T32 GPS Rom (Daxian) - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

I am opening a new thread because nobody replied to the gps issue some people have after flashing the Daxian t32 gps version phone with the "Dixian_x999_T32.zip" file.
(forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-390574.html)
Does anybody know how to activate the internal gps?
Does anybody have a rom that works with the gps version of that phone? - That would be great!
I tried several gps drivers (gpsmod and others) and none worked. I tried some standalone applications to talk to the gps as well as TomTom7 and google maps and none worked.
Somehow the gps connects to the satellite and gets the correct time stamp (TomTom with gpsmod driver) but it does not get any coordinates.
Is there a missing entry in the registry that activates the gps?
Help is appreciated, somone has to know how!

Artemis problem with GPS

I have got here a upgraded Artemis and it just does not want to work properly with GPS. All the satellites are in the north point and it never gets a valid signal. I have already tried to flash it to the black & blue ROM but it still happens. The navi software i am using is TomTom 6.032.
Anyone got an idea what to do? It never works, not even on the street.

With GPS of my SPV M650 I fought 2-3 weeks
I have more another program-but these basic = think this is enough
I have done all of that but nothing helps. I simply can't get my GPS to work. IT shows me that all the satellites are in the north position and that is about it. I have changed the firmware and i have used all the fixes recommended here including GPS reset with no success. When i connect my BT received it works fine but that is not the point of having inbuilt GPS
I really hope someone can help me to get this damn phone working. Would it work better with WM05? If so has anyone got a link to it?
Thanks again to everyone helping in here.
I haved some problem=one satelit in north!
my problem was in contacts of antena!!!
Try to connect outside antena(back side connector!) i think you have some problem like my
http://rapidshare.com/files/21643937/Artemis-Inside.zip
On 6 page at right+up side you can see your gps antena
On 9 page you can see your contacts(problema!!!)
Try to make good connection!!!
If you speak french:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=341952/#6
Otherwise, i'll explain in english cause I had the same problem:
I tried with the first Kulbutor patch (in my link)
If you install it just after the flash; there is no problem.
Moreover, if you are using Orange with AGPS, it works also. after having install the Orange.cab
Be carefull you must wait this (or these) install(s) before running tomtom; otherwise, it won't work
Hoping it will help you,
Regards
Thanks for the help. There is no Link in your Link. The link does not work at all. Please repost it. Thanks

GPS problem with GPS cam
Hello,
I just installed the artemis touch 4.02 WWE on my XDA I orbit. Everythings works fine, also Tomtom and visualGPS. But the GPS cam seems to be not able to start built in GPS when launching camera for GPS photo. The first time when I started the GPS cam, a pop up appeared with message "initializing GPS" or something like that, and I cancelled it by tapping cancel button. Now GPS cam is not working any more. Will this fixes solve my problem?
Thanks a lot in advance.

TomTom GPS data stream problem

Hello Guys,
I manage to upgrade Vogue to WM6.1 + GPS.
When I run Google Maps it work fine. Show me exactly where I am.
When I run TomTom from AstroGPSLauncher, the TomTom showed me that it found 7 satellites.
But I do NOT see the road.
When I try to enter direction I get an error message related to the GPS data.
It is as if the GPS data is wrong. I think TomTom try to put me in a different part of the world and its completely confused.
Any Idea what I did wrong?
Thanks.

You forgot to tell us what version of TT and what map you are using!
It's unlikely to be a hardware or rom problem otherwise Google Maps would not work.
-GT
I'm using version 7.45 .
Today I also installed it on my friends phone (HTC Touch Sprint) and it was working OK.
So the TomTom version is OK, the Vogue work OK with GoogleMaps and MS Live.
What can be the reason that TomTom GPS is confused on my machine?
I also installed GPS Tuner and I saw the same problem:
The location jump all the time. Sometimes it put in in China...
Very strange....
Can someone think about something I did wrong???

hey this has happened to me also!
from a similar and different problem.
at first, after a hard reset, the gps doesnt work well also it keeps searching until failed for several times. then i go for quick gps. wa-la there you go! then after i got the gps signal, the quick gps app said the data is expired so i had to download again and i did. after i finished downloading, the gps signal vanished completely.
for 2 days i tried to get the gps signal but it always failed miserably.
then on weekend, i`went to the hills, in one of the restaurant there i tried the gps again, and in just 3 seconds i got the signal!!! when i went back home, the gps has worked again until now.
i still dont know what exactly happen thou, but it might help to go to a higher ground to find a fix.
Try download the NEW version 3.2.0 Google Map at m.google.com from you device.
Choose Google Map. Download it and install... Give it a try~
Or check if you have FM Radio installed. If you have it, uninstall it and try again
Thanks For the replys i really appreciate them..
i installed new version of google maps
3.2.0 at least now it shows my location
within 80 meters.. before was within 200...
but still keep saying seeking GPS satellites..
about the FM radio.. that came installed with the phone..
so i dont think i can unistalled it...
thanks any ways..

Can't get GPS to work (I think i have tried everything!!!)

Hi all,
A few days ago i received by new TP2. (Dutch Unbranded)
everything worked fine till it tried to use the buid in GPS.
it just doesn't connect!
things i have tried to solve it:
HTC's GPS Hotfix:
http://www.htc.com/www/SupportViewNews.aspx?dl_id=570&news_id=165
Did not work
HardSPL
Rhodium-HardSPL_V1_20R2.exe (of course )
GPS Patch:
Downgrade radio software to 3.44.25.27 (i had .30 before that)
ITDev Solutions GPS Patch1.1.CAB
No change at all
Custom ROM: EnergyROM Standard M.25
It was nice to see WM6.5 in action but this also did not change my problem with my GPS.
could this be faulty hardware?
is there any more i could try...
How long should i stay in the backyard waiting for a signal?
Using ChartCross GPSTest i once got a tiny yellow bar as reception but i never got more than that...
It just keeps showing "GPS Starting up".
the HTC GPS Tool opens COM4 with baudrate: 57600 (does baudrate matter?)
and reports it's using 16 sattalites but has 0 fixed satellites
Thanks for any tips that may help me out!
Try baudrate of 4800 - that's the setting that I have always used - silly question, but did make sure that your "location" setting is on? Make sure it is -these settings work on my HTC Touch on Verizon - hope they translate to your phone/system

by location setting do you mean AGPS Service?
if i enable this it tells me i's unable to connect to the AGPS Server.
i have to Connections: T-Mobile Internet and T-Mobile MMS.
please help
hmm i know what you mean now...
Start>Settings>Personal>Phone>Services
there are a few options in the list but nothing about GPS or Location:
Call Barring
Caller ID
Call Forwarding
Call Wainting
Voice Mail and Text Messages
My provider is T-Mobile NL.
is it the ROM i am running now?
i could try to restore the original software...
Thanks

Did you try with GPSGate ?
Download it, see if it can detect your GPS and let you use it with any nav software (it creates a virtual COM port you will use with nav sotware).

Hope it helps.

[Q] A Question about GPS.....

hey i have a question. can anyone help? i unlocked my TP2 and got the internet to work. now im trying to get the GPS and MMS to work. ive tried everything but to no avail? The TP2 is running on ATT. can anyone help? Please? Pretty Please with Michelle Rodriguez on top?
what program are you using with gps? cant help with mms, i use tom tom and it works great.
well basically i unlocked the phone to run with ATT. it was originally a US Cellular unit. And ive gotten the data to work (finally thanks to you guys.) but i have not gotten to GPS to work. is there a certain COM setting that i need or something? MMS i have not gotten to work either. Im basically trying to set the phone up to work with ATT and im not sure what settings to use for the GPS or the MMS.
You still haven't answered the basic question of what program you are trying to get the GPS working on. Google Maps and Bing typically need no configuration in order to connect to the GPS.
One simple, free troubleshooting app is Visual GPSce (just Google it). Settings for the GPS are COM4 and 4800 baud. The app should quickly start seeing satellites once the GPS settings are entered. Otherwise you have something else going on.
I had a similar problem, and Visual GPSce did the trick for me.
