Any idea if the Unlock Hidden ROM hack works/is needed on the premium P3300(Artemis)?

Anyone know how to turn off SMS notification after you send an SMS? ("SMS has been sent") Looking specifically for someone who has successfully done this on their Artemis - it seems to have a slightly different registry structure to some of the changes listed under tips for other devices to achieve this.

Operation A2DP (A2DP for all devices) - One step closer

I have downloaded the new T-Mo MDA Pro ROM and decoded it with the tools made by mamaich and with the procedure given by Buzz.
I then dumped the contents of the "nk.nba" file to a subdirectory called Dump . I opened the subdirectory and noticed that it had all the ROM files in it including those for Bluetooth (obviously). I also noticed many BT files as shown in the screenshot below.
Now, what is the next step that we need to do to be able to port A2DP and probably even the Remote SIM access profile to the other devices? I know its possible, i just want to know how!!!
Ideas anyone?

Can someone make anything out of this? The folder called "bta2dp.dll" also contains 4 other files named:
1) S000
2) S001
3) S002
4) S003
All the files in the dump with the letters "bt" in them can be seen in the attached screenshot.
Notice there is a folder with the name "BthAGPhonebook.dll"
Sorry for by bad english
Have you tried to move this modul to another ROM and to set this in the registry

Hi Bepe,
Your English is fine!
The problem is that the BT dll files are packaged into folders rather than the regular .dll files. I cannot create a dynamic link libray (dll) file without the help of applications i don't know and don't have.
If someone has the knowhow, i will be more than happy to upload the file for you guys so that you can do the necessary.
Cheers.
I have attached the BT files from the ROM just to save time Let me know if you guys need any other files.
Yes I know, this folders are moduls.
But it is posible to integrate this folders/moduls to other roms using viewimgfs.exe and BuildImgfs.exe.
Or are you traying to convert a folder to a regular .dll?
This would difficult, I only managed to rebuild resource-dll's.
Hi Bepe,
I was trying to rebuild the dll's but it was difficult just as you said. Luckily, Asukal has uploaded the Bluetooth dll files from this T-Mobile MDA Pro.
I copied over all the dll files to my Jasjar but it messed up my device so i had to restore everything through a backup i had taken. I am now going to add only the a2dp and acrcp files to the Jasjar and see what happens.
Will keep you all posted.
Well, i just ported "bta2dp.dll" and "btavrcp.dll" to my Jasjar and added the necessary registry entries, but still didn't get the Wireless stereo profile when i was pairing with my headset.
Something is missing somewhere. Anyone else have an idea what it could be?
dll
i compared carfully.
1:TMUK has more dll than i-mate
sbc.dll
Avrcp_MPplugin.dll
bta2dp.dll
2:also some dlls file size were different.
other dlls are seems to be same size in explore,
but actualy sizes were very little diffenrt each other.

not sure all of them are usefull, just picked up.
You are all copying the missing files...You are forgetting one very important one though: The updated file called btdrt.dll
Surely this is needed?
Trying it out right now. By the way, how do you know that this is an important file?
Ok, so this is a real trouble-maker!
Copying this file to the Windows directory actually wipes out everything from your today screen and turns off the wireless functions and keyboard access!!!
Are you sure that this file is the key to a2dp?
i agree another updated files needed,
Today Screen mainly manage thres.dll or shelres..dll managed,
also coredll.dll.
many of other BTxxxx.dll also size were different a alot.
i think not only a few of dlls can not work.
we need to replace not only BT relative dlls, but also OS core dlls.
If you compare the old BTxxxx.dll and new one each one by one, you can find thier defference in sizes.
it will be long way to do.<for me.....i already have been workd this since T-Mobile German ROM 1.20 was released, but too poor skil to be done>
Obviously that was not the only updated file you need... Sorry! LOL, you guys got your work cut out.... good luck!
I hope Buzz or Mamaich take some interest in this. I guess they are the only one's who can probably make something happen here!
Thanks for your help Asukal
Cheers!
@Asukal
How did you dump the Bluetooth dll files?

Startmenu backgroundimage?

Hallo together!
I found this picture :

"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

}
Is there an ability to set this picture as a "startmenu-background?" - not homescreen background!. Any registry entry?
Now it is setup a simple color gradient from white to green and i want to change it.
Any ideas?
Greetings
flexo
I tried to do this using the .xml editor I named ir windows.home using xml editor. I can't get it to show up though.
How did you do that? didn't understand.
Just open the image with MS Windows Paint and save it as a JPG file. Then go to your homapage.home.xml and edit it, replacing the background image for this one. That should do the trick.
He wants to change the START MENU not the HOME SCREEN. I know you can change the colors, but don't know how you would change it to a pic.
nobody an idea?!?!?
From Juni at http://www.juniskins.com/
Just rename the above image to startmenubg.bmp:
How to set the start menu background image (note: you only have to do the registry modifications once
on your device - if you done them before you don't have to do this again - just copy the image over):
In a registry editor go to this key:
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Shell/Rai/:MSStart
Check if you have an entry called "BKBitmapFile". If you do not, create a new "String" value.
Name : BKBitmapFile
Value data: \Application Data\Home\startmenubg.bmp
Add the following lines to the same key :MSStart
a Dword value with the name BKBitmapLogPixelsX and the data value 131 in decimal
a Dword value with the name BKBitmapLogPixelsY and the data value 131 in decimal
a Dword value with the name BKBitmapTransparent and the data value 16711935 in decimal (or FF00FF in hexa )
a Dword value with the name BKDefaultGradient and the data value 1 in decimal
a Dword value with the name BKFlags and the data value 26 in decimal
and finally a String value with the name BKUnselected and the value data COLOR_ALERTWINDOW
Copy startmenubg.bmp to
\Application Data\Home\
Soft-reset your device.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Ha! Malatesta, you beat me by two minutes in the reply
Here's how you would do it if you named you bitmap "startmenubg.bmp" This information is borrowed from http://www.juniskins.com. I have not tried this with your bitmap and it may require some more tweaking in the hex values:
BTW, Patience next time, friend.
Here's my modified version ...
BTW guys, once you add a background, you cannot remove it. The Start menu becomes non-functional if you remove these settings. Do a backup first!!!

thanks JAmerican, btw, is that a clock in the top of the screen? if so, where did u get that, i have been looking for just such an app

ROM Extractor

ROM Extractor 1.0
This program can extract modules from ROM.
Program only can extract modules (exe,dll,cpl,...)
(files which have FILE_ATTRIBUTE_ROMMODULE)
but not designed to copy other ROM files, like bmp.
You can copy other ROM files by using a file manager.
Program can handle both XIP and EXTIMAGE files.
You should understand that all files comes without relocations.
They are stripped from image and not stored in ROM at all.
(Most of EXE files works fine)
Compatible:
Should work with Windows CE 4.2 and Windows CE 5.0.
Tested in WM 2003 SE and WM 5.0.
Please report about WM 2003 and WM 6.0.
Interface
*Enter path to module
You should enter path to module, always \Windows\... ?
*Save to:
You should enter output filename.
*"Set security offset to zero"
clear security RVA and size fields.
*"Set fixup offset to zero"
clear relocations RVA and size fields.
*"..." button
you can chouse file from list.
Double click on item will select it, "OK" will close.
Program set some fields to:
Linker version = 8.0
Operating system version = 4.0
Image version = 0.0
Stack commit = 4096
Heep commit = 4096
Heap reserve = 0x100000
Also you will have resources in .pdata section.
(This will be fixed in the next release)
Thank you for your program.
Would you change the font of this program?
MS Shell Dlg -> Tahoma..
the program is great.
however you should consider adding a default output path (say, "\") for those like me tampering with a CE.NET device with no chance yet to activate "Input Panel".
wm6.1
It seems to work just fine in wm6.1 as well.
However I do agree with crusher;
"however you should consider adding a default output path (say, "\") for those like me tampering with a CE.NET device with no chance yet to activate "Input Panel"."
ok I'm having a blond moment... what is my save to path if I want to save to my SD card? I tried '\storage card\' and \storage card\my documents\ and neither worked. Help me help my brain work this early in the morning! thanks
This one works great too: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2122307
For extracting NBH files
How do you dump the file back in \Windows? I am modifying shellres.dll.0409.mui to change the "Start" word (String Data 321 if you are interested - Thank you joemanb), but I cannot place the file back. I have tried using both Explorer and Resco 2008 without any luck. Any ideas will be much appreaciated.

Is there an update for this program?
Preferably one where you can select multiple files at once and don't have to type in EVERY output filename (it's much slower when you can't copy-paste on the Touch HD)
do not work.
can`t create output file

Very nice looking indeed, what I did is put 100% trnasparent images in the dll and than modify the cpr like this;
Code:
<TitaniumListView ID="HomeNav" Width="45" Height="268" Columns="1" Rows="100" ItemWidth="240" ItemHeight="39" Clip="False" >
<Layer ID="Focus" Width="45" Height="45" Clip="False">
<Image ID="Image Default" Left="0" Top="-7" Width="45" Height="65" ScalingAlgorithm = "TriLinear" Opacity="1.0" />
[COLOR="Blue"]<Image ID="ImageFixed" Source="\Windows\Focus_Panel_Portrait.png" Left="0" Top="-7" Width="45" Height="65" ScalingAlgorithm="TriLinear" Opacity="1.0" />[/COLOR]
Than I just create an image and put it in \Windows or where ever you hard linked the new image in the cpr. Now you can just swap out images and leave the dll alone.

thanks for the tip, this will sure speed up the process of creating a theme, messing with the .dll back and forth is a tedious process.

No problem, you can do the same with the icons in each expanded layout of the cprs. I copied the icon code and pasted it back i as a new line of each expanded layout. Give it a source and rename Icon as Iconfixed and bam, you add a custom hardcoded image to the layout. That's how I made Neo Tinaium. Than just use the left/top portions of the original icon and move it off screen. It'll load but you won't see it.
First installment of this theme is now available in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=502902 .
Question?

My question is not for this particular theme but I am hoping to get some direction. It is more of a coding issue.
I am wanting to replace an icon (picture) with another one and this is what I have:
I have commented this one (original which works)
<!-- <Image ID="Icon" Left="8" Top="14" Width="20" Height="25" ScaleStyle="Stretch" /> -->
And trying to get this one to work (but it does not).
<Image ID="MiniPhone" Source="\Storage Card\My Documents\My Pictures\icons\PNG\24_iphone.png" Left="8" Top="14" Width="20" Height="25" ScaleStyle="Stretch" />
I just "made up" the "MiniPhone" ID - is that the problem?
Thanks,
Shep

which panel are you trying to make this change for? the ID "Icon" is actually hard-coded in the registry with pre-defined path, so it's overriding your "Source" attribute. That's why it's important to know which panel you're trying to change so that i can tell you exactly what needs to be changed to get this working, should be fairly easy.

[WM 6.5] FONTS, COLOURS, SIZE Modify and Redo your theme

First of all thanks to showaco for his efforts and work on skinning. Many thanks to agent_47 for providing cpr files and guidance.
I read pieces of this here and there and so decided to assemble in one place to make it work. This is tried and tested on my Xperia. Stil try it on your own risk. Below is just an example.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

}
Attached is a zipped file for various fonts.
Also attached is a word file for font colour scheme.
Attached Original Xperia titanium cpr files. these files work with showaco titanium weather, ctext, cphone, cfavourite people, cvoicemail, cemail, ccalendar, clauncher, cphotos. Thanks to agent_47
Attached is the "MYCPR" 480*800 titanium cpr file based on my screen. Just copy it to your windows folder root using total commandeR and restart. File explorer cant handle this cuz it wont paste the file. For the 800*480 landscape mode i shall edit the cpr in a couple of days. You have to also copy the attached font DomeAregato to your wndows root folder for this particular cpr to work. For more fonts see the How to below. Make sure to backup your original cpr files from the windows root directory.
HOW TO CHANGE FONT
1. Download the Fonts.zip attached below. Unzip.
2. Download the original cpr files. Unzip and change attributes of Titanium_480*800.cpr and Titanium_800*480.cpr to archive from readonly. This can be done by right clicking on files and going to properties.
3. Double click on Titanium_480*800.cpr and click to open it from notepad.
4. Find "Tahoma" and replace all with the exact font name found in the *.ttf file of the font you want to use. Use the replace command in notepad for this.
5. Save the file. Copy it to your mobile storage card and from there copy to your windows root directory using total comander.
6. Also copy the *.ttf file of the font you chose to windows root directory. It would be all the more better to copy all ttf files of fonts in the fontz.zip to windows root. This will help future changes of fonts.
7. Restart
Please Note: Font names for step 4 can be found from the downloaded fonts.zip you just downloaded. Unzip the file and choose whichever font you want from a list of fonts i can update later. Be sure to open the *.ttf file in each font folder and check the exact name of the font. Do not use the font name on the folder but the exact name that you see in the respective *.ttf file.
Changing Font colour and text size follows this post in a couple of hours.
Font Size & Colour
Copy the Titanium_480*800.cpr file to your computer. Open the "Titanium_480*800.cpr with notepad as mentioned in the 1st post.
All the plugins that you have installed on the titanium will be there. Every plugin configuration will start as
"Plugin namr" templates. For example,
<!-- Phone templates -->
<!-- Clock templates -->
<!-- Text templates -->
Under each template would be two categories expanded and then condensed. for e.g
Phone Expanded
Phone Condensed
We should for now concentrate on condensed. It would look like this,
<Layer ID="PhoneCondensed" Visible="False" Width="480" Height="68">
<Layer ID="Page">
<!-- Plugin Label -->
<Text ID="PluginLabel" Left="20" Top="8" Width="440" Height="68" FontFamily="Popsies" FontSize="18" FontStyle="Regular" Wrap="False" VerticalAlignment="Top" Trimming="EllipsisCharacter" Text="phone">
<TextStage TextOffsetType="TextOffsetDropBottomRight" Color="#00000000" TextOffset="1" BlurFactor="3" Alpha="1.0" />
<TextStage TextOffsetType="TextOffsetNone" Color="#F665AB" />
Look at the color in the last line. This is set to purple as in the picture above. Standard white colour is "#FFFFFF". You can replace this with the code that you want matching the colour you want.
Colour codes are available for download in the 1st post. Once done, repaet it for all condensed values of various plugins you have. Save the file and copy it to your windows directory root on xperia using total commander.
Font size change follows.
Guys,
Heres another screenshot. Please post yours.
