T-Mobile back in stock (telephone order) - Desire General

Just had a call from T-Mobile - my phone will be with me by 1pm tomorrow.

Just called them myself on the strength of this and was told that they are out of them already, so I assume that they went to existing orders. I only ordered on the 30th (was only eligible for upgrade then) so people who had earlier orders may be lucky. Guess that Means I shall have to wait till next Tuesday at the earliest now.

Just gave them a call and they said mine had been sent out
I think I was on the priority list though.

I order mine on 26th and have just got my email saying its winging its way.

My second one is on its way, I will be interested to see if there are any software changes. Just got text from tmobile saying my second line is active.

i have just ordered mine bout 10 mins ago and the woman clearly said sunday, i dont know who is working on easter sunday but she definitely said it twice

Placed my upgrade order at 17:30 tonight (online using T-mob's new 'chat' facility ) and was told "should be in the next 7 days" when I asked about delivery. There's no consistency in their answers is there?

I ordered my desire yesterday and was told they were out of stock but more were due in today. I just got a call from them to say my phone will be sent out today for tomorrow delivery.

umm im starting to worry that she actually said 7days instead of sunday cuz who works on easter sunday lol, oh well at least i got it for cheap

i ordered mine last night. £40 upgrade, £15 a month jobby for 2 years.
i was told they were out of stock but more would be in within 48hrs and i should have it within 7 days.

ive already got myself a desire from CPW and i have just recieved my confirmation of delivery from t-mobile for my second one, will be delivered tomorrow!!!!!

how do you use the chat facility? do you have to me a present member of t-mobile?

No you just view desire price plans and you will be offered to chat if they're available.
Speaking of chat.. They are very rude. They seem to have no idea if they are in stock. I told them Ill order one right now if they have in stock. and they said they couldnt price check mobilephonesdirect.
I'll post a transcript here if I entered the email correctly..
EDIT: Oh and they cut me off straightaway after I said "I'll order one..". Wierd humans...

Yeah I got through. I said I'd go through them if they price matched mobilephonesdirect, but they could only offer the deals shown on the website. Shame.

It arrived at 8am this morning. WooHoo!

Just checked the T-Mobile website and my upgrade has been processed. Of course delivery is not possible now for the 4 days of Easter, but at least I know it will be on its way.
If it helps, my order was an Upgrade ordered about 8am on the 30th.
ADDENDEM: just got off the phone, was told there was a 40% chance I could get it Saturday (I assume that this is due to limited deliveries on the weekend), but then he checked and confirmed it will be Tuesday.

AT&T Tilt 2 - How long did it take to receive it?

I just ordered my Tilt 2 today around 2:00pm PST. I got them to waive the overnight delivery fee and the CS rep said I should receive it tomorrow. I have checked the status on the website and it says "backordered."
I've since read numerous posts in this forum about others having the same issue. What I'm wondering (for my own peace of mind hopefully) is how long did it take to you to receive yours once you ordered it?

I ordered mine late Friday night, shipped yesterday, got it today with overnight shipping.
Ordered from premier on Thursday, got it Friday
Ordered today at 11am on the phone, got the order confirmation email 2 hours later and just got a fedex number email a couple hours after that saying its shipped and being delivered tomorrow. No mention of any backorder like some people are getting.

ordered mine saturday afternoon and received it today. att is pretty good with their priority shipping. i handle some of the blackberry ordering at my work and we always get priority shipping and always arrives the next day.

Probably. And since the Touch Pro 2 on Verizon has been out of stock for so long, the new inventory probably won't be in for another month or two. Probably in time for the holidays though!
Just kidding...that's just how AT&T's inventory system works for some reason. It'll probably ship tonight/tomorrow morning, and you'll have it before the weekend.

Wow, you really crushed my spirits for a minute! I'm really hoping I get it tomorrow, as promised. I'm just so anxious I feel like a kid the night before they go to Disneyland for the first time. I can't even look at my Blackberry Bold right now because it just makes me want my Tilt 2 more!
Ordered it Thursday night at 8pmish and got a tracking number by noon the next day. So called "Two Day Shipping" got it here Tuesday. It was worth it, but it took longer than I cared for...

second time they gave a price of 299.. then reduced it to 279 n gave me 15 off of first 3 bills.. i also have some other discounts by referring some frnds.. 25 bucks.. so over all a good deal..

Did you get an email with a confirmation that you'll receive Wed by 3pm or did you find out through the AT&T website?
The rest of the loyal att customers are going to have to wait another week or two. The local stores can only pre order but att will not release the stock to ship anytime soon. They only shipped the dummy phones to the stores, so i got to play with that. One store had the screen protection kit for the tilt 2. That might be a sign it is coming soon.
So frustrated right now...it's like I'm obsessed...checking the order status page every 5 mins!!!!

T-mobile UK have 1300 units in stock @ 13.40 GMT 26th March

Apologies for starting a new thread but I (as well as a few others) have just had confirmation that T-mobile now have them in stock, ready for next day delivery.
I was told by the rep that the new phones go through a quarantine process that can take anywhere between a couple hours to a couple of days- the Desire was given the go ahead; whereas the SE X10 had to be 'given back to the manufacturer'
I have to thank you for telling us this. I just contacted T-Mobile and managed to get the operator to despatch it today. I had ordered my phone on Tuesday, the 25th and I had no status updates until today. A quick call to T-Mobile and now I have an email to confirm that my phone's winging its way to me. Hopefully I get it tomorrow or Monday!!
I have no doubt they will come tomorrow as long as they are ordered before 4pm they will arrive tomorrow.
Yeah thanks fortunately someone actually kept there promise and called me as soon as it arrived and has dispatched mine out for tomorrow.
I have received the email from t-mobile saying my phone has been despatched... but for delivery on a SATURDAY?!?!?!? I think it's far more likely it will not be delivered until Monday.

It's not a normally delivery it's a courier delivery for between 9am-1pm.
The woman on the phone did tell me that "Delivery was free for the Desire". I am thinking this is the special saturday delivery they normally charge £7 for which is done by some company other than Royal Mail.

Yes, exactly... couriers charge extra for saturday deliveries... but I will indeed be pleased if it does arrive tomorrow I wish they had an order tracking on t-mobile.. I have an order ref number, but no way of tracking it... I also want to look at it because they sent me 2 emails for the order, and wondering if I maybe clicked twice on submit or something and have 2 coming!!! :/

I reckon they probably don't have them, They offer next day delivery so if they took delivery on the 7th like everyone else (or have it shipped direct from the distributor) they would still be within the 7 days,

i just did live chat with them as well and they are shipping when it is released sim free, so i suspect they do have them in but are not allowed to ship until the 1st but then you have a bank holiday weekend so that would mean next day would still be the 6th as quoted.
I ordered yesterday and emailed them to see if my order would be sent out in the first batch this week, but got a reply saying it would be with me this week.
I think the person who sent email back to me forgot about bloody easter weekend so it will be next week I imagine.

I have another T-Mob account (for my son) and received a text on that one saying that the new number is now active. Does that mean they will charge my account from today or when I put the SIM in the phone?

i'm also a lil annoyed because i have noticed they are now doing the phone free on £25pm contracts and i paid £6 its not going to break the bank but still if i have to wait and get it the same time its a tad annoying. But yay not long now \m/

With tech you but at one price on day one and half the price a bit later, normallyou to get some quality use time in the gap, but not there!

I had the same thing. I expect prices to drop, but not in the space of 2 days. Suffice to say, I sent them an email pointing this out and got told that once I have my phone if I get in touch again, I'll get refunded. Worth emailing them

Price of phone was £5.99 and they've now reduced it to free on that contract
mine has not changed to sent yet and i was in town today and they have them in stock in our tmobile shop ready to sell tomorrow, i was thinking it may be worth a trip down, see if they will match the deal and then cancel the one for mpd. I also had a phone call from vodafone saying they are selling the now (early) but they could not match the price though not far off.

T-Mobile Stock Update

Just spoke to a nice lady over a T-Mobile who said they have received a very large shipment of units about 10 minutes ago.
Those waiting for a Desire from them should receive them either tomorrow or the next day.
Excellent news - Mine was booked for tomorrow over a week ago. Also getting a SE W995 to replace an excellent but battered K800i, but I'll bet that there's no stock problems on that one...

but id rather wait a month and get the x10 mini pro! release date 24.05.
X10 Mini does look nice, but my better half hates the newer touch-screeny things (she's managed to put people on hold and send blank messages whilst on the same phone call before on my handsets), doesn't like QWERTY and wanted something as close to the K800 as possible - which didn't leave a lot of choice. Just a shame SE ditched the xenon flash from the C905 - the K800 really is a camera with a phone added on. Plus the W995 is the last one available with the huge SE multi connector, and there's a bit of legacy stuff to transfer (like the in-car equipment). Overall the W995 is a good handset, plus I got a money-saving deal on it compared to current Flext35 - free Internet too, which means I don't have to fiddle with the system like before (I'd set the Internet to use a picture as homepage and proxy server, because it was too easy to knock it on when cancelling stuff).
Aw nuts - delayed until Thursday! Still, the W995 arrived on time so at least there's that to play with...
Just got a text saying my Desire is going to be delivered 8am-2pm Thursday. Good job I don't have work to go to that day.

Just over a week - mind you, when they said it could be shipped by last Thursday I asked for the phone to be delayed a bit cos I was away... now it looks like that dropped me down the 'priority' list a bit.
Also, ordered by phone - in my experience, I always get a better deal talking to someone rather than clicking web offers...

Phoned up this morning to complain and was told that more were expected this pm and they would keep an eye on my order. Now just had an email saying delivery tomorrow.

I ordered mine at 8:30am on the 26th March and by last Thursday I still had heard nothing, so I went instore and the guy there told me I would have to cancel my upgrade with 150. I phoned them up and told them the situation and they recreated my deal on the system instore, so the guy instore basically handed me a form so sign and my handset. He said he had never seen anything like that before. Took all of 2 minutes

paid £95 for the phone on the £15/24m contract. about £450 over the 2 years.
would have gone for the £164 on the £10/24m contract which is £404 over the two years, but didn't have a spare £164 at that exact moment!
Hmmm, I guess we were the last of our kind to pay the lower handset cost. The next generation of buyers will have to fork out at least £60 more. That doesn't please me btw

AT&T Penny Sale Shipments

I've been checking my email every 5 mins to see if my phone has shipped yet. Just can't wait to get it, hoping for Weds. Anyways, to try and gauge how AT&T is doing on the processing how about every one post the time they ordered, what shipping method they ordered and what phone they ordered and update their posts once it has shipped? I'll go first.

Lucky! I was ready to order at about 11:30pm ET on Friday night (the sale went live a little early, I guess) but I went through checkout about 5 times and it never would apply the instant rebate, even when I tried a few times an hour until after midnight MT. I had no desire to pay the $300+ and then try to get a refund from AT&T later.
I also have Premier, so I called in to "business care" in the wee hours of Saturday morning, but they couldn't access promotions so told me to call Premier SALES (separate department), which is only open M-F. I told them the sale was only good on Saturday, so they said they put a note on my account to guarantee that Premier would honor the deal on Monday.
Didn't want to take that gamble either, so I called "regular" sales when they opened on Saturday (which turned out to be 8am MT). I ordered the Titan, they honored the penny deal, and said NOTHING about being sold out or backordered yet. That said, I STILL have not received my shipping confirmation email, and checking my order on the website says that it's processing, not backordered, but not shipped.
Wednesday would be a welcome surprise, but I'm not expecting it and I've been using this Samsung Solstice for 2 months now since I accidentally "laundered" my Focus, so I suppose I can eke my way through a few more days.

I just went to the store and had them price match.
I ordered my Titan at 8:45am on Saturday. I called the store to see if they would honor the deal first and they said "no".
I have not received a shipping notice, but checked my order status and it shows that it has shipped already via USPS.
So, for those without shipping e-mails, go to the ATT website and check your order status.
Ordered 11/26 using the device upgrade page on the AT&T website. Shipped 11/28 via USPS. Hopefully will arrive in the next few days.

It was for either new customers, or customers adding a line, or customers who were upgrade-eligible (within the last 6 months of a contract). It did require a 2-year contract, so if you're early in an existing contract, it wouldn't have worked.
