anyone know where I can preorder a focus? I googled around and found some links to ATT, but that page just says 'coming soon' I know best buy is taking pre orders for the Surround.. but I want the focus.

Don't think you really can yet. I'd suggest calling up a local AT&T store and having them put you on a list or something if they're doing that.

Called two local AT&T stores and they aren't doing preorders. One store said to call back in November to see if they are then. Best Buy Mobile says they are only going to carry the Surround. I guess this could change by launch too.

I wonder why att is not allowing pre orders for delivery on the 8th of Nov? Normally they have a two day and next day shipping option. They should simply allow pre ordering and then ship on the 6th or 7th depending on what type of shipping you paid for. (When I ordered a phone over the phone years ago, two day shipping was free and next day tacked on a $10 shipping fee.)

This is as close as I've seen to a pre-order page, but it doesn't appear to be for any one specific device.

AT&T In Store Lumia Promotions?

Just got back from the AT&T store and had a chance to play with the 900 while I was there. Spoke with the manager for a few minutes who mentioned that there 'may' possibly be some sort sales promotion for the 900 that will soon be announced at all AT&T stores. Seemed like he knew what it was, but wasn't giving up the goods. Also he alluded to an earlier than April 8th release date.
Just throwing it out there.
Well, for what it's worth, if you go to the Nokia site they have a countdown clock. The clock points to Friday, not Sunday.
Nokia supposedly booked times square for a release party on Friday at 7pm.
For what it's worth, I stopped by two ATT stores on the way home:
One swore the launch was the 14th, and if I preordered, I'd be able to pick it up that day.
The second said if I preordered now, my phone would be available in 14-21 days according to their system.
Figure I'll just stop by on Monday and pick one up from one of the worthless ATT stores in my area. May have to stop by on Friday/Saturday as well as see what's going on, as a launch on the 8th when the stores are closed has all the employees baffled.
Promotions
My Understanding is only "Corporate" Stores are going to get the device early. I tried to preorder The Lumia 900 online as an upgrade. I could not do it online and was directed by customer care to go to one of 3 Corporate stores in my area (Fresno, Ca)On 3-30-12 to complete the order. One of the reps I know there said Nokia is pulling all the stops. All the reps in store have Lumia's, some black ones, some Cyan ones. A rep from Nokia actually came to FRESNO to train and show the features of the phone and share marketing tactics. The rep said that this was a first as all the training for other phones, including the I Phone took place at out of town meetings. He said the Nokia is going first class all the way and the promotion in store will be substantial, and was confident they would have product in store by Easter Weekend.

Is the promo free phone on new plan ? That is already known. Also Amazon has the phone for a penny. If they have something else as a promo beyond this, that would be pretty amazing.

Wish I knew, but he wouldn't say. Just said to keep my ears open as it would be announced soon. I'm hoping its something good, and not just an accessory or two thrown in.
If you wait until it's available at Costco, they usually throw in a car charger and case and tax is only charged on the price that you pay, not the retail price of the phone.
Not sure if it's going to be available at Costco on launch date though. A few days wait might be worth it though to save some extra cash and get some freebies.
Any word on the promo ?
Haven't heard anything on my end. Plan on stopping by the local att store after work to see if I can prod more info out of them.
I'll take some nifty new Nokia Lumia 900 accessories like a case or bumper.
$50.00 with 2 year contract at all corporate stores in New England (including upgrade, which I did)...

What the hell is up with Best Buy preorders?

SO I canceled my Verizon pre order to do it through best buy (felt more reliable with $200 gift card, not waiting for a mail in rebate which never comes), and they dont seem to be available. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/promo/samsung-galaxy-note-4-128435
I was in store on Saturday to pre order, and they just said it wasnt available. The Samsung "Experience Coordinator" (or whatever it is), had no explanation, was really pissed off, and just offered to text me when they become available to preorder. Anyone know whats going on?

Hearing Sold Out @BB!
Wow, I was able to pre-order mine for Verizon on Thursday, this past week.
I've been waiting for them to open the pre orders on their website because I don't live near a bb but I would be willing to drive to pick it up to save $200. If I can't order it through bb I'm gonna be pissed. I really don't want to deal with uploading the receipts and all that crap for the other promo. If I have to I will, but I would much rather deal with bb. I am pre ordering by the end of the week no matter what weither it's from bb or verizon.
When I preordered the Sprint one there was issues with their site and store connections. I had to go back 2 days later to put it in. At that time there was a message flashing across the screen that the Verizon preorders could not be taken yet. Just keep calling until they are up, you have until the 16th to preorder.

I was in there Saturday also and was told all they had left to pre-order was white. When I got home and looked online even white was gone. Bummer because the employee told me that the tradein program was very lax and that they would accept pretty much any phone as long as it turned on and didn't have water damage/major cracks.
i went in to a bb to check out the note 4 as well. Phone is sick! but i asked the same about pricing and ordering and they didnt have a clue on both! I was like really!??
Wife and I went to 3 Best Buy's yesterday to preorder for Verizon, 1st said only White was available, so I hesitated due to wanting black, so we drove to the next BB where they said preorders at their store sold out on Saturday, drove to the next BB and was told ALL BB Verizon preorders were shutdown Friday night due to being oversold. Was told this by both BB employees and Samsung Mobile employees at all 3 stores. Was really pissed because the preorder hasnt even began on BB website for Verizon - has always said Coming Soon.
Ended up preodering at Costco - 1 black and 1 white.
I know the phone is much higher through best than what saw at Verizon. The AT&T version is $825 and the Verizon version is $699.99.

That's what I saw also. I preordered the white from Verizon for $699.
I had the same experience... not able to Pre-Order online so I went into my local store. They said pre-orders were sold out as well. I called the Best Buy Mobile store and was surprised to hear him say they could pre-order black or white still. Ran up.. pre-ordered the phone!
Apparently BB allocations for the N4 are tapped out. Verizon obviously got the lion share of allocations.
Anybody thinking they will get the offer for full price sales are dreaming even more now.

The $200 deal is from Samsung so that stills good, just that Bestbuy is sold out with their limits so you can't pre order from them any more, but you could get N4 from Amazon or Verizon.

Well in our mall Best Buy Mobile is like a very small mini store. Also have been reading reports that this promotion will jot work unless you do 2 yr contract or edge plan... However I clearly asked and made sure that I could purchase the Note 4 at full retail and receive the $200 trade in value on my Motorola Droid X.
Employee said that it says clearly when activation 2 year contracts when they do promotions like this but this promotion had none of that wording. Simply towards any "purchase". Got it all in writing and had them sign it so I would have a "leg to stand on" if for some reason that went against what they were telling me.
BTW they said they had several in both black and white they could still pre order and their store hadn't reached they're limit

Sprint Note 4 shipped?

I have seen where some t mobile customers phones have shipped. I thought I would make a thread so we could keep up with actual shipping times for Sprint.
I pre-ordered from best buys website last week and paid for expedited shipping. I'll post as soon as it ships.

I tried to order in the store on Monday and they told me they were out of pre-orders. I talked to the manager and they are going to give me the $200 gift card when I receive my phone even though I had to have it shipped to my house. I picked up a net 10 smartphone for $20 that day to use as my trade in.

I pre-ordered online. I noticed the pre-authorization that Sprint put on my debit card got credited back, so once they put in the actual charge for the device and ship it, I'll make sure to post here.
That's interesting because my charge wasn't a preauthorization. It was a real charge that posted to my american express a day after I made the purchase. I just checked it again and it is still there.

Interesting. I had to pay a down payment with mine (that's what sucks when you have no credit and pay cash for everything in your life). So I paid $250 + estimated sales tax of $53.38, so a total of $303.38. They pre-authed that amount to my debit card. A day later, Sprint changed the order total, as the system charged me too much sales tax. The actual tax owed is $48.60, so the actual total was $298.60, so they credited me the $303.38 and will instead charge the proper $298.60 once the device ships.

I as well paid the 299 (349 without the credit coming) plus tax upfront the day I pre ordered it. My order went in 4 minutes after the pre orders started and within about 2 minutes it showed up through my bank and cleared just a day later. I expected sprint to charge me for the upgrade fee but they did not yet. Maybe they are waiting for me to actually do the swap.
The T-mobile thread definitely has me wondering if Sprint is sitting on a bunch of Note 4's and just waiting to get them shipped just in time for the 17th. If Sprint ships UPS it will show up in MyUPS and I will get an email. Hoping to see some activity on Monday.
I pre-ordered through best buy and they charged my card the full amount ($903 which includes expedited shipping) but then it wasn't showing on there a couple of days later. I called to make sure my order wasn't cancelled and the best buy rep told me the card would be charged when the phone ships.
I'm supposed to be getting a price match of $720 then a $200 best buy gift card for trading a working smartphone. I hope this works out like the store manager says.
I was in my local Sprint Store today for repair of my wife's G3 and I mentioned that T-mobile users were already getting their Note 4. The first guy said "Impossible, Samsung will not allow it" but the guy in the back room working on someones phone said "Yeh my brother got his a few hours ago" he continued with the possibility that Sprint will start shipping on Monday or Tue for pre-orders in order to guarantee that it will be delivered by the end of the day on release date. So some may get it as early as Wed or as late as Friday. Nothing is for certain as Sprint may wait till Thursday and ship it next day air saver (assuming they use UPS) in which case it could be as late at 8 P.M Friday.
In my opinion I cant see Sprint waiting to the last second. Yes pre-ordering has its advantage of making sure you get your phone in que but I cant see them making it available in stores on Friday morning while the rest of us who pre ordered are just waiting on delivery. I am willing to bet the Wed or Thur delivery is a bit more reasonable. My neighbor did not pre-order but is planning on just walking into sprint when they open on Friday to buy one. Would be a crappy feeling to see him with his Note 4 before me when I ordered it 3 weeks ago.

I pre-ordered through Best Buy and called their "mobile hotline" today to check on arrival date and they said it's currently in transit with delivery on the 16th. I'm hoping Best Buy doesn't hold it for a day to be released, but there's potential for people who purchased through BB that'll their device will be a day early.
The sales rep told me (if he knew what he was talking about) when I pre-ordered on sept 26th, first day of allowed pre-order that I would probably be on the second shipment due to the number of orders already placed that day so possibly there is a Oct 15th arrival for the initial group.
When I spoke to Sprint today I got quite the run around. When I check my order, which was placed on the third, It's still sitting in the same state it was at when I originally received the order number. Called this afternoon to ask and was told that Sprint has yet to receive any phones, which I'm sure isn't true, and that all the blame is on Samsung. I asked how T-Mobile customers received their phones and was pretty much ushered off the phone. I was told that the release date was "around" October 17th and was then hung up on.

Now I don't work for UPS but I thought that the company who is shipping would do the printing, taping, and sending to UPS. I cant see sprint showing up with 10,000 phones and all the UPS employees having to tape the labels on the boxes before ship. I can see the info being sent electronically though and maybe this person has access to it.
I keep reading that AT&T is shipping Monday night into Tuesday. No word from Verizon or Sprint.

If that person works for UPS Supply Chain he may be telling the truth. They warehouse and ship for hundreds of companies.

[Q] amazon prime order of Note 4 (Verizon)

Pre-ordered on Amazon Prime 9/23/14. Still has not shipped. Any one who has ordered from Amazon in the same boat??

Yesterday I received a notice that they have not received their shipment and it would be delayed. They did not give a time frame when it would ship but said they would ship one day (which I selected) and gave me $20.00 credit. Just an FYI I ordered the white one on 10/7 and my ETA is still listed as 10/24....

Was on the Amazon forums for the verizon galaxy note 4 and saw that one person talked to a Amazon rep today who told him that the phones are being packaged right now. Don't know how true that is but I will be calling myself within the next hour or so

That was me. Ordered a black on Oct 6th. I talked to 2 different reps on 2 different days and both told me it would be delivered the 24th. Neither said the phone delivery was gonna be delayed. Although maybe they are telling that to people they oversold to.
As of now i have not received a shipping notification.

Just got off chat with Amazon. Much back and forth about pre-order, I still don't think she understood that whole concept. I preordered on Day 1 - Sep 19, and Amazon is now telling me mine won't be delivered until December. Tempted to post the transcript. It's an embarrassment for Amazon IMO.
My order status still says delivery tomorrow by 8PM., but of course it has not shipped. May just go local, but I'm pretty peeved...what's the point of pre-ordering from the biggest online retailer if they are last in line -- and don't tell you this to keep you from buying somewhere else?
I opted for the free 2 day shipping, so my estimated arrival is on Monday, but there is no updates to my order either. I hope Amazon doesn't screw me over, I already waited patiently with the whole Verizon BS of delaying the Note 4 when every other carrier had it on release day.
I just spoke to a live customer service representative and still have no concrete answer as to what is happening with this order. Really starting to get angry. First I was told that they were out of stock for the galaxy note 4. I explained to him that I understand that the phone is out of stock as of a couple days ago but it was not when I ordered on the 10th of October. He then went on to repeat himself word for word about how the phone is out of stock. This is when I started to get really annoyed because it just seemed like he was giving me the run around. As he was explaining this to me I cut him off and told him that "I understand what you are saying about the phone being out of stock now, but that should have no effect on my pre order since it was in stock when I ordered on the 10th of October. Why would I even bother pre ordering a phone that was out of stock when I could just walk into a store and buy it today. I pre-ordered the phone well over a month ago, it was in stock, I was quoted an estimated delivery time, and at no point have I received any email or text notifications telling me otherwise. What I want to know is where is my phone?" He then tells me that he is going to check into it and puts me on hold. When he came back on I was told, he again starts telling me about how I will receive a notification once the phone ships to which I reply "Well when is it going to ship. Today, tomorrow, next month, or maybe next year? The whole point of me calling you is to find out what is happening with my order and you are telling me absolutely nothing". He then asks if I want to cancel the order. I told him he can cancel the order if he gets me a refund on the $600 worth of Amazon gift cards I have credited to my account. He replies by telling me that he is going to put me on hold so he can see what my options are.
When he came back he told me that he would wave the same day delivery fee and then tells me that the orders are being processed now. I asked again when it will be delivered but could not get a straight answer out of him. Supposedly he is sending me an email regarding the conversation we had (its been about 20 min. no email) . So essentially from what I gather is that no one, and I mean absolutely no one at Amazon has any idea what is happening with these orders and that the guy I was talking to was just trying to pacify me by telling me the orders are currently being processed (I do not believe that at all). As of now it just seems like anyone who pre-ordered the phone through Amazon might just be better off calling your local Verizon or Best Buy stores seeing if they have any in stock, cancel your supposed "pre order" and just by in store. What a pain.
If I didn't have Amazon gift cards I would definitely cancel my order.

Got the same email this morning after talking with Amazon last night. Last night they said it could still ship by midnight and delivery would be today - "could" being the operative word. Today I got the email, and on the phone they said they had NO delivery information and that they had not received their shipment. The problem now appears to be that if you cancel and get it from somewhere else (I did confirm Verizon has black and stock and can ship immediately), you will lose your pre-order trade-in guarantee ($200) from Samsung.
I'm very unhappy with Samsung, Verizon and Amazon - mostly Amazon for their lack of communication. There is no way they couldn't know this before the ship date, and their communication has been dismal at best.
Just cancelled by Amazon order of the Note 4. Called first thing this morning they advised they did not get their shipment and they could not tell me when they are expecting their shipment. Not real pleased with Amazon at this point. Getting ready to go out and hunt this phone down!!!
Got a response from Amazon for an email I sent them today regarding this. They didn't seem to really care about screwing things up and also stated the Samsung offer is not currently honored by Amazon. I know Samsung has recently changed the promo terms and conditions and added the other Galaxy phones to the promo. I no longer see Amazon listed or even a list of accepted retailers. Maybe it's a good thing the phone didn't ship because I was really only getting this phone because of the promo. Amazons communication and resolution to this issue has been terrible.

Customer service couldn't give me any estimate of when they will get the phones in. I was pissed off because at the very least if they communicated this to us early, then I could have preordered elsewhere. Now I'm stuck due to the promo as I did the pre-order and also the trade-in through amazon. Plus I used a bunch of gift cards on it.
Cancelled my order with Amazon and went to local VZW store, Note 4 in hand right now.
I too will never order phones from them again. I'm a prime member and place about 100 orders per year with them. It would take drastic measures to regain my confidence in them when it comes to preorders and purchasing phones.

I am in the exact boat you are. They already took my trade in so I can't do the non- preorder option. If I cancel my order now I get neither promotion.
They gave me a December estimate but told me that it was more likely to be early November. Still too long! I ordered on 9/25...it was not listed as "out of stock" at that time.
Same situation here. I am a long-time, and very loyal Amazon customer, but I am absolutely furious over the situation with my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 pre-order. I pre-ordered this phone (black) on 27 Sep. Until today at 4 AM they still indicated it would be shipped today w/ estimated arrival of 27 Oct. My current phone is broken, so I chatted with Amazon customer service early this AM to see if I could get my delivery changed to 1-day. The nice lady on customer service said no problem, and even as a one-time exception upgraded me to 1-day shipping for free. Five minutes later, my estimated delivery date changed from 27 Oct to 9 December!! I pre-ordered to take advantage of Samsung's $200 rebate promotion for trade-ins. I can no longer cancel this order and take advantage of that offer at another retailer because the promotion ended on the day the phone was officially released. If they don't ship until 9 Dec I can't even meet the deadline for the pre-order paperwork and won't get the $200 promotion. I'm now stuck with a non-working cell phone waiting indefinitely for them to ship my pre-order. I spoke to multiple customer service agents on the phone (1.5 hours on phone, and hung-up on by one agent during a transfer), including two supervisors, with no resolution and no offer to do anything whatsoever to improve the situation. This lack of communication and disregard for customers is completely unacceptable. BBB / FTC complaints are on their way.

Yikes on the trade-in. Fortunately I haven't done mine yet. Amazon has really dropped it on this one. I told one of the customer service people that Amazon was big enough to get answers from Samsung and Verizon, and that to have hardly any information was unacceptable.

I talked with 4 people and spent a couple of hours on the phone - didn't net me much. After a time, one rep offered me $10 for my trouble, which really ticked me off. I sent him a link here to see the issues people were having, and that Amazon had already refunded someone else $20. I told him I didn't want the money - just answers.
Anyway, after feeling the futility with Amazon, I called Verizon who has them in stock, ready to go, and is giving the $200 trade-in on any smartphone (if you haven't traded it in yet). You can pick them up at most of the stores, or they can ship overnight. Same price, same trade-in, no headaches.
Update... Expected delivery on 10/28!

I tried pre ordering on best buy website but it wouldn't let me. I called them and they said that they are in the process of removiing all ordering of AT&T devices online. You now can only order or pre order in-store only. But they weren't certain that you could even do that any more. The rep and a supervisor stated its a recent change as of last week. I called Att and they said the only promo's they had was like $5 off a stupid selfie stick. So I will be trying my to get best buy and their $100 gift card to let me order it through them instead of Att. We'll see I'll be stopping by tomorrow.
BTW Att said they will have pre order starting tomorrow and available on the 5th

I was able to pre-order from Best Buy as a 2-yr subsidized phone instead of NEXT. Just had to go into the store. No real hoops to jump through, took about 10 minutes and a good chunk of that was from a frozen computer. Although I still haven't been told when I'll be able to pick it up. I'm hoping it's same as AT&T stores.
I may get the h815 version. Had the major att bands for lte
I had preordered through BestBuy because of the $100 gift card but was going to buy the phone straight up for $629.99 but they had a later release date (6/12). Checked the preorder through AT&T and they let me do a 2 year contract and get it for $199.99. Which to me is a way better deal IMO. So cancelled with BB and ordered with AT&T earlier today and I just got an email saying it shipped. :good::good:
I wanted to preorder through AT&T, but they don't ship until after the 12th, so I just went ahead and ordered from AT&T, because it ships by the 1st or 2nd....

Anyone heard if Bestbuy will be shipping on 6/5 instead of 6/12?
still undecided if i get the tmo or att version to run on att
or maybe switch carriers to tmo. any thoughts? in far north Dallas.
I ordered from Best buy yesterday. The chick wouldn't tell me anything about when they would be ready for pick up. The only thing she said was that they usually have the phones before the carriers do. I'm not in any hurry to get the phone I just needed a new phone because my screen is going out on my G2. Otherwise I probably wouldn't even upgrade. Hopefully we get emails saying they are ready for pickup sooner rather then later though.
Just went into ATT store to pre-order to get the spare battery and 32G sdcard. One wrinkle ... I still have unlimited international data (YAY) and there was absolutely no way to preorder and keep that. I was there for over an hour, most of it with the rep on the phone trying to figure out how to keep the unlim-data.
Turns out you can NOT pre-order and keep that feature - it will force you to a 3G plan. The only way is to walk in and buy one *from store inventory*, then I can keep the unlim-data.
So be careful - if you have expired features, they may get whacked ...
With the pre-order you can get a 7" tablet for $0.99, but it's a new device on your plan - $10/mo. By buying from store inventory, it's an 8" tablet with stylus.

Preordered through BB as well (ATT). 6/5 verified, well the truck gets in the 4th so I may see if I can pick it up a day early

Anyone that ordered through AT&T get a shipping confirmation yet? I was reading in another thread that one user that also ordered from AT&T checked his status and it says "Back ordered" . Just checked mine and it says preorder processing. I did order on 5/29 around 12:30am.

After preordering phones through at&t website for years, I figured I would have learned my lesson about their mess. I have not gotten any info yet either except preparing to ship for the past few days.
Update: Just got my tracking.
FWIW I went to an AT&T store today to potentially go and pre-order one. However the rep told me that they would have ample stock on Friday and it would just be easier to come back then and pick one up in store. They assured me that stock would not be an issue. That might be a good alternative for anyone looking to pick one up.
So I just got the email with the tracking info. Says it will be here on Thursday!
