Anyone have pictures of the graphite model? - Desire General

In the interest of those getting their desire from mobilephonesdirect I thought it would be useful if someone can post a picture of the graphite model so we know what it looks like (the only sell the graphite option)
thanks

here are both colors:
front
back

I spoke to mobilephonesdirect again today and they are saying that what they are classing as Graphite is the one shown on their website.
Which is what everyone else is calling brown.
While on the phone to them they said they had called HTC and they were told that they are NOT getting the silver one. (which is opposite to what they told me last week)
I think that they've just decided to call the brown one graphite to confuse everyone
The guy at customer support told me that if the phone I receive is not the same colour as the one shown on the website that I can return it.
TBH I don't think they even know

I'm the one who took the photos yesterday.
You're right about the color, I also think the color is more black then brown. If you watch it in daylight you can see a brown tint (the photos are taken under quite yellow fluorescent lamps).
By the way, the silver is not as shiny as it looks.

How come this silver color seems to be enigmatic? How come I don't see it at the usual retailers that will be offering the Desire? HTC didn't even make an official mention of it. Is it some kind of exclusive/special edition or what?

I thinks it's exclusive to some retailers, like PDAShop.be, they seem to offer the silver one exclusively.

On your photos, there are definitely docking pins on the bottom of the phones.
Do you know if the final version will have them?
HTC didn't even mention them... and i'm wondering about the different versions...

robertwebbe wrote on flicker that the silver model will be BelCompany exclusive!
Where do i preorder that if i need shipping to germany?

The silver model will only be exclusive for the dutch retail.
I've taken two mores pictures:

About the docking pins; I've got different answers from HTC. One said the will be gone in the final model while another person says they wil stay. We will see.

nooooo i wanted the silver version, let's see if they take it to italy too.

Is graphite different to silver so?
mobilephonesdirect have told me they will be selling graphite sets and that the brown on their website is not the handset i would receive if i preordered.
I assumed by graphite they meant silver - but if robertwebbe is correct and silver is exclusive to another retailer, then graphite may be another colour we haven't seen yet?

There is another version that is clearly black, so calling the brown one black would be confusing, even though it does look more black than brown.

White desire :)

A new color is available for the desire .. white , its simply beautiful , i wonder why htc decided to make the brown color the standard edition , the black and silver editions are awesome too

i have the brown one -,-
wish i knew about the black one before purchase
all i ever saw in shops was the brown one (even on the internet - i have seen a few shots of the black one but i thought it was with some cover or something) so i assumed they only come in brown color :F
white one looks like it shows dirt/sweat after 5sec
The black one is exclusive to Orange in the UK, not sure if its available in other countries or not.
The white looks nice but looks like it'll soon look dirty though

I got a silver one. Absolutely love it. Also because it's more rare. Few people have the Silver version.
Silver one just looks cheap, compared to brown one. The high contrast of the Amoled screen just comes out more prominent on the brown one. I was a bit worried when ordering, but i still think the brown one is the prettiest.

I wonder if anyone else notice this. The aluminum trim around the screen on my brown desire change colour depends on sunlight. Sometime it looks like brown, light blue, and dark grey.

Totally agree with all if this. IMHO, all other colours just don't cut it. I love my brownish Desire, wouldn't trade it for any other colour.

I originally went looking all over the place for the silver one, but eventually settled for the brown one as that one was easier to get my hands on a while back. Kind of happy with the decision, in pictures the brown one is horrible to look at, but if you hold it in your hand and/or hold a silver one next to it, the silver one looks like crap. Brown does work, just not in the pictures.
The white one also looks good in the pictures, but I wonder what it'll end up looking like once you actually hold it in your hands and work with it.

[Q] HTC Desire HD (Slate Grey color)??

Can anyone point me to any link showing a slate grey HTC Desire HD? I ordered one and I haven't receive it yet. While waiting, I took the liberty of searching it online but I can only find either Black or Mocha Brown color.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks!!
Slate Grey i'ts probably the same color as Black/Mocha Brown. May shop wrong name of color.
I found on ebay this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/HTC-Desire-HD-U...0515578135?pt=Cell_Phones&hash=item43a413ed17
I came across this one but the picture is still Black and not the Slate Grey as describe. I was wondering if anyone has seen (even in picture) an actual colored grey HTC Desire HD.
Thanks!
i finally found it! it looks nice! LOL

Isn't that just the prototype?

Catch it in the correct lighting and screw with the colour balance (the hands not quite right) and mine looks not a million miles from that, but yeah from the date (and the writing on the back) I would assume that's a prototype
Where do you actually buy a non-Mocha one from? I'd much rather buy a black one, but I can't find them anywhere... I'm pretty sure they're not even producing them.

[Q] Black..... Does anyone know when this is coming out in black?

Specifically from Amazon or BestBuy

The only thing I've seen that is at all date-specific is for a "brown black" model coming in mid-June (but don't know where it will be released):
http://www.ubergizmo.com/2013/05/galaxy-note-8-0-in-brown-black-color-apparently-coming-in-june/
Is that Brown black that chocolate brown from the note2?

On sammmobile they report kw25 for release. Which is Form the 17th to 23rd of June

I'm just guessing, but I would say No since it looks like the Note 2 brown is often referred to as Amber Brown, and looking at the pictures I would not describe that brown as a "brown black" color.
I think very early reports indicated a black Note 8 would be coming, so I would guess that the "brown black" note is actually in reference to that, and thus that the color is going to be more like "black, with hints of brown".
But again, I'm just speculating.

Yep, probably just like they called the Note 1 BLUE. It was more of a blackish Blue
Hm, I'd really like a brown.
But now I thinking about whether to buy the 3g white version for 460€ or to wait another 5-6 weeks for the black 3g version that might cost around 500e in the beginning.

So does Samsung usually charge more for new colors then? I too am debating about waiting for the new black Note 8, but I doubt it would be worth it to me enough to pay extra.
They don't charge extra.
The MSRP was 599€ but the online retailer immediately sold it for 499€. In the meanwhile the prices dropped to about 460€ incl. 19% VAT for the white 3G version.
When they now bring the other colors, the prices would be about 499€ again and it wood take some days/weeks until they drop to the same level the white version is already (~455€)
That's all.

Oh, okay, thanks! Here in the US we haven't seen any drop in price yet for the Wifi-only model (selling at $400 currently, which is where it originally started selling at).

Grey vs. Stone Grey

The product image looks a bit different. The grey over at Motorola looks lighter than the product image on Best Buy or the Play Store for grey.
Also, Best Buy and Play Store show a color option as just "Grey". But Motorola lists it as "Stone Grey".
Are there 3 (Black, Stone Grey, and Grey) different leather band options or just 2? Or is it Best Buy and Google Play being lazy to add the world "Stone"?

supposedly Stone Grey was a limited edition.. not sure also if that means its a 3rd strap or they just meant the grey strap in general and didnt add "stone"

i called moto and they said they were the same...because i made two orders from them, one was grey, and the other stone grey...i'm pretty sure he just made up an answer though. Anything to get you off the phone faster.
I thought Best Buy had an exclusive on the gray band. Was that just temporary or am I mistaken?

Stone Gray popped up on BestBuy.com today. So now they have 3 listed.
There are two greys. The stone grey one is actually a bit purple!
I am not sure which one is meant to be limited edition or if simply they ran out of one grey and sourced a different strap as a temporary measure!!

On launch, when I ordered directly with moto, the site said the Gray is a launch day color only and the color will change later to the "stone" gray. But that may have changed since launch.
I got lucky and found a returned original dark gray at my local Best Buy this afternoon. It was marked down to $217.99 and with my Post Office 10% coupon, it was $191.88 plus tax.

The rear is not brushed???

Heya guys,
So I was looking at the mi5s and I realised that some versions don't have a brushed back while some do. Does anyone have any information about this? Has it maybe got something to do with the capacity of the phone for example maybe the 32gb version isn't brushed but the 128gb is???
Thanks for your help
As some users pointed out, the brushed version is on the 128GB version but not on the other couple. I'm getting my 3/64 gray colour version today and I'll see whether it's brushed back or not. But I don't care about that as much as I do about the all-black front. I'll report.
Got my phone today. I confirm that 3/64GB Gray version is NOT brushed. Beautiful nonetheless.

Mine is a 4/128GB Silver version and it looks very similar to yours, not sure how to tell if brushed, but from the pictures it is like yours.
Guys I have talked with a few Chinese resellers and they told me that the brushed versions aren't being manufactured even for the 128gb model . Its not so much a deal breaker but having it would be nice as it looks too 'normal' with the iphonish look going on.

Maybe the gray/silver hue on yours is a bit lighter maybe not. Maybe backs are actually the same. Mine does have the full black front though which yours likely doesn't if you ordered silver...

The colours are different on the silver and grey model. The grey is slightly grey and the silver is a more light, silver colour. You can see the difference when your look at the contrast of the antenna line and the rest of the body in pictures.

Probably will need to have the phones side by side to feel the difference... but I don't care about the brushed stuff, mine looks good
