[13.FEB.2011][DFT|CWM]AF403 DesireHD stock base 1.5 [/data ext4onSD][Krn:RAFPIGNA1.7] - HD2 Android NAND Development

Description:
Yet another approach to Desire HD ROM for Euro (LEO512) HD2.
The goal was maximum performance and enough user storage for applications.
So let me introduce to you unsquashfsed gauner1986 HD-FI with real ext4 /data partition on SD card.
Now it is as stock as never before! ) It is not squashfsed with the real ext4 /data partition on SD card. based on original WWE 1.72.405.3
Still, I removed Google Maps and Adobe Reader, as better and newer versions are available at Market. For those living in countries were Google apps are not in market (like me) link to Google Maps is attached.
So what is the difference?
Unlike "data.img" method, this is actual real ext4 partition on the SD card. I believe this is more efficient and elegant solution, but this is not scientifically proven yet
Unlike APP2SD+ this method does not use internal storage for user data at all. It makes possible to better fit huge Desire HD ROM into 512 MB. It has downsides too, but later on that
Because uncompressed, unstripped Desire HD ROM takes nearly all European HD2's NAND it is unusable with internal storage. Squashfsed and stripped versions are good, but I wanted to get as close as possible to unmodified ROM.
Because I'm novice I took gauner1986's HD-FI 0.3 excellent ROM as a base. Basically, only modifications I made are:
Unsqushfsed system
[*]Put back HTC Calculator widget (really missed that one)
[*]Put SoundHound app back. It is usefull as for me, and free version has less restrictions than Shazam
Modified initrd to make use of /data on SD possible
Switched to MDJ's kernel (Looks like gauner1986's kernel does not support ext4, or did something not right with it. Anyhow, it works with MDJ's kernel). Rafpigna kernel now.
Requirements:
European HD2 (LEO1024 users: you do not need this ROM)
MAGLDR 1.13 or newer
PROPERLY PARTITIONED SD CARD
Installation:
First you need to partition your SD card. Process is not different to APP2SD+ method. First partition should be FAT32, second - ext4. Both primary partitions. Detailed guide you can find here. I'm using it with 1GB ext4 partition, and I recommend that size, but you can try any other and report bugs if any.
If you have already partitioned your card, for use with another build, please reformat (clear) your ext4 partition.
Enter MAGLDR (hold power button during boot) and select "Flasher" using "VolUp" and "VolDown" keys. Confirm with "green" button.
Connect USB cable and run DAF.exe. Follow instructions.
Version 1.5 release notes: (detailed description)
You will have to upgrade MAGLDR to version 1.13.
This version includes CWM but you will need to flash DFT installation first. Standard CWM installations are not compatible with this ROM. So providing DFT installer I'm basically saving your time, because if your moving from another ROM you would need to reflash CWM anyway.
Do not apply any kernel update.zip files not from this thread. This ROM using non-standard partition table, so in bright scenario that zips would not work, and in worst case they will render your installation unbootable.
All future updates to this ROM will come as DFT installation (for sure) and deferential update.zip files (highly possible).
Main reason to include CWM was ability to reformat SD card partitions on device. So you do not have to format your card on your PC to do hardreset.
Notices and warnings:
No warranties. I'm not responsible for any damage that can be done to your device or data. Do backup. Always.
I made this for myself, but I think there are people here interested in data partition on SD, so I share this with you. There be bugs, please report back.
This build will not boot if SD card is not preset or if it is not partitioned in right way. This is only downside comparing to APP2SD+. But I intentionally did not provide any checks or options to use storage on NAND, because not much storage is available on NAND after flashing this ROM.
First boot takes more time, as it creates directory structure on /data partition
On slow cards (not SD-HC) there may be warning "System in not responding" during boot. Just tap wait. On my class 4 SanDisk everything is fine.
/data partition on card is left intact when you flash versions of this ROM. So you will be able to upgrade to new versions saving your apps and settings.
On other hand, hardreset does not work. To wipe your data you will have to format ext4 partition using your PC. You can do hardreset using CWM's card formatting features.
Like every other Desire HD ROM after first boot it is slightly laggy. Do all you settings, install some apps, make reboots. It will go away.
Every other note from gauner1986 except sqashfs related are relevant too
Reported that ext4 partitions more than 2GB may cause stability issues. But for some users 3GB works fine. Personally I recommend 1024MB partition. It is stable and more than enough for all your apps. On real Desire HD you would had same amount of storage

Camera app force close if tap "Share" from preview screen. Looks like common issue among Desire HD roms. I'm looking for Camera.apk that will no FC. Meanwhile you can share photos you made from Gallery app. Or use this camera.
Try to set one of included (form HTC Wallpapers list) wallpapers causing "No more memory" message. Actually, I simply forgot to place these wallpapers in ROM image . Please set you own wallpapers from Gallery option until update.
Rooting problems
Wakeup lag (I do not have notable, is it for everyone, or not?)

excelent news. downloading now. can u consider roatating sense in future versions ?

Congrats Andrew, looks promising. I'm still on mdeejay's 1.9 CM7 NAND with S10.1 kernel, and I experience extensive powerdrain - even a constant 54mA when in flight mode.
Could you tell me how your power consumption is? I prefer Desire HD over Gingerbread CM7 but if the powerdrain is the same (as you are using MDJ S10.1 kernel as well) I won't bother flashing (yet...).

Just what i was waiting for! a DHD stock rom with ext4! tryin' right now!

does the ext4 have to be behind the fat32?

yes. First partition should be FAT32, EXT4 should be second

nice this is should be the fastest version!
now all we need is one more version based on gauner squashed v0.2 (only app and framework squashed) with a2sd+

any screen shots

Wow, that´s a lot better than the 28% I lost from 2.20 A.M. until 10:30 A.M this morning.
Any special installation instructions? Should I do a task29 first or can I just flash your version over mdeejay's? And do I get to keep my apps then? (I am using an ext4 partition on my SD card).

You can flash over, and I recommend format your ext4 partition. Anyway, settings from Gingerbread are not compatible with Desire HD

The same result I had with gauner1986 original version. Battery usage may depend on network coverage.
It is not available to flash via CWM, because it needs bigger /system partition

I like the description and idea of this ROM. Going to try it out in the afternoon after work. I guess that USB storage also will function properly with this approach to "data on SD", and that would be a huge advantage.
If the feedback from user are positive I hope that other chefs will follow you, and use the same method for storing user data on SD.

you did it first. still testing mine

andrewf403, i know data2sd should be faster, but at the mercy of the sd card
how hard is it to make a version with a2sd+ based on gauner v0.2 which has less squash and 150MB free?

all connection including data are disabled. per total system is fast after of couple reboots but very big lag on resume , 5-6 sec.

What's Oxygen?
(snippet from AdamG frontpage):
Oxygen ROM is an AOSP source built ROM (ie. not a mod of any sense based ROM), it's minimal, it's superfast and 99.9% bugfree.
After OpenDesire, I wanted to create something unique, as a fellow developer said to me there is no point there being 3 ROMs based around the same code (CM/OD/DF), I grew bored and lost interest in OD because it no longer felt special and it just felt like a race to release the latest CM code against DF, which was 1 pretty lame and 2 damn right depressing. When I initially started OD it was unique and it's popularity grew exponentially as it was the first Froyo AOSP ROM available for the HTC Desire at the time and a real alternative to the dull, dark and nasty HTC bloatware.
Oxygen is not a mod/port of any HTC/CyanogenMod or any other ROM and may not be to everyones liking, it's minimalistic and basic but I'm open to ideas and suggestions for improving the ROM.

custom HBOOT for erasesize 40000 and 20000 now available.
To Check erasesize use the adb command below
Code:
adb shell cat /proc/mtd

All models can now be S-OFF'd
What's S-OFF?
Quoated from the alpharev
HTC implemented security on their newer generation phones. This flag, called @secuflag, controls whether your phone has
it's NAND or flash unlocked. Most noticeably, S-ON (security on) will read-lock your /system and /recovery partition, to name a few. Also, secuflag controls whether zip files being flashed through recovery or fastboot, are signed by HTC.
The now notorious S-OFF (security off) will disable this NAND security.
Since we are unable to access the Radio NVRAM itself (where secuflag is stored), we turned our attention to HBOOT.

Detailed S-OFF instructions by AndroidGX
Once you have S-OFF'ed you can flash a different partition table Ie: data++, Sense, Stock 1.5 and N1Table.
For Oxygen it is recommended to flash OxygeN HBOOT, Although you can flash data++ and N1table with no problems.
OxygeN HBOOT
Their is now a specific Oxygen HBOOT provided by alpharev.nl.
AdamG: I would like to recommend that people who intend
to use Oxygen as their main ROM use the AlphaRev Oxygen HBOOT,
this is a customized HBOOT specifically for Oxygen and features a
massive /data partition, allowing you to install even more apps
than previously possible.

Ext3 partition removal
With the new OxygeN HBOOT their is no longer a need for ext3 (in fact its slower), So to remove it you will need to download something like Gparted to manage the partition tables on your sdcard.
Delete the ext3 partition and completely reformat the card to fat32
Then install the new Oxygen HBOOT,
Then wipe cache's /all,
Then install OxygeN.
Radio
If your using the Oxygen Hboot you WILL need to flash any radios via fastboot!
Using ADB from either a terminal or command line, enter the below...
Code:
fastboot flash radio radio.img
Remember to extract the radio.img from the .zip before hand!
TIP! = Having the radio.img in the tools folder of the SDK, or wherever your adb program is makes life easy..

A: Go to Settings > Apps > Permissions > Clear data for Zeam. Press home, choose Launcher and highlight "use as default" **remember to download another launcher from the market first**
Q: [COLOR='green']Do I need to do a full wipe? [/COLOR]
A: You shouldn't have to if coming from RC7 or DevNull, however if you have any issues with stability or features not working you will be asked to perform a full wipe + reinstall before we can help you.
Q: [COLOR='green']What A2SD does this support? [/COLOR]
A: Oxygen 2.0 supports "froyo style" apps2sd, it also supports A2SD with an EXT3 or EXT4 partition. By default the dalvik cache is not moved to SD for performance reasons - [URL="http://*******/2GapT"]see here[/URL]. D2SD/D2W scripts will work - but please take this up in their respective threads if you have questions to ask.
Q: [COLOR='green']My battery is draining too fast - what the?[/COLOR]
A: This is a peculiarity of GB rom's at this point. Change your wifi settings to never sleep and problem solved - seems a little back to front but it works! (thanks earanor)
Q: [COLOR='green']Why don't some apps show in market - they did before?[/COLOR]
A: In the final release of this ROM the market fingerprint was updated to reflect that you're now running 2.3.3. If an app does not show it means it may not be compatible with Gingerbread - you should contact the App dev regarding this. [URL="http://*******/2Gaq3"]See here[/URL]
Q: [COLOR='green']Why is this missing? [/COLOR]
A: OJ Wake/Track Change/Quiet Hours Google changed alot of the underlying code in the 2.3.3 update which broke a few things. These features are being actively worked on but are currently not functioning - an update will be released at some point to restore these features, but there is no ETA currently. UPDATE - FM Radio is back in 2.0.1 - thanks AdamG
Q: [COLOR='green']Does HTC Sync/ x sense app work with this?[/COLOR]
A: No, and they never will. This is not a HTC ROM - therefore HTC features are not here. Sense apps require massive amounts of framework changes to run and at this point in time it's simply not worth the effort. If you MUST have your sense app - run a sense rom.
Q: [COLOR='green'] My USB transfers are slow/VPN doesn't work? [/COLOR]
A: This is an issue in the latest .37 kernels. Thalamus has kindly updated a .35 kernel to be compatible and is available [URL="http://thalamus.ineige.org/kernels/2.6.35/"]here[/URL]. 2.35.11r5 currently recommended. 2.35.11 build will also fix your VPN - .37 VPN implementation is currently incompatible with Android (thanks _thalamus!)
Q: [COLOR='green']Why can't I see my wireless network?[/COLOR]
A: It's a minor bug in the 2.37.2 kernel launched with Oxygen 2.0.1 - simply update to the latest .37 build[URL="http://thalamus.ineige.org/kernels/2.6.37/"] here[/URL] and all will be resolved. Later releases of Oxygen will include the fixed kernel. (thanks _thalamus).
Q: [COLOR='green']Automatic backlight is too dark - how can i fix?[/COLOR]
A: AdamG posted his fix [URL="http://*******/2Gaqy"]here[/URL] - UPDATE from 2.0.1 auto backlight should be fine so long as you full wipe before install.
Q: [COLOR='green']Where did 720P recording go?[/COLOR]
A: Google did not include 720P recording in the Nexus One 2.3.3 update that AdamG needed to pull video recording from - therefore it's not in here either. Unlike other roms which employ hacks to enable 720P recording, Oxygen is kept clean and hack free to keep your user experience as good as possible. Video quality however IS STILL GOOD! You can't watch 720P back on a Desire screen anyway.
Q: [COLOR='green']Do i need to be S-off or have Oxygen hboot?[/COLOR]
A: No, the rom will work S-on and with any hboot layout. However the recommender set-up is S-off and Oxygen hboot (thanks TheGhost1233)

I have no idea if this will work but worth a go! LINK
But better be safe and Nandroid first!
Also if successful let us know
weird thing about the new market posted above is that if i upgrade it without deleting the old data, it would work fine but if i delete the data of the market, it will begin to fc. it does not happen in the old market. so full wipe + using the new market will certainly fc on me with "requires com.google.android.providers.settings.permission.WRITE_GSETTINGS" in the logcat. this will happen after i accepted the terms and conditions.
Thanks but unfortunately it isn't working, I have allready read the whole forum, all the other post to, and I compared the related files from line to line, caracter to caracter, it is 1:1 like in other roms with working d-pad unlock... but it does not work in 2.3 oxygene:/

The new market is clearly marked under Extras, Its a flashable zip, I actually tested it myself earlier and can confirm its working as intended.
Just boot into recovery, your clockwork mod, and flash just like a rom update!
Hope that helps
wow it's that simple =), thanks man this worked
i flash oxygen w/o wiping. now my htc desire hangs at boot (stuck at the oxygen boot animation).
I cant get to recovery/bootloader menu by holding volume down button (used to be able to).

Go back into recovery and re-flash the RC2 but make sure you Wipe all caches!
Its needed as a new signed test key is used in this build
Is there to be openvpn client for this Rom?
Thanks.
Do you know if it is possible to get the old 2D Gallery that was in the earlier versions of Oxygen on RC2?
I searched through the main oxygen thread and couldn't find anything.

Hi guys,
I'm having a problem:
When I flashed this rom, the homescreen comes and I can login with my gmail account but after that, the phone keeps rebooting. I don't know why. I use a 8gb sd card with 2gb ext4. I only have this problem with Oxygen roms, not with any HD or MIUI roms, but only with the oxygen roms. The oxygen roms are the fastest and best roms, but it keeps rebooting.
Sorry for the bad english.

Thanks I removed Gallery3D and installed the one in the first post and worked fine. The only annoying thing that I've just noticed is that say in launcher pro and you select change icon it puts all the images together instead of showing it in the different folders like it does when you open it up on it's own.
Thanks for uploading it
Thanks for this thread. It would be great if you could add some comments on what each add-on is (e.g gennie widget and black market ??) A link to this post should also be added to main oxygen thread.
Great job!

[16 Jan] MarkinuX CM 6.1e [Very Fast, Very small, App2SD+, ext4, Daily Use]

Hi!
I built thei rom for me self, it's very nice and very fast for daily use.
Working:
Almost All
NotWorking:
Wifi Tethering
I added the app2sd+ mod. To enable it, you have to create a second partition on your sd card. But as first, BACKUP YOUR SD DATA !. The first one has to be the fat32 for data. Second ext2/3/4. 512 Mb should be fine. I have 1.5 GB. If the partition exists, the system is using it for apps and other stuff. You have ca 245 MB Free on /data after this mod. Second good thing, if you install a update, you don't need to reinstall the apps, they are still there. If you don't create the second part, the data is like usually on nand. Automatic detection.
- You need MAGLDR 1.11
- NAND Build
- Kernel is almost stock from our git.
- Android 2.21
- You can create the partitions e.g. wirth gparted in linux (live cd boot for windows), or windows partition tools
- No OC or such stuff
- Interactive gouvernor
- completly cleaned initrd
- correct file rights
- rooted
- new busybox with many new system commands
- Based on DeFroST 6.1a Desire Build
It's made for daily use.
5mA standby
8mA with Bluetooth
For Overclocking use MDJs kernel:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=831585
Simple download, extract, connect phone, run batch.
NEW MarkinuX CM 6.1e:
Changed:
- Fixed BT drain
- Fixed mediaservice problems on boot
- Improved boot speed
http://www.multiupload.com/EXID9E84ZB
MarkinuX CM 6.1d:
Changed:
- Fixed FM Radio
- Improvements for BT
MarkinuX CM 6.1c:
Changed:
- Fixed Bluetooth
- Fixed TS Freezes
MarkinuX CM 6.1b:
Changed:
- Fixed problems on EXT3 partitions
- Auto-Backlight is now better ( not perfect, working on it)
- The GUI, fonts, icons are now smaller. (density=200)
Important:
Use it on your own risk!.
congrats
mhhh too less information for me
Downloading
Can you explain how to create those partitions?
Thanks and a great job
looking great gonna try it

It based on DeFroST 6.1 for Desire, I would say its 6.1.0.
But much stuff changed.
Please make zip version. That would be perfect

[23 JAN] gauner1986's Z-FI 0.1 (Desire Z based) [KERNEL = my own :)]

Hi guys, i'm back from exams with a fresh and funky release
This is the latest version of Desire Z Sense FRG83D - 1.72 (very close to stock). Basically everything is working and I have been using it for a couple of days now.
Speed should be WAY better than on Desire HD ROMs, but still not as fast as stock Desire, comes close though. Costs are some additional trash menu options, like the one for the hardware keyboard and no arrow keys on the on-screen keyboard.
Focus in this ROM is on battery life, free space in NAND and to be close to stock.
I have squashfsed some directories, which saves a lot of space. (Desire Z ROMs are a bit lighter than HD ones, because of the less capable hardware, but still space hungry). Finally got it down to use only 200 MB + (6MB free in /system, because mkyaffs2image does strange stuff), which means you will have ~230MB of storage space available for your user files (if you use the partitioning layout I supplied with the DFT flasher and depending on if you chose to use the EXTROM area/last 24 MB of NAND space in MAGLDR - if you have a TMOUS LEO you will of course have more). This is more than enough in my opinion, no need for apps2sd so far, but i may add it in the future.
You will be able to "overwrite" the squashfsed stuff in lib, framework and app, because i just used deep symlinking there.
Things i have removed (i can remember..):
Maps (it's an outdated version anyway - download a new version from Market)
eReader stuff + eBooks (takes 50 MB or so - WTF, not worth it)
Some commercial stuff
Most of the included wallpapers
All skins except Slate
Notes:
This ROM comes as ODEX-ROM, because that again saves a lot of space, which would otherwise be taken twice (once in davlik cache and once in /system/app / system/framework)
My own kernel is included, based on the latest linux_on_wince_htc git. It has the SMARTASS and INTERACTIVE governor, as well as support for CIFS and EXT4 (for those who need it)
Of course this ROM comes with RMNET enabled. My version of the libhtc_ril_wrapper allows you to choose between PPP and RMNET by file. If /system/ppp exists (create it with touch /system/ppp) then PPP will be used, otherwise RMNET. RMNET is working quite well, so i would suggest you use that.
If you want notifications working, install Led me know from market. I had battery drainage issues with it, so i removed it.
Known issues:
Currently none
Version 0.1 -> Multiupload
Important:
To all those having trouble flashing the ROM with Cotulla's flasher
Please go to Cotulla's thread and ask for help there, this is not the place for this.
Instructions taken from Cotulla:
1. download MAGLDR
2. download NAND Android ROM
3. Install MAGLDR to your LEO (ROMUpdateUtility.exe)
4. Boot LEO and select in the menu "4. USB Flasher"
5. Run DAF.exe on your computer. Do all steps.
6. Wait while it's flashing.
7. After flashing device will make auto-reset.
8. It should boot directly to Android.
9. If any errors happens, please report in Cotulla's thread, which is here.

So finally i want to thank some people.. Without you that all would not have been possible.
* Cotulla: for his great MAGLDR and trusting me while testing it.
* mdeejay: for supplying me with userspace stuff.
* Markinus, LeTama, Rajko and all the other great devs from #htc-linux who contributed
* Everyone else I forgot
Tell me your suggestions for improvements on this ROM in this thread please, not in PMs
If you want to buy me a beer you can do so by clicking the link in my signature. I put a lot of time in all this.
And of course buy Cotulla a beer, without him we wouldn't have come so far in that little time!
Great I will download and test it for you.........
third...... downloading. great work will test sounds good!
Testers please let me know how the call volume is on this ROM.
Thanks!
welcome back! your DHD was a big hit to me. will flash soon
Hey gauner1986, any chance of a non-squashfs'd, non-stripped build for those of us with T-Mobile US devices? Or is it possible to de-squash it ourselves?
The only thing I don't like about the Z series is the rotating homescreens. When they rotate back to port, it's like reloading all the homescreens from fresh and it takes a while. There's always a lag for the screen elements to appear. That's one reason I don't use the imilka Vision ROM and have been waiting for an updated HD.
thanks gauner.. i will download it now ..but please i need u to think to build one on glacier it is more looking and stable
Great TNX,
I will download and try it....
EDIT: would like this rom to support DATA2EXT
good work gauner. Fan of your work!

[MISC] Flashable All-in-one-data2sd-Solution v0.2e + v0.4 test (dec 27th)

Now found this at the HTC Desire forum, but don`t tested
at the moment and don`t know if this works on Desire Z/G2
too!
It seems to be a good solution.
Features:
- Supports: Ext2, Ext3, Ext4 (and if kernel supports it: ) btrfs, ReiserFS
- Supports loop device as optional addon (as siberes data2sd)
- Flashable zip for many app2sd ROMs (no long setup required)
- It does a e2fsck (disk check) on every boot and creates a logfile on the sdcard (/sdcard/e2fscklog.txt)
- looks nice if you do a logcat on boot
- no "settings lost on reboot" bug like in my old or siberes script
- changes the scheduler for the sd-card and internal to noop for better performance on sd.
- Nandroid Backup of EXT2/3/4 external with AmonRa 2.0.0.1 or any clockwork recovery.
- Removes the common app2sd scripts on its own

Hey mate..Thanks for the contribution..I just wanted to ask if there could be any bennefits to using this on a device as DZ..internal memory is more than suufcient and our nand I/O are pretty huge..Back when i had a HTC Desire i used this hack, but i am not sure if this could result in any kind of benefit..Please share ur knowledge/point of view i am interested.
Awesome I might test later... Although like what Chris said, The I/O speeds are pretty fast already
did anyone test this out

Well if you have a class 6 or better sdcard then it will be faster then internal memory that's the only real benefit that I could think of!
Sent from my HTC Vision
Sorry to ask, but i really don't understand this..? what is this about? creating more virtual memory or what is it?
thx
I tried this and it kept causing a boot loop for me.... but I realized later that I think if I had mounted data and cache, like you do for GB gaps it probly would have worked.... just a suggestion. Also there is another all in one data/cache/dalvikcache to sd-ext option that I am testing now.... but I can't remeber were I found it. I think it is called dtappstosd or something like that. And is from the developer dark something...........
EDIT ok he is called dark tremer and it can be found by searching for apps2sd or datasd
EDIT: I should have said mount system/and data.....
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
This is a good idea and good find however, since we have Darktremors a2ext for the G2 and it does data2sd I don't see a huge need for this.

[ROM]Orange Glacier [v2.0.0] -Stock Variant on EXT4 - Faux123 [May-15-2011]

Re-Introduce Orange Glacier 2.0.0
The reason I created this ROM is NOT TO COMPETE with anyone else, it is mainly for myself. I wanted a light weight ROM that's STABLE and FAST but I also wanted to try something slightly different.
I WON'T BE Updating this ROM unless something is Seriously WRONG with it...
(I WON'T BE taking FEATURE REQUESTS and such, most can be added by yourself from various mods found in the Theme and Apps sub forum )
So here it is: Orange Glacier ?!?!?!?
Why the name:
Because ClockworkMod Recovery (3.0.0.5+) for Gingerbread is colored Orange for EXT 4 partitions and since this ROM uses EXT 4 File System (FS) as its primary FS, I decided to name it this way.
So what is in this Orange Glacier?
1. Completely rebuilt from Stock Image
2. Uses exclusively EXT 4 FS
3. Moved all optional Apps to /data/app partition for easy uninstall (including most Google Apps)
4. Rooted, /system set to RW by default
5. Deodexed, Zip aligned all /system/apps and framework files using ROM kitchen from fellow XDA member.
6. Dalvik memory boosted from default 24MB to 36MB
7. Few CFS tweaks
I want to Thank the following:
TeamSilence for inspiring me to start it all,
Pack for the awesome battery mods,
dsixda for the easy to use ROM kitchen (highly recommended to anyone interested in cooking their own ROM, it CAN'T be easier than what he provided)
Installation:
The File ==> Orange Glacier Version 2.0 <==
WARNING: The INSTALLER WILL ERASE ALL USER DATA AND SYSTEM DATA!!!
Requirement: MUST HAVE CLOCKWORKMOD RECOVERY 3.0.0.5+
1. Reboot into recovery
2. Wipe Cache Partition
3. Install zip from SDCard
4. Once installation is completed, select Reboot System Now
Note: Upon first reboot may take up to 4~6 mins.
The following pre-installed Apps will need to be updated MANUALLY from Market by searching for their names:
Google Search
Youtube
Google Maps
T-Mobile MyAccount
T-Mobile TV
Qik Video Chat
TwonkyMobile
Google Street
All Built-in Games (Monopoly, NFS etc)
or they can all be easily un-installed because they are NO LONGER System Apps.

There's nothing special about this ROM.. It's mainly stock with the tweaks I mentioned in the OP...
stock is good for my battery i need battery more than fancy animations and all this gingerbread stuff
Sweet! Downloading now. Thanks Faux!
BTW, are there any known bugs/issues Faux?
Everything you have done is so amazing, so everything you do, we would pay special attention~~Tky Faux!!
nothing wrong basically itsstock with a few additions like battery mod and lil visuals here and there and speed up alot i dont feel no lag at all everything works idk bout ffc on qik cause my girl dont have but evrything is good to go
Well, this ROM gives me the best data speeds i have ever had. Unfortunately, every time that i reboot, it erases all of my screens. not sure why and OP says no support for this ROM. So i guess i will flash something else. It pains me to have to give up the data speeds.

He actually stated no support unless something serious is wrong. That seems pretty serious if happening to others as well. I would love to load a "de-bloatwared" stock image with good speed and full functionality. I can't wait to hear more feedback on this one.
