WM2005 Play Sound - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro Accessories

Dear all,
Does anyone know if "sound and notification" -> "Play Sound" accepts any other format other that WAV? If so How is this achieved? I know that Ring Tone is the only exception. Thanks.

MP3 as SMS (Text Message) Sound?

Hi.
I need some help to set an mp3 sound as SMS (text message) received sound. I put the mp3 file into My Documents/My Ringtones and when I will set the SMS sound (Start/Settings/Sounds & Notifications) I cant find the mp3 on the list
Does anybody knows how to set it?
Tks.
Copy the MP3 file to My Device/My Documents
Start > Settings > Sounds & Notifications > Notifications Tab
Tap the Event dropdown and choose "Messaging: New text message"
Make sure "Play sound" is ticked, and tap the dropdown to choose your sound.
Your MP3 filename *should* be there.
Tap the play button to test that it is the right one, then tap OK.
You now have an MP3 sound for your text notification.
Ok ZenithUK.
Thanks for yours instructions.
Plz modz, close the topic.

[Q] Disable ringtone?

I have an Android app that runs extremely well that does Text 2 Speech when someone rings me. Aka will say who is calling outloud. I selected the "Override ringtone" option in the application but it continues to ring and talk the name which is annoying. I only want it to talk, not ring.
How can I disable the ringtone permanently without muting it?
power button perhaps ?

Custom notification

Anyone know a way to get a custom notification sound on the watch. Not ringtone but notification sound? Wanting to change ringtone and notifications
sure search for "Smart wear notification" works like a charm.
Hello I have a question regarding ringtones for the HW2.
I moved .ogg files from my PC to the HW2 folder - SDCARD/Ringtones.
Âfterwards I rebooted the watch. On the sound notification tab the titles are listed. The pre-listening of this files are also working but when I select it and then I make a call on the watch it only vibrates and gives a single repetetive "ding"-sound. Is there something that I have to adjust?
Thanks

Notifications that lower music and media sound volume (in silent mode) (MIUI 10)

Hi all,
I'm having a problem with my Xiaomi Mi 6 with MIUI 10.0.1.0 stable: I always use the phone in silent mode, with no vibration either, because I send all the notifications to my Amazfit Bip, but, even though this, everytime I receive a notification whatsoever while listening to music or watching a video, the media sound is lowered.
It does that with Google Play Music and YouTube.
My phone only lowers the media volume, it doesn't actually play a notification sound, since it's in silent mode.
It's incredibly annoying.
I can't listen a single song without being disturbed.
I wandered through the options and found nothing about that: have you got suggestions?
Is this a MIUI feature or there's something wrong with my phone?
Thanks!
I think I found a workaround but this definitively needs to be a bug because it's a really nonsense behaviour.
I went to Settings > Sounds and Vibrations > Ringtone & Notification Sound > and I set "None" for Message Received and Default Notification Sound.
I made some tests and now I can receive notifications from WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger Lite, Signal, Telegram and GMail while listening to music, without the music being lowered.
(Sometimes it happens again BTW...).
Obviously, this is a nuisance when using the phone not in silent mode, because I won't hear most of notifications.
Hi sberla. Did you found any other solution to this issue? As a music lover and Spotify's, the experience with my new Mi8 has been not as good as I though. Thanks!!
Hi Manu!
No, unfortunately I didn't find anything else but with the workaround I described, everything is working fine now
My friend had same issue. In sound settings she checked "also vibrate for calls" + "vibrator in silent mode". This solved the issue. (Redmi Note 5)
go to the app that notifies and lowers the notification Settings > Apps > Manage Apps > <app> > Notifications and turn off the allow sound
i use miui 11 and this is the only solution that worked for me
A little bit late but, on MIUI 10/11 I use to workaround this problem just by setting the DND mode. Just after you put the smartphone in DND the multimedia volume will decrease to zero. Just rise it up again.
Thanks, it's a little bit uncomfortable but it should work!
Hey everyone, I finally found the settings, that turns this off - go to settings --> sound and vibrations --> and there is a "sound assistant". You just need to turn on "more sound sources" when you open it up

Default notification sound S20

Hi,
I customized the notification sound for SIM1 and SIM2 and now all app notification sounds have changed to these (custom) sounds.
I cannot find the "default notification sound" anywhere, not on the device, not in this forum, nowhere. There is no more "Default notification sound" on top of "Silent" in the selection screen.
What is the filename of this sound and/or from where can it be downloaded?
