Krazr head phones and Calendaring program - HTC Excalibur

Hi, I was wondering if the wired krazr headphones would work with my s620. I pluged them in and they were not recognized. Is there something else I would have to do? Also is there a way to have my calendaring program show my whole days schedule or even 1 or 2 events on the front screen?
Thank you very much for your help ahead of time!

any one care to help a newbie?

Hello,
Welcome to the Forum !
honestly, i would have helped you if i knew what to tell you. anyways, don't worry - i'm sure someone will help you.
Good Luck !

Thank you for the welcome!

Interesting that you would ask that. I just tried that same thing a few minutes ago.
The headset with the KRZR is only mono, not stereo and doesn't work for me.

SBSH's Facade is pretty good with calendar displays.

Facade is great!
Thank you for the help!

Hey
The Moto headphones won't work because though they look the same, the connector on them is miniusb while on the Excalibur it is extusb protocol. There is a difference in the setup/number of pins so most likely only HTC headphones will work, or an adapter but the motorola headphones won't. Different specification.
Hope this helps, and someone else can correct me if I'm wrong.

Searching a DEFECT Jabra BT200 or BT250 !!!

Hi
I have a Jabra BT250 and a little problem.
"Something" has broken the Holder for the Earbud.
Please see the attached pic for details...
After some Mails with Jabra, there are two ways:
Buying a new one.
Or finding a defect one to get the part.
Please help me finding it...
Thanks
Jolinar
Superglue it direct to your eardrum, that way you will never forget to bring it with you.
Thanks for the idea, but then i loose the functionality to rotate it.
And the ability to clean it. :?
Sorry but i have to bring it up again...
Can´t belive that i have to throw away a over 70€ headset, because of a 2Cent part.
Please anyone a tip for me, how to get it !!!
Thank you

xda2 headphone work with xda2s

hi
i have an xda2s an have relised that the original xda headphones dont work (only one side of the headphone works) with this phone neither does the c500 headphones or the e200 even though there all 2.5, i have many brand new 2.5 to 3.5 converters but now they dont work on the xda2s as well i presume its something to do with polarity, my question is does the xda2 headphone work with the the xda2s, the xda2 headphones are the ones with the answer andend call buttons plus the dial.
thanks alot.
btw ive lost my original headphones to soldering wouldnt help
Mine don't work. In fact they don't even fit because the XDA2 headphones have a wierd plastic bit on the jack which means they only fit the XDA2.
thats weird because my uncle has the xda 2i and that fits fine into my xda2s and that two has the answer and endcall buttons as does the one i want to buy,the htc people make it very dificult by making the 2.5 headphones not work with some modles. does the supplied xda headphone that you have also have the end and answer button. thanks
yeh, i know wat u mean...i have the same problem with the 2.5 to 3.5 conveter...with only one earphone working...if u fiddle with the postioning you will find that i works... so the theory that i have come up with is that i think the connections on the "jack" itself is different to standard, if you look on the "jack" there are 3 rings around it, which is left speaker, right speaker and micraphone...so i think that the rings are in a different order so when u plug anything else in it uses one side as a speaker and the other side as a micraphone...Well at least thats what i think but im sure its pretty accurate...but im open for correction...and if anyone has a solution to the problem then let us know... im using some earphones from motorola with a 2.5 jack and they are working perfectly, quality is a bit better than xda2s earphones, but thats about the best i could do...
hope there is a solution soon, i guess we just need the right 2.5 to 3.5 converter...if there is one...
I also had the same problem. When I bought mine new PDA2K device I tried to use my old XDAII headset and you're right -- it doesn't fit and it doesn't work. On www.expansys-usa.com I bought the PPC Techs 2.5mm/3.5mm converter for headset and for stereo headphone -- no luck doesn't work anymore with my new PDA2K.
I have noticed one thing though -- as standard 2.5 mm headset from RadioShack now works without any problems! I don't know why is it happening but they didn't work before with my previous XDA device... I also don't know if it is good or bad for PDA2K.
Does anyone know the internal wirings of new PDA2K and has it been declared that it will be officially compatible with the standard 2.5 mm headsets (which will been nice of course if it was).
Pretty good converters IMHO can be found at:
http://www.pocketpctechs.com/
thanks for all your imput.
my original questions was asked because ive lost my xda2s headset and was wondering if this headset from ebay would work with my phone. as i said before i have xda headphones that fit perfectly into the socket but yet only sound through one ear. im not intrested in a converter ive had enough of them. if i get a working headset then i may try the soldering later on.
could anyone just check if this headset may be compatible with the xda2s
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6411586495&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT&rd=1
i know for sure the xda2i headphones work fine in my phone.
thanks for your help
No they won't. There's already a thread about this somewhere. I can't remember who said it but someone mentioned that HTC must have shares in the Jack company as they seem to change the adapter for EVERY handset. It's so annoying that the 2.5mm to 3.5mm converter doesn't work as I can no longer use my XDA with a cheapy iTrip in the car.

Maintenance manual for universal? or may fluffcat1 help me?

I think that i have read somewhere on the internet about maintenance manual for universal, may anyone has it or its link?
If no, how to disassemble my universal, the LCD coaxial cable is damaged, and i cannot hear the sound from the side speakers (the media files or ringtones) hear only the sound of call from the ear speakers on the screen side. I have read a thread before from fluffcat1, he said that he knows how to disassembe univresal and also how to repair the cable if the damage is minor which may be true in my case. Please help me, the new cable is too expensive in my country. Thank you very much in advance.
37 views aND ABOUT 3 DAYS WITHOUT ANY REPLY, I HOPE FLUFFCAT1 WAS NOT AMONG THOSE VIEWERS.
Anyway, this is my experience, may it beneifit anyone here. I decided to open my Univ. downloaded the service manual from the internet and dollowed the steps to tear it down. I didn't completely dissassembIe it, I found that a main part of the cable exposed after removing the base of the device, I fixed that part wirh a piece of paper, and i think the device is working good now, except for sporadic call drops. Do u think that this drop is attributed to the cable, or as I think it is a separate issue?
Hi,
Have a look at ftp....

well said, just keep the knowledge flowing.
A little late to the game, I know, but...
You, like myself, have yourself a FAKE DS970 headset. Buy it from eBay with PayPal? Start a dispute with the seller now. Don't wait, there's a time limit.
You know it's fake if it sounds awful and locks up when you try turn it off. Those people should rot for selling these things in the first place.

I have too, this piece of ****.But i removed crapy earbuds and replaced other sony earphone. And became good BT Stereo headset...Quality is good now.
nice trick will try later. on 2 pda that i have.
New earphone type is mdr-e818 that is replaced instead of old (and crap)earbud .Sound very cool with this.Works well with Trinity and show incoming caller's name and number on the display. http://www.jetwaremobile.com/index.htm this progs helps in this.Maybe i will take a photo from my new hbh-ds970+mdr-e818 )
Hey where would i be able to buy that?
Does anyone have the issue where this stereo bluetooth only conencts to your original phone (in my case a PDA one) and wont connect to any other phone (yes i have tried eveything including going to multipoint function)

I had the same problem and found the solution to power off the headset.
In order do the following:
1. Switch off the BT communication from your PDA (mine is Goofiish X500)
2. Power off the HBH-DS970
It's works every time for me. For an unknow reason, if you try to do the reverse, the headset is stuck....
About the fake headset I've compared mine to these pictures http://213.19.178.16/se/ and it's seem to be genuine... or maybe they are perfect fake!!
Where do u buy a better earbud for this?
Here is a modified version of (fake) hbh-ds970 with mdr-e818 earphone http://nagc.fw.hu/sony.jpg
Tessy did you get more bass with those earphones?
and how did you do that? please tell me because i want to put hpm-70 earphones on my ds970
Just upgrade to the DS-980's. They look more stylish and I have been told that they are much louder than the older DS-970's.
i just want more bass, they are pretty loud....and i really want to know if changing the earphones produces more bass
Was thinking of getting some of these myself - how do you change the earphones on them? or is self explanatory when you get them?
Unfortunately, you can´t change the earphones. It's the price you will have to pay for having the mic on the cable instead of on the remote/thingie..
Check out HBH-DS200, it's a variant of the DS970/980 but with the mic on the device - and therefore changeable earphones. The DS-200 do not have all the functions like controlling audio or display who's calling...

HTC Desire - USB audio output possible

Hi Devs,
first of all, sorry for starting a new thread, but searched the forum and didn't find exactly that.
Like I've read, there is no audio over USB support built-in to our mighty Desire.
I tried a few different microUSB to 3.5mm jack adapters from ebay - even one declared as for HTC Desire. Checked the usb-pins-assignment also and it seems that HTC hasn't built in (or turned off) that function in opposite to some other manufacturers.
So will it be possible to write a rom or a kernel, that'll support that?
If it is possible, I would appreciate a few hints what I'll have to do, to get this thing working!
Thanks in advance!
Can I know why you need that? Is it for A/V out?

Its not possible to send analog audio signal over the usb since its a standard usb plug. Only the old htc phones with extUSB had audio, but its was a bigger plug with more pins.
On that note i dont get why you want to get audio from there, when theres a nice 3.5mm jack socket on the top of the phone.

Thanks for your quick answers!
Yes, since there are no music docks for desire I built my own and it has to be possible, other phones with microUSB have that function - why not ours?
I know the old extUSB plug from my magic, there it is no problem. But there must be a way to get this working! I think it is only a software and/or driver issue.
If you'll get a music dock you'll have to plugin the phone + jack everytime? ? ? Look on ebay there are a few universal docks over microUSB, but not working for the nearly best and most sold android phone on market?
Pls give me some hints if there is a way to do that - everything is possible!
Sent from my HTC Desire

Umm, well not really. Because who says that the USB port of your phone is connected the right way internally to actually SEND data over the cable/dock.
I have no idea on how to do it. Thats just what I think, but with Android, a LOT is possible

YEAH IT IS!
On Nexus one they built in extra pins for docking and audio over that works like a charm.
I'm having a few adapters microUSB to 3.5mm jack for Motorola,Samsung,Nokia...phones from ebay, but not one reaction from Desire
Maybe the adapter for Desire needs a Digital-to-analog converter to get analog audio out of the microUSB port.
But no technical details over that from HTC - does anyone know more about the microUSB connections on our Desire? Tried to get a technical manual for Desire, but no chance on google...
If there is no other solution, I'll have to disassemble my expensive Desire to get a view on connections and maybe some hints which IC is managing the microUSB.
Does any dev know what would be possible by modding a kernel or rom?
Thanks in advance!

im also looking for something like this, though i want digital-audio out. for example in my car, plug and play so i get spotify from my usb to my stereo and able to control spotify from my stereo. there is no problem for this if you use iphone, though id like to be able to do it on my htc.
any solution?
Ability to stream out the audio through USB would be something nice to have.
There's a guide online on how to splice a USB and 3.5mm cable to the Apple USB cord so that you can charge and play audio on ipod accessories, as long as you don't mind having USB and audio plugged in at the same time. http://www.erwanmace.com/2012/07/ipod-dock-android/
