Anyone have pictures of the graphite model?

In the interest of those getting their desire from mobilephonesdirect I thought it would be useful if someone can post a picture of the graphite model so we know what it looks like (the only sell the graphite option)

I spoke to mobilephonesdirect again today and they are saying that what they are classing as Graphite is the one shown on their website.
Which is what everyone else is calling brown.
While on the phone to them they said they had called HTC and they were told that they are NOT getting the silver one. (which is opposite to what they told me last week)
I think that they've just decided to call the brown one graphite to confuse everyone
The guy at customer support told me that if the phone I receive is not the same colour as the one shown on the website that I can return it.

You're right about the color, I also think the color is more black then brown. If you watch it in daylight you can see a brown tint (the photos are taken under quite yellow fluorescent lamps).
By the way, the silver is not as shiny as it looks.

How come this silver color seems to be enigmatic? How come I don't see it at the usual retailers that will be offering the Desire? HTC didn't even make an official mention of it. Is it some kind of exclusive/special edition or what?

I thinks it's exclusive to some retailers, like PDAShop.be, they seem to offer the silver one exclusively.

On your photos, there are definitely docking pins on the bottom of the phones.
Do you know if the final version will have them?
HTC didn't even mention them... and i'm wondering about the different versions...

The silver model will only be exclusive for the dutch retail.

About the docking pins; I've got different answers from HTC. One said the will be gone in the final model while another person says they wil stay. We will see.

There is another version that is clearly black, so calling the brown one black would be confusing, even though it does look more black than brown.

That's awesome! I didn't even know a slider case was available for the SGS already. Def worth looking into. Just wish it didn't have the dvt antenna cutout.

I already contacted SGP about getting Galaxy S cases in the US. They simply said the don't sell them anywhere here.

Man I normally don't like cases, but I kinda like that one.

It looks ok. but very heavy. And, Ive to see anything that protects the LCD.

f u got internet explorer and got goggle tool bar installed you can find a translate button which will convert nearly all the writting in english

I wanted the white one, but now im undecided between Black and White what do you guys think?

I just ordered a black one. Think it keeps the phone closest to the original look.

Awesome find Frescokiiid! I look forward to a review of the case from whoever gets one first.
I already ordered three other covers, but this is the kind I was waiting for.

i just put the order through, i ended up ordering the black one. ill be updating the status of my order since it looks like a British site and will be a week or two before i get it specially since i went the cheap route and got the 3 dollar shipping lol.

A new color is available for the desire .. white , its simply beautiful , i wonder why htc decided to make the brown color the standard edition , the black and silver editions are awesome too

i have the brown one -,-
wish i knew about the black one before purchase
all i ever saw in shops was the brown one (even on the internet - i have seen a few shots of the black one but i thought it was with some cover or something) so i assumed they only come in brown color :F
white one looks like it shows dirt/sweat after 5sec

The black one is exclusive to Orange in the UK, not sure if its available in other countries or not.
The white looks nice but looks like it'll soon look dirty though

I got a silver one. Absolutely love it. Also because it's more rare. Few people have the Silver version.

Silver one just looks cheap, compared to brown one. The high contrast of the Amoled screen just comes out more prominent on the brown one. I was a bit worried when ordering, but i still think the brown one is the prettiest.

I wonder if anyone else notice this. The aluminum trim around the screen on my brown desire change colour depends on sunlight. Sometime it looks like brown, light blue, and dark grey.

Totally agree with all if this. IMHO, all other colours just don't cut it. I love my brownish Desire, wouldn't trade it for any other colour.

I originally went looking all over the place for the silver one, but eventually settled for the brown one as that one was easier to get my hands on a while back. Kind of happy with the decision, in pictures the brown one is horrible to look at, but if you hold it in your hand and/or hold a silver one next to it, the silver one looks like crap. Brown does work, just not in the pictures.
The white one also looks good in the pictures, but I wonder what it'll end up looking like once you actually hold it in your hands and work with it.

I have sent back a few white one X phones back to Amazon, who have stopped selling the whites now.. Eat that HTC, Hopefully you will listen now a main supplier has stopped selling it. lmao
I have ordered my first grey from them, are the greys proving to be better?

From what i've seen in the shops i'd say the white looks much better, although i haven't used it at home yet (being delivered). I've ordered a slim clear case to keep it clean without sacrificing the looks.

I liked the white one x, but both handsets i received had issues. So i thought the grey might have less issues. Hence the question

The colour shouldn't make a difference, unless they're manufactured by different people/in different places (no idea if they are). Sounds like you would prefer a working white model over a working grey one? Personally, I would have kept trying to get a working white one because there's no guarantee that a grey one would work better.

I have the white one, no problems apart from Storage disappearing, 1gb at a time lol. I've seen loads of Grey One X's with fading / discolouration problems on the back of the case.

I bought my grey one while raising one eyebrow, rubbing my belly with my left hand and hopping one knee and have had no faults.
Do we really think that colour has anything to do with it? Really?

Some people would buy the grey one thinking all the white ones have problems as they were released after the whites in certain countries, they would think it wouldn't have certain bugs and problems....I got another white one and this one has no flaws to the perfect detail

Also Amazon would not replace my white one anyway as they have sent all their whites back to HTC

Already newer batches are out and white seems to be good because grey will de colour soon. Protect your phone with skin. I have white and no issues so far.

I am getting good deals on both a white and black [not the grayish one] one X, need to decide today which one to buy. I have seen that the white version is more common, also in reviews it kind of stands out as well. I want to ask your opinion on which one is better ie,
-more elegant looks wise, when held in hand etc
-gets dirty more easily, more easy to clean, would proove to be more resistant to scratches [atleast appearance wise] overall

I have the black version I'd say i prefer it over white but its up to you.

I have a white one, and my friend have a black one, for me the black one look more executive and nice.

Someone just made me realize that there is not "black" version of the one x, just the grayish one. So its the grayish one that you prefer over white then? The problem is that i haven't held both of them side by side, so it keeps crossing my mind that the white one probably looks better! lol

I had the white and hated it. Looked crap imo. Got the grey and love it. Looks smart. Best bet is look in the shops to compare. I found the white showed grime more
It's all personal preference though dude look at them in real life not just pics.
