help ... xda exec won't start after rom flashing

somebody please help ... just flashed my xda exec with the latest rom and now it won't start... When trying to hard reset it and just after pressing "0" in the white screen it won't boot... I plug in the mains charger and the orange light won't show either (so I can't know if it's charging). I'm not quite sure but I suspect that the main battery's red plastic lock-switch was in the "unlock" position during the flashing (but the battery was 100% full just before). Is that relevant ? Could this have drained the backup battery and that's the reason that it won't boot now ?? please help...

hello there..i've also got the same problem....i've download he rom update software from 02 uk...after install in my exec...and hard reset..it hang in the boot screenn...
please help..all the pda genius....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm worried!!!!!!!!!!

i've also got the same problem...i've update the rom after dwnloas the rom software update from o2 uk....after suceesfull install to my exec...i've hard reset as per instruction.....but..it just hang in the boot screen mode...
please helppppp all the pda guru's and master!!!!!!!!!!1 i'm worried!!!!!!!!!

... what's the "bootloader mode" ??... (it's not documented in the user guide, is that a sequence after pressing 2-3 buttons together or something like that ?)

Put the Universal in bootloader mode by pressing Power + Light + Reset, which brings up an un-backlit screen with "Serial" at the top, and "v0.XX" at the bottom. (A lot of people get an error message if they are not in bootloader mode. They can install the ROM a second time. If you are in bootloader mode, you won't get an error message.)

dear kumar..i've tried for a few times...eventually i've tried to reinstall using the old rom..but its still hang....
i've contact o2 custpmer support ..they asked me to send it to the service centre...then i ask how to send and the charge would be (eventully i'm in malaysia right now) but they ask me to call the service and warranty centre personnally..
i've called them but the line was so bad and can't hear them clearly. Even so i've given my email address for them to email me their correct address for me to sent it..and their email address for me to communicate..but until now..no news....
please help me sir!!!

U shld better get it replaced .

What ROM did you guys flash? My suspicion is rising that one of the new AKU3.2 ROMS is the culprate, and that there is something wrong with one of them.

still stuck at serial and 1.00
hi.. i had installed WM6 on my o2 exec, i dont know why but had some signal issues with it, so i tried to roll back to 1.30 from the official O2 site... 1st time i tried to update, the PDA got reset just at the begining of the checking process... i tried again 2nd time this timed it just died.. now hard reset as well as the bootloader both just get stuck at the same damn screen "Seria" on top and "1.00" at the bottom.. i've kept the piece on charging for several hours now... no matter what i do, nothing happens.. just the same screne for hrs and hrs and hrs.. i removed the battrey and put it back... stil the same screen... someone pls advice... its just breaking my heart..

trouble with rom update
Like Acer, my device has a trouble with the rom too. In this case, I'm trying in bootloader mode but the rom doesn't instal. The first screen shows only the rom which is going to upgrade and when instalation finishes nothing was upgraded. Can you help me?

I flashed my Uni with ROM Pdaviet 2.10.10 clean version.
Now, my Uni cannot boot at all
I have tried to enter to bootloader ..... but it still does not work at all
Please, all master of ROMs, help me ......

i too had the same problem, after installing the rom update from o2 site...
i had to send my set to servicing then only i got it right..

I do not know how, but now my Uni work again
and now, I install Pdaviet 2.10.10
It's working now .....

I had the same problem, i had to send it to the O2 repair canter, they fixed it, but was returned with out the up grade, now im afraid to re-try.

Got the same problem here after using PDAVIET...
No upgrade working

This happens with the uni sometimes regardless of rom. Remove the battery wait 5 minutes enter bootloader and reflash. If it doesnt work reflash again just the CE os rom. It will kick out in one of those. It usually helps to flash to operator stock rom first then back to wm6 or cooked WM5. (You have not hurt the device, the uni is a picky girl but always comes back

Ok, I tried to upgrade from the original WM6 to WM6.1... didn't work (Phone was freezing at the HTC boot up logo)... tried the hard reset many time and still doesn't work. So I recovered with the original Rogers WM6 ROM using the bootloader mode but phone still doesn't boot. Now I only get a black screen.... Please help... not sure if there is anymore hope for my S621.

O2 atom life upgrade help needed i read everything to this point!

Hey guys.
Im trying to upgrade my O2 Atom life from WM 5 to the latest O2 official 6.5 WM ROM.
When i tried updating normally by connecting my phone to computer and running the rom setup... my upgrade process gets stuck at Stage 4 with 0%.
If i put my phone in bootloader screen and then upgrade, i get Customer and model ID error.
After reading this forum I tried changing Pass.32 file properties from WWE to CHT and still i get the same customer and model ID error.
I even tried uploading those two files al1.dio and ext rom to a mini sd and upgrade through bootloader that doesn't seem to work either.
Can someone please guide me what else can be done step by step.

Ps - im using latest Windows Device center with windows vista.

hey sorry. yeh i have read that page... nothing helps me there... ok so i got my phone upgraded somehow to the latest 6.5.... but i'm facing same problem.. whenever phone turns off or restarts it goes straight to DSUU white screen.. and the only way to come out of it is by ressetting the phone to factory by pressing record + power button n pressing the hole.... to restart.
not sure whats wrong with it.

Have you asked on atom section?

Okay. So what exactly did you do or what exactly happened to your phone?

man did ya try to charge it? maybe the bettray is dead and can ya load the boot screen u know just press the down volume button and reset see if u can see the three colors screen if its then dont worry ... worst thing is just re-flash the rom PM me for extra help buddy

I have the same problem with my phone after i tried to update rom.
I flashed hardspl 1.40.OliNex and then Diamond_Radio_1.00.25.07 ...everything ok until i tried ruu_diamond_orange_ro_1.37.70.1_radio_signed_diamond_52.33a.25.17_1.00.25.08_ship.
Now it only shows an image with orange and
r: 1.12.25.19
g: 52.60.25.33U
d:1.93.00.00
and nothing else since yesterday... I can get it to bootloader tricolor screen but that's all cause no matter what i try to flash it stops randomly at X% and get error update. The only difference was Radio_1.12.25.19 that seemed to work. Hard reset doesn't work either cause i get the same start image with orange and that's all.

and pls tell me where you bought ur diamond from and if you know the stock rom which shud be in ur device.
even if u dont know the answer to 2nd question tell me where you bought ur phone and ur country

I live in Roumania and bought the phone from someone and i don't know where did he get it from... but when i tried the official htc suport they said that my phone was made for Czech Republic and that's why my ROM update doesn't work...
The answer to second question is that i don't know

I had only the htc logo at start-up and i do have a video camera front facing.

go to this link and scroll down to bottom...

when you go to the bottom of the page, you will be requested to enter ur SERIAL NUMBER which you just found under your battery.
Enter and press submit.
now select the file Windows_Mobile_6.1_East_Europe and start downloading...
let me know if the download has started also

I started the download ...

Okay good. So once the download complete you are ready to flash...
This is how to flash...
1. Put ur device in bootloader mode again.
2. Connect the device to ur PC
3. RUN the downloaded file....and press NEXT NEXT NEXT....
Reply back if the flashing process is goind smooth or even if you face any problem...
Then i can finally go and sleep

[Q] Rookie Mistake

Hi I have and IMATE PDA2k EVDO and I tried a d-two rom and I now have the device sitting on the 4 color screen every time I reset it. Any idea how I reset it back to defaults so I can load another image onto it, I have the original image. any advice would be appreciated.

Actually I just fixed it.
Anyone know of any WM5,6 or 6.5 roms that work on this phone. The EVDO network is dead here in Australia so I just want to convert it into a PDA.

For the love of God... if you are going to make a thread saying "Hey guys, I broke this, how do I fix it?" Do not EVER update with "I fixed it!" without telling us HOW you fixed it.

I thought it was such simple fix it did not requiere explaination. To enter the bootloader you do the following
Press Power + record (above the volume slider) + softreset at the same time.
This puts it into the load mode so you can reflash.

hi nid help... i followed the instruction on how to upgrade my ppc but it seems that the download link for win 6 does not exist anymore and now im stock in the boot loader i think the screen only shows "serial and below shows v2.07" i cant use my phone anymore i tried to reset it and emove the battery but stil it only shows serial... hope you can help me guys tnx...godbless

Yea so did anyone figure out this whole problem with the white boot loader screen? I'm no where near a programmer or anything but I think my boot loader version is out dated. My HARRIER, not blue angel, is stuck at a white screen that reads Serial(USB when connected to usb of course) and v1.02. I've had a Harrier before this and it had the four color screen for boot loader. Am I on to something here?
Oh btw I already tried to reflash the rom over and over but updater keeps saying it can't connect.
