Is anyone able to help me or point me in the right direction to get plants vs zomies working on my HTC.
Its a standalone .exe file, 30mb in total...there must be a way!

i suggest you guys take it to the developers although, tbh, i doubt they would make a game for wm6.x
maybe wp7 will get a version of the game.
there is a flash version on their site, cant someone download it and port it, becouse i cant even download it
i've seen the flash version, its only a demo - but still fun.
ill give this a go myself and see how i get on ... but remember it isnt the full version unfortunatly.
had a go at getting the .swf but no luck. used firefox and the only flash animations you can download (that work) are the banner ads. if you download what i think is the game itself, its just a white box.
would be nice to have this game...

This forum has a post about it, with a link to installation instructions. I don't have time to hassle with it now, but looks like you need a few libs installed and thats it. If anyone wants to try gof or it! Seems like all we would need is a CAB to install dependencies, and that youtube vid was a year ago, I am sure there is a way now.
Baldur's Gate would be the best and looks like the entire focus of the development. Problem would be that it would be VGA only. I don't see this working on a qvga screen. The original game was 480x640 with BG2 being able to play at VGA or higher.
well, i searched for a version of gemrb for ppc but found nothing on google... if any of the developers could create one it would be great! i really want to play baldurs gate on my hermes!

The last (and only) time I tried to port a python game to Windows Mobile, I was stuck at getting pygame to run. This seems to have less dependencies so might be easier.
I love the 2D series of RPGs but GemRB is nowhere near complete yet.
Well am not a programming guru but you Guys keep saying that its easy to port thats Good but can you tell us if your porting right now and we should wait for it to get completed or no body started yet I really wish I can help but again am not a programer al leave this to the pros

The games? You have to buy and prepare them for GemRB yourself. There was some discussion of fanmade games for GemRB but it is a lot of work.
Porting such a program is not a trivial task and is impossible for a non programmer.

This hasn't been done as it would take too long. List in wiki at present tells you which apps/games work. Its up to you to find out what they are.
Wiki is available for everyone to amend. If this means so much to you why not amend wiki yourself and create this improved list with descriptions of games etc
I agree that Apple help their customers better and provide information I would think was basic. Hopefully HTC will learn and hopefully improve

well thats a good response from everyone, thankyou very much, ive never ammended wiki or posted on wiki before so ill give it a go and see what i can come up with.
ive now found a fiar few games, what about all the types of games that come on the iphone? like ifishing and the likes. there aqre a lot that use the gyrator type style to play the game. most of the games and apps ive found are real buggy and crash or arnt full screen. it seems that the iphone has better games and easier usage but the htc has more in it as its a windows device. it just seems really hard to get things to work!
just post the games, there are many developers that can fix the bugs andmake them HTC HD READY !

These are the games i have so far that work full screen 15 puzzle, all-in hold em by birdsoft, boom blox, monopoly here and now, pocketgrandmaster 4, resco bubbles, tiger woods 09 by EA sports, need for speed undercover with gsen support and touch support and xtrakt
see i like the games like resco bubbles and teeter
bubble breaker is good to still need to find a good holdem game.
This game is so fun to play on when your bored, it can keep you entertained for hours

There is a really well made Iphone version which my friend is always on, so I thought Id try and fine one for winmo devices, but I failed
Theres is an old version someone made, but its for VGA screen and so is not supported for me, + the project has been discontinued so no hope in the future.

So I thought, Im sure one of our many skilled developers here could work something up, so here I am, asking you what you think I would like to help to but I dont (yet) know the first thing about programming, sorry, however I could try and support other ways if at all possible
( It was suggested somewhere to install flashplayer lite and run a .swf of the game, I tried that but it is quite unresponsive to the touchscreen and messy)

Android does not support J2ME. So all those dumbphones jar files are useless as they will not run on Android.

Hi, In this tutorial i teach you how to get the famous Angry birds up and running on your device
1.First Download both attachments ontop of my signature
1a. If you have WinRAR all you need to do is right click the Angry birds setup and click Extract Here
2. Copy both Angry birds setup and Jblend Setup
3. Go to Start>File Explorer (wm6.1)
Go Start>Accessorizes>File Explorer (wm6.5+)
5. Navigate to the JBlend Setup and Run the installation cab Follow all the instructions
4. Go to start and run JBlend
5. Click Install and it should bring up the Angry-birds Setup file then load that file follow the onscreen instruction and install angry birds
6. load Angry-birds. you will get a white screen for about 1 minute
7. Play

If you have a HD2, try the V2 JAR jar. this file will not work on the BA as it has very good graphics... trust me i tried and it looked scary

UPDATE V3: for BA this time. Fixed some weird Screen issues, Fixed uncaught exceptions as far as i know... this one is modified so i branded it with Zainuintel and XDA developers... tnx

I installed JBlend in the device and I have placed the AngryBirds Setup.jar both in the storage card as well as in the device. None of them work. Here is the exception I am getting:
java.lang.IllegalStateException: cannot set media time in such a state
Is this thing looking at my phone status? Cause this is really the only thing I can think of tbh.

is not the original angry birds for android but is funny lol
I got this to run on my HTC HD2 in full screen. its a fun game to play. I am glad this was ported for the Java Platform. Another reason Windows Mobile still has life left. I have been playing it and I hope there will be an updated version in the future with updates levels and that it takes full advantage of the hardware for a device like the HD2.

it's not really "angry birds", it's named as "angry birds adventure" but still great game which has 45 lvls.. finishes so fast n we want more..
