Breeze and Cavalier have the same chipset (qualcom/samsung chipset which is same as hermes as far as I know), you should try with breeze/hermes tools. Vox and Excalibur have TI Omap chipset and thats why it will not work on Cavalier.
Anyway, if you try breeze/hermes methods do it on your own risk, you could brick your device you know!
Do serch the site as there is somewhere a thread where people had changed radio rom on breeze with pof's patched radio, but I'm not sure that it will work.
Cheers and good luck.

The pass few days I have also try the breeze and Hermes tools. Doesn't work.
In China, there is a guy saying can be unlock his Dopod C730 into supercid with some kind ActivePerl tools in here(Chinese Website)
But also don't work with my X02HT.

Latest Rom

Hi guys, I understand all the roms were taken off this site but I need some help.
I bought the HTC excalibur today and it has a test rom on it. as a result I cannot use wifi as it says driver is not found. Where can I find the latest htc excalibur rom.
check in my sig
your device may not have the hardware. The test ROM on my device had no problems with WiFi but some devices have been sold without the hardware and the firmware that has the WiFi drivers makes no difference.
Just a possibility...
excalibur
is there any way to get this excalibur wm5.0 in spanish?.. please.. ?!
The Latest Rom Should Be The Shipping Rom Wm6 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They should ship the original wm06 ROM now in april, anyone know when exactly?

bgniko, you're are AWESOME! I must have spent in excess of 4 hours looking around the Internet for different ROMs to use with my T-Mobile Dash, and you really helped me out. Thanks!
P.S. If you happen to find the Dopod C720W ROM (looking for it for the Traditional Chinese support), please let me know. It's not available on Dopod Taiwan's member only site... yet.

Can I go back?

I looked around and did not see a clear answer to the question of reverting/flashing back to WM5 if desired after flashing one of these WM6 ROMS.
Does anyone know where I can find the answer?
Thanks in advance.
I too have looked around but haven't asked for fear of being flamed. The gurus think that we should be able to pick up on all the lingo and have a clear understanding of what everything means.
I am looking for a way to go back to a shipped ROM from anything after flashing SPL 1.11 in case I need to warranty exchange my Cingular 8525. I have yet to figure out how to do it.

Yes. You can go back to WM5 from WM6. I have done it before with no problems. Your answer is once again yes!
I will not flame you but look harder.

once You go black (2.5 ), You will never go back...
hi there
first of all, I am no expert in the ROM related knowledge, but i did go back to WM5 from WM6 recently. The reason I have gone back to WM5 it is because I am suspecting the Chinese viewer (CE-Star) that i used does not work good in any flavor of WM6, it causes frequent lock-ups in WM6 that makes my phone pretty much unusable.
Besides, i don't mind to share my experience for downgrading to WM5, the following is my up and down sequence.
1. upgrade from Dopod WM5 rom to WM6 cooked rom
2. upgrade to SPL 1.40
3. upgrade radio to 1.38.00.11
4. upgrade radio to 1.40.30.00
5. upgrade to SPL 2.10
6. downgrade SPL from 2.10 to 1.40
7. downgrade from WM5 Rom (It is some sort of HTC Standard WM5 Rom that my friend gave me, and my radio has gone back to 1.38.00.10 as the ROM comes with it.
8. upgrade to SPL 2.10
9. upgrade to Radio 1.40.30.00
Also, you may check out mrvanx's guide for downgrading to WM5 here.

actually... i'm on black 2.5 and thinking of going back... too many apps are wiggin out on wm6
I actually just did it. I was running the latest version of HardSPL, flashed to the new ATT ROM, and then created a updater to flash the SPL to the ATT spl.
Wasn't hard, and only took a few minutes. So, as of right now, my phone is running the new ATT ROM, and if I need to warranty it, I'm all set.
in the wiki it mentions..
If your vendor has released you original rom as a shipped upgrade, you just need to flash it.
If your vendor has not released any ROM upgrade yet, you cannot fall back to original ROM easily. You'll have to reconstruct the ROM out of a dumped ROM.

I'm using 838pro, what about the ROM which available to download from the dopod company website.
does it safe to just flash from it or do I need to repackage the ROM..?
thank you.

if you only want to read chinese, but not input, there is an alternative to it. look for a cab which is named 'sunglobe.ttf register patch'.
Maybe the easiest way
First thing I would want to do is to Flash the unit to what is known as a "Hard SPL". For some reason it makes all the other flash work go a lot more smoothly. You can get instructions and software for that at:
http://www.mrvanx.org/cms/index.php...ask=view&id=40&Itemid=26&limit=1&limitstart=2
Once that is done, and it should take about 5-10 minutes depending upon the speed of your computer and USB connection, you can load whatever OS rom you desire.
You can get a carrier agreeable rom from the Cingular/ATT site:
http://www.htcamerica.net/support/8525/software-downloads.html
Or, and this should work, just link directly to the rob by clicking:
http://www.htcamerica.net/support/d...R_WWE_2.15.502.3_6275_1.40.30.00_108_Ship.exe
This should leave you at the latest and greatest of the WM5 packages from Cingular/ATT, and all should be well. And . . . if it hozes . . . which it should not, you should have no warrantee issues since you were trying to flash the upgrade that THEY were providing you. :-D

ROMs from Dopod HK or Singapore are very old ones. The SPL is 1.04. You may not be able to flash backward if you are with HardSPL v7. Also if your radio ROM is newer than 1.27, you may face problem when you flash the original (as it is packed with an old radio rom).
(Please correct me if I am wrong.)
To play safe, follow mrvanx' guide:

After some readings and I have managed to used dutty's tool to recompiled the Dopod's WM5 English rom from the original Dopod shipped rom.
This rom has OS + Extended Rom ONLY.
No IPL, No SPL, No Radio.
I have tested and it works on my Hermes, and Bootloader and Radio stay as is. Please note your result may vary.
Here's the download link
http://rapidshare.com/files/29500131/WM5_Dopod_1.30.707.4__Huchison_3_AU__OS_ExtRom_only.7z
To play safe, I would suggest you to do the following prior flashing the OS rom.
1. Flash boot loader to Hard-SPL-V7
2. Flash your radio rom to 1.38. or 1.40

Excalibur Update SPL (USPL) 1.11

Hi guys,
I've just implemented an Excalibur USPL which allows you to flash any Excalibur ROM updates, i.e. you can flash any *official* ROM even if your phone's model and vendor ID doesn't match. It's confirmed that you can also flash cooked ROMs
This SPL is based on original Excalibur 1.11 SPL but includes 3 patches:
1) g_cKeyCardSecurityLevel = 0 (set 32)
2) Does not check Model & Vendor ID
3) Does not check signature*
(*) code must be formally signed i.e. contain properly-formatted signatures on the right places, however no checking is performed against them.
This means you can flash ANY ROM to your Excalibur after running USPL on it, no need to pay for CID unlock anymore!
The USPL will *not* help you to SIM unlock your device. You still have to pay for that.
The USPL runs in RAM and is *not* flashed to your device, so there is no risk there. Once it runs you can run any official Excalibur ROM update utility.
The USPL does *not* permanently CID unlock your phone, like the CID unlocker from imei-check or so.
After you flashed a ROM your phone is again CID locked. Each time you wonna flash a ROM with a different model and/or vendor ID (different from your phone) or a cooked ROM, you must run the USPL again and then flash the ROM.
It's beta and untested and the risk is entirely yours !! Don't blame me if you brick your phone
The main reason for implementing this USPL is to support the poor guys who bricked their wifi. See this thread.
But those who want to flash a device where wifi works don't need to be afraid that wifi fails after the upgrade.
EDIT:
You can now also flash the USPL allowing you to flash any unsigned (cooked ROM or ROM module, e.g. radio or OS) or signed ROM with any model/vendor ID. The USPL substitutes your SPL until you perform a full ROM update. Consider it as an extra insurance in case something goes wrong with flashing cooked ROMs or any other ROM update !
Instructions:
1. Run the USPL (Excalibur USPL- CID BYPASS.zip)
2. Run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe (Excalibur-USPL-RUU.zip)
Have fun,
JockyW
The attachments:
Excalibur USPL- CID BYPASS.zip : instructions included
SDA_ApplicationUnlock.zip : application unlocker if u need it
mtty1.42.zip : terminal emulator (not neccessary if u only do ROM updates)
Excalibur-USPL-RUU.zip: flash version of USPL
Excalibur USPL- CID BYPASS- JumpSPL.zip: version based on pof's JumpSPL instead of haret
SurrealNetworksAppUnlock.cab: alternative application unlocker (use this if SDA_ApplicationUnlock does not work)
Credits: in particular to pof. This USPL and also the one for Vox is based on his USPL for the Elf. See here
Good job jockyw2001 ...
Let's see if the poor guys can turn the wifi back on again.

Phil, to avoid misunderstandings: after running the USPL your device is not permanently CID unlocked !! It is only unlocked when you run it. After you flash a ROM it is CID locked as before. So each time you wonna flash a ROM you must run USPL first.

agreed. thanks a lot for your hard work, i appreciate it.
i'll integrate your CID Bypass in my Windows Mobile 6 guide. i hope it's ok with you - that way people won't have to pay 40 $.
the only beef i have with you is the fact that i wish you had done this 2-3 weeks earlier - that way i wouldn't have had to dish out 40 $ for my cid unlock. haha jokes
You're truly a hero based on the desperate need for a free cid bypass.
Better late then never - Thanks once again for your contribution to the forum..
Well, I haven't got yet my SPV E600 (S620 from Orange), since it's on the mail, but I'd like to thank you for this great tool.
Keep the good work
hey bro, but can we try the flashing-method to unlock our phones?? I have one here, im goin to try now!!
Guys,
It's still far too early to celebrate a triumph...
The only one in this thread who tested was phlipse and I'm not so sure if he actually flashed a ROM. And in the other thread there are two guys who also report results which are not correct.
At least it is unlikely that you can damage your device with running the USPL.

If you mean SIM unlock your phone, then no it won't help you with that.
i'm going to give it a try as soon as the ROM finishes downloading. i'll update the post with my results. i have a tmo wm6 rom on there now and my phone is cid locked. at least im assuming so since i get the invalid vendor id when i tried to install the generic rom last time.
EDIT:
So far so good! Looks like I am up and running on the generic ROM. Thanks Jocky!!!
I just got confirmed in the other thread that the USPL works fine for flashing *any* official Excalibur ROM. It's not yet sufficiently patched to flash cooked ROMs.
Excuse my ignorance but I want to know if this procedure serves to me and as I execute it, I I have one htc s621 with WM5 ESP and actualize with
HTC_S620_SPA_1.27.412.1_ 4.1.13.44 _02.94.90_Ship after doing it I fail wifi, this that they indicate now will recover wifi.

If you want I can produce a flashable version of my USPL. You will then not have issues with security level, vendor/model and signature checking. You can rename arte diag to excadiag and h*ck away

Is this different from the excalibur USPL you already made? I have tested it and it works great (Flashed HTC WM6 WWE Rom, SD Flashed TMO WM5 Rom, and back to TMO WM6 Rom without a hitch). Would this pose a risk flashing artemis utility to excalibur device (such as the VOX USPL that some used on Excaliburs and are having issues with)?

It's the same USPL minus a patch which will automatically load it in bootloader mode (RUU). So it behaves like a normal SPL 1.11 except it doesn't check signatures and model/vendor id and the security level is 0.
I don't think the diag util will cause great danger. It's basically a front-end to the diagnostics which reside in SPL. However, I may be wrong and of course do not accept any responsibility for trouble with your device. If it is present on your memstick and if you enter bootloader mode it will be automatically executed. With an original SPL it will not be loaded, but with the USPL it is very well possible that it is found and executed

Have you come up with the CID unlock for the Dopod C730(HTC Cavalier)? I have a Dopod C730 and for some reason the WIFI seemed to be disabled and can't be turned on at all. I want to put the WWE ROM to see if it's the ROM or the hardware that's crippling the WIFI, but the WWE RUU gives me the wrong vendor error.
The RUU can be found here: ftp://xda:[email protected]/Uploads/Smartphone/Cavalier/

I will gladly donate for your troubles and I hope you can come up with the solution soon enough.
