EVO Battery Compatibility - EVO 4G Accessories

Just a quick question. I bought the Hong Kong 2700MAH battery with the back and it is better than my stock battery. But now I want more.
Since I already have a back for an extended battery if I get the 3500mah Siedio battery for the HTC Droid Eris will that work with my EVO? I know the Incredible and the Eris share the same battery. So in theory the Eris should work with the EVO correct?
Thanks!

why not just buy 3 batteries on ebay for 25 bucks total
Because who wants to run around with three batteries in their pockets?

I wouldn't buy from those manufacturers if I were you. Check out batteryboss.org. Some guy evaluated those battery capacity claims and a lot of them are flat out lies.
I have been a Seidio customer for years and have always being very pleased with their extended battery solutions for all my devices. My experience is that they did extend the battery life of my devices significantly. Without a reputable protocol and some raw data I will trust my previous experience over "some guys" who did "some tests".

few weeks ago i got a battery from ebay for $10 from the hero forums, its marketed as the touch pro 2 battery, just threw it in today and it fits fine. 2000mAh too.

Sorry to tell you this, but...
http://batteryboss.org/ These guys are testing a variety of aftermarket batteries for their true capacities, and the one you purchased is included n their test. They only got 1100 mAh out of the actual battery, under the name TP2 Andida, new in their chart.
Good thing you only spent ten bucks, though.
No kidding, the TP2 battery fits? That's the EXACT same battery the hero uses!!
Luckily, I bought two of them, and just got a TP2 as my work phone. That means I suppose, that I have four batteries
btw, those batteries probably aren't 2000mA, but they're nearly as good if not a little better than stock, and for ten bucks each, not too bad.
EDIT - Duh, I see you said you got it from the Hero forums.
Seidio hasn't released their 3500 mAh extended battery for the Evo yet. I'm patiently waiting, as I bought that battery for my hero. I went from charging every day, to every other day.

I like what they did with the rear door. I hope they bring out a hard-case to also work with this battery. To keep it then, they could just cut out the back of the case in the middle where the battery extrudes. The rear cover will provide significant protection anyways.
the seidio batteries are awesome but they are worthless if you dont have the extended case that goes with it.. id just wait for the 3500mah for the evo instead of the one for the eris cause your gonna have the case problem
I wish they would add two more mm to the battery and do 4500mah because at that point the little bit of bulk added doesn't really matter.
/b
i wonder how hot that 3500 will get, i'd rather the 1750 and not change the dynamics of the back case.
apparently only a couple of the batteries on batteryboss come close to their rated mah, i wonder what the evo 1500mah will come in as....
what is the biggest mAh you can buy without changing the back cover? I like my EVO thin.
I believe the highest mah you can get while keeping the evo slim is the 1750 by Seidio. But for 40+ dollars I dont think an extra 250 is worth it
I just wish they would make the battery 1-1.5mm thicker and add whatever they can to that... Then we wouldn't have to change the back.
*Here's where I am horrified to find out I am the only one who's battery cover doesn't really fit on the phone*

Id just wait for the charging case thats comming out.
I wonder if the 2150mah OEM for the TP2 will fit into the evo, and I wonder how much the case will have to be extended. It is the only battery that tests at 100%.
Will the 1350 battery for the Eris work on the evo? I know the capacity is smaller, but will it fit and work?

The 2000 mAh OEM sized Andida ebay Battery for the Hero works

Pulled it out of my hero and works great in my EVO.
Better battery life and no issues so far. Any reason I shouldn't be doing this?
Has been working greta in my Hero since December.
Apparently that batter doesn't come in at 2000
more like 1150.

Seidio 3500mah question

If I remember correctly the stock battery from the TP2 and the hero works in the Evo. My question is this. I have 2 3500mah batteries that I got for my hero. Is this battery the same dimensions as the 3500mah battery that seidio makes for the Evo? I am trying to figure out if I can just order the extended battery backplate for the Evo and use that with the 2 batteries I already have or do I need to order a different battery as well.

I could of swore the dimensions were posted on seidios site.
EDIT: I guess not. I can take measurements with my caliper (in mm) if that will help?
I sent an email to seidio asking for them. I will see if they respond.
UPDATE: I just chatted online and was told that the dimensions were the same for both batteries. So I just need to order a battery cover since bought the 3500mah battery for my hero only a couple of months ago.

HTC Thunderbolt Battery in Desire HD

Does anyone know if the HTC Thunderbolt battery will work in the Desire HD once it's released ?
I was wondering this because the Thunderbolt has a 1400mAh battery compared to the desire hd's 1230 mAh one.
Both phones are nearly identical , so i was thinking it would work but i could be wrong
would like to know too
Interesting, someone reply with info!
any update ???
bump. that battery would be sweet
No, the design is different on the back unfortunately. The entire back of the phone comes off on the Thunderbolt.
That is true that the back is different but that doesnt mean that the battery doesnt fit in the DHD, i heard that the thunderbolt battery fits into the mytouch4g and the mytouch4g is just another version of the DHD. Can someone with a thunderbolt or a friend with a thunderbolt confirm that it doesnt fit in the DHD cuz the extended battery from sedio for the thunderbolt (1600 mah) would be great in the DHD

Why wouldn't sedio just release a DHD battery? :/

because DHD is not the "new & hot" item anymore and the battery drain is worse on the thunderbolt due to LTE

I dont know about thunderbolt but if you say mytouch 4g battery is same like thunderbolt, I can give the answer.
NO.
Mytouch 4g battery is not identical with desire hd. that's all
Even the HTC HD7 & Desire HD also looks the same, battery capacity is same (1230mAH) but it's NOT identical too. the connector is at the wrong side.
unless u say Inspire 4g then it's the same !!
Hmm. I would have thought that there would still be a market for an DHD battery. Weird.

[Q] Best battery for the Vibrant?

Hello.
Noob
I want to get a better-lasting battery for my vibrant.
I know that some devices by Samsung have better batteries. The Infuse, for example, have a 1850mAh battery.
Can I get the infuse battery and use it on my Vibrant? Is that possible?
(don't want anything to explode
Also, is there a battery by Samsung (it has to be OEM!) that is even higher than 1850mAh?
Thanks so much!
The best Vibrant battery is the Epic Touch 4G's 1800mah battery. It can be found at MobileCityOnline, or you can do an eBay or Google search for it. There are other, bigger batteries that require an extended battery door, but the non-Samsung batteries promising more than 1500mah are usually lying. The Epic Touch 4G's battery is made by Samsung so you know it's legitimate, and by some stroke of luck it fits in our Vibrants.

Agreed. I bought one and now using CM7. Same battery life, if not a little better, than what I had on my 1500mah battery running Froyo. love it!

By this i conclude that FROYO has a better battery life?
If this is true, it's surprising. I thought that GB and the ROMs that based on it are superior in battery life to Froyo
which is better... the oem 1800 mah or the momax 2700 mah. i don't care about thickness. im just wondering since momax is kind of a generic battery brand
if one is better then the other please send me a reliable link to it.
You can't pack more mah in the battery without physically making it bigger so anything that claims of over 2000 is a lie.
The cake is a lie.

Cerv3r, I didn't get the impression they where claiming the 2700mAh was no larger than the stock battery. I'm guessing its a double size, and since a normal sized battery can pack as much as 1800, a double could easily pack 2700.

Yes, Froyo is better. Froyo has been officially release for the Vibrant where as we are using a port from the i9000 for GB. So things are not perfect. Correct me if I am wrong...and Ive been wrong before...
Head on over to tridentcase.com and pick up the Electra series case for the Samsung Galaxy S 4g (compatible with Samsung Vibrant). Great looking case that makes your phone look awesome, protects it and comes with a 2800 mah battery. Doesn't add that much bulk either because the Vibrant is already super thin. I get a day and a half easy while using my phone under normal conditions with the battery.

With EB625152VA the original Vibrant back cover can't close
For anybody that is reading this thread, I just tried EB625152VA Epic Touch 4G's 1800mAh battery as many people here have suggested. It fits the socket and battery contacts perfectly. However, it is slightly thicker than the original EB575152LA 1650 mAh which prevents the battery cover from closing properly no matter how hard I tried to force it in. There are back covers that can accommodate this battery and even larger, but for what it's worth, I don't think the additional 150 mAh is worth it.
