Traditional Cable headphone - JAMin, XDA Neo, S200 Accessories

Hello! I lost my normal headphone and I'd like to buy it.
The original model was very ugly so I'm looking for a nice one.
Do you know a classic headphone with cable?

Hello, you can buy it at Qtek's shop,I know just the french link to buy it,I think it's the same thing in all countries.

Thanks, but I don't like the original one.
It is very ugly.
I would like buy a similar one...
Can anyone help me?

I use original sony-ericsson headphones that were shipped with my old p910i -they have perfect low and high frequencies and seem to potentially produce even better quality than the device itself with mort player they give nice sound.

Great!!!
Thanks for the advice!
The answer buttons works proprely?

Pepez
there is one button and it works properly, you can answer the call and dial last dialed number by pressing it. good luck.

xda2 headphone work with xda2s

hi
i have an xda2s an have relised that the original xda headphones dont work (only one side of the headphone works) with this phone neither does the c500 headphones or the e200 even though there all 2.5, i have many brand new 2.5 to 3.5 converters but now they dont work on the xda2s as well i presume its something to do with polarity, my question is does the xda2 headphone work with the the xda2s, the xda2 headphones are the ones with the answer andend call buttons plus the dial.
thanks alot.
btw ive lost my original headphones to soldering wouldnt help
Mine don't work. In fact they don't even fit because the XDA2 headphones have a wierd plastic bit on the jack which means they only fit the XDA2.
thats weird because my uncle has the xda 2i and that fits fine into my xda2s and that two has the answer and endcall buttons as does the one i want to buy,the htc people make it very dificult by making the 2.5 headphones not work with some modles. does the supplied xda headphone that you have also have the end and answer button. thanks
yeh, i know wat u mean...i have the same problem with the 2.5 to 3.5 conveter...with only one earphone working...if u fiddle with the postioning you will find that i works... so the theory that i have come up with is that i think the connections on the "jack" itself is different to standard, if you look on the "jack" there are 3 rings around it, which is left speaker, right speaker and micraphone...so i think that the rings are in a different order so when u plug anything else in it uses one side as a speaker and the other side as a micraphone...Well at least thats what i think but im sure its pretty accurate...but im open for correction...and if anyone has a solution to the problem then let us know... im using some earphones from motorola with a 2.5 jack and they are working perfectly, quality is a bit better than xda2s earphones, but thats about the best i could do...
hope there is a solution soon, i guess we just need the right 2.5 to 3.5 converter...if there is one...
I also had the same problem. When I bought mine new PDA2K device I tried to use my old XDAII headset and you're right -- it doesn't fit and it doesn't work. On www.expansys-usa.com I bought the PPC Techs 2.5mm/3.5mm converter for headset and for stereo headphone -- no luck doesn't work anymore with my new PDA2K.
I have noticed one thing though -- as standard 2.5 mm headset from RadioShack now works without any problems! I don't know why is it happening but they didn't work before with my previous XDA device... I also don't know if it is good or bad for PDA2K.
Does anyone know the internal wirings of new PDA2K and has it been declared that it will be officially compatible with the standard 2.5 mm headsets (which will been nice of course if it was).
Pretty good converters IMHO can be found at:
http://www.pocketpctechs.com/
thanks for all your imput.
my original questions was asked because ive lost my xda2s headset and was wondering if this headset from ebay would work with my phone. as i said before i have xda headphones that fit perfectly into the socket but yet only sound through one ear. im not intrested in a converter ive had enough of them. if i get a working headset then i may try the soldering later on.
could anyone just check if this headset may be compatible with the xda2s
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6411586495&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT&rd=1
i know for sure the xda2i headphones work fine in my phone.
thanks for your help
No they won't. There's already a thread about this somewhere. I can't remember who said it but someone mentioned that HTC must have shares in the Jack company as they seem to change the adapter for EVERY handset. It's so annoying that the 2.5mm to 3.5mm converter doesn't work as I can no longer use my XDA with a cheapy iTrip in the car.

well said, just keep the knowledge flowing.
A little late to the game, I know, but...
You, like myself, have yourself a FAKE DS970 headset. Buy it from eBay with PayPal? Start a dispute with the seller now. Don't wait, there's a time limit.
You know it's fake if it sounds awful and locks up when you try turn it off. Those people should rot for selling these things in the first place.

I have too, this piece of ****.But i removed crapy earbuds and replaced other sony earphone. And became good BT Stereo headset...Quality is good now.
nice trick will try later. on 2 pda that i have.
New earphone type is mdr-e818 that is replaced instead of old (and crap)earbud .Sound very cool with this.Works well with Trinity and show incoming caller's name and number on the display. http://www.jetwaremobile.com/index.htm this progs helps in this.Maybe i will take a photo from my new hbh-ds970+mdr-e818 )
Hey where would i be able to buy that?
Does anyone have the issue where this stereo bluetooth only conencts to your original phone (in my case a PDA one) and wont connect to any other phone (yes i have tried eveything including going to multipoint function)

I had the same problem and found the solution to power off the headset.
In order do the following:
1. Switch off the BT communication from your PDA (mine is Goofiish X500)
2. Power off the HBH-DS970
It's works every time for me. For an unknow reason, if you try to do the reverse, the headset is stuck....
About the fake headset I've compared mine to these pictures http://213.19.178.16/se/ and it's seem to be genuine... or maybe they are perfect fake!!
Where do u buy a better earbud for this?
Here is a modified version of (fake) hbh-ds970 with mdr-e818 earphone http://nagc.fw.hu/sony.jpg
Tessy did you get more bass with those earphones?
and how did you do that? please tell me because i want to put hpm-70 earphones on my ds970
Just upgrade to the DS-980's. They look more stylish and I have been told that they are much louder than the older DS-970's.
i just want more bass, they are pretty loud....and i really want to know if changing the earphones produces more bass
Was thinking of getting some of these myself - how do you change the earphones on them? or is self explanatory when you get them?
Unfortunately, you can´t change the earphones. It's the price you will have to pay for having the mic on the cable instead of on the remote/thingie..
Check out HBH-DS200, it's a variant of the DS970/980 but with the mic on the device - and therefore changeable earphones. The DS-200 do not have all the functions like controlling audio or display who's calling...

stereo bluetooth 3.5mm adaptor

I was thinking about buying one of these.
Does anyone else have one? Are they an good?
I have just a basic usb to 3.5 headphone adapter, and I use iPod headphones.
Sounds great to me.

Yea, I bought those and they are being shipped to me right now.
But I think that the stereo bluetooth adapter seems pretty convenient, no?
If HTC shipped a bluetooth adapter like this, I wouldn't complain about the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack
Or you could just get stereo BT headphones and forget the wires and adapters!

No stereo bluetooth headphones can compare to my Shure earbuds.
Plus I think that most stereo bluetooth headphones are clunky.
Do you have a nice pair though? any recomendations?
I got one from ebay as well. I paid less than that, but it's still the same. They all are manufactured in China. I use mine everyday. Good sound quality, works right out of the box. I haven't really had any problems.
I only have two complaints. 1. You cant use them while charging, as the charger shown in the third picture is plugged into the headphone port. Strange, yes but it works. That is not really that much a problem, because it has great battery life! 2. No matter what I do, I cannot connect it to my computer to stream music from my computer to the A2d2p adapter. (or whatever it's called, lol) If you come up with a solution after you get yours, please post, or email me.
For me, price was an issue. I didn't want to spend a whole lot of money to listen to music from my phone, but I wanted good sound quality. Regular Bluetooth Stereo Headphones are expensive. For me, this was the way to go. I bought this and a pair of Sony wrap around headphones, and I am rockin'. I think you will be pleased.
**edit**
PS - I have attached the manual I got from a Chinese Suppliers site, as one doesn't come with it. At least not with mine. (Maybe thats why I got mine cheaper, lol)
PSS - And you know they are not only headphone adapters, but can be used for calls as well. It is kind of awkward to hold the adapter up to talk to someone, but I usually just clip it on my lapel. OK, done editing now.

Nice! Thank you for the information!
I think I'm going to get one, I just have to be careful because most of the ones they are selling on Ebay only have UK outlet plugins. I live in the US, and it looks like you do too by the picture of your plug.
I have these:
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-DRBT21G-...?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1246133334&sr=8-29
Great sound, comfy and durable as hell.
But I think im going to try out these next as I want something smaller and lighter, Im still shoppin though for a newer pair:

Cool dude. The Voyager ones look nice, but I think I'm gonna go the cheap route and just get the converter.
I have one of these:
http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/products/accessories/overview/hbh-ds200?cc=CA&lc=en
It's a Sony Ericsson DS-200 which I bought last year specifically so I could plug some decent headphones in!
I think it was fairly expensive - about £50 when I bought it, but it has worked great with anything that I've wanted to pair with it, including my Excalibur.
But it's far better than using a wired headset with a 3.5 jack in my opinion, because if you use "proper" earphones that come with a long-ish cord then combine that with the long-ish cord from the wired headset then it makes for some nightmareish tangles! Using A2DP seems like freedom in comparison!
Highly recommended

Lol about the longish cord, gave up on wired headsets as the ammont of times i'd rip the cord when cycling, i'm using STAK semi enclosed cans made for 3 network they were cheap bout £30 and give loud playback with comfortability and like post above a2dp makes listening to music far more enjoyable skippin tracks in an instant answering calls in an instant...
BT is the deffenat way to go
Then cap it off with PocketPlayer....

I'm using Sennheiser CX300, not audiophile grade by any means but certainly better than bundled headphones or stuff like that, they're great.
I love impressing people on the bus by hiding the A2DP receiver in a pocket and then watching a movie or something on my phone, I've had a few people who were watching over my shoulder anyway ask me how I was listening to the sound! Hehe

Travel speakers

Hi!
Hope you guys can help me.
I´m going out travelling next month and now i´m looking for some good travelling speakers for my Rhodium. I´ve been looking around, but the most i found are made for iPhone.
So now I´m asking if someone knows if it exists similiar for HTC?
And not the tiny ones with crappy sound?
Blutooth, usb, 3,5mm? Come with suggestions, please.
(Sorry for bad english)
[Edit]Someone tried the Altec Lansing inMotion IM4?
Most probably too late. I use Nokia MD-4 on my HTC. It's 3.5mm plug end. They are quite powerful for size, and sound nice. A huge improvement on my internal HTC speakers.
got creative travelsound they work ok if you don't want super loud sound
http://www.gadgetspage.com/audio-video/review-x-mini-capsule-speaker.html
I got this one. This is by far the best portable speaker. It's very small yet you hear the bass (because of the extendable feature) perfectly and full.
I guarantee you that you won't regret buying this speaker.
By the way, my dad was able to get a newer version of this and it's now a dual speaker. I just don't know where to find one on the internet.
Also, beware of fakes, they don't last long

2) http://www.amazon.com/IHOME-Recharg...HSD3Y/ref=pd_bxgy_t_img_b/190-7863992-4902163
I haven't seen much beat these :
http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/9623066/X-Mi-X-Mini-II-2nd-Generation-Capsule-iPod-MP3-Speaker/Product.html
Each one under £14 and it really rocks! I bought one and most people who hear it are amazed by the loudness and the bass ability when you unscrew it. Very small (easily fits in the palm of your hand) and youcan daisychain them together with the built-in socket.
Does anyone know of a speaker system that does NOT require a 3.5 mm jack and plugs directly into the mini USB port?
I can go the other way, but if I had one less dongle to carry that would be good.
Thanks in advance.
If you want sth really weird, look here:
http://tamspalm.tamoggemon.com/2005/11/19/review-inflatable-speakers-by-ellula-now-defunct/
But, onto sth more serious: I dont think that MiniUSB can support speaker. It is data out only...

HTC wildfire in ear phones

I am looking to purchase a better pair of headphones but am unsure which are compatible. I would like a pair with mic & player control, i think i read some where that any that fit an i phone or i pod wil work, can any reccomend or offer any advise please, Thanks in advance.
I presume pretty much any new headphones with the buttons in the middle.
They key is having the three lines on the jack, i'm thinking there might be a standard for which pin is the control (as the other two would have to work for audio in everything)
Dont quote me on that though, could be wrong :s
