By favorites do you mean the bookmarks?
Open the browser, then menu, then bookmarks, then menu, then delete.
This will reflect on your bookmarks/favorites widget as well.
As far as I know, you cannot create folders in the application drawer/list. You can sort by list instead of grid though, if it makes it easier.
i was looking for this too! thanks!
AFAIK there is no method of doing this. It could probably be possible with a custom launcher though and it would be pretty nice to have.

are folders for apps/games/utils possible?

Hey,
im trying to do a nice theme and what id ideally like is the option to have on the main page to have shortcuts to folders containing just specific items such as games/utils/general apps instead of linking to the full app catalog and having to sort through.
at the min im just using one of the main pages thats full of games and it looks untidy so id like to sort it out
cheers
Touch the screen for a prolonged period of time and it should pop up a menu with "folders" in it
As above or get Smart Shortcuts from the market....
or search for apps organizer in the market, this allows you to create folder and add any app you want to them. from there you can use these folders as widgets
there's this "folderorganizer" in market...... lite is free, but pay for full features...

[Q] How To Customize Folder Icons

First of all I apologize if there is already a thread for this. 30 minutes and about 200 google searches later I have not found what I'm looking for.
Basically what I want to do is create custom folder icons for the folders i have on one of my homescreens. For the sake of organization and saving room, I've grouped app shortcuts into folders, but all the folders look the same. I would like to change the folder icons. I downloaded Better Cut thinking that would help but maybe I'm just not doing it right. Any suggestions or tips will be greatly appreciated.
Let me know if screenshots are needed to further explain what exactly I'm trying to do.
Setup:
Fresh 3.3
AmonRA Recovery
King's #11
You using Launcherpro? That lets you change icons, if not you can try Desktop Visualizer. I just use Smart Shortcuts then create a shortcut to my shortcut lol
I've been using "Apps Organizer" by Fabio Collini. It includes icons and works really well. Instead of creating folders, it allows you to categorize your apps and then add the categories to your home screen as a widget. It also lets you "star" items, so that you can have only the apps you use most often in each category be listed first, or be the only things displayed.
There is a minor delay when you click on categories that have a lot in them, but I find this a great way to manage my apps.
Hope that helps.
Apps Organizer is doing exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the help.

[Q] Desire Z - How to arrange apps AFTER I added them to folders?

I created some folders on the desktop and added some apps there. Is there a way to re-arrange the apps inside the folder? When I add a new app, it will always be last and I couldn't find a way to re-sort or at least sort them alphabetically.
Do you know something I don't, or is this another HTC software failure and I should search for another folder app in the market?
No reply, so I guess it's not possible to configure the folders after created, right?
I don't recall being able to config folders much other than renaming. This is not Windows.
This ain't no htc software failure.....believe me. That's like blaming amtrack because your alarm clock didn't go off.

I like 'app folders'

Sense Home Widget Issues

Hello,
My Sense Home Widget is not working properly. Pinned items disappear. Also, how am I suppose to add new folders (and apps) to the widget? Every time I remove something some other app automatically gets placed in there. I figured a work around with apps by creating a folder with a current item and the new item then removing the one I don't want... but that is a stupid design. I suppose I could do the same thing and recreate all the folders, but you think it would be easier... why cant I just drag them from another home screen. Anyone else having these issues?

Sense Home is designed to automatically populate with the apps that you use most in the particular location you're in. If you want to use it, then just set your locations and use your phone as you normally would in each location and the widget will learn which apps you use where and populate the widget accordingly.
If you want total control, then just place shortcuts directly on your home screens, but you won't have the location-specific feature anymore.
I understand it is meant to auto populate, but that doesn't account for pinned items disappearing or the lack of an intuitive way for manually adding items to that widget.
