MMS in touch flo - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

I did a search in the Rhodium forum but couldn't find anything.
When getting pic messages and other MMS I get the notification and then I go to my text message tab. then it takes me to the usual FWDFWDFWD. Then I have to click on the attached message indicator. This then brings me to the threaded standard Winmo then I can finally click on the mms. Is this an issue with anyone else or am I just being a HUGE newb as indicated by the number of posts.
I thought I was always pretty good at searching that is why I have such few posts. Any help or direction would be appreciated.

yea i have the same issue with mms i send or recieve.

Seems like that's pretty standard with TouchFLO & MMS cuz it's the same as mine.

Still nothing
Is this an issue everyone is having or is there a fix to it?

Any answers?

Softbank MMS settings, please.

What do I have to do to get MMS to work on the Softbank (network)? I used the info I found Here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=276643&page=1
But, that is for the TyTN I think, so I can't seem to get the MMS right. I got the internet to finally work, but MMS always gives an error...if someone can help I would appreciate it, TIA.
Oh yeah, and the same goes for normal Text massages as well, I cant seem to get those to send out either, please help, thanks.

Text/sms counter issue

I have the read others thread about the touchflo counter being off but my problem a a bit different. Along with that issue the touchflo counter, the counter within the text app itself is not resetting. In the past with my wing if I replied to someone the new text notifcation goes away but not with my tmobile tp2. Instead it registers their messages & my replies as unread. If I exit out of the app & go back to our "conversation" it doesnt take to the newest one from me/them but to the older part of the convo.
Edit: Only work possible work around seems to be going unthreaded or a text app such as etreme text. I havent found any real aternative text app. Ive tried different version of the arcsoft txt cabs but same results which leads to to believe its a winmo issue.
go to the conversation that shows unread messages & then scroll through all the texts with the arrows on the keyboard. look for the bolded messages, they are the unread ones. once you select them with the arrow keys they'll register as read.
i hate this issue too. if you have the damn threaded message open & are replying the the messages, it should just mark them as read.
god I hate this so much!!! I keep all my texts... often they contain information I need. But like this its pretty inconvenient. There's got to be some kind of reg mod to fix this thing...

Threaded texts in thouch flow?

Maybe I am just stupid but I cant find a way to put the text msgs in the thouch flow software in threaded mode. It seems kind of retarted that it would not come defaulted this way but who knows.
I have a sprint TP2 running wm6.1 stock rom if this makes a difference.
No one has this problem, does touch flo even do threaded texts?
Anyone?
If I am not mistaken, I believe I have the same ridiculous problem. Is what you are trying to say is when you click on your SMS from TouchFlo, it goes into HTC's messing program, correct? From there, all the messages you received are on top while the messages you sent are on the bottom? If that is your problem, those are all your old messages you transferred from the old phone.
Any new messages you get, will be threaded from onwards. If that is your problem is well, I am also trying hard to find a solution to fix that.
kind of
I want it set up so on the messaging tab it just shows the name and then when you click on the name it shows the conversation.
How its setup now its like WM 5 and not the threaded style in WM 6 and 6.1. Actually 6 was the same way i think....I cant remember.
Anyway if you cant do this now they better put it in the new touch flo for 6.5 or i am going to be pissed its not hard to do the programming for it.
Anyone?
you cant tell me no one else wants threaded mode in touch flo?
If any one has there sprint or any TP2 for that matter in threaded text mode pls let me know.
Can someone atleast respond with a yes or no you can or cannot do this?
I have threaded messages in Touch Flo on my Tilt2.
Can you turn it off? or did it come defaulted that way?
For me it's only threaded once I click the message. It's not actually threaded on the Touch FLO today screen plugin, would love if it was though

Yea thats what I am saying if you want to go to the next coversation you need to go thought the whole current conversaton just to get to the next one. After you click on a text it then opens the threaded msg.
The main screen only shows the last 25 messages you got, in order. Pressing the message then takes you to the threaded conversation with that person.
How would it even work another other way? How would you see different conversations?
if you click on a contact in touchflo you can go to the messaging tab and it will ptu you into the last conversation you had with that person via text. the messaging tab is more so for quick viewing of the most recent messages.
yea there is no way to change it?
Can any one provide a sold answer here?
Can this be done I dont want to see the latest msg in touch flo I was to see the names in a list. The person I got a msg from last should be the name at the top.

[Q] Cyanogen CM6 SMS only converting to MMS after 3x160 characters, not splitting

Hello,
Running Cyanogen CM6 RC1 here. I've been having trouble sending long text messages, which I initially diagnosed as a problem sending MMS.Specifically whenever I tried to send a long text message (longer than 160 chars) it would just hang and say "sending" for like 5 minutes before I get a failure report. Curiously, I had no trouble sending or receiving messages with multimedia content, like images.
After some additional tinkering and web searching, I discovered that MMS was working fine. Rather, my phone is trying to send text messages between 161 and 480 characters as SMS without breaking them apart into the appropriate number of parcels. Above 460, or 3x160, the phone is converting them to MMS and it goes through just fine.
Is there a way to change the threshold before which SMS are converted to MMS? I think all the EVO owners are pretty much on the same plan which gives us unlimited media messaging, therefore there is no point in not sending any SMS over 160 chars as an MMS. Is there a way we could change the threshold to 1? I imagine this is what HTC did in their messenger that was installed with Sense.
*Temporary solution:* If anyone else out there is having this problem, but doesn't have a solution, I have a temporary one. Simply download and use the free Handcent SMS application, and in the settings (settings>send message settings>Split 160) change the value from "Don't split" to "Simple Split". This will automatically break up messages between 161-460 into 2-3 parcels of 160 chars or less.
Handcent i think has those setting parameters.
also, this is a known issue already, and has already been greatly discussed.

Sorry, I was typing an edit as you made the mention about handcent. However, I haven't found the setting that allows you to change the threshold--only to make the message split. Also, it will allow to turn off conversion altogether. Am I not seeing it?
Also, perhaps I'm not so savvy here, but I've been unable to find any solutions on forums or anywhere. If this issue is already very well discussed, any chance you provide me with a link please?
I have this same problem which is VERY annoying! Like you said I have not seen it discussed before either!
It's not a CM6 issue.
It's an Android issue.

So it would appear then that there is no solution to this?
yeah, there is a solution. use handcent. chomp probably does it too.
btw, you may want to post your questions in the 'questions' section

Ah, next time I'll use the questions section. Regarding Handcent, does this actually allow me set the threshold, or just break up longer messages into multiple SMS--I mean, does Handcent present another solution other than the one I specified in my initial post?
AFAIK, SMS length is an agreed upon standard that probably in the near future won't be changed. longer messages will be broken up into transmissable lengths of 160 chars, until a message is long enough that it is actually simpler on the network to send the whole thing as a single MMS loaf.

[Q] MMS Problem: Message not found

I've searched around and have yet to find a solution to this problem so far.
I have a Tilt 2 on AT&T, running Sense. I have disabled the HTC Messaging program and gone back to tmail.exe. I also have Arcsoft installed for the MMS functionality. I can send messages just fine, but when I receive MMS messages, I open them and they say "Message not found." Is there anything to fix this?

Hey i have this issue also. did you find the fix?
I would recommend that you install a ROM without HTC Messaging cooked in.
I don't think that there is a completely working solution to disable Messaging and install ArcSoft.
Configure MMSSettings with the HTC Tilt 2
