Let us know it they are an actual 6ft if you remember.

Good find. I bought the 3 feet micro usb cables from them and they work great.
There is no need to buy more than one hdmi cable unless you have more than one Evo. Not many devices uses those kind of micro hdmi plugs.

Are cords created equally? Reason I ask is because I ordered one from protechgroup. I needed an extra long one and they had a nice price on a 15". Anyone cared to opine?
-mobile superinformation highway surfing 8)

let me know the quality, I might order some myself.

Quality seems fine. Goldplated on both ends. At first I thought it charged slow but that was me being on it. We'll see
-mobile superinformation highway surfing 8)

I ordered one from meritline before when it was on sale. This seems like the same cable. It works fine for charging wise but doesn't seem to do data. Keeps showing up on the computer as unrecognized device but with the htc cables and the one I had for the moto droid it works fine. Didn't mind much I use it now as an extra charging cable I only paid 1 dollar and free shipping when I had ordered it.

Mini hdmi cable, where to find??????

I have searched high and low for these hdmi cables for he EVO and have bought a few but once received, they were where still to big, way to big. Has anyone found these cables????? If so can you please tell me where. I think its stupid sprint didn't include one, even a short one would'be done it.
Sent from my Supersonic EVO 4G
they are $30 at sprint's website, you should be able to find cheaper elsewhere online though. i'm waiting for the dock which includes a cable
I too did the same thing searched in amazon for hdmi for evo ordered two cords when i got them they were hdmi to hdmi mini what you need to search is hdmi to hdmi micro.. spent my last couple dollars on the wrong cords.. really only wanted the cords to play psx on my tv turns out it only work on a few selected apps so i wont be purchasing until it works for majority of phone functions
looks like you're looking for the wrong cable. its MICRO not mini. Get a type D(micro) to type A(regular) male cable
Yeah I guess that was my mistake, I didn't know there was a micro. And as for running the psx emu onto the tv, that would be AWESOME! Even just playing the regular Android games Thank you all for your help.
Posted by my Supersonic EVO 4G via XDA app
Most Sprint Store's carry them if you don't mind paying around $30.00 for them. I was told all of them carry have them if they can keep them in stock, but i dont know how true that is. That's where i got mine.
I bought 2 off of ebay for like 6 bux each, they work perfectly.
Monoprice will have them in stock on the 13th for 2 or 3 dollars. You are retarded if you pay thirty dollars for that cable.

I bought one of those $6 cables on ebay but it didn't work. I thought my port was bad but I bought one of the molex cables here

and it works perfectly, so +1 for these guys.
I just ordered 2 of the $6 ones Now I just hope more apps get support for the hdmi out so I can play some of the games and emus on my big screen

Angled Micro USB OTG Adapter for $6.95
Personally, I much prefer angled OTG Adapters like this:

I first got a normal one that looked like what you linked to, but I ended up replacing it with that angled adapter after getting tired of the straight one getting in the way or jabbing me. If anyone's interested, the eBay listing I bought it from is still online. It ships from the US and I received mine two days after I ordered it. I originally paid $8.95, but it looks like the price has gone down to $6.95 now. It's still more expensive than a straight adapter or something from China, but I think the angled adapter is definitely worth it!
Thanks for the link milkman.
No problem. I figured I'd point the angled adapters out as long as someone's putting up another thread about OTG cables. I certainly wish I had known of them before I ordered my first regular adapter, so I thought other people probably would too. I linked to that cable a while ago on this forum, but I think the old thread is buried by now. Enjoy!
so what do you connect to the xoom to use this?

can you play videos right from the flash drive or gotta transfer them?

If you don't need it as an SMD part to solder it onto a PCB, the easier task could be to get a cable, cut it through, and connect the wires (to wherever they are supposed to connect to).
I think you can't..maybe in electronic store you can
You might try digikey:

It's a Jig for a bricked Samsung Captivate. I only had one cord so I didn't want to cut into it.
But thank you all for your suggestions! I ordered just a normal cable and I'm going to cut away at the plastic.
The best source for cheap cables is monoprice.com
You can get micro USB cables in a variety of lengths for about a dollar each. Whenever I order from them, I just buy an assortment of cables that may come in handy (USB, hdmi, audio, etc) because shipping is more expensive than the cables themselves.

Does it have all 11 pins? The OEM doesn't have the data pins in the USB part (2 and 3) and I am looking for a fully populated 11 pin adapter.... for modding.

Just got it today and my Tv shows it's outputting at 1080i and everything's fine with the A/V sync.
And it's difficult to see the pins but all I can see is 5 pins on the male and female sides.
I just bought a s2 mhl cable and an 11 to 5 adapter, all working fine.1080i 60hz the tv says
the adapter is the short metal type, it has all pins populated and a small pcb between the connectors, great for modding..
this is same as mine, my seller seems to have gone.....

I was thinking of getting an usb-hdmi adapter to connect the s3 to my hdtv sometimes. Since is just for ocassional use, i was looking for something cheap and i found this one on ebay:

But i haven't found much reviews on it and since its so cheap im wondering if it works well.
Anyone bought this that can give me some feedback on it? Do you think its good enough or i should look for the more expensive ones?
Thanks

Yeah I had seen those but didn't know for sure it they are really Samsung OEM. I read reviews that if you buy an OEM fake that its a tight fit and you can screw up the connection on the tablet.

When I got some items they shipped out of Texas.
I have the CrazyonDigital cords (AC charger, USB cable and 12V charger) that were bundled with my leather rotating case. They all work and I use the CrazyonDigital AC charger rather than the OEM because it is longer and charges more quickly. I also use the 12V cable more than I thought I would. You can buy the cable bundle separately from CrazyonDigital directly for $12.85 USD. http://www.crazyondigital.com/samsungp5113carwalldataq.html
