Known bugs:
Button 5 (Press & hold) not functional: Install SJ Sleuth_PTTFix.cab to fix this. Since Button 5 can't launch the Record feature, I've assigned Record to Button 1 and Messaging to Button 5. Goto Settings - Personal - Buttons to customize Button 5 settings. You might need to power off your device to make the changes stick. (Credit goes to: Sleuth. Thanks to fun_key for posting the modified PTTFix.dll. )

1. Schaps Adv Config doesnt work. HTCustom says theres in error when u save settings, but just SR and it all taked effect.
2. How do i get rid of the lines in the messages screen? Kinda annoying. I think they went away when i changed the theme.

I can confirm this doesnt work. Nothing can be mapped to the button (tried both Sleuth255's and vp3G's fix). You CAN however map it to a softkey.

Button 5.
Make sure that you have an icon in the Windows/Start Menu/Programs.
I found that if I copy an icon from the Windows directory to that folder it works. But not with this Rom yet.

did you use bepes patched 3.60 base rom?
Anyway, good taste in design, really slim!
I didn't flash it, as I prefer a german ROM, but I like it much.
Suggestion for second version:
1. Make 4MB PP version to get more Programs RAM,
2. Throw Schaps Adv Config out, as it seems not to work
one could install a functional ACT 1.0 as cab afterwards
(suggesting that ACT is cooked in, though)
3. Throw HTC Task Manager out, as everyone could install
any version as cab also
4. Throw camera pics out (if you haven't done yet)
5. Throw games out (if you haven't done yet)
6. Add Bennec83s nicer 3G icon + Battery icons
So you could save even some more memory and make a
megaclean superstorage big program ram version

If you install Schaps 10 button Com Manager the Adv Config will work (no surprise). Is there a particular to advantage to the 10 button Com Manager that's in the ROM now compared to Schaps?

First off great job! Just out of curiousity, how did you know which files to remove, when you dumped the ROM?

is this strickly a 3.62 base?

1. I think everyone can easily change the pagepool size with pagepool changer.

As stated at first post, this rom is based on 3.62 + Bepe's bigstorage (used XIP from 3.60), no luck with direct patch.

Thanks for the info! Actually I've already tried keybddr.dll from other rom (like v3.60), it makes button 5 works normaly but somehow it screw beam/bluetooth function.

Which vers of Arcsoft is in the ROM? 4.2 or 3.5...

no! it is fixed

if i knew how to cook a rom myself, and had the time, i would have done a rom EXACTLY like this - removing those "tools", media files and setting kaiser style comm mgr and dialpad as standard.
even the "keyboard mapping while in a call"-bug is fixed in your rom!
that is where most of the roms have their problems with.
very good job!
i think my looooong search for the perfect rom is over now...

just in case you continue your work: please keep in bubblebreaker, as i love that game and i have read it here a couple of times that there is no cab available.

And to the XDA community, where we get so much from, that wouldn't be available to us otherwise.
This ROM is UC (User Customization) compliant. It means that you can install your cabs all at once after first boot. For this you only must have 2 things:
SDConfig.txt(with the path for cabs and xml you want to install) in Storage Card root;
Folder with the files included in the SDConfig.txt
To know more about this awesome feature, check this. Even if you're not a UC addicted you'll find this feature very useful in restoring your Owner Information, Device Name, E-mail and WIFI settings, and many more using xml files. You'll find more instructions in the above thread, on how to retrieve those informations directly from your ROMs registry.
For users that don't like threaded messages / turn on SMS notifications (turned on by default in my ROM), go here (Thanks to iamwhoiam), or here.
Now about Beam:
In WM6.1 the beam function works a bit different than in WM6, since Micro$oft decided to add another registry entry to control this function.
So we used to be able to enable/disable the beam function just by going to the Comm Manager or in the Settings. And what would this action do? It would disable the ability for the device to receive files (by BT or IR), and the function enable/disable would be simultaneously changed in Settings->Beam and in Comm Manager.
Well, in WM6.1 the beam function was divided in 2 parts:
being the Obex service which enables files transfer and is controlled by Setting->Beam
being the switch that allows your device to receive files which is controlled by Comm Manager->Beam
And what does this all mean? It means that if one of these 2 parts of the function is Disabled, you'll not be able to receive files. On the other hand, even if both parts of the functions are in deed disabled, you'll still be able to send files. However, I recommend that the obex service is always Enabled(best for file transfers), meaning that in Settings->Beam, the box "receive all incoming beams" must always be checked, and you can Enable/Disable receiving files by changing the Beam setting in Comm Manager. This is my understanding of how it currently works, according to what I've read about so far. I may not be 100% correct, and feel free to correct me if I’m not, but one thing is for sure, to be able to receive files, you need both parts of the function enabled.

To have the network names display correctly download "FInixNOver Enable correct Network Names.cab" - thanks to tnyynt
For those of you that don't like the battery icon, but also don't want to have the time or date display on the title bar, you can have another icon. An analog clock. Download "FInixNOver Title Bar Analog Clock Tweak.cab". Don't forget to soft reset afterwards.

i have tried your rom, but if i had a storage card insert it isnt able do boot after the flashtime, it will hang on on the welcomehead picture.

1- So far after instaled only SPB Shell 2 and mortscript, I can say it's the fastest rom tried. Look like you overclocked my trinity CPU

this is NOT warez... i didn't post any serials or keygens ---> so if you want to use it for more than 14 days you have to buy it!!!
also you can download the same thing from the official site.

To bad, no word about fixing rotate lag... On my TouchPro it takes almost 4 sec, to rotate screen after keyboard slide out..

Still have the ugly topbar so it looks really s***

SPB Mobile Shell 3 is pretty awesome.
The ONLY downsides I found with it were:
A)- Occasional complete lockups (not 100% sure if it was cooked-ROM related though to be honest) - maybe this new patch will address this.
B)- When reading / composing emails and texts it reverts to the standard windows mobile interface (shame really as I prefer the manilla texts/emails screens) - To be honest anything non-standard would have probably done.
Two issues above are the only things stopping me from buying it and running it forever and ever and ever and ever

PS - Taskbar icons can easily be changed my friend above

I still cannot get facebook to connect. Anyone else have this problem?
Update: Looks like clearing your cookies in IE fixes the issue. Hope that helps anyone with the same problem.

Not just changed. There is the option of running MS3 in full screen, thus disappearing the taskbar completely.

Works fine here.

Work fine, even on old wm 5 device It have some bug, like switching interface with standard wm interface and other things, but in fact it's great tf3d replacement.
And the main question is: How to insert serial number on trial version ?

Have you heard anything of weather or not SPB plans on making a way to utilize/integrate say...SBSH Calendar Touch instead of the ugly winmo calendar and so on???

Is anyone having problems with battery drain? I installed the last release and I have lost 13% in 20 MINUTES!!!!!

when install sob mobile shell and soft reset not show manila on today
only show shell today screen.?

RC1 Build 6501 has been turned into Final 3.0.1 Build 6501 and is now officially available from Spb.

Sorry for my stupid question, do we have to pay the upgrade from 3.0.0 to 3.0.1?
Because there is an upgrade from 2.x.x to 3.0.1 for 14.97$ on sbp site but nothing is said about the 3.0.0...

[ROM][13/06/09]l3v5y Diamond "Tachi" 1306_10 [21051/21051]

Built of the latest (2.07) OEM ROM, with a choice of XIP/SYS versions. Everything else remains the same between the XIP/SYS versions.
I've updated my versioning methods to hopefully make it easier to follow... So now its Day/Month_Dailybuild (e.g. 1306_10 is June 13, build 10).
It may not be fully functional, since it uses the new Tachi manila, and new ports etc... Give it a shot, and see what happens

The only thing I changed between my tests and the release is the OpenVG drivers...
I'll remove them and give it another shot...

The old one (V3.0) didn't have Tachi manila.
I updated the first post with the new ROM.

Just flashed 6.5 and set it up as per my liking.
But still, downloading, will flash and report..

alright, been using it for sometime now, got to say its pretty responsive and fast RAM usage isn't bad either.
there are couple of things not working well-
1. Call History
-Manilla slider doesn't go away. Call history tabs (missed calls, received...etc) are not visible.
2. Dialer
-Talk button not working
-History, again has the same issue, cant see the tabs.
-Incall volume shifts back to maximum every time i try to change it.
3. Contact Manager
- New Contact: Save Button missing when adding data
4. People Tab
- No button agnst fav (call/msg..etc).
5. Album
- Something seems wrong with the rotation. Controls are in landscape all the time.
6. Internet Tab
- Opera starts, tries to load and then exists without warning.
- Youtube error: cannot be opened.
7. Audio tab
- Audio manager missing
Settings tab
8. Sound:
- Crashed manilla, might be something to do with the audio manager.
9. Comm Manager
-Wifi:
Turned ON wifi and mobile hung completely. Restarted several times but of no avail. Performed hard reset to get it back to work
- After hard reset, couldn't get WIFI to turn ON. Some how it started and couldn't turn it off. The button shows OFF all the time.
Confusing..
-Bluetooth:
Alert: Can't turn on Bluetooth
-Phone settings has different highlight colour (not a big deal)
10. Network Preference (now this is something new)
- Error: SetPerMode.exe cannot be opened.
Programs Error:
- One note: Cannot open
- Youtube: not a valid ppc app.
......Thats all for now. I feel most of the errors are dependencies issues.
Still can't get over its speed and responsiveness
By the way, is the alphabetic bar in contacts, cities not preset in tachi?
and no stocks & calendar tab?

That's to do with the Tachi phone canvas port... I'll have a look at it now...

Very odd... AudioManager_eng.exe is in the ROM, my guess is it may be a corrupt file or have some dependencies...

My guess is that's an issue with the Rhodium Comm Manager. I'll swap it out for a different build and see what happens.

That's from the Tachi, and I think it lets you select whether to use CDMA or GSM... I'll remove it since it serves no purpose.

Backup your previous android files if you have any.
Unzip the archive package sense heroxxxx.rar on the root of your sdcard.
Garb the latest zImage and add it to the root of sdcard.
If you use an other phone (RAPHAEL/TOPAZ/RHODIUM) change the startup.txt with one already working on eclair
Run Haret
First boot takes about 10 min to boot so be patient
the OS will be smooth after that

I have the espresso build linked on my thread and reading so far its exactly the same as the original
Just dont want to waste xda precious bandwidth and space
But if this is then made to focus on raph/diam then awesome

It's a thread for VGA devices, since the Sense and so on doesn't work on 240DPI by some unknown reason, so this is a 240DPI support thread

I'd rather just read the original thread and get all the updates and comments straight from the source.
However, discussing raph/diam issues without poluting the original thread has its uses

With the latest setup I do not have WIFI/keyboard backlight. Anyone else have them working/not working?

But changing the backlight should work, It's in "Settings->Sound And Display->Screen brightness/backlight" then uncheck auto adjust backlight

Yea.. This is the problem I'm mentioning with the Sense UI..
Though there should be a better keyboard in the AndroidApps folder

Really like this build, but still have some issues:
1. Backlight keeps dimming, even after disabling Auto in settings.
2. Unable to use market place or sync with Google Contacts.
3. Some screens do not layout correctly (night clock/clock/ and on screen keyboard)
4. On screen keyboard apears sluggish at times, but physical keyboard works good

That Market and Google contacts issue is beeing worked on
And that not layout correctly is because the HTC apps and Widgets are lower resolution (We're looking for a solution on getting the High resolution apps working )

Thanks for the update. You guys are doing great work.

exchange feature set was increased from eclair.. i like! i also concur the issues with the lowres..
seems there is a latency issue from boot to working data connection. i think i waited about 5 minutes before it was able to establish one. this existed on eclair as well.
on a side note i need to get myself a raphael for dev, and then dig in to getting the kernel to work with all features supported.. been a while since i have done some kernel development, but definitely worth the cause.
anyone know where to get a cheap gsm raphael?

Well, we have tried to use the widgets from the Desire, but that makes Android unbootable
