Installing 3 languages - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

I'm interested in purchasing this phone and would like to know if it is possible to add Hebrew and Russian languages to an English ROM. Is having 3 languages going to be a problem with typing through the qwerty keyboard?
keep in mind that Hebrew is right to left language (if it makes any difference :/ )
I used to own an HTC VOX and remember having a bit trouble with it. but then again, it was older OS.
Thanks in advance

xT9 i don't know.
I know. But that's the problem. It's only the danish letters. I don't use the keyboard, but keypad like a normal phone with buttons
So need the XT9

ROM question: how to add a language? (please help)

I've got my HTC Touch pro2 early, by not waiting for Norwegian release date (4 july).
The touchflo is english, and I like it that way.
The keyboard layout does not include norwegain "æøå" letters.
The spellcheck/XT9 lists I already have are: English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
I would like to have "Norwegian"
where are the settings/files i need to add, in order to fix this ?

Might be worth having a look in the blackstone forum for their language packs and just try it on the TouchPro2, should work in theory.
I tried to change my hw keyboard layout and I have been able to have "è" and "ù", no way to have "ì", "ò", "à": keys simply do not work at all...
As far as software keyboard is concerned, I believe that you should change sip.
nicelad_uk : thanks - I assume you mean this post ?

I installed Norwegian language, and it works becuase it's auto-selected, but does not show in the language selection list so after choosing English, I must reinstall it if I want it back.
It's a spellcheck and XT9 list, it does not influence the soft-keyboard layout, or the kayboards special characters list.
ninja.rogue: what do you mean by "change sip" ?

Solution for Norwegianhardware Keyboard on HTC Touch Pro2 is here:

It's best to Get in there early as a Moderation Team.
For now it's best to keep These kind of Using Questions in the General Forum.

HTC could serve customers better

Htc makes only one European ROM at the time. There is four main languages for ex. English, Spanish, French...
In Europe are many other languages. If Htc does not want to make ROM for those languages, it could make T9 dictonary and Windows Virtual Keyboard in any case.
Many people understand English so well, that they do not need entire ROM translated into their language, but they need keyboard and T9 dictonary for writing their mother language.
Now Internet are full of different instruction, how to put T9 in action. Many of those are for the phones, which does not fit to Htc Touch HD.
I hope, that Htc could make language packs for different languages in Europe and serve the customers in this way better.

There are at least 15 languages available for your T9.
HTC serves you pretty well, don't you think?

On www.htc.com/support is only one ROM, and that is WWE. I can not see any other. I found on xda-developers -site one Finnish ROM and downloaded it. There were no Finnish word. Finnish was one of the languages, but I could not see any work with it.
Where are the 15 ROMs?
I had Samsung Omnia for a short time ago, and when Samsung had made Finnish ROM, it was really Finnish. Windows mobile had translated into Finnish. Windows Virtual Keyboard was with ä, å and ö and T9 worked well.
I have had many HTC - phones. Now I have three: Artemis, Iolite and HD.
I am looking forward to have T9 Finnish and Windows Virtual Keyboard with ä, å and ö.
I didn't say there were 15 ROM's availabe, but there are at least that many languages for the T9.
Look for '14 language T9 cab' and you will find an installer to enable extra languages for your T9.

Who has made it? Perhaps not Htc? I have tested that file, but T9 dictionary did not work. T9 remembers only the word, what I have written.

HTC did not make the cab-file, that is true.
But the dictionaries used by T9 are made by Microsoft or HTC.
I had to test several cab-files to before I got Dutch to work.
You'll have to try some more cab-files or search the forum some more.
Good luck.
in "defense" to matti i must say that (dont ask me how, maybe another row of keys?) imho some language-specific characters (eg ä ö for finns/swedes, è à ò ù etc for us italians) should be included in a specific keyboard layout. i dont use t9 as i find more a time waster than anything, but reaching the special characters by longpressing a key waiting x secs sliding to the desired one is just another time waster.

You should install FingerKeyboard then.
It allows you to set the delay before the special characters appears, it supports any layout you want, user-specified text (like smileys and so), ...

[Q] vietnamese language pack for gingerbread keyboard.

Ok!
I've seriously been looking around and couldn't find the right resolution for this.
Everyone should know by now, the new gingerbread ROM comes with the gingerbread keyboard. And the setting of the keyboard let us choose which languages to use/type. I selected EN and VN and obviously I got the swipe the space bar to change language. But I can only get English (EN) so I went out and google all over the forums but all I get is to install more keyboards, more junks onto my phone. So just a quick answer please, does the default gingerbread support Vietnamese typing or not? If yes then lead me.
Kindly.
Me too.
I'm wondering how to type Vietnamese using GingerBread keyboard.
Waiting for solution.
Same problem.

[Q] Multi-Language Gingerbread Keyboard? [Asian Languages]

Hey guys,
So I've looked and looked and looked, and haven't seemed to be able to find a way to install any Asian language pack onto my Gingerbread keyboard. I'm an International Studies major, and I do a lot of Korean, so I'm kinda looking for a way to get that installed... This was perfectly simple BEFORE I rooted, it was just a matter of selecting the correct locale and then swiping the spacebar when I wanted to switch languages. But then I rooted to Syndicate rom and I lost my Samsung keyboard...
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Kangaji
have you tried MultiLing GengerBread Keyboard? you can download language packs for it and switch to which ever pack you download.
But do you know where I can find the language packs? 'Cause I've been looking and the only things I've found so far are Russian, Greek, and Spanish, and I don't really use those languages...
