Bluetooth Serial Port message is a problem - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Hi all,
On the HTC TP2 we receive the serial port message every time we try to open a blue tooth connection. Is there any way to get rid of this, of have it automatically pick the correct port each time a connection is made??
We have a Windows application written in VB that utilizes several bluetooth devices.
This is the exact message
Bluetooth Serial Port
Please Select a serial port connection shortcut to connect.

I was able to find this link which has the same problem as we do, but was unhelpful.

We are still experiencing difficulties with this. We have found out that the blue tooth stack used in the HTC Touch pro 2 is made by Broadcom. We are currently trying to work with them for a solution, and any help here is appreciated.

serial port

Does anyone know if there are differences in the serial port between Blue Angel and earlier HTC versions. I have an app that runs well on earlier, even Win SE versions, but not on Blue Angel. Is the wiring different?
Did anyone encounter difficulties too?
The only time I've had trouble is when receive all check box is set in the settings / connections for IRdA, or secondly if I've been using my pocket keyboard, I then need to run the keyboard settings and tell it that I want serial port - Mike

Serial Cable

Hi all,
This forum being the greatest about HTC, I think you guys will have the answer :
I would like to use my TyTN to connect to the console of a router (using serial connection) :
1. Does anyone know where I could find a miniUSB-DB9 adapter ?
2. Will there be a driver for serial port, or is it natively managed with COM ?
Such cables exist but for PC, but not miniUSB and with a Windows driver, no info about the same thing for PocketPC.
Anyone knows ?
Thanks

DELETED Message where I thought I found it..
Understood the problem..
Hi all,
AFAI understood I cannot find a solution due to the lack of USB Host support in the TyTN. I still wonder if the port can be used in direct low level serial mode as you see in bootloader. Could WinMobile use it ?
Another way would be to have a device that would be usb host, putting the phone into slave mode, but maybe I dream...
Thanks for any reply..
there is a bluetooth to serial adaptor which has been reported to work with the tytn.
COM1
Hi,
After much googleing there's still hope. Windows Mobile presents a COM port : 'COM1 via cable' and in the specs of the TyTN there is RS232 communication.
I still cannot figure out if the miniUSB connector pins could be simply mapped to the corresponding RS232 signals. Probably not
Anyway I flashed the XDA-Live wm6 ROM and it's great ! the battery seem to last longer (still 70% after 2 days!)

midomi application !!

hi everyone !!
while searching in another wepsite i've found a useful application called midomi which is for omnia 2 samsung mobile . in brief , it's for searching in music in case you've part of the song even if you've part of the song's word you can get it .
i tried install it in my blackstone , but... when opening the application a message appears to me says : network errror.. try again
so, what am looking for, if someone could offer it or any application similar to it and get it here so everyone can use it and get the benefit .
thx in advance ....
it only works while connected on a WIFI network
Edit this registry from 3 to 1:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Melodis\Midomi\midomiGU IDType
enjoy.
Jake
sure i am connected with wifi ..
and i made it 3 instead of 1 in the registry .. but no matter
my friend jake did u try it in blackstone ??
any other suggestions ... ?
Try my version on my signature.
No need to modify the registry.
You can install on Device/Storage Card/Internal Storage/RAMdisk as your choice.
No, the registryentrie HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Melodis\Midomi\midomiGU IDType is the "connection setup" for midomi
1 definied connection over umts, edge, gprs and so on
3 definied connection over Wifi
If you have wifi connected to AP then will Blackstone regulary disconnect the umts, gprs connection.
Also disconnect the wifi connection when you change the regisrtyentrie from 3 to 1 and it will go on.
Sorry for my bad english.

Android Bluetooth Master Slave

Hello
I am new in this forum and I am asking for help
I have a Huawei Honor 7 Lite Phone and I would like to connect it to a computer via bluetooth
from my knowledge it results that in the device manager there should be serial ports, eg incoming and outgoing
after connecting via bluetooth, I do not have these parameters.
I have an application on the computer thanks to which I can see who is calling to me. I used to use for this purpose samsung b2710 which was perfect for this type of solutions but now we have gone forward Is it possible that such ports will appear? I learned from a friend that once android version 2.1 was serving ports
Maybe some bluetooth manifesto written in an android studio? I am asking you for help and thank you in advance
