It looks like this.
Sorry if wrong section. I'm not really sure where to put this..

Have you checked your local Radio Shack? Or you can search online, places like Mousse Electronics have all kinds of connectors. Hope this helps you.

The all powerful ebay has it all with free shipping from china

If you don't need it as an SMD part to solder it onto a PCB, the easier task could be to get a cable, cut it through, and connect the wires (to wherever they are supposed to connect to).

I think you can't..maybe in electronic store you can

You might try digikey:

I'm curious about your project! What kinds of things are you working on?

It's a Jig for a bricked Samsung Captivate. I only had one cord so I didn't want to cut into it.
But thank you all for your suggestions! I ordered just a normal cable and I'm going to cut away at the plastic.

The best source for cheap cables is monoprice.com
You can get micro USB cables in a variety of lengths for about a dollar each. Whenever I order from them, I just buy an assortment of cables that may come in handy (USB, hdmi, audio, etc) because shipping is more expensive than the cables themselves.

Let us know it they are an actual 6ft if you remember.
Good find. I bought the 3 feet micro usb cables from them and they work great.
There is no need to buy more than one hdmi cable unless you have more than one Evo. Not many devices uses those kind of micro hdmi plugs.
Are cords created equally? Reason I ask is because I ordered one from protechgroup. I needed an extra long one and they had a nice price on a 15". Anyone cared to opine?

let me know the quality, I might order some myself.
Quality seems fine. Goldplated on both ends. At first I thought it charged slow but that was me being on it. We'll see

I ordered one from meritline before when it was on sale. This seems like the same cable. It works fine for charging wise but doesn't seem to do data. Keeps showing up on the computer as unrecognized device but with the htc cables and the one I had for the moto droid it works fine. Didn't mind much I use it now as an extra charging cable I only paid 1 dollar and free shipping when I had ordered it.

Angled Micro USB OTG Adapter for $6.95
Personally, I much prefer angled OTG Adapters like this:

I first got a normal one that looked like what you linked to, but I ended up replacing it with that angled adapter after getting tired of the straight one getting in the way or jabbing me. If anyone's interested, the eBay listing I bought it from is still online. It ships from the US and I received mine two days after I ordered it. I originally paid $8.95, but it looks like the price has gone down to $6.95 now. It's still more expensive than a straight adapter or something from China, but I think the angled adapter is definitely worth it!
Thanks for the link milkman.
No problem. I figured I'd point the angled adapters out as long as someone's putting up another thread about OTG cables. I certainly wish I had known of them before I ordered my first regular adapter, so I thought other people probably would too. I linked to that cable a while ago on this forum, but I think the old thread is buried by now. Enjoy!

ahhh I see
I just looked, they got some decent deals for 32 gig flash drives, that can be a good deal.
I guess it can also accept those small external HDs
can you play videos right from the flash drive or gotta transfer them?
Play from the flash drive.
I ordered a an angled USB OTG cable from newegg.com. It was only $4 and free shipping: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0PG06U1118 Later, I found the same one on amazon for $2.25 and free shipping http://www.amazon.com/Micro-USB-OTG...7KYU/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1323545145&sr=8-7 (same seller and everything...)
Thanks for the tip, just ordered two of these from Amazon.

Nexus Charger : Good for UK 3-pin and Euro 2-pin?

Could anyone tell me if the chargers shipped from the UK are compatible with both types of power outlets?
The "Clover Unboxing Video" showed that the UK 3-pin "option" is clipped over a two-pin type casing ... but from the video, I could not be sure if they could be easily interchanged.
I am in Malta (which uses the 3-pin (BS1363) config [which I prefer] MOST of the time), but I often travel to Mainland Europe where the two-pin style (Europlug -- CEE7/x?) outlets dominate.
Would much appreciate any feedback!
PS .. I lovingly and studiously linked to URLs for both the video and the socket specs, but as a noob, I was not allowed external links in my comment ... No problem - I FULLY understand the reasons for this policy!
You would need the 2-pin "clipping".
Otherwise Just use a travel adapter.
I don't think it will work with a 2pin Euro clip.
have a look at the picture:

The 3rd UK pin folds out and there doesn't seem to be an option to remove it.
I don't quite understand your question, but I think you'r wondering if the wall-socket connector on the charger is easy to switch between one or the other? If so then, yes this is just a pop-on pop-off manouver. If both types of connectors come with the box, i have no idea! Hope this helps somewhat.
Edit: Regarding the picture above, the 2-pin connector should be able to slide over the third plastic pin when in a folded position.

Thanks Tim ... your picture seems to show that what I was hoping for is not possible .... So - I must remember to pack an adaptor when travelling.
Many thanks for your time and the others for replying!
The Euro clip in bit probably has a groove in it so that it fits with the UK earth pin folded down.
Galaxy Nexus has a USB charger so you can easily charge your device with a computer until you get a converter (they sell them almost everywhere) or simply another USB charger that works for you.

Replacing the USB Charging Cable

My USB charging cable broke from one end and I need to replace it. Where can I find an original Samsung Retail or OEM, but not from a 3rd party cheap one. Thanks

Yeah I had seen those but didn't know for sure it they are really Samsung OEM. I read reviews that if you buy an OEM fake that its a tight fit and you can screw up the connection on the tablet.

You can use this 50 % off coupon code at Samsung.com for items under 50 bucks.
r2b3J56 (does work)
Expires 06/06/2013
Factory cable would then be $10.00 +$3.95 shipping.

When I got some items they shipped out of Texas.
I have the CrazyonDigital cords (AC charger, USB cable and 12V charger) that were bundled with my leather rotating case. They all work and I use the CrazyonDigital AC charger rather than the OEM because it is longer and charges more quickly. I also use the 12V cable more than I thought I would. You can buy the cable bundle separately from CrazyonDigital directly for $12.85 USD. http://www.crazyondigital.com/samsungp5113carwalldataq.html

Nylon USB Cables

Hi,
My Samsung and apple usb chargers are absolute crap so I was looking at these new Nylon braided USB cables which are:
- at least 2x in length;
- much more durable;
- boast that they charge and sync at 2.4A which is significantly higher than the stock samsung and apple chargers.
Pretty sure you can buy reversible and micro USB cables also.
Has anyone had experience with these?
Here's an example product I found which seems great in value and holds the above specs:

my Samsung and apple usb chargers are absolute crap
I use a samsung 2 Amp charger, which has a usb socket in it – for charging my table and/or mobile phone. What do you mean crap? I haven't had one fail, and works as expected. So is this thread relating to the charger itself? Or relating to usb cables? For my charger, the charger has a usb socket – so you could put whatever kind of cable you want on it.
DO ...NOT ...BUY
I have had several ...
1. The contact is poorly molded. The micro-usb contact will soon pop out of the mold and break off.
2. The sleeve does nothing at all. It just looks cool.. the poor way the cable and contacts is molded it does not make the cable stronger.
3. Even how much the information emphasize that the cable can transfer more amperes this is not the case... All sleeve kind of usb cables I have had stalled at about 450mAh.
The best cables are the one that is not fitted with "bling bling" all around or brag about its quality.
I recommend you to instead buy a classic cable http://www.monoprice.com/product?c_id=103&cp_id=10303&cs_id=1030307&p_id=5458&seq=1&format=2
This has:
Ferrite Core. Most people doesn't know what this round brick around the cable does anyway..
28/24AWG ..you can bend it all you want. It won't break. Also allow for more current to pass.
Gold plated. Does nothing but looks good..it will scratch off after a month from inserting and removing.
Note: The cables from monoprice isn't something special. They are only a retailer. The cables are manufactured in china.
It is a very nice usb cable. I had it for days and still works great.
