Newsrob not working? - Galaxy S I9000 Themes and Apps

Can someone please test this, It uses 'google reader' which I think is part of the Android system, but after I login with my goole account , I hit sync and no articles show up.

works fine for me.

It does work, however it seems to freeze the phone every now and then, as if it uses all processor power when it syncs and download

Download issues: stalled at "Starting download"

Hi all,
I'm having an issue where i can't download anything from the market. It just stuck when starting download. I even left apps trying to download overnight - and still nothing.
I already cleared data from all the possible places: download manager, market, google apps, etc. Everything else works fine. I have access to the internet, gmail, gtalk, Gmaps. I killed a task killer, powered off a few times and all the same
I'm running stock, version 003.
What are my options? Please help.
I had that problem with my G1 on TMO, but it hasn't been an issue with my EVO and Sprint. It could be poor service. Have you tried it over WiFi?

What account did you set up for your google account? I had this problem when I first got my phone because I did not use a gmail account. I figured a google account was good enough.
It isn't.
I'd start with troubleshooting your default mail account on phone. Your gmail must be your default. And...lucky...if it isn't...you get to do a factory reset.
That is what I had to do. Lesson learned.
thanks guys, i think i fixed it.
I killed startup auditor and started google talk. Now all works fine. I never had GTalk running and never had any issues with the market. I guess i let gtalk eat my battery life from now on..... Unchecking autosign in doesn't help. It always shows in the running apps.

Market and the Galaxy

I used to use a Sony Ericsson X10a running Android 1.6 and managed to score a Gaslaxy (sweet!) however Android market still thinks my handset is an X10a and downloads from it fail. Google are unable to provide any answers - has anyone else had similar issues? Any and all help would be awesome as this is driving me bonkers
Do a reboot, force close and clear data. Then try again.
Thanks for the suggestion - I did a full factory reset and that didnt make an iota of difference, I'm still getting "download was unsuccessful, please try again". the funny thing is that APTKOR works fine even though appbrain fails.....
Try logging into youtube with your gmail account. Then try market again
Go to the market website, log in there. Once logged in, you can change your settings, choose galaxy s is your current device.
Let me know if it works.

Google Talk with multiple accounts - problem!

Hi all!!
Got a problem with Google Talk and would like to disable one account from using Google Talk.
Home Gmail account works fine and want to use it, but my work gmail account has it disabled server side and my Galaxy Nexus keeps popping up "error - cannot logon".
Its really annoying!!!! There is a sign off option, i do it and it still tries to auto logon. There is nothing under accounts/sync.
Any ideas?
I'm close to removing talk and using whatsapp/ping or something.
This has been a problem eversince talk was released, it picks te first account which has been setup on the phone as default! try search the forum there was a workaround.
Otherwise, remove you accounts, en setup the one you want to use first then the second, this should work.
Talk hasn't been updated since quite a long time, maybe they will update it sometime to make it able to switch accounts.
Think this was put in as a request to google already.
Also think google messenger from G+ app will replace google talk in the future as a chat application .
Thanks for that!! Will prob switch to G+ chat instead then.

[Q] Spotify

Anyone having trouble using this app? It downloads and installs fine but logging in just loops and never goes anywhere.
Edit: Installed Clean GB and it works. CM 9 issue or Spotify needs to update to 4.0.3?
I've been using it for about 2 months now on CM9 and it works fine. I had the same problem, initially, but all it's trying to do is login through Facebook (owned by the same guy). After you link it to Facebook, it'll work, and then if you don't want to share on Facebook, just change it in settings.
The app itself sucks compared to the PC version. You can't sort by artist, album, etc. and it lists any song you "star" by date added, no matter what, but you can at least search for new music and it will sync to your existing database. Just wish they would sort out the sorting function (ha!).
Edit: I think it may be due to the fact that Facebook sync doesn't work for ICS (yet) so it acts like you're not logged into Facebook even after you do through Spotify.
Hrm ok. Maybe I'm missing this link thing you mention. I'll look some more.
OK, did a fresh install of B1 and it works now. Thanks for your help.
No problem

Removing Chrome will break functionality

Hey guys. After playing around a bit I wondered why Skype and account settings suddenly stopped working. After a while playing around I figured what was happening.
Since I'm not a fan of Chrome, I decided to remove it, like I always do. Don't want unnecessary stuff on my device.
After reinstalling, it was possible again to add a new account, also to start Skype. Seem it is bound to Chrome web view somehow. The alternative internal Android web view don't seem to work with these settings.
Does anyone have an idea how to safely remove Chrome but keep functionality?
Disabled the chrome app on my phone with no issues.
I'm also not seeing this issue.

Just disable chrome
I did. This also results in not being able to add a new Google account, or simply start Skype.
Only if Chrome is installed AND active it will work. Can you guys try again and report back?

Just ran Skype and added a Google account. No problem, no Chrome. I'm wondering if another app you installed is getting involved.

I uninstall chrome, no issue at all bro. All working fine.

Just have a look. And no: if I do a clean install and have nothing else installed other than Skype, it acts the same way. This is where I figured out why this was happening.
Edit: even if I don't install Skype any anything else: if I just deactivate chrome I can't add any Google accounts.
