USB GPS Receiver capable? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam ROM Development

Hey guys...
After reading the last wm6 vanilla thread, i can imagine how annoying i was w/ the wm6 black 2.0 release b*ing and whining about how i coudln't my wireless to work...
anyways, i'll try to cut the stupidity posts to a minimum but in the meantime maybe someone has tried using a usb gps receiver on their phone.
i'm trying to configure ports and stuff via usb, but not too sure what baud rate, which com port etc to set everything at for maximum usage... in fact i don't even know if the darn thing works with my phone either
about to reinstall googlemaps to see if the usb will work....
i know everyone is using bluetooth, but i had this garmin usb 18 laying around for my laptop and bought a usb --> mini usb adapter and thought i'd try it
if anyone has tried, please help me out... thanks

Not a stupid question, a stupid place to ask it. Try here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=307

you can't connect a USB GPS to the phone.
the USB GPSs require a server side USB port, the phone is only a client USB port. Hence, you can't connect peripherals to it such as GPSs, printers etc...

Bluetooth GPS units work very well with the Hermes though!?

yes please close this thread... the if the hermes supported USB Host then it would be a possibility of having it working... but no chance....

I am going to build USB port, need help.

Well guys,i am going (me and other guys who have good experience in e-circuits)to try build a USB port to the Himalaya..
Now I understand by the http://wiki.xda-developers.com/wiki/Connectors link that only the large connector have the pins for USB..
During this time, any help, new informations about himalaya's USB will be appreciated.
In fact the project "USB port" is actually at level zero. (really busy previous week)
I am trying to make this to connect especially a Mouse to XDA2
So,I really need a help from you,MattM and others..
Can someone build or convert a generic windows mouse driver to pocket pc?
Or maybe is more easy to make a serial connector for mouse?
Then does we need a pointer?
-Is this factible? or just a dream?
(Laucher Prog based on Flash like PocketWin has a Pointer add-on)
Waiting for your replyes!
Regards,Ser
i read something about it in this forum, try searching for home made keyboard or mouse & you might find some answers to the basic questions
Come on guys!
I will use the DC adapter connector and USB female connector.(You can see the photos attached)
-But first explain me closely about UDC- and UDC+ does they are for data transmission or power?
Also USB_VDD is for?
-If I connect a USB device to the XDA2 does it will give power to it?(for mouse,etc..) or do I need to connect an external power alimentation? If yes,6V?
-If I build a Serial port can you explain more about:
RS232_DCD
RS232_CTS
RS232_TXD
RS232_RTS
RS232_RXD
RS232_DTR
Maybe is simply make the serial cable like on the "Connector's Page" (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/wiki/Connectors) and attach a serial Female-Female to connect Mouses and others?
Please post your comments,suggestions,ideas.
Regards,Ser.
UDC- and UDC+ are data
USB_VDD is for power
I don't think anyone yet knows if the XDAII can work as a USB host anyway.
For rs232 you will normally only need RS232_RXD, RS232_TXD and ground.
I'm sure someone did a serial mouse program before....
Jamie
RS232_RXD, RS232_TXD are for data?
I hope someone did the program but i've searched over i-net and didn't find anything about it!
I've also read about the built-in USB port of Toshiba, some people connected their HDD and all went perfectly.
So,I hope connect a mouse will not be so hard..
Regards
Have a look here for a mouse driver http://www.windowsfordevices.com/articles/AT3401319437.html
Yeah,i've seen it before but don't sure if it will function properly, but let's take it for that moment.
Thanx!
After a short search over i-net I found the prog. that uses Toshiba for its serial devices like mouse, keyboards: Click n'type and Point n'type..let's figure more about.
OK,now I will connect the female usb to the connector like:
RED (USB_VDD +5V) to Pin 13
GREEN (UDC+) to pin 14
GOLD (UDC-) to pin 15
BLUE (GROUND) to pin 16
Correct me if it isn't.
But I can't find a scheme of the connector that I will use,I can't understand which is the pin 1..2..
Can someone give me help about?
Thanx to RUDEGAR that provided me the link,http://www.deje.gmxhome.de/software.html
I have the USB drivers and pointer for Mouse, also support for Mass storage.
i have disambled this connector 2 times
let me look it up for you

now the upside is when you hold the connector flat and you see the 2 cutout lines in the plastic wich goes into the xda
topleft from that is pin 1
Well,the cable doesn't work! :x
-XDA2 does not give power to the usb device (tryed with a optical mouse)
(N:we verified with a VoltMeter and all cables seems to be ok)
-Also the DeJe Drivers (originally built to Toshiba) don't work. But the driver's are compatible with all WM2003 OS..
-I verified that on my pc(Win XP) when I connect the Optical mouse,it will no give power to the device once it load the drivers,so I guess maybe the same on Pocket Pc?
What do you think about?
-Probably I will build a Serial Cable for the Mouse
Regards, Ser
have you tryed a usb pen yet.. I see you mentioned storage before
yes,in fact I have't installed the Mass storage drivers for a Pen Drive,etc..
But I verified that no led (on pen drive) and no optical light was lightening so is easy to understand that XDA2 don't gives power to the USB devices... :?:
would they light anyway ? do they only light when the correct drivers are used and its told to light. I think it would be a awesome idea to add usb to the xda.. you could then use it for loads of other things..

It cannot work. Never will.
There are two different types of USB devices: hosts and clients. You can only ever connect a client to a host. Connecting client to client does not work. It's a bit like two people picking up the phone, none of them dialing a number, but still hoping they'd get connected. Not going to happen.
All USB mice are USB clients. The XDA II also is a USB client. The USB chip in the XDA II can only handle being a client. It does not support host mode, so no software in the world can change the XDA II to a USB host.
So, connecting a USB client to an XDA II will never work.
For serial communication (RS232), there is no such problem, so it may be possible to connect a serial mouse to the XDA II. The first thing you have to make sure is that the voltage is correct. "Normal" RS232 uses +12V/-12V, whereas most small devices (and quite likely also the XDA II) uses 0V/5V. You may have to add a MAX232 (or compatible) level shifter chip to your cable.
I strongly suggest you search the 'net for RS232 and read as much as you can find. If you just experiment with cables without really understanding the implications, you might damage your XDA II.
Once you sorted that out, make sure you connect all the handshake lines your mouse uses. I would imagine that some mice may need at least the DTR line assigned before they will start doing anything.
After that, the rest is software. Your driver will have to a) pick the correct baud rate, b) drive the handshake lines correctly, and then c) it can start receiving data.
Good luck!
Daniel
well there are CF cards which have usb master support
and with the backpack the xda2 can use CF cards
of cause the driver issue could be troublesome and i'm
not sure about the speed dec going that interface to interface way
but i would not rule out that it could work
with the right drivers mind you
How about connecting a serial to USB convertor to the serial port on the XDA II?, surely that would leave you with a USB host port that you could plug a mouse into?
In this case is more simple to connect serial mouse to the serial port.
Dunno if how u tell the usb will work.. :?:
http://www.expansys-usa.com/product.asp?code=113389
Would this do the trick?
It says host ports, can the XDA2 handle it?

USB doesn't work???

Can someone please help? I just bought a used P3300 from ebay (a wholesaler). The phone works great, absolutely everything works except for the activesync over USB. The phone is not even seen by the computer with or without activesync. I have tried it on several computers with the same issue, yet the battery charges through the USB cable.
I even reflashed the ROM using the SD card method and still have the same issue. What might be going on here??? How can the USB data connection be not working? I've never experienced this with many different phones I've had.
thanks,
Go to Settings, Connections, USB to PC, and untick Enable advanced network functionality.
I tried that, it didn't make a difference. I also tried both Activesync 4.5 and 4.2. Still nothing. I hard reset and soft reset several times - still nothing.
What Firewall is on your PC. Could be this causing the hassle.
Have you tried using a known-working usb lead?
I had this problem also to begin with, google an application called "USBKILLER" and put this .CAB onto your memory card and load this onto the phone.
When your in the application select SERIAL and click YES and this should resolve your problem - I am not sure why this happend but my mate who has the same phone does not have this problem and can resolve it by removing the check box in USB to PC settings
hey guys.... thanks for the input. My firewall is disabled - I read the Microsoft article regarding the ports Activesync uses. But AS works with my other phones, so I know that's not the problem. Same thing with the USB cable. It works with the other phones but not this one.
nicko666, I will try that USBkiller program later tonight. Thank you for the suggestion. I'll let everyone know how it goes.
Found USBkiller Cab File Attached - good luck
I tired the USBkiller program (found it myself earlier) but it also doesn't make a difference. I tried changing the setting to SERIAL in the program and also playing with the "advanced network functionality" and activesync connection settings and it's a no-go.
Still nothing works. Do I have a broken device?
hardware problem
i had the same problem after 1 month of using my p3600 i pay 59 euro to change it because the garanty not include this problem.the service told me that it was my fault !!!!
Hello. Is your PPC detected by Windows in the manager of peripheral? It is necessary that you look at if you have a new network card named "Windows Mobile".
I had that problem. I am sorry, but I think you bought a used and not-functional phone. The problem is probably due to high power that the phone got, probably when charging it through a car-charger. You should NEVER connect the phone to a car charger and then start the car - the power can damage the USB connection. You should always first start the engine and only then connect the phone to the charger.
Anyway, I had the same problem - the USB could charge the phone, but no Active Sync connection. I sent my phone to HTC UK, and after one week I got it back with a new board (they replaced the whole inside of the phone). Free of charge.
If this is the situation with your phone - no software solution will help you.
Damn, that sounds like what's going on with my phone. How do I find out how to have it serviced? I can't find anything on the useless HTC site. Please help....
And thanks to you all for the help so far.

I remember sending them mail regarding the problem, via HTC site (mail: [email protected]).
After all the solutions they suggested didn't work, they called me and asked me to send the phone to the UK (they gave me all the details and were very nice and efficient). I must say that my phone was still at warranty period.
this may sound silly, but have you tried the usb ports on the back of the computer?
for some reason, the usb headers on my motherboard don't seem to recongise the phone, i'm not sure if theres no enough power or what, i've onbly tried the cable in a laptop and that works fine...if i plug them in the front usb ports i get the error in windows 'Your device has malfunctioned, Replace the Device and Try Again' or something very simular, tried the other usb header on the board, same problem, back ports, no problem...all other usb devices work fine in all the ports!
Dear all.
I work for a company that has over 600 of the htc p3300. Some of them will work in the usb and some don't.
I have 4 at the moment, 2 of them will work with the usb and the other 2 won't........
Tries all the stuff mentioned here and nothing helps.
Can't update them because of the usb........
HTC are not a lot of help either......

Hi I had been trying to sort this problem out too, and after reading about starting cars with the device on charge I thought I was doomed. But what stead suggests has just worked for me too. I was using the nearest USB on my laptop but plugin it in round the back has just got it working again. The last time it synced it was 'Repairing' the Active Sync 4.5 setup program run through. I must admit that the cable into the phone is also resting on a pen at the base of the phone- just to make sure....

Landline Adapter

Hi, i am looking for an adapter so i can plug my phone in via miniUSB cable to Landline phone and have it take n make calls over landline, any ideas? I had a google and a search through this forum but cant seem to find anything.
Thanks
Mat.
you dont mention what device you have
but only the Athena
can do any type of usb host
which mean other devices can only use it's connector for 3 things
1 be connected to from an usb host like a pc
2 use the audio wires for a headset
3 be charged over it
problem 2 is that
usb is a digital serial bus and landline is an analog system
so they cant talk unless a modem is between an analog old fasion modem
like 56K
and one which support voice input never seen one which
can do it over usb
Hi thanks for your reply i have an XDA Orbit.
so i guess no ethernet connection, or OTG usb. I will have a look at the athena though as this is my personal phone and i am looking for somthing for work.
Though how about usb over ditital networks and interfacing to ip phone switches ?
Thanks
Mat.

No Syncing, No USB Connection!

I searched... I unchecked the USB to PC "enable faster data synchronization" checkbox... I ran a repair/reinstall on my PC's ActiveSync software... Tried 2 different USB ports (but haven't tried a different cable yet, as I don't have another with me)... And reset my Tilt 2 a few times already, and my Tilt 2 refuses to connect or sync with my PC.
Worked fine here on Friday, but today I got nothing. The only thing that I noticed that was different over the weekend was that I got the Sleep of Death once and had to pull the battery.
Below is my current configuration. Anyone have anything else that I can try? If I can't get my syncing to work, my phone may end up being completely useless to me... That would make me very sad.
Thanks,
Debbie
Well, I started to respond and see you already had my suggestion; disable "Enable faster data sync", which for me does break ActiveSync.
So I'll go with this tact; if this is in fact broken for you for some reason, does USB work at all? How about using the phone as a drive? That said, are you sure you didn't check the default when plugging in the phone to be something other than ActiveSync?
Settings->Connections->USB to PC, last option is "Ask when I connect device to the PC"
If all else fails, personally I use Google for my calendar, contacts sorta with Google, and I load all apps via the browser, so I haven't used ActiveSync in about a year myself. So at least for me, if ActiveSync is broken entirely it's not a big loss. You could also try Bluetooth syncing if it's absolutely required.

USB doesn't work at all. Just tried the "Ask when I connect device to PC" and nothing happens. :::whimper:::
Could my port be damaged (it will charge via USB, however)?
EDIT: Just did a hard reset after exhausting all other ideas... Crossing all appendages that it was software interferring with the sync process... Pray with me, please.
EDIT... AGAIN: Nope, hard reset didn't do squat. I'm truly sad now and fear that I may need a USB port repair... Anyone have experience with this or can point me the direction of repair that won't cost me as much as a new Tilt 2? I'm truly gutted.
Debbie
The Little Light Bulb Over My Head Went On...
But there's no need to be afraid!
I'm thinking that there must be some USB Bluetooth thingy that I may be able to use to sync my precious Tilt 2 to my PC that is surely to be less expensive than getting my USB port replaced.
Have any of you had any experience with these and do they work just as well?
Many thanks!

Absolutely, you can get a small Bluetooth adapter for your desktop PC which will just plug into a free USB port and enable you to connect your PC to just about any BT-enabled device, your TP2 included
BT uses a very standardized set of protocols, so any adapter that says it supports "version 2.0 + EDR" should work just fine for you. Once you get the adapter installed on your PC, syncing your phone is just a matter of setting the new activesync connection, and after that it should be just as easy as ever....easier even, without the cable!
um, is that what you were asking? lol I'm 99% sure it was, but...

Yep, that's exactly what I meant, Chris! Getting the USB port fixed will undoubtedly happen at some point, but for now that Bluetooth USB adapter will fit the bill nicely.
I just connected my Tilt 2 to my PC with the original cable and I got nada... Syncing is definitely shot. Thank God it will still charge or it would be a total loss to me.
Looking at Newegg.com now for my bluetooth thingy... Any other reputable suppliers that I can check for one? I suspect that it was my Ebay car charger that fried my USB.
EDIT: Seems some of the better rated ones on Newegg indicate USB 2.1... Is this still OK?
Hey, I can't cook a ROM myself, but I'm a very technically minded beotch, ain't I? LOL!

Cool, I'm glad I was thinking along the same lines
Yes, any adapter that is BT 2.0 or above should work just fine, the 2.1 adapters are just a bit newer. I assume you're looking at the two zoom models on newegg? I think either one will work great, I just really can't tell what the exact difference is between the two.
It's a little confusing when looking at the BT adapters, they don't do a very good job of making clear the difference between USB 2.0 and BT 2.0. But...just make sure that the adapter is BT 2.0(or +), and it will work with whatever USB ports your PC has (older or recent)...they're all backwards compatible.
FYI, the TP2 also supports file transfer via BT (so you can move cabs etc back and forth even without using activesync, usually much faster than through activesync), and printing too!

Bluetooth Sync Successful!
...Kind of.
I forgot that I did a hard reset to try to resolve my USB syncing problem (without success) and had to restore my PIM backup to get my info back in there. Now, I've got all those duplicate/blank records to delete again... DAMN!... I had ignored my own rule!!!!
Anyway, I'm glad that this new phone isn't a loss to me now. Kind of a bear to get set up only because I don't usually use any BT devices, so it was a bit of a learning curve for me. Now that I've got that all sorted, it should get easier as I get more familiar. Not as easy as docking it, of course, but at least it's effective!

Yeah, I did, including different cables. Syncing capabilities via USB are definitely fried.
My Kaiser synced up fine, however, so it's definitely my Tilt 2.

SKTools has some nice duplicate files software...just gotta be real careful with what you remove as it may be the same file name for a different program.

Haha yea I know the feeling. At one point I duplicated 3 of each contact and appt.
I like Seven for syncing to e-mails, contacts and calendars because it is all push technology. When I update a contact in Outlook regardless of where I am it will automatically push that info to my phone, that way I do'nt have to worry about docking it (although i'm not sure if it does reverse sync, where if I have an appt on my phone shows up in outlook).
Hi Every One
I have exactly the same problem grrrrrr
I have win XP pro sp3, tilt2 with last HTC official upgrade
I made a search in XDA, Google it, htc forum nothing to do
Finally I do hard reset and is work …… for 2-3 hours
Then I think I find the problem bat I do not have the solution
Well, when you connect the tilt2 to you PC this stupid one consider the phone as modem and the tilt is configured to be used for internet sharing, even if you click on the phone that you want this connection as activesync,
So, once the phone is in modem or sharing mode, activesync cannot work properly and get access to synchronize, in other word you cannot do booth, and as the default connection in this situation is modem and internet sharing so bye bye activesync
I go to task manager and delete the modem, once you connect your usb, the modem appear under network card/widows mobile based device
A doesn’t know if this situation is a bug from HTC or uncle bill… I am trying to fix this from almost 2 days
I hope this help
Thank you
PS: please I am not to expert, so perhaps I am wrong correct me if it is the case
PS 2: Sorry for my English
Ive been on the other side... I did upgrade to 6.5 sense 2.5 rom and usb stopped... I tried everything, cables, computers, roms, hard resets, patchs, activesync repairs, botting ppc and pc, booting ppc plugged in pc, install - uninnstall activesync, deleted partnerships, etc, in one word - everything founded on the net. Nothing worked. No usb, no activesync, just "usb device not been recognized...". Finnally, I gave up. Contacted DebbieNY13 for bluetooth syncing instructions and bought bluetooth usb 2.0 edr 2.1 adapter. For no reason, I plugged a phone in a PC, and, as usual,my TP2 asked me for type of connection, I said activesync and... it started to sync! One time, two, ten, then I change connection to USB and my SD showed up as usb device! Unbelieveble! Thats happened yesterday and my phone still got usb whenever I want! I really dont know whats happened or what I did, it simply works. Only difference from times when sync was ordinary thing is, when i plugged a phone and decide which way of usb connection I want, little pop up shows up with text"RNDIS Serial USB connection Hide", or something like that, and quickly dissapeared. Thats my case, hope Ill find out whats going on and post it on forum.
Please do! Yours is not the first that I've heard behaving wonky like that.
Here's praying that mine someday starts working all on it's own, too!

Does the Samsung LAN/USB Hub ET-UP900 work?

Hi @ all
Does anyone knows, if the original Samsung LAN/USB Hub ET-UP900 will work with this tablet? Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to post a link.
I'd like to fit the tablet into my car, use the two usb-ports for sound-out and external hard-disk, use the micro-usb for charging the tablet while using the usb-ports at the same time. LAN port not needed.
Does this work?
Greetings from Switzerland
Patrick
I've been wondering that my self??
Anyone?
I have just checked on the Samsung German site and when you select our model of tablet it comes up and says not compatible. Although I personally would take that with a pinch of salt. Shame it was not a little cheaper then I would just buy it and try it lol.

Also looking at the specs closer it is for use on the Note Pro so there is absolutely no reason why it would not work.
Assuming that too, but too risky to buy the tablet and the hub if something won't work after all...
So I'm hoping that anyone is able to check it out.

So, guys, after a few tries with other devices like Multimedia Dock......cause i can't believe, that its not possible to use usb and charge at the same time, and ALL other devices definitely Don't work, I buy this at conrad electronic in munich, cause there I know, I can bring it back, and get money back, if it doesn't fit......and, I wonder very very much.....it works.....but I only tested usb and charge....and device check it as a usb connector....thats important.....I dont know why, but multimedia dock won't work, it doesn't be shown as a dock, no charging. ....but it works with note 3.....strange.....but now im looking for a way to connect it to LAN. If I connect it, nothing happens, no internet connection.....how it will work on pro? An app needed? Cause in settings are no options to configure a Lan Connection......I think, you will need ipv4 settings for.....or it is done very simple and there is a simple script in the firmware of pro devices? Anyone knows? Im searching the internet, but found nothing about......
Ah....and the reason for searching this device is: if you want to use a bluetooth keyboard, you'll have problema with bluetooth connection all the time....I figure out, pairing it new every time is better.....but at this device, wlan an bluetooth must be going over the same modem or hardware, cause if you use both, wlan and bluetooth for keyboard, you got massive trouble with internet connection and sometimes you cant connect to your access point.....really ****.....I try an usb keyboard , wireless from Microsoft with pad....and this works perfect. ...but then, you can't charge anymore.....with any hubs or something, no chance, and all older devices wont work.....damned.....does anyone have a solution for the bluetooth trouble? I try the bluetooth fix apps also, they help a but for bluetooth problems but not for the wlan disaster....whats the reason for ? The radio?......wil be happy for any answers.....
you running kit kat or?
After seen the spec and it probably wont work. ET-UP900 need USB 3.0 port and Note 2014 only have USB 2.0 port. Maybe some kind of USB 3 to USB 2 adapter might work.
The USB 3.0 Port is just for charging, for example with a wall plug...
sent from htc one...
I'm thinking it's more of an issue with drivers or kernel ....
That's why I'd love to hear from someone with KK installed
Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) should work!

Just got my brand new official Samsung USB lan/Hub. And..... it doesn't work. The usb part of it seems to wok ok, but it doesn't detect ethernet. The user manual wants me to go into the settings --> more networks-- Ethernet connections... BUT I have no such setting
planing on playing around for a little while longer, but sorry to say lads, it doesn't seem to work.
suggestions?
Seems that I atleast have hit a wall with regards to getting this to work. Anyone have any bright ideas? or dark ideas for that mater??
Anyone actually managed to get this to work?
Ok, guys.....i think, you mean the adapter for Note pro? I got it, and it works. .... first, i bought this, cause it was the only USB adapter, that charge and using usb at the same time with p600........... and then i try to get Ethernet work. ...... the thing is, you have to know some things about ip4 connections, this is a kind different to wifi connections. ...... but i can offer you good news, the adapter works. The thing is, the firmware of p600/605 isn't modified to say the apps, they can connect to Internet with ethernet. ..
With the Adapter, the connection works, if you look to your router, you will find your device in Lan network. ......
What you need, are two things. ..... first, the app "ethernet" from play store (need root), that gives your device the right ip address, subnet mask and the gateway. .... (you don't have to do anything, just start the app, and press "enable")...... and the second one ist xposed framework and the module "hack connectivity", this little tool will say all apps to listen also to Ethernet Routing, not only wifi....... for me, this ,works like a charm, if i come to office, i plug the adapter in, with a wireless keyboard usb plug, Lan connected and also a cable to charge my note 3........ than i just enable the ethernet app, and change keyboard to my own for external keys (external keyboard helper), and that's all, so i have Lan Internet (4 times faster than wifi), have connection to my pc, and a external keyboard and mouse. ..... that's perfect. ....
If I'm finished, i plug the adapter off, and disable ethernet app, it changes automatically to wifi. ........
For generally information : Android already have ethernet drivers enabled from source, also in Samsung firmware, eth0 is working, the thing is, the apps are just programmed to listen to Wifi only. ....... don't know why, cause it's just one simple parser line to get this working.....
OK, on a mobile, it's not so interesting to havea Lan connection, but on a tablet, this will really good and fast. ....
Try this and habe fun. ... but i don't understand, why Samsung have the pins of the 10.1 204 so stupid organized, that all docking stations and usb adapters don't work with charging and usb at same time. .... the note 3 Multimedia Dock will not be detected as a dock. ....... that's so stupid. ....... shame on Samsung. ... if this was my company, i will fire the engineers at the same day if they make such a ****..........

I was wondering, where I can find the modul: hack connectivity? I was locking on the modules... I did not found it.... Can you tell me where it is...? and its exact name?
Thanks
I got this ET-UP900 adapter working with a SM-C115 by compiling a custom kernel. If you add the right drivers you can probably run use it with most devices.
During the build process of the kernel you run "make menuconfig". Here you select "Device Drivers" > "Network Device Support" > "USB Network Adapters". Include the "Multi-purpose USB Networking Framework" and "SMSC LAN95XX base USB 2.0 10/100 ethernet devices". If you add those as module you got to load them with "insmod mii.ko; insmod usbnet.ko; insmod smsc95xx.ko" in this order.
My current problem with this is that the device is not carging through the adapater. I guess there is another driver or option missing but I am still looking into this.
