Best Contract Deal in the UK for the HTC Desire

Hi, I'm looking for the best new contract deal for the HTC Desire in the UK.
Unlimited internet is an obvious must-have with a phone like this. Since all networks are roughly the same coverage in my area, I can choose the best value deal. I am personally looking for at least 200 minutes and 200 texts, but of course, I'm happy to have more than I'll use for a better value deal.
I will edit and add to these 3 categories as better contract deals become available.
Or if anyone finds a good deal and posts to this thread, I will add it to this list:

via mobilephonesdirect.co.uk.
At mobiles.co.uk the £30 vodafone tarrif has been reduced to £25.
So:
Free Desire
600 Minutes
Unlimited Texts
Vodafone Passport
for £25
It would then cost an extra £5 ontop for internet. But this is still £5 cheaper than I currently pay for my G1 and it seems one of the few options where the desire is free.

i am definitely going for this one, as o2 probably wont have desire in 2-3weeks when my contract runs out, i ll have to move to vodafone which I dont mind
Has anyone used mobiles.co.uk? I've seen some pretty bad reviews
From what I've read, O2 is the only network that doesn't put a specific MB limit of "fair use" on it's unlimited data plans. Others have 500mb which is tiny. I've tethered my phone to my laptop and had over 15gb in a month before they sent me a polite message saying to go easy on the data.
Carephone warehouse web only deal:
30gbp / month
phone cost: 0
cross network minutes: 900
texts : 500
internet - unlimited
contract length - 2 years
Best Contract deal

BTW. You can swap out the unlimited web and get unlimited txts if you want. No change to price whatsoever.
Someone find a better deal!

What's the exactly link for this deal as the link you've provided seems to be a glorified search website?
Sounds like a T-mobile deal though.

Oh I see it now. As I thought, the T-mobile deals are in line with their new style line deals- Flexible Boosters.
These deals are presumbly for new customers, where for example if you are an existing T-mobile customer, you cannot sign up for any of the T-Mobile deals on there as a new customer - with your existing number?
My T-mobile contract has expired so will need to find out the upgrade prices.

Can't you just end your contract formally if it's expired?; then you become a new customer, surely?
I must say I'm tempted by this deal even though I have a pre-order in with a price of £374, just to spread the cost - but the down side is having a Desire locked to T-Mobile for a few months. Could always get an i-Smart SIM unlocker, I suppose. I could still use the T-Mobile SIM in my car phone.

Similar deals are available from Mobiles.co.uk once you factor in the £50 cash back via Quidco and their site specifically says that the phone is unlocked and no branding.

I can end the contract but I'm unsure if I can transfer my existing number over, which is a must for me. I'll have to wait until T-mobile start doing the device directly and give them a call.
I've been with T-mobile for about 15 years and have been happy with the packages over time and indeed their coverage (voice and data). But I may still have a look at Vodafone (and/or Virgin) to see if they can offer something better as a new customer.

You will be able to transfer your number but you would need a PAYG Sim to transfer it to (any network) and then transfer the number from the PAYG sim to the new contract sim.
Vodafone have an awesome deal on mobiles.co.uk. Free phone, 600 Minutes and Unlimited texts for £25. Then you pay £5 for internet making it £30 a month - £5 cheaper than my G1 with the same amount of minutes/texts.

And if you're not interested in the hassle of getting the cashback yourself, if you follow my link to the supplier (which is referred through TopCashBack) and buy a deal on that visit, I will get the cashback myself (I can only dream )
Thanks to shawon007 and nubbin for sharing their find on Mobile Phones Direct. I've added the deal to my OP, and another 18m contract for £25 which gives 300 mins and 300 txts for a total of only £426 after cashback.
And with someone mentioning QuidCo... TopCashBack has all the same deals, but does not charge an annual subscription of £5 like QuidCo does. I have only just recently discovered the site myself, but you can get free cashback for thinks like ordering free sim cards... I've done the following free cashback deals so far...
TMobile Free Sim Card - £1.00
O2 Free Sim - £1.00
Orange Free Sim Card - £0.80
3 Mobile Free Sim - £0.50 (with £10 free credit!)
Cashinmyfone - £4.50 (I sent them a really old nokia 3330, in their pre-paid jiffy bag, that they are paying me £1.14 for, plus I get this cashback )
I always love something for nothing
Removed the following deal from Original Post because the new one I found for £426 is much better (now in OP), and for the same thing:
Code:
Supplier: [URL="http://www.topcashback.co.uk/share/Andaho/mobilescontract-phones"]Mobiles.co.uk[/URL]
Network: T-Mobile
Tariff: Web 300
Minutes: 300
Texts: 300
Internet: Unlimited
Phone Cost: £80
Per Month: £25
Cashback: £50 from [URL="http://www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/Andaho"]TopCashBack.co.uk[/URL]
Total Cost: £480

Ah yes, I've heard of people transferring the number that way. But some have said (with T-mobile) that you can't go back to them within a 12 month period, 'to stop people taking advantage of new deals' (!).
I'm no longer a heavy call/text user, data is a must though. So I'm looking out for as fewer minutes/text as possible (no too low!) and unlimited data. I've currently just transferred to a SIM only 30 day contract on T-mobile (same number) - 100 mins, 100 texts, 'unlimited' data for £10p/m. My previous contract was £35 p/m with a billion minutes and texts that I no longer need.

HTC Desire on 3UK - Excellent deals

Hi
had a handset on request from three, and just cancelled the order after seeing their new deals, not sure if the handsets are still unlocked, however on a 24 month contract you could get the handset from £22 monthly with 300 minutes/txt, or £25 monthly with 500 mins/txt for free, the online prices vary slightly from those in store, but they are better than the £35. monthly advertised by most networks.
They are really trying to corner the market, its a shame the network coverage is not the best.
Jim
wow, £22 per month as well? i just had it yesterday with £25 per month with 500mins, unlimited text and 1GB internet( well, so call ' unlimited internet), they told me it was the manager special.... can't believe that they are doing the £22 per month as well..
And the deal was off today, that's why i got it yesterday(That's what they told me...)

I didn't get a particular amazing deal looking at some of these..
300 mins,
unlim. texts,
500mb data
£79 for handset.
£27 a month @ o2
I'm planning on returning the handset next week (14 day cooling off period) and ordering through dial a phone instead.
Seems like the Orange Panther is the one for me:
600 mins,
unlim txts,
1gb data,
£59 for the handset and £28.50 a month.
Within the cooling off period I am allowed to use the phone aren't I? I don't want to unwrap the handset and realise I'm unable to return it.
I got:
300 mins
3000 texts
1GB data
All for £28-50 per month on orange and a free media link from phones4u the phone cost was £109.99 but after I placed the order I said I was going to cancel it so they refunded the £109.99... I saw some other guy did the same and they refunded his £109.99 as well, its worth the argument with P4U they always seem to refund the phone cost lol

My deal with t-mobile s basically the same price plan with free phone also includes micro sim card in the box same number
18month contracts on both
Both same contracts I was on before
1 was £240 a month for calls voicemail and 0845 numbers
Unlimited txts
Unlimited internet
£37 a month
Other contract
1200 mins includes 0845 numbers and voice mail
Unlimited txts
Unlimited internet
£37 a month
These 2 price plans are not available anymore there were discontinued a year ago so nobody can get them anymore
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA
Those with contracts from T-Mobile, did you get your phones from them directly or via another 3rd party on-line supplier (P4U, CPW, etc). In other words do T-Mobile have the phones in stock today?
I know they are crap in updating their website from 'coming soon' to being available. I know Orange have already updated theirs.
EDIT:
Just thought I'd quickly give them a call. They don't actually have them in stock at the time of calling (or possibly not showing on the systems) but they are able to take orders.

Tempted to change my current order to this (I'm on the £29 p/m Ultimate 500 with free headset).
This deal means if unlimited data is a thing of the past in 2 years (or expensive), I'll simply stick on £25 a month which is reasonable.
Seems like I'm going to be waiting ages for Affordable Mobiles to deliver anyway, cancelling and re-ordered will probably make no difference.
Trying to find out when they charge for the handset, if it's right now or on despatch. Dialaphone charged prior to despatch.

Looking at 300 Mins/Unl Texts/500Mb on O2 for £27/month and free phone, from Tesco
Don't need the minutes (have survived on 100 for last 2 years) just need to decide on colour as I can get white form elsewhere at the same cost... choices
