I was pretty sure I wanted CM7 but I'm not sure anymore
I had the mytouch for a few days bear with me.
I tried to root my device but I keep getting an error on the emulator. I am using visionay 11. It does grant me root access but when I run the commands on the emulator it says a file not found.
I extrated the root folder to the root of my sd card. Now under the download link their is something that says sum5 ect. Am I supposed to add this somewhere? Plz help.

In my opinion the best sense Rom available right now is Virtuous Unity
I am currently using this rom while im waiting for RoyalGinger (AOSP) to release its 2.2 update

Im assuming your are following the method listed Here
Just to make sure we are on the same page.
you have already been granted temporary root access through visionary.
you installed terminal emulator from the market.
you downloaded the root.rar folder and extracted it. then moved to folder to the root of the sd card (not the contents of the folder but the folder itself)
you attempted to follow the terminal emulator steps from the thread mentioned above.
(a. type "su" + enter to gain root privileges.
b. Type "cd /sdcard/root" + enter.
c. Type "sh root.sh" + enter.)
d. Follow the on screen prompts.
when you get to step b. you get an error in terminal emulator.
Is that correct? And no, you do not need to add the md5sum anywhere that is just there so you can us a checksum verifier to make sure your .rar file has the right checksum after you download it.

Tried it. loved it. moved on to CM 7.1 RC1. kinda miss unity but CM7 is less of a resource hog
someone should add unity to the list.

How to Add Flags:
with permission from @waydownsouth, I modified his AIO ("All In One") script from mexdroid rom and incorporated a few flags into TDJ DARKSIDE Runny ROM..
Available Flags:
-wipe
-dscam
-bat
What SUPER.DUPER.WIPE flag does:
-wipe = A full wipe that is much more through and is HIGHLY suggested over any wipe options in recovery menu. It will also format partitions to EXT4 (NOTE: THIS WILL DELETE ALL USER DATA! DOESN'T TOUCH SD CARD!)
-dscam = This will install the camera from the DoubleShot Rom. Installing this camera fixes FFC, making it right side up and also fixes FFC in Gtalk when initilizing video chat. Some features may be broken. Pick your poison between this and Stock...
-bat = Simple, installs custom battery mod for you lazy people who cant get over to UOT and do it yourself
** If no -wipe flag is added to the end of file name it will not wipe..
** If -dscam & -bat are not added to the end of file name it will install completely stock..
Adding flags to the file name:

Get IT??? Its as simple as adding the flag to the end of the file name. Must also contain NO spaces or else it WILL NOT work!!
Instructions on flashing ROM:
1. BACKUP ALL APPS with preferred method (ie: Titanium, My Backup, etc...)
2. Download ROM*I HIGHLY suggest chaning file name on your comp and not in recovery if possible.. Could save you a headache!*3. Set flags (Optional: refer above "How to Add Flags")
4. Place ROM on ROOT of your SD card.
4. Boot into Recovery Mode
5. Do a NAND BACKUP!!!
6. Flash ROM.
7. After flashing is complete, Reboot or flash whatever you need...
8. Done!

It's all in there, great rom..
This is a great rom! When you download it check out how much system space you have. Debloated! Beats works amazing. I'm using skullcandy's 50/50s and it sounds so good. So glad for a good stock player

FAQ
Q: What makes this different from the many other sense 3.5 roms?
A: Umm, not a whole lot when you boil it down. Different RUU basically, different mods.
Q: Why should I use this instead of "insert rom"?
A: I didn't say you should. If you like flashing a lot of roms, then I'd suggest you give this a shot and see if you like it. Otherwise, I just like sense 3/3.5 and since I will only really run my or my teams (tsm) roms...I've gotten into rom ports. There are a lot of other great sense roms out there from skyraider zeus, to inc hd, virtuous unity, bamf forever, magnolia, et all to choose from. Considering the relatively small size of the root community, those are a lot of great options.
Q: Are you working on any other rom ports?
A: Umm, yeah. I've kinda gotten addicted to it. I guess that makes me kind of a hypocrite cuz I used to wonder why some people across sense devices could continually port rom after rom without making them 100% first...and now that I do it, I've realized its almost impossible to get something to perfect. 95% is about as close as you really can go (usually).

*since I wasnt able to edit fusion or rosie properly, the runnymede bliss launcher isnt really usable in the rom (transparent because resources are missing) you ll have to switch to the bliss rosie in tweaks

yeah when I couldnt get wifi working on that RUU, I went over to look at his thread to see if he had similar problems and looks like that version does too...so figured it wasn't an easy fix and went to back to this one

How to flash BinDroid?
Download ROM from www.bindroid.com and save to the root of your SD Card
Boot you phone into ClockworkMod Recovery - Turn phone off, switch phone on holding volume down button at the same time.
Select "Wipe data/Factory reset" to clear your current system.
Select "install zip from sdcard"
Select "choose zip from sdcard" and choose The BinDroidRom you just put on your SD Card.
Install

No not at all. Downloading perfect for me. What problem are you having?
Only issue I'm having is with ES File Explorer.. I give it permission to access root, then it says "Test failed" and I can't enable root exploration.. I'll try uninstalling the app and reinstalling.. Not sure what the issue is.. I'm full root..
/Uninstall and reinstall fixed!!! All better now!! Thanks for the rom!!

On the screenshot it showed a themed lockring & rosie, but I don't have either . Would love to use them.
Haven't used this Kernel before, glad to see the lowest MHz below 245. What are these governors? Using virtous now. Which is the most aggressive? Which is least?
I can only use the NOOP I/O scheduler. I prefer sio. I want to recompile the kernel with sio, Where is the repo?

HOW DO I THEME Sense 4+:
This is one question that is asked most in our forum. Sense 4+ cannot be themed in a traditional way because HTC decided to encrypt the files. So we need to decrypt the files theme it and encrypt it back. So do that we need to use Virtuous Ten Studio - The next level of reverse engineering apps
About VTS according to dev
Virtuous Ten Studio (VTS) is the ultimate solution for the modification of android applications.
This program allows you to manage entire Android projects within an easy to use and familiar environment.
The intended group of users covers anyone from a themer over ROM devs up to the smali gods known for their awesome mods of existing apks.

AOKP is an AOSP rom...AOSP means it is based on the android open source project..cm9 and aokp are both custom roms based on AOSP..so it should be CM9/AOKP

There are also 5 (3 FREE AND 2 PAID)SKINS available in the Play Store by devs "Pneuma" and "Mcluvn from Bad Seed Customs". Even though the free one don't state compatibility with the One X, I have tried them all to ensure that they will show up in the skins section of personalize settings after installation.
