*PULLED* - Continuum Android Development

The Odin package i posted here has some side effects if you downloaded the files delete them immediately and don't flash them at any cost.

Omg yes!!!

Do not do this yet. It will brick your phone

I'm working to get the issues solved with those involved, this package seemed to be corrupted in some way or another.

Try re-updating. Sometimes the updater will say it's finished, but it will have only partially downloaded zImage.tar and not even extracted it. Otherwise, if updating again doesn't fix it, you can download the latest zImage and kernel modules from here or here and place them in the andboot folder.
having the same problem
have tried several times now
Im using the 2.1 sense version...

I just did an update using the update software and now android won't boot. I think it may be timing out or something.
i'm using wifi to download since my network is sketchy at my house and im really hoping that has nothing to do with it.

Could very well be an issue with the server that it is downloading the update from, as this is happening to some users at PPCG as well. Also using the update utility right now you will not be getting the newest battery fixes.
Use the files found here. Download them, delete the old zimage file and modules file from your andboot folder. Paste the new ones into same folder. Boot back into android.

It does the same exact thing to me, I learned to jus stop usin it.
Its to hit an miss for now, and I'm sure someone will fix it sooner or later.

Dave is right, the same thing happened to me. I sometimes have to update twice to get it running
And if that doesn't work, copy the files under Daves reply into your andboot folder like he said
Gotta love copy/paste

Framework res theme.. all new icons

UNTESTED ONLY TRY IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING UNTIL SOMEONE CONFIRMS WORKING. You should know how to recover phone.. all I did is switched png files for you..I left all xml files untouched... In thanks for the system dump.. Made a theme for you guys to try out... Use at your own risk. I am not responsible for what you do to your phone or sdcard. Must have root. Use root explorer or super manager to replace file. Make backup of original first... You should sign file and set correct permissions.. Again do not try, unless you know what you are doing or know how to recover phone

Do we need to change permissions after transfering the file? Im currently bootlooping after using root explorer to swap the file in. Bout to restore the backup.
Should clear cache..

Crap. Now the phone wont boot up enough to let me have Su access and thus being able to restore the old framework file. Hmm. Any idea of how to get control enough to do so?
ADB push it

Something might be in there t I help

Tried that already actually. Just keeps bootlooping.
Tried a factory reset just now too. Same thing. Crap.
What about lg mobile support factory reset... When you replace files you should use signapktik to,sign apk and also before replacing... check old file for permissions and then set new files with same permissions. Only thing changed in res.apk is around 40 png files. Left the core alone. Usually have to wipe cache also. Supermanager apk in market has wipe cache option

Trying that app but the lgp930 is not listed in the recoverable section.
I don't know then bro... That's why I put untested... To scare people away that haven't done these things a lot since you guys don't have cwm mod yet.... ive edited and made tons of frameworks....so I kinda know what to do and not to do. Whenever messing with any jar folder files.. Everything needs to be put perfect and even then it can cause problems... You shouldn't have problems swapping them out at at&t since your factory reset should have took away root

you must have missed this!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1385729
luckily att is nice enought to give me an replacement!

when you use LG software updater, it said "you already have latest software, so you dont need to update" and said "this model is not for S/W update"
i used to have sony x10, i can reflash the phone EVEN i using the current/latest software!

[Q] Removing Zips

Once I have uploaded a ROM ZIP, or for that fact, any ZIP file onto my phone and flash it, do I have to leave the ZIP file on the phone?? I set my GS2 up with Darkside 3.7 and want to remove the ZIP if it isnt necessary. I searched through the forum and didn't find anything that answers my question.
Am new to the GS2 and modding it. Only previous phone I modded was the Motorola Zine ZN5 a few years back and the procedures are a bit different.
You can delete them. I like to keep at least one in case I have flashing issues plus any nandroid restoring trouble. Just as an extra backup plan. I also keep stuff I use anytime I flash. Darkside wipes, gapps, etc. To save from having to redownload.

Thank you. I am still on the fence as far as removing any of them but just wasn't sure if doing so would cause any problems.
I just created a folder for mods that I keep all mine in. Keeps them from floating around the root of the sd card where I'm constantly seeing and scrolling through them

[HELP] Copy & Paste issues!

My phone has had this problem for a few months now. Every time I try to copy and paste something from anywhere or any app, it crashes the app or it doesn't work. It may seem like nothing but it's a huge pain in you know where. Is there anyone that knows how to fix this issue? It would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know if this would work. I've suggested it a number of times but no one ever told me for sure they even tried it.
My theory is something was corrupted when the system was loaded at the factory. This should mean that re flashing the firmware through Odin may fix it.
You can get the firmware and instructions here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1949687
You can download Odin here:
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390135922294523684
You do not need to be rooted to flash with Odin. You will have the option of using the original, out of the box, system build, or you can use the updated firmware so that you will be up to date and won't require the OTA update (recommend this choice).
If you don't want to do this then my best suggestion is to backup your data, apps and internal sd. Then from settings menu do a Factory Reset. Though I doubt this will help if it is a probkem with the system side.
Hope this helps.

If you were rooted, it would have been a simple deletion of a folder. Since you are not, I guess you could try the method from poster 2...otherwise you'll just have to do a factory reset.

A number of people have had this problem and were not able to fix it by using any of the clear data/cache methods or by deleting the contents of or the entire /data/clipboard folder.
That and a lot of them said it had been a problem out of the box, which is why I began to suspect something was corrupted / not working right in the system itself. Rooted or not, at that point the best solution is probably to reflash the firmware.
Its easier than having to manually restore all of your apps and data after a reset imo!

Help making an installable zip file?

I want to make a zip file comprised of all the apps I normally use. In the form of APKS. Can someone maybe point me in the right direction as to how to accomplish this?
I tried using an already made zip and replacing the apk in the zip file with all of mine. They installed but a few were completely screwed up.
Skype kept force closing over and over again. I was getting spammed by the force close dialog box and couldn't do anything at all lol.
I'm just lazy and would like to flash them all at once after flashing the rom I'm using.

Not sure how you are zipping and extracting but I do something similar with no problems thus far. I add my favorite gizmo apps (so I don't have to download them again) by modifying the rom prior to flashing with the android kitchen. There's a few extra steps I take to add/take away the desired apps but it's all relatively easy. Read the thread below (see link) and thank dsixda profusely! :good:

It's a pretty useful tool for doing other things too once you get the hang of it. If you got any questions just holler.
