[Q] Screen Sharing - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

i recently set up remote desktop viewing on my tilt 2 (stock At&t rom), and i'm curious if anyone knows of a way to share my desktops screen to my tilt 2, with a decent framerate (anything above 15fps would be great)
i imagine it will have to be over lan.
(also, i've been searching and installing programs for the last 2 days, just so everyone knows i'm actually trying and not just lazily posting questions)
thanks so much for any help
i'd also be happy to help anyone who's trying to set up remote desktop for their tilt 2 :]

T2 Remote Touch
I use T2 Remote Touch.
I don't know what the frame rate is, but there's different modes to speed up transfer. It's done via wifi and you can remote control from anywhere!
You can find it here.

wow, thanks so much, this is actually a useful program, thanks alot!

ORB

Hi Guys,
Just downloaded and installed ORB. Brilliant piece of software. Only problem being im not a techno whizz so im struggling a bit. Is the only way i can gain acces to my pc from my touch hd by using opera and opening up the orb site?
Thanks
Nichio
yes
You can ad to favorites www.mycast.orb.com
Then you don't have to type your password all the time.
It's indeed a great piece of software.
I'm streaming my satelite from home on it
Also music or movies(even vob files) he plays.
regards stef
Thanks Stef. I have already done that, just didnt know if any of the genius techies on here had came up with some kind of App if its possible.
Thanks Nichio
I am now looking into connecting my sky box to my. once i have done that would it be possible to stream that to my touch hd?
if it has an ethernet and it can stream ike my dreambox, then yes you can stream.
Open notpad and make an line with your sky box/drea,box ipadres like this 192.168.1.10/video.m3u and save it to anyname.mp4
The configure orb.
and add that mp4(video)file.
regards stef
Great Thanks.
I have another problem with orb now. i installed it and all was fine. How ever first time i tried to reboot my compter i am now missing a windows system config file. Anyway around this?
Nichio
I used Orb for a while but found it was caining my cpu randomly so had to remove it. I'm now using TVersity. The interface isn't as cool but when browsing from you mobile it's perfect cos you don't have to render loads of graphics etc. The only thing about TVersity is that you need to open ports on your router and use something like dyndns if you've not got a static wan ip.
What I liked the most was that you don't need to go through a third party website to access you stuff. I also use it to access music on my PC from my Wii.

Using sgs2 as wireless (multi) touchpad

A friend has apples multi touch pad for his macbook and it works really for general browsing/videos etc (that with a kb). I have been trying a few, none really allowed pinch to zoom. Does anybody know if its possible?
While searching, I found one called idisplay,

it extends your win7 desktop to your phone, then you can use the phoens touch screen to move around!
why use your phone as a mouse pad when you have a keyboard and mouse dedicated for your pc ?

Because sometimes its nice to be able to shut the pc down from bed
and yes im that lazy. I have my tv hooked up to my pc and i use remote
droid to control what im playing on the tv or even vlc remote.
Remote droid has the touchpad but i dont know if its multitouch.
at home my pc is hooked up to my hdtv, so when sitting on the couch my mouse doesnt work so well. I could buy a new mouse, but after using the magic pad thingy I was thinking it was much easier to move about websites and click on episodes/movies. Im not saying I will get rid of my mouse, just certain times it would be easier for me.
So far, the sonar mouse works best (anybody else?), but I think it eats up the battery.

i dont even need to touch the damn thing.
Also do you know about remote notifier? to get all your phone notifications
from your phone on your pc. thats good too if say youre phones downstairs.

Possible to use i747 as htpc?

Hey guys-
I am looking to create a sudo htpc out of my I747(ATT GS3) and have a couple of questions. Im hoping someone can answer them and/or have done the same thing as I am trying to do.
1. How does the US variant stack up in hdmi out performance compared to the i9300? Ive tried searching xda as well as youtube for the answer
2. I am also planning on connecting a couple peripherals: a bluetooth gaming controller, keyboard, and mouse for pc type browsing. What keyboard and mouse do you guys recommend for that specific purpose?
3. What kind of apps are used to connect a controller like the sixaxis controller to use for gaming( emulation and supported native games)? Also, how is the gaming performance, both visual and latency using the controller on the US variant Galaxy?
I appreciate all of the input I receive from you guys.

Remote PC

So, the note pro 12.2 is supposed to have a remote PC access app, and I am curious how it works.
I have a high end gaming laptop, and while I do not anticipate accessing my laptop and playing Battlefield 4 or Arkham Origins on it, I would like to do some RTS like Coassacks or Rise of Nations remotely.
The ability to have real time PC like access to such games is leaning me toward the possibility of buying a Surface Pro 2.
For most everything else I like the Notes. I just miss having the games like I can have on windows.
Has anyone tried out the remote PC access app?

Yes, I tried it and it works remarkably well. The response is good and you'll be able to do some basic tasks on the PC without any hassle. Didn't try graphic intensive apps like games though.
Does RemotePC work over different networks (can I access my home computer from a coffee shop)? And any comment on how RemotePC compares to other Remote Desktop apps (specifically Jump Desktop)?
Also is there any pressure sensitivity support in RemotePC?
Thank you
Full screen games will not work. You could try splashtop instead

It's OK minor lag to be expected tried photoshop for a laugh works but hard only thing that's a pain is the scroll bar appearing on screen even if zoomed out does not help on windows 8

yes you can, if you leave your PC open. TeamViewer is very good also, but dunno witch one is better...
Does nobody know about Splashtop? It actually even has gaming support. I used to play Dragon Age on my TF700T through it. (but I do recall something about a monthly fee.)

I cannot say much for splashtop since I have not used it, however teamviewer is excellent for getting to your desktop from anywhere, I have used it for months and it's always there and always works. If you have a bluetooth keyboard and mouse you basically have a 12 inch laptop with great battery life.
I would however look into other options for gaming, since by default teamviewer will always route outside of your local network unless configured not to, and this causes some delay determined by the quality of the connection between you and the desktop.
If you use Google Chrome for your browser on your PC then, you can use Chrome Remote Desktop from any Android Device or Chrome Browser. It probably would not work for games but it works great for anything I have used it for plus it is free.

You're right, Google Remote Desktop seems to be working great, the performance is outstanding when compared to other products, including Samsung's Remote PC.
However, there is a seriuos con. Google Product does not support neither S-Pen nor touchscreen input on the remote device, only touch <-> mouse emulation. In result, using it on such a tablet as ours isn't very comfortable, even if there are no performance issues.
ATM Samsung's Remote PC works too sluggish for me, even on a stable connections. Plus, more than one PC cannot be connected for free. Hope Google will add functionality of real touch input emulation soon.
I use the RD that came installed with the tablet and as said previously it works pretty well. Of course is best for office applications maybe not for games.
Teamviewer worked surprisingly well, played latest Civilization on my note pro with a BT-mouse and pretty bad wifi on a hotell a couple of months ago.
I too use Google Remote Desktop. I have it on my Desktop and Laptop and it works perfectly for my needs.
I used Microsoft RD client, it has good support of mouse and keyboard, using the s-pen as a mouse is great. Not for games though

This is the perfect setup for one of my PCs running Windows 8. It's almost seamless and works great with the touch controls.
I used Microsoft RD at my old job site. It was fantastic to remoting in for quick tech jobs/scripts that needed to be pushed out to specific clients or to pull something over to the sharepoint that was stored on a network drive. As a side note, for sharepoint access SharePlus is phenominal and was worth the investment. As for gaming, take a look at Kainy or Moonlight (nvidia card series 600 only.) both of those will stream very well through your network and even over WAN.
I use also Microsoft RDP because the multisession feature is great. But with my SM-P900 I can it only use with a 5.1.1 ROM.

[Q] Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 hdmi/mhl questions

Hello all! sorry my first post is a question.
I have a GT3 8.0, and love it. It is the first tablet and Android device I have owned and it's taking a little while to get used to. I have rooted it and installed arshull's great galatab kernel and rom, which made a huge difference and made it much more like a pc in terms of flexibility and modability.
One element has me totally stumped, and that is the whole mhl/hdmi thing.
Essentially I have full screen pauses when watching movies and the Eurosport Player and other streaming services. I had a similar problem on my PC which I also have connected to my TV and solved it by changing the 'refresh rate' of the GPU. Homever I'm having problems figuring out the same thing on my tab. I've tried overclocking and underclocking to see if that changes how it stutters but nothing. I'm hoping you guys and gals cab answer a couple questions for me?
1. What does the tab 3 8.0 output through mhl? is is 1080p or 720p and what is the refresh rate?
2. Can either of these be changed either app or kernel level?
3. Does the tab draw two separate screens or just its display which is then sent out tot the tv ( ive tried benchmarkimg with the mhl in and out and there is only a slight difference)?
4. my telly is not the newest and is limited to 50hz. Does this make a difference?
Any and all help is greatfully received. I've been programming and messing about with computers for years so a more technical solution is achievable, but I was hoping that someone had already done it!
Regards,
John
