uhm so I need a rooted device to access this, right? there's no other way?
Sorry, my bad.
I didn't mean you need to root the phone. I meant starting from the directory root.
Using OI File Manager, tap on the home icon "A house" then tap system folder then app folder (should be first).
the apk is stored in /data/app/, app data is stored in /data/data/

HELP: Can't write to internal storage?

Whenever I try to move a file to internal storage when I connect my phone to laptop, it won't let me transfer. Same thing when trying file explorers on my phone.
ARHD, Elemental Kernel, S-off?
"Won't let me" means exactly what?
Maybe your firewall is blocking it?
Does your device show up as media device in WinExplorer?
What kind of files and size?
Have you tried Superbeam or Airdroid = transfer over WiFI?
Or even better: set up a shared folder (shared with everyone) on your laptop's C: drive, get File Manager HD or ES Explorer on your phone and transfer files via the network share.

I cannot write any files to my Viper4Android folder that I'm supposed to be allowed to (put IRS files in there). Computer and ES Explorer won't let me copy to that folder.

Check the folder's permissions. Long press and details
You sure the folder is not on the system partition which is write protected?
Post it's path

Nope - files are supposed to be copied there.
It says readable and writable :S
I can't even delete the folder. This makes no sense!

Do you have TWRP? Boot into it and under Advanced choose 'fix permissions'.

It worked with ES file manager. You have to enable "Root explorer" in the settings of ES file manager

Moving Apps to /system

Hello. I've rooted and installed twrp on my 5T. One app I use that I needs to be moved to the system to function correctly fails to move. I've tried an app mover from the Play Store but I get an error saying Could not remount /system
Has anyone seen this before? It happens on all apps I try to move.
Same here (FreedomOS), hence I move them manually :good:

Use a root capable file explorer (like Root Explorer, Solid Explorer etc.), create directory in /system/apps, use correct permissions, copy app in the folder, set permissions as well, reboot.
File = rw-r--r-- https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/4pcrv0t4ppbernc/Screenshot_20171210-142247.jpg
Folder = rwxr-xr-x https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/jsivbpd3qn5ctvj/Screenshot_20171210-142235.jpg
