[Q] Variable length reminder snooze? - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there any way to have another screen popup when you hit snooze for a reminder, and ask how long you would like to snooze for? I've really missed this feature since winmo, and recently missed an appointment because of my absent mindedness.
Thanks,
Dave

Yep, one feature of WinMo I liked.

not sure if this will help ya or not, but I use a free app from the market called alarm clock plus. when the snooze pop up "pops up", you can then set how many minutes you want. love it. sorry if this wasn't helpful in any way.

Calendar snooze from market kicks butt, free version works great and has multiple configureable snooze's i actually paid the 5 bucks for the ad free version I liked it so much.

Calendar App & snoozing

Is there a calendar app or an add-on that asissts with snoozing. Currently you can only snooze for the pre-set snooze time and not select how long you want the reminder to be snoozed for. No need to comapre Android with winmo but in winmo you could set snooze for 5,10,30mins,1 hour, X minutes before start which was very handy.
Also, in android you can only snooze all and not select which reminder to snooze for a specific time.
thanks
I'd be interested in some solution for this as well.

That explains a lot! Been wondering why this never worked for me ...
Ok I found a good one.
Allows you to snooze an event with a plethora of options (and even the ability to create your own)
Its called Calendar Snooze

[TIP][APP] Lockscreen Agenda, awesome reminder.

I found this app the other day and paid for it in five minutes. If you, like me, have goldfishlike memory, this is the app for you.
It replaces your lockscreen with a scrollable agenda (very sober in design) and a clock, which acts as slider to unlock you phone. It's somewhat customizable.
It can take some fiddling to get it to work right, but now it works for me.
I love it. Now I see my reminders every time I open my phone.
It's called "lockscreen agenda". I don't know how to make a link. Search in market.
Thank you, Kevin, for a sweet app.
A tip for cm based users:
Disable system lockscreen in cm settings/tablet tweaks.
This will nullify interference with lockscreen agenda effectively.
I just loaded this app. Works great with one exception, it does not have the ability to code lock my lockscreen. Ill be contacting the developer to see if he/she can add this.

Hi,
Thanks for the tip. Very usefull
Hi there,
Thanks for great app, just what I need at this time.

Calendar Notification settings?

Hey guys I'm on Jellybean and this being my first smartphone, I'm not sure how to go about this. I have seen people with iPhone get notifications (popups) when they have an upcoming event.
Is there a way to do that with the galaxy nexus?
I dont want a changing color LED or a ringtone, just a popup on screen near the time of the event. If not a pop-up, just something at the notification bar. Thanks
When creating / editing event, scroll towards bottom and you have option to set a reminder and timescale for the reminder(s). Can have notifications on phone and/or an email reminder

Notifications/reminders as in "Pick up milk and eggs" or "call xyz at 7pm"? Grab a tasking app like Astrid (it's free from the play store) and it will do exactly that (and much more if you want it to)

You can set reminders in the form of an alarm from Google now.
For example: if you say "remind me to pick up dinner at 5pm" it will set an alarm with the tag "pick up dinner" for 5pm
calendar snooze is an excellent must have addition to the stock calendar. Its excellent.

Pull alarm time set in Timely

Is there any way for Zooper to pull the time of active alarms in Timely? I can only seem to pull the stock alarms, but I never use the stock alarm app.
I suppose I could mess around with tasker and have tasker pull the timely alarms and set the stock alarm to match, and vice versa but that seems a little convoluted.

If Timely doesn't use Android's native alarm settings, you'll have to go through Tasker. Only the alarms reported by the system are currently supported in Zooper.

Thanks for the response duder. You know if there's timely extension for tasker? I'm not pulling it up on the big list of plugins.
Seeing as its one of the most popular apps on Play for one of the most often functions of a smartphone that it'd make a great addition to the short list of Zooper's app integration priority!

After a quick search it seems like there is no plugin available. Might be that even the mighty Tasker is not able to get the alarm settings out of Timely.
I can't speak for the Zooper devs but judging from their development focus up to now, I don't think extended app integration is a priority. Especially, if those apps don't provide any way to actually get the data as it seems to be the case with Timely.
