Added some screenshots and video for the upcoming build. 249views here and no reply here. Not bad! Nevertheless I have enabled JIT Dalvik VM and get a Linpack Benchmark of 4.04MFLOPS. Again this should work also on your devices but til now I have no feedback of anyone if the first release did work on your Blackstones. Anyone wanna try (tutorials provided when you follow main thread on XDA-Developers' HTC Diamond-section).
I only have A HTC Diamond. As described in first post you must update startup.txt with correct values for
- ramaddr
- mtype
- lcd density
If anyone gets it to work in first release than contact me and share your startup.txt with me. Otherwise I will package one into the new build for my own although I have no Blackstone. So help by anyone would be good in this stadium.

Main-thread updated with download link for new build [08.06.2010]. I have also included startups for HTC Blackstone (see main thread or my signature)

i've tried it yesterday(the 04 build!), by creating 2 partitions on my 2gb sd card, the ext one have 1,5gb and the fat32 0,5gb.
I've also modified the startup text file to be like this :
set ramsize 0x10000000
set ramaddr 0x10000000
set mtype 2030
set cmdline "root=/dev/mmcblk0p2 init=/init rootwait rw rootdelay=10 console=tty0 rootdelay=10 fbcon=rotate:1 lcd.density=210 msmts_calib=0x395.0x3c9.0x79.0x77 clock-7x00.a11=500 msmvkeyb_toggle=off pmem.extra=1 gsensor_axis=2,-1,3 acpuclock.oc_freq_khz=650000 htcblackstone-panel.no_bkl_off=1"
boot

after starting Haret, it loads up and execute all the scripts but it get stuck on the black screen and android don't show up.
I will try today release and i'll post a feedback!

Ok thank you for trying out.

k.zik don't get higher than 512MB for ext2:
You could do it the following (assuming 2GB sd card):
1.3G FAT32
300M EXT2
300M EXT2
Also it is very important to unmount your device / sd-card before starting android up

Downloading for my Blackstone.
When i try it, i post here...

thank you for trying this out insestito!

it doesn't boot up!
I've tried it several times with the kernels avaible with haret but nothing shows up!
waiting for insestito to see if it works with him.

Can you put here a mini tutorial ???
i need linux in my computer ???
Thanks !

Notice: Sorry guys I don't have a Blackstone but I am using XDAndroid rootfs + kernels. So this should work for you. But I can't test it on my own.
So this is the way to go:
Install Linux (or use LiveCD GParted) to create the ext2 partitions (a Neopeek-User called fu-raz will publish an according tutorial for GParted LIveCD in the evening, he promised me -> otherwise you will have to follow the main thread on diamond section -> see my signature -> SuperEclair)
When you have created succesfully the partitions on your sd card you will have to extract contents of Haret-PaketV1.2.zip to your first partition (Fat32) and put the startup.txt for your device into the root of the fat32-partition
Then you will need to extract superclair02b.zip to your second partition (ext2). For this you will have to use LINUX, It won't work in Windows
After that, please unmount your device and / or sdcard and wait for complete unmount before you start android
Simply just follow the steps which I describe in main-thread and my website and reproduce all steps (+just use sdcard). I Think k-zik is on the right way. It could be just a wrong thing in startup. So you will have to try it out. Even some Diamond users got it working after trying several times. If you think the startup is ok and you don't get any errors regarding partitioning. Then maybe you should give an older zImage + kernel from XDAndroid autobuild service a go as I use the latest. Hope this helps.

where I put the contents of supereclair02b ..... ??
The content of haret-packet i put in partition fat32 ????

you will have to put the content of supereclair02b on the ext2 partition, and all the content of the haret-paket on the fat32 partition with the startup.txt!

kernel panic - not syncing: No init found.
Rebooting in 7 seconds...

@Insestito: You are on the wrong way.
Maybe I should make a video on how to do this?

Yes please....

Will need some time for an explaining vid, though you could also try to follow links in main thread. A lot of people got it running after trying it several times.

I followed all the instructions correctly.
but when I open haret.exe loaded and is on the line KERNEL PANIC ....

Ok thanx indeed for trying to get this running. I think I will have to get a blackstone to get it work. If anyone else want to give it a try then go for it.

i still interested in the project and i'm trying to get it to work, by using different kernels but it always stucks on the black screen and android don't show up!
i dont know where is the problem?!? is there any command that can i add to the startup to get the log file of the booting or someting?!?

[27.05.2010 Neopeek][ANDROID Froyo + Eclair + Ion] ext2-filesystems - NoSquash

Hi all,
just wanted to let you know that i succeeded in putting Android on EXT2 of internal memory.
As I am also involved in Projects like MeeGo, Bada & Others you may contribute to this builds and help me making this builds better. I will post all Project updates here but as stated above I will more frequently visit my own website due to the other Projects. If you need urgent support in this builds you may leave me a message on my website.
Please have a look at my website if you are interested in contributing.
My Website: Contribute Android
UPDATE 27.05.2010: View original article: Android Froyo Eclair Ion Builds
Why moving to ext2 filesystem and leaving root-filesystem contained in squash / image files?
A squashed / imaged root filesystems had to be unsquashed til now if you ever wanted to make changes in them! Therefore all files could be placed directly into the root of your memory (commonyl FAT32).
ext2 is a linux-only filesystem and you will have to get some tricky tools to get it read in Windows. But in Linux you have now the possibility to write directly into files or even update the filesystem as you want. Possible scenarios are placing archives into it to update Android and so on.
We think that until now a lot of users had problems with the squash filesystem and expect to contribute more users to Android-Porting with ext2. Squashfstools won't be needed any more.
If you are an unexperienced user or don't know how to get a virtual system with Ubuntu running:
Don't hesitate to ask us in the communiyt for help. Now let's start:
Step 1: Partitioning your memory!
Please install Gparted in Ubuntu and partition your internal memory (Diamond) or SD-Card (other devices) as seen below in the screenshot (1 x Fat32, 1x ext2, 1x linux-swap):
{

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Step 2: Extracting files onto ext2
* sudo umount /media/disk-1 /*Notice: this could also be something like /media/disk or /media/disk1223-dsf232 etc.! You have to locate the ext2 filesystem which you have partitioned above */
* sudo mkfs.ext2 /dev/sdb2
* sudo mkdir /media/neopeek
* sudo mount -t ext2 /dev/sdb2 /media/neopeek
* sudo tar -xzvf ~/Desktop/neopeek_android.tar.gz -C /media/neopeek /* Alternatively: Neopeek_Android_2.1.tar.gz oder Neopeek_Android_Froyo.tar.gz */
* sudo umount /media/neopeek
Step 3: Extracting files onto FAT32
Download HARET-Paket.zip including latest Kernel. Extract the contents directly onto the root of the FAT32-Partition. That'S it! Unplug your device / sd-card and run Android by executing "HARET.EXE".
Download Android Froyo Eclair Ion
So that's my birthday gift for myself and for you. If anyone wanna make me a gift then move to my site and register / connect to get the latest updates by mail before they appear here and to support my upcoming website!
[/B]
Thanks goes to: XDAndroid-Project, Balsat for the latest builds and many others. You know who you are!
Build notices: Based on XDAndroid's and Balsat's autobuild service for rootfs and kernel. Special thanks go to Balsat for introducing EXT2
Android Ion has buggy WiFi but runs like Myn's Donut!
Android 2.1 runs better for me on ext2. It's the XDAndroid build. On ext2 I can watch videos without stuttering. It's a little bit smoother for me. Test it out!
Android Froyo: This is for the freaks of you! Unproductive / Instable but worth a try hrhrhrrr!
Again i will state this here that it is clear for everyone: This builds are not mine cause I think some of you may think so. The build rootfs is made by Balsat but I have written an tutorial for you and republished builds so that you can get it working with EXT2. The HARET-Packet is modified by me as I couldn't find one from Balsat. Also I will provide you with support / help on how to partition your memory correctly. Especially windows users and beginners will need this support. In the next days / weeks I will port / cook further Android builds on my own and again this will be EXT2.
This thread is intended for introducing EXT2 for all of you who didn't know that it was possible. I either didn't knew it and no one informed me about this. Sure, I inform you!
For anyone having problems with partitioning: Try using fdisk command in console! This should look like this for your $GB internal memory or SD card with equal capacity:
sudo umount /dev/sdb1 or /dev/sdc1 (also sdb2 / 3 if exist)
sudo fdisk /dev/sdb
Press "d" to delete partitons
Select "1" (redo this if you already had mislucked tries with selecting "2" and "3")
Press "n" -> then "p" -> then "1" -> press "enter" -> type "600" or type "+1500M" -> press "enter"
Press "t" -> press "1" -> press "b" -> press "w"
Now you should have partitioned a FAT32 and can use GPARTED to create ext2 and linux-swap (notice: linux-swap-creation only needed for future builds and for testing. No need to create it if you don't wanna test)

Nice job! Well done
With beta2 I have cleaned up the fastboot scripts alot & general cleaning up of the scripts.
Is this the method for unrooting the HTC and return to stock roms? Like it is done when executing the ruu.exe in windows.
You should add a prerequisites section.
Not everybody has wine installed be default.

Just one question quickly. Say I extract the rom.zip from one of the official 2.1 RUU's - will it be flashable in such a way that I don't lose my custom recovery image? In other words, is the SPL removed?

That's normal if you are just seeing the loading screen. You have to hit enter on the script just before it dissapears. I'm working on a better solution.
Sent from Steve Job's Android Dungeon with my HTC Hero
Ah, I see. I already tried to hit enter at that point, and it didn't find it - must have not been copied over yet. However, at the same time, I manually watched the temporary directory as it was being created and I didn't see the rom.zip file appear, from start to finish. Has it worked for you on Mac yet? Never the less, I achieved what I wanted with Windows...one of the very little things I can achieve with it
Keep up the good work, really great script.
Mr P.
Hello,
I have a problem with OpenRUU explained on modaco forum
Edit : It's OK, goldcard issue
Thank
Will this work if the RUU is not working ?
Hi,
Will openRUU extract a rom form the RUU to work on my hero if the RUU is not working in the exe mode on windows and giving signature error (even with goldcard).
I have a stock rom 2.73.405.66 and a custom recovery ClockWokMod 2.0.1.3 and I have not been able to downgrade to 2.73.405.5 using the "RUU_Hero_HTC_WWE_2.73.405.5_WWE_release_signed_NoDriver.exe" file with the latest HTC sync running and 2 different goldcards. Always a signature error.
Will openRUU work using the same RUU exe and my hero ?
Thanks,
Sean.

thx mate..
Sign of a noob: I thought I knew what I was doing
Okay, ran the script as directed. It fell down a couple of times, so I altered a line in 1extractrom.sh to point to scripts/linux/cptoworkingdir.sh instead of scripts/cptoworkingdir.sh, then added a trailing "/" to the adb-linux push line in scripts/linux/desire.sh, after which it progressed smoothly and worked fine.
The phone boots okay into fastboot, recovery and into the OS. At least, I assume it boots okay...it certainly makes all the right beeps and buzzes. I can't be sure it's working okay because.....the screen is completely blank.
Not a flicker of life. I know it boots okay into fastboot, because I can connect to it with fastboot on my Ubuntu box, but I can't see a darned thing on the Desire's screen. No little red circle at first power-on. No boot screens or animation. Nothing.
So...what did I do wrong? Am I missing something obvious?
HTC Wildfire is not listed as an option, is it supported by the tool?
I was wondering the same thing it would be great if this works on the Wildfire.
Well, to be honest if this is using Wine then it is pretty useless.
Anyway, does it work on the HD2 Leo ??

Android on HTC Touch Pro Problem

Hi,
I want to install Android on my HTC Touch Pro and I want to also do that Dual Boot program. Problem is that I can't get android to work.
I downloaded Android, and it is not installing well. After I boot, the top bar of the Android comes, but it seems all grainy, and my mobile restarts :/ I tried changing to a different RAPH startup.txt, but it just crashes in the middle -.-
Pics: (sorry, they are HUGE)

Any ideas anybody?!
Don't try changing to a different startup.txt! Make sure you're using the right file for your phone model. You could also try simply redownloading XDANDROID.
Which RAPH do you have?
Perhaps you need to read the FAQ.
Also, 1) don't take huge pics and post them to a thread - resize them and provide links if anything, although the pics seem useless TBH. 2) post in the build thread, don't create a new thread. Thanks.
@Ben_duder
I downloaded so many lol
@arrrgh
Thanks for that FAQ page, I know I have a RAPH100 now
1. Didn't notice how big they were until I posted them
2. Link to thread pls
Thanks for the help till now every1
EDIT: My download doesn't have RAPH100, but RAPH, RAPH500 and RAPH800 -.-
Is RAPH equivilant to RAPH100?
EDIT2: Ok, so i finally got a RAPH100 one, and it was installing. The last message was 'mp_dma : busy'
It kept on going after a bit, until screen calibration, i didn't even have the time to calibrate, as it kept on going.
Only to get 'stuck' on mp_dma : busy...again
Whilst writing this, it started again....only to get 'stuck'.....AGAIN...on mp_dma : busy....AGAIN!!
Is it normally like that? Does this site have live shat or smthn? Or can some1 PM their MSN/Skype so I can have 'live help' lol
Yes, it is "normal". What shouldn't be normal is the fact that you can't find the RAPH100 startup in the full bundle from THIS thread(for FroYo) or THIS thread (for Gingerbread). Keep in mind, FroYo is more complete and Gingerbread is still in alpha stages even though it seems more "stable" than FroYo.
Additionally, if you just want to be able to boot, the magic number we are looking for is 10 minutes. However, if you aren't getting to the XDAndroid boot animation, this might mean you aren't doing something right. Also, you'll need to grab the ts-calibration file for your device from either thread and put it in the same folder as haret
Hmm, I seem to have got it to work. It look me around 10 minutes to complete It seems ok (I downloaded the new XDAndroid from the official Wiki page). All works fine, incl. camera and Wi-Fi.
Now, I want to do the dual Boot thing. I have the exe downloaded, but now its a new set of CAB and EXT files. I'm going to opt for what seemes to be the newer version (v 1.0.6.0) but when i extract that and open a the file, I get 5 new files
Gen.Y DualBOOT QVGA v1.0.6.0 - Storage Card.cab
Gen.Y DualBOOT VGA v1.0.6.0 - Internal Storage.cab
Gen.Y DualBOOT VGA v1.0.6.0 - Storage Card.cab
Gen.Y DualBOOT WQVGA v1.0.6.0 - Storage Card.cab
Gen.Y DualBOOT WVGA v1.0.6.0 - Storage Card.cab
no idea what to do next.
If you have a RAPH100 use Gen.Y DualBOOT VGA v1.0.6.0 - Storage Card.cab. If you have a DIAM100 use Gen.Y DualBOOT VGA v1.0.6.0 - Internal Storage.cab

Yeh i'll do that.
And I understood the Internal Storage and Storage card bit.
Also, I seem to get A LOT of lag when I play a game, is it normal? Probs coz the phone ain't too power full maybe
I did it, and it works well, it just tells me Android missing :S :S
Is haret in anything other than the root of the microSD? If not, it won't pick it up. There is a trick to get it to recognize the build in something other than the root of the microSD but you'll need to check in that thread where you got the dualboot program.
Yea the dualboot program is really a WinMo issue. You need to set the registry entry for it to work correctly.
But since it's not an Android or even an XDAndroid issue, I'd prefer you to post Gen.Y related questions in the correct section of the forum. Thanks.
@R^7Z
Haret is in Storage Card/bootand. And I forgot where I got the dualboot program though lol.
@arrrghhh
First of all, I'll thank you yest, as I'm restricted to 5 per day.
Also, link to where I can find this thread/section.
Thanks for all the help guys
In short if you want to use that program, you will need to visit the thread where you got the dualboot program from OR push everything up a level. In other words, cut and paste everything under the andboot folder to the root of the microSD and it should work like a charm, my friend!

What was the reason they told us to do an andboot folder then?
Well aside from "organization", not much else
I honestly only run one build because it is my preference to do so. Most who know what they are doing (or at least more than I do), use the rel_path=andboot option. "6 one way, half a dozen the other" is what I say.

Well, apart from the fact that I understood NOTHING from that previous post, I want to say that it worked like a charm I cut all the files in the andbooot file to the right place, and what do you know, it worked!
I have a tiny thing to ask you guys Its laggy, and I mean VERY laggy. When i play games, like Angry Birds and such, it jumps, makes it tedious and not really fun to use. I do understand that my phone wasn't built for Android, and that Android needs higher system specs then Win Mobile (it also lags a bit on Win Mobile LOL) but maybe there is a fix to that.
When I check phone settings, it says I'm running Android version 2.2.2, which I think is the latest version, so maybe going to a previous version will make it better. I'm ready to take a small downgrade, only if I will still be able to use all my stuff (3G, camera, wi-fi etc.) I'm hoping to make Android my permanent OS, but with it being this laggy, I'd rather not.
Any ideas

I have some questions:
. Does this ROM support swap partition? With the GIO we'll need this feature.
. Do I need to backup my SD card as this is the first time I use darktremor and from the look of thing I need to partition my SD card right? Can you elaborate on how to use this feature?
Thanks.

it not support swap yet.
for using a2sd darktremor you need to make partition on your sdcard first before flashing, after you finish flashing just run a2sd cachesdreset from adb.
i think it's better if you included how to use it....

@ Froyo for making Android for Omina2
@ to all for your contribution....

This thread I will show you how to make ANDROID work with SHC-M710/715 T*Omina2 Korean (GT-i8000 Omina2) step by step with figures; If you like it, just say thanks to me and above guys.
****** Special Note: This version is not I8000 Andrews adaptation. But of SHW-M110S change,
Step1) Format My storage with 3 partitions (Fat32, Ext2, Swap linux) by using MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition
Based on below sizeit is important for next step)
Fat32 : 5980MB
Ext2 (Linux): 1500MB
Swap Linux: 345MB

Step2) Using Ghost32 Ver11.5.1
Disk-Partition-From Image
A long time, need some patience - about 10mins
3) Important step (you must have DOWNLOADED the ghost image and files HERE!!! or Mediafire and Rapidshare )
- copy all files in folder name Startup file to the root of My storage (Fat32)
- using ghost32.exe to ghost 0627.GHO or M715_Android.GHO image files to Ext2 Linux
******* M715_Android.GHO is optimize with default English language after boot
=> after done all above step just boot in WM6.x.x to run Haret.exe from the root of My Storage and waiting...
DISCOVERY yourself with M715 Android OS....
It is very easy for you to change OS language from Chinese to English by follow symbol of setting (first option is language selection)

Suggested software for increase battery life:
- setcpu_2.24-donate.apk (set CPU min 133MHz-Max 800MHz)
- Easy_Battery_Saver_Task_Killer_2.4.1.apk (select intelligent mode)
- Advance Task Killer Free/Pro
please post your info about battery usage here:
like this image:
in my case: - display 30%, sell standby 41% (time without signal 12%), android system 11%, Phone idle 28% dailer 13%
With this apps installed, your HP can standby about ~1.5days, and normal usage (phone+sms+a bit wifi) about 1days. It is still lower than WM6.5 (standby 4days, normal use 3days)
Im sorry for that question but im not sure is that version will work on european I8000 Gt ?
Regards
Plz post some details about stability etc.
