Hi and welcome to my ROM thread. This is RC2 (release candidate 2) of my Snap based ROM for the Excalibur (Dash, Dopod, etc).
The XIP (kernel) and SYS (main system files) are directly ported from HTC newest handset, the Snap.
This ROM includes only the stock applications for now (with the exception of a few things, like omapclockset and celetask) as it's meant to be a community based ROM where we can ALL work together, chip in and make suggestions to make the fastest and best ROM for the Excalibur.
To activate the weather panel, use the Activate Weather.cab in the "\My documents" folder on the phone and reboot.
The pagepool is set at 8 megs (up from the stock 4) for better speed and general "snappiness". You can lower it yourself by using the pagepool_changer application on the ROM's nbh file. I like mine at 8 and could care less about available RAM as long as the phone is fast and responsive
I will add more as more feedback is provided, but for now let's test this first release and see how it performs I hope you like it.

INSTRUCTIONS for flashing:
You can look at this great guide found here or you can follow my instructions below...
Hell, look at both to make sure you're doing this right!!
1. Run Auto.bat included in the archive. It should resent a black command prompt window.
2. Make sure you remove your storage card from the phone before the next steps.
3 .Follow the instructions in the black window. Do NOT reboot when the SDA unlocker tells you to reboot the phone. It's not necessary.
4. You might get a prompt asking you if you want to run the spl program. Just say yes. At that point you should get a white screen.
5. If for any reason you're not seeing a white screen, you did something wrong and you need to try again.
6. Flash the ROM following the instructions in the flashing utility.
You can expect the phone to be "stuck" on the green windows mobile screen for about 2 1/2 minutes the first time. After that, it should only take about 40-45 seconds for the phone to reboot.
INSTRUCTIONS for recovery in case something goes wrong:
Turn your phone completely off. While pushing the camera button, plug in your usb cable. The tricolor, bootloader screen will come up and you can flash your regular OEM ROM which can be downloaded from one of the stickies.
I recommend flashing the modified bootloader made by jockeyw2001. It's attached to the third post.
What it does is, it CID unlocks your phone, so you don't have to use the softSPL everytime you want to flash a ROM. It also makes recovery from a bad flash much easier, where you dont have to hunt for your original manufacturer's ROM to load in order to resurect the phone.

I recommend flashing the hacked bootloader attached to this post to make future flashings easier, as there will probably be many revisions to this ROM (depending on YOUR input).

I've been using your ROM's for a while, this looks fine, a couple of issues,
1- No bluetooth
2- Wifi doesn't work, wifiinit is on the startup but once you try to activate it hangs in there
This if you use the connection manager on the panel if you go to the start menu and use the connection manager it works fine both of them

Frozen when Menu>Contacts>Add contact, after remove battery works fine.
After change HTC Panel to Sliding panel and restart, change back to HTC Panel in 5 min...

This is by far the most asthetically pleasing rom i have used yet. i have to use my phone for business so have already flashed back for now but i cant wait for the final realease ha. as for bugs the only ones i found were that streaming media had no visual when playing and i could not get a data conection when trying to use opera mini but ie worked fine.Oh and also i could not use the NRG rinku cab either just fyi.

I can replicate that.I can turn both bt and wifi on/off with both comm managers no problem. Although I don't recommend using the built in ugly, microsoft one. Use the HTC one on the Start menu

Yeah, there's no band select because this isn't a 3G phone, so there's no bands to select really. I will remove that option in the next version
Flashing now. I'll report with any issues that I find. Looks great though.
Since you're taking input... is there any chance you could include BaseHue, Resco Explorer and the SMSToolPack? The first two I use extensively, and the SMSToolPack would just be a "nice to have" since we all love flashing ROMs so much.
Also, does the HTC Sliding Panel homescreen pull the panel icons from bronzeres.dll?
On a sidenote, I actually took a look at your ROMs for the Raphael and was floored. I'm not surprised to see such an aesthetically pleasing ROM find it's way to our phones.

I just went home and flashed my Cava with your rough ROM. First of all, it didn't brick my phone That says, the ROM basically is done, only some issues left to address, and they're as followed:
+ Sounds and Profiles problems as known; Selecting Sounds gives me the "Setting couldn't be opened" but doing the Profiles does allow me to open it; however, I can't either edit any profile or switch among them. The overall system sound is pretty low, may be because of this setting issue.
+ Beam applet inside Connections is able to be opened, but can't be saved when the option's checked, giving the "Settings couldn't be saved".
+ Accessibility applet can't be opened also, giving the error related to accessib.xml, saying that it can't be loaded.
+ Unlike WM6.1 HTC Excalibur I used before, Contacts just doesn't display contacts I've stored on SIM. I also checked the registry key, which is ShowSIM under HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone\ , the value is 1 which's supposed to show SIM contacts as it should, but It doesn't.
+ The OS is not application pre-unlocked, that's not a prob, but maybe the reg key 0000101b under HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies should be pre-changed to 1 to ease the unlock procedure after each HR. You know, to unlock it, PC connection is neccessary to run the tool, so when we're not near one, our apps just boo at us challengingly
+ The Java Manager is probably out of date, I got a new one and it's proven that It's usable with most of java apps I've tried to installe. I couldn't do it with the one that came with the original WM6.0 Cava ROM. Just guess this one is the same, 'cos the version and icon look pretty much identical.
+ After using for a while, when I go to Start menu, out of the blue, the two softkey letters on the bottom bar are just vanished, I can still press them with guess though.
+ The Streaming Media tool seems to be un-usable, 'cos I've tried both WIFI connection and Wired connection (with my PC to the NET, and my Cava to it), but I just can't get it to play any youtube file on m.youtube.com (which it's supposed to be able to handle this).
+ Just my suggestion, but in the official release, maybe you can consider adding those useful tools to the ROM, on my previous WM6.1 Excalibur, they were pre-intergrated and quite useful. I'll attach (some of) them here as well. Here's the list:

Just out of curiosity, why wouldn't you port another newer build of WM, say 19513 or something? 'cos I've seen somewhere in this forum about some new builds for WM-based Smartphones. Maybe those builds are just incompatible with our Cava or something?

-And have to manually add txt messge call center didnt upload from carrier or sim. Tried to manually add it but only gives errors.

I'm having probs with sending SMS, seems message center has not been added as you said. I believe MSN messenger has been replaced by Windows Live in WM6.1, however I don't see it too. I don't use this much so I hardly noticed the absence.

- Set a password, so that you won't be locked out at Titanium lock screen.

Do not complain about HTC Sense Memory Usage. You cannot change anything. Diamond memory is limited for new thing. Disable Sense before using memory intensive programs or use following solutions:

2) Change pagepool size will give you more memory. There will be a trade off for speed and memory.

It is still there. I cannot find where is the problem. Still looking. But it is not a big deal just additional icon.
But, there is new comm manger with wifi router. And a little bit improve for Sense memory usage as compared to R2.0. Some other bug fixes.
You don't have to install this. not much difference just those above.

You meant Touch Flo 2.1 V1.5? If yes I'd be glad to have that 6.5 with Touchflo 2.1 and good memory usage has been the one I was looking for, sadly it's hard to find one

-When i select wallpaper for the first time album thumbnail close, idem when i select image for contact, always works on second time.
-is impossible add favorite to internet bookmark ( solved with htcbookmark cab found on this forum )

Im getting a grayed out wi-fi option and the camera crashes to black screen and can not set animated wallpaper
camera and photo works for me.
Another minor bug, is screen where you choose the connection type on usb plug. (edit works now, i had to check and uncheck option in connection usb to pc menu )
Sun animation is extremly slow, all other manila animation are fast and smooth, but sun is very very slow random artefact

did you wait a little bit before try 2nd time? Usually it takes a while for new wallpaper to show up.

I knew why it crashes to black screen for a moment. It is because of the SDK Sensor Rotate. Go to G-Config then remove rotation support for Camera. Wish I discover this before releasing the ROM.

Yes, i used mtty.
All other weather animation, wind, rain, snow, thunderstorms, and moon animation works really fast. Try on home page press menu and choose "weather Demo". First animation is "sunny" animation, the reflection behind the sun is very very slow.

[highlight]Note: This is a UC Rom. When the zip is decompressed, you will see a folder called XDA-UC that has a bunch of cabs inside. Place that folder (and all of its contents in the root of your Storage Card. Right after the initial boot is done, soft reset the device. When it starts up again, UC will start by itself saying that it will install all the contents in the UC folder. Be patient since it will seem as if the device weren't doing anything. When its done, it will ask you if you want to reset it. The whole installation of cabs takes between 5 and 7 minutes (because of Manila)[/highlight]

*The dialer will randomly have a scrollbar on the side when the keypad is hidden. Nothing major, but will try to get a better dialer soon.

Egzthunder has a pretty easy way to add Manila to the rom on first boot if you want it. Works pretty well on my Vogue, and keeps the rom clean for the purists.
Any changelogs as to what is different in these builds?

I will upload the xda-uc folder once the rom is done.
Can't wait to try out your new rom. I'm leaving for a trip tomorrow so hopefully you can get it uploaded today sometime, so I can install it. If not I'll try to be checking the site thru the week.
Look forward to it. I'd agree on the HTC EZinput keyboard and love to see the HTC Task Manager work in the quick menu. The last one had it installed but, would never appear up top?
Small update:
I have not forgotten about this. In fact, I have already cooked one for 28205 and I am testing it as we speak. Things that I found so far:
*BT icon in the top bar still does not show. It might just be a reg tweak. I will look into it.
*Cannot use Phone Codes for some reason.
*Issue with nueStorage (notification does not show)
*When touching the top bar, the information is displayed (notifications, battery, etc). However, the graphics are kinda messed up. I will try to post a screenshot later.
If I can finish it, I will post it later on.

Weather
For the CDMA weather fix, did you remember to set the weather on the weather tab before applying the patch? Otherwise it'll stop Manila from starting.

I put some more "sounds" but I have not tested them. As far as the Task manager drop down, Manila pretty much blocks it. I do remember that there was a version that does not get covered by Manila. I will look for it and will try to cook it for the next one. Thanks for the feedback on that one (I did not notice it)

SatusROM R2.7a and R2.7b (Dual Releases)
Here you go, after a month of research & development, Here SatusROM R2.7a (Sense 2.5) and SatusROM R2.7b (Sense 2.1). Those ROMs are full features ROM that resembles HTC Official ROM. Users who look for lite ROM or cheesy customization ROM, please use other ROM.
Those who want Sense 2.5 should expect to have high memory consumption, so please don't waste time complaining here. Of course, I try my best to improve memory but it seems impossible. What I can give more is to give you some tips below.
[Requirements]
1. Any HTC Touch Diamond GSM
2. Hard-SPL installed. Flashing ROM without HardSPL will damage and brick your phone.
3. MTTY task 29 to prevent weird problems before flashing the ROM.
[Disclaimers]
1. No support, No Warranty, As Is. I answer questions to help though.
2. I am not responsible for any damage happen to your phone. Use at your own risk.
[Known Issue]
After flashing or soft reset, please allow a moment for the ROM to complete it start up task. Don't jump in and use and blame that the ROM is slow and unresponsive.

9. Fixed HTC Sense Home Tab Clock Flipping. Now, the clock only flips when it lost focus. Changing Tap will not cause the clock to flip.
[Known Issues]
1. Install Google Maps by yourself. It is intentionally left out so you can obtain the latest version
2. Titanium will be default because it consumes significantly less memory. Like Sense 2.5? Enable in Settings -> Today
3. Sense 2.5 easily consumes all memory. Luckily Sense 2.5 consists of many modules. Therefore, you can have a good experience with sense 2.5 by disabling unused or uninterested tabs.
The top candidate Tabs to be disbaled are:
Music, Picture, Twitter, and Internet Tabs.
After disable some tabs. Do Clean RAM level 3 or Soft Reset.
For example: Disable Twitter, Internet, and Music will reduce memory consumption. It will stay around 70 - 80%. The highest peak is around 91% which is around 10MB to do other tasks.
4. HTC Message:
a) When writing a new message, you can add as many recipients as you like at the To: Field. Just press that field, then type in the person name, then choose him or her. Repeat again for another recipient until done. The Menu -> Add Recipient is not working right now due to limitation in the ported version. But that is the solution.
5. MMS Server Settings:
Because Connection Setup 3.1 ported is not working well and in big size. Therefore, it cannot be used to cook this rom. To use MMS with HTC Message, you have to manually copied MMS Server Settings to HTC Message.
1st Step: Go to inbox of an email account, press Menu button, scroll up then choose MMS Option, Then choose Servers Tab, Click on the MMS Name in the box to show the settings, copy everything to a piece of paper.
2nd Step: Now open HTC Message, Menu -> Settings -> Options -> Press Menu Button Again -> MMS Server -> Press on [+] to add a new MMS Server Settings -> Type in all info copied earlier -> Press Done -> Now Set your new MMS Server as default.

No, wait for Windows Phone 7 and buy a new one. I hope M$ won't restrict the phone as Apple does. Rumor said, all apps need to be install via Zune Software App Store and no multitasking like iPhone. Hope M$ won't be stupid to follow that footstep.

I used this sense 2.1, but It drains my device's memory (i mean storage) soo bad, since I cant delete manilla 2.0 in an easy way and I didnt feel like going to make a whole other flash from you great Manilla Satus Rom

The GPS works or not depends on the Radio version you use. I tested the GPS on my phone with original radio. It works fine.

How to flash my custom ROM's to b7350?
FLASHING INSTRUCTIONS OF CUSTOM ROMS FOR B7350 V.1
Must have before flashing:
1. You will need only THIS flasher program. (Notice that flasher is patched against cheksum and other samsung protection and do not try to flash PHONE or BOOT files via this loader to avoid unexpected problems).
2. Also this PHONE bin part or another from this device (to enable other fields in flasher)
3. Only this dummy CSC part.
4. Any Langpack.lp0 (if you dont have here is one)
4. PDA image file of custom firmware(post 1)
How to flash:
For first time open loader and choise Model: "Orsay" in "PHONE" section -> choise phone part.bin
1. Choise in "PDA" section custom ROm(nb0). "CSC" field -Dummy CSC. "LangPAck" field -Langpack file lp0.
2. In "download mode" tick on only "PDA", "CSC", "Langpack" (Important "Boot", "Phone boot", "Phone" and other must keep unticked!!!)
4. Switch off device and disconnect from PC. Hold "Volume down"+"Lock"+"Power on" buttons till Downloading mode will appear. Now connect to PC.
If device is connected youl see green bar in flasher.
3. Press Start. Downloader asks you to reformat partitions- press Yes.
After updating phone reboots and shows error during lang customisation -its ok! When screen goes off- reinsert battery and power phone up again.

yes its far quicklier/ classic windows GUI with Start on top!
Any chances to preserve Samsung Home in a future ROM version? I kind of like it, I can put all my shortcuts there.
you can use wm titanium - its quicklier, smoother and has wonderful tool HSC (Home screen cutomizer 1.51)incl in this rom that includes shortcuts, weather and other usefull plugins for titanium. Samsung home is a garbage circa 5-6 mb of file space and memory.

NOTHING!!!!Boot image is bootloader image. Dont touch it, instead you are flashing official rom with non cracked flasher
Choise only "pda" csc" and "lang" images also tick on "pda.csc.lang" rest remain unticked.
If pda/csc/lang is corrupt during flashing or some other reason, you can always reflash. If you corrupt with PHONE/Boot downloading -will be just a bricked device after.
Sorry for the noob question, but at first, I didn't have the "start" button active. After i reconnected the phone it worked. Thanks.

Im trying to patch flasher to avoid flashing of other sections by assident
Russian version is already 4 days old. There is nothing dangerous in those roms. Friend is running english version for 2 days so far no problems.
Personally, me was using this device only for rom cooking. I dont own omnia 4, i still have old best i780!
BTW from i780 and "brothers" i took some useful software that is applied to new rom.

Im not sure if its normally in wm 651, but if it doesnt appear after softreset than its so. Im using wm 653 on i780 now.
Running the rom for a few hours. So far, it works perfect, it seems a little faster than with the stock rom. I use SPB Mobile Shell and this is a little faster too. I like the fact that I can configure windows button (long press action) and also that I can get rid of auto correct features (that work only on english anyway).
The problem with EBoot was my fault, I just couldn't click on "Start" with no eboot image loaded, but after I restarted the phone everything worked as it should.
All in all, great first rom for our Omnia 4 phone, Heineken, keep up the good work

Have you discovered any serious bugs?
Heineken, no serious bugs so far but I noticed that when I answer a call it takes around a second between the time I press the Answer button and the moment I hear the caller. I don't know if this is because of the ROM or this is just the way this phone behaves. But, I didn't noticed that earlier. Also, after I restart the phone, I receive a message "The file InitHomeDown cannot be opened". It's not a real problem, because after I close this window, everything works as it should.
I'm still happy with this rom, as I said no major problems so far.
