Not for me but maybe someone needs it.

LOL that looks ridiculous, but i guess it can be useful

lol looks like a throw back to the brick phone days

holy crap balls batman.. Nothing like doubling the thickness of the device.. I can see where it would be handy for someone on like a cross country drive in a car with no charger.

lmao!!
is it for real or just a fake video...

WTF??? Lol. It looks horrible. At least it can be used as a weapon.

WHAT THE HELL? That is just over kill. I really see no point in a 3200 mah battery. That is just insane! Besides it makes it look like and old Motorola flip, minus the flip. TOO BIG FOR ME.
(Wait I am from Texas, did I really say it was TOO big? I thought everything was bigger down here)

It's real. Both Mugen and Seido (and some others I think) make these monster batteries. Usually you see a picture though, and you can't really get a feel of how big the battery really is. Good lord.
I think I'd rather just bring an extra battery with me, if I need to.
The ebay charger I bought allows you to charge two batteries at once anyway.

I hope the person in the video is woman because those fingernails are just too damn long.

I'll buy this before a zombie evasion. Or, to lesser extreme, I'll buy this before I on some safari where I might be in the wild for more than a few hours...

it is me or it looks like most people use the smart phones as dumb phones ?? to have long battery life? myTouch 4g only last around 7 hours on light use and have to recharge for 1/2 hour at lunch. this is on 2 phones so i don't think is the battery's

Well I basically use my phone for everything and all throughout the day. I browse Facebook a lot. Listen to music. Play games. Surf the internet. Download apps. Just pointless things to keep me entertained at home.

Thats what I did. Ordered a charger with 2 batteries. Going into town is usually a all day thing and having no phone to play with sucks.

No that is terrible advice. Charge cycling Li-Ion batteries destroy them, not increase battery life.
@OP: The only thing you need to do is make sure you let the phone charge for 7-8 hours after you put in the battery. After that, no conditioning is required. However, if at a later date you notice your Vibrant is not properly reading the battery (i.e. it goes from 100->90 really quickly, but goes from 90->80 more slowly, etc.), you will need to calibrate the battery to your device by completely draining the battery and charging it. Take note that this charge cycle will not increase battery life -- it will only make your Vibrant read the battery properly.
BTW Would it be possible for you to take picture of how much fatter the battery makes your phone?
Where did you buy this battery from? Looking to get my hands on a good one.

Vibrant BiONYX 3.1/ brama
I got it from ebay and it fits perfect. If you have patience you can order through the seller below. Im in north florida and it took almost 3wks to get to me. Theres also another seller from US but he wants $30 for the exact same battery. He claims that the batteries from china are crap, he is lying. This is the seller he orders them from.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Extended-2800mA...AU_MobilePhoneAccessories&hash=item20b526b7e9
Greatest investment ever. I might be able to take pictures tomorrow. Currently my battery is at 40% and have been running for 1day 3hr 17mins as of this post. And an app im using batteryleft from Eugenes r11 stats time left is 11hrs.
Under battery use through the settings. Displays at 60%, Voice calls at 40%, Cell Stand by is at 20% Phone idle at 5%, and I made a mistake leaving wifi on all day.
Size is really a personal preference. I adds the needed weight to the phone, and makes it extremely easy to hold. The Vibrant with original cover/battery would slip out of my hands when it was naked and the rubberize battery cover solves that.
I use my phone for music in my car and at work through default music app/slacker/pandora and now I can lay my phone on its back and the speaker is not blocked.
Ive had all my friends, coworkers etc look/hold it and they all like the way it feels and that it fits perfectly in your hand. All in all, im someone who is always playing with my phone and now I getting a little more then double the battery life.
My usually day:
20+ 5min phone calls
Playing angry birds throughout the day
20+emails
15-20txt
web surfing/tapatalk/xda app
watch some youtube
listen to music at work/car 3-4hrs
wasnt connected by wifi was on for most of the day
My Main reason for getting the extended battery-3g on ALLDAY
extended battery+r11 great battery life.
pictures, sorry there from my girls iphone4. Bic lighter for size comparison. Most people who consider phones bricks feel like moto razr to me. Not for folks that wear skinny jeans lol. BUt as big as it looks its truly not that bad. I will probably buy an extended battery with every future phone I buy. I was one who always thought ext batteries were ugly but now I am a believer.
If you dont have the patience, this is the same battery but always us sellers have to make a profit. He orders from guy above. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130448289815&ssPageName=STRK:MEBOFFX:IT

1700mAh Battery Replacement from Ebay...

Have anyone tried this yet? Planning to get one but is it really 1700mAh... about 20% more than original battery... should last throughout the day
Can't post the link but you can search for it in ebay....
Don't do it. Usually those off brand batteries are complete junk. Even if its cheap, its a waste of money.
Thanks I was about to get one. I got the 3500maH for my old vibrant and it seemed not 3500 so I guess this one will be the same

I haven't tried the 1700 mAh ones, but I do have 3 of the standard size ones that I got off Ebay for a few bucks each. I'd say they probably have 80-90% of the capacity of the stock battery. I think that's pretty good considering the price. If I needed an extra battery, I'd consider trying it out.
Get a standalone battery charger and always keep one in the charger, so that when your battery dies, you can just swap them out. That way you never have to plug your phone in with the micro usb cable and risk breaking the jack.

I bought those for my first mt4g and you are right, the capacity was only about 80 or 90%. I sold them along with my first mt4g. I would not mind getting another pack but the problem is I'm using the tmobile prestige case the one with the kick stand. It's so hard to pry the case off to change the battery. em2 very interesting find as aware that TB used 1400mAh battery but not same size as our MT4G. Far as stock size battery goes I am aware of the current Mugen Power 1650mAh being better than of that Seidio Innocell 1600mAh. The link you provided is 2x1700mAh for $35 which is still better than current MP1650mAh for $46. Do you have any information regarding the company that built the battery? I don't want to buy 2 as I just need 1 as I don't plan to take off my case to replace it. If you be kind enough to provide some testing for us folks we would be grateful or ill have to go with MP1650mAh as I am not big fan of Innocell.
Will the battery in the OP's ebay link fit/work in a myTouch4G with stock battery door?

Well first of all I need detail regarding the battery itself as I want to check the company out. Which would determine the build quality and durability in long run. Far as the test goes stock 1400mAh vs TB 1700mAh I would like for you to first fully discharge it and recharge it so its calibrated. Then have blacklight 100% bright and CPU running highest that you can handle. Have wifi, life wallpaper, widgets on. Then pick a HD video and let it play till your battery runs out to 1% and shuts down. Make sure you record the data along with time for result. When you compare the duration of both B(1700mAh)-A(1400mAh) you will get the time elapsed. I know thats alot to ask but I really do want to put this test and compare it with MugenPower/Seidio Innocell, thanks.

Hey, I realize this is a lot to ask, but I really need some help fixing some things around my house. I have a hole in the drywall in my master bathroom. Could you come to my house in Atlanta, GA and patch it up for me? I'm out of drywall patches, but fortunately, there's a Home Depot that you'll pass on your way here. Also, there is a stain in the carpet in my living room. I've tried and tried for hours to remove it, using everything from the cheap cleaner that I got at the local grocery store all the way up to using pure ammonia, which made me really sick. Do you think you could come over and clean it for me? If not, maybe you could stop in Dalton (it's local, only about 100 miles north of my house) and pick me up some new carpet. Also, by the time you get here, I'll probably be pretty hungry. Think you could stop and pick up some dinner? I like Mexican food. Three beef soft tacos and a plate of cheese nachos would be great! I know that's a lot to ask, but I really do want all this stuff, thanks.

No, it's just a menu option to view battery usage.
I can vouch for this battery, it freakin rocks! & It's a few bucks cheaper now, I got it at $15 shipped a while back.
I was on Fasty 2.3 when I tested the battery, medium usage overall...heavy texting though.
Edit: Hmmmm....now that I see that picture, I wonder why my phone didn't include stats for my WiFi or calls or stuff like that. Weird.
Not to be a Debbie-Downer, but out of four of these that I have received, only one seems to put out more juice that the OEM batt. That being said, I love the one that works!
I ordered a pair of these from ebay. One wouldn't hold a charge for more than a few minutes. I contacted the seller and told them that one of the batteries was bad. They ended up sending two more as a replacement. Out of the four, one is great (I would guess maybe 2500 mAh?), one is around the same as the OEM battery, one I get constant reboots with, and the one that doesn't hold a charge.
I love my one that works. It was well worth it for the price, but clearly there are some quality issues going on.
thinking about getting one of these if I go on a larger trip. I allready have a spare 1650mAh Battery though.

It's just good to know I can use my phone heavily and not run out of battery before the day's end. Of course if you're playing graphic intense games then that will never be possible.

I received my bad boy today. I cut my rubber case so it protrudes out, and I honestly don't mind it. It makes holding the phone somewhat nicer, than a flat brick. I charged it for only 2 hours, but now i'm letting it go for 8. Then i'll wipe stats and whatnot. But it's pretty damned nice so far. When I received it, it was at 45%, and it took atleast two hours of 3d games to bring it to 25%. I'm really amazed this was $10, and I paid for faster shipping ($5).
It seems really worth the price, and I would like to thank the poster again for mentioning this.

You're very welcome. I'm glad you are having good results also. I've been using this for about a week now, still getting great performance.
I can attest to this battery as well. It just wont die. I have had it for the last 3 days, and each charge cycle that I give it brings more time to the battery. I went from being at 32% after a full day on the stock battery with moderate usage, to 60% with this battery today on heavy to almost excessive use. I'm talking, videos on youtube, Downloading apps, texting, calling, music ect. All of this is on Fasty II 2.1 and its just incredible to see my phone go for so long now.
Just ordered mine But going to use latest Stable of Miui
I can also attest to the excellant performance of this battery. I just got mine last night. First thing I did was charge it with the phone off to 100%. I played 3d games for about 30 minutes, watched a 2 hour movie, about 30 minutes of internet browsing, used gps for 30 minutes on my way to work this morning, and have been listening to pandora for the pass 2 hours and I'm at 52%!!! My previous battery would have been DEAD by now. For 15 bucks this battery is a no brainer! I'm sure as others have posted that the battery life will only improve once I calibrate it and charge it a few more times.
Thanks to the OP.
I can get over a day on the stock battery!

Pic doesn't really speak for anything. From the looks of that your phone had screen on time of about an hour maybe? Our stock battery can do that
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Not that good at all. I'm pulling similar numbers with the Nexus extended battery which is a 2100mah and does NOT make the phone fatter at all.
the screen doesnt take that much battery, its the polling of data that is taking energy, i know i stream tune-in radio for about 2 hours everyday (drive to and from work) and ussually if i have a stock battery i'll be down to 84% just to drive to work, by about 4-5pmpm it be almost dead just as i arrive at the house.
I know for a fact if you live in area where reception are bad, this battery will ultimately get me through the day, as if you have the stock battery it will be dead by noonish, polling data is a big deal that's why Juice defender works so well because, it bassiclly put your phone into airplane mode and therefore conserve battery.
o and I dont Dim my screen, or do anything that would hinder the purpose of a smart phone. been using this battery since it came out and it's worth it, I cant imagine having anything less. the size is not a factor at all, even my friend who is into ecstatic (dont know why, its a ****ing phone) he even admit that it's not that big, it might weight a bit more but to me that makes it more firm in my hand.

Where do you purchase yours from? And how much?

70 bucks from seido site
Not too impressed. I hit 30 hours with Eugene's CM7 ROM with moderate use on a stock battery. Wish they would come out with something that G2x extended battery on eBay that sold for 10 bucks and would give you like 3 days lol

i guaranteed you either hinder the performance of your smart phone alot to get where it is...
you either
A. dont use data, and use wifi
B. no synching
C. your screen brightness is down to 10%
D. you dont use your phone at all
E. all of the above
there is no way in hell you could get 30 hours on stock battery with "moderate" use...if moderate is define as not touching your phone every 3 hours then yes.

the screen doesnt take that much battery, its the polling of data that is taking energy

New battery, insane battery performance

I've gone through a number of batteries and long story short, they've all sucked. Even the original stock battery was crap. I've been using this battery for almost 4 weeks and I've been getting absolutely stellar battery life. I'm well beyond that initial conditioning phase.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2450mAH-EB6..._Cell_Phone_PDA_Batteries&hash=item4ac2c14f8b
2450mah. I'm usually skeptical of higher mah ratings as you can only cram so much juice into a given form factor, but I'm left wondering if lion chemistry has really improved this much. Ever so slightly thicker than a standard stock battery (same size as the 2100mah andida if anyone else had one), but fits the stock battery back w/ a bit of manipulation. E4GT is stock GB27 (w/ root). I'll get more screenshots now that I'm really paying attention to performance.
I'm getting consistent 4hours+ of screen on time while actively using the phone. 2 google accounts, sync enabled, no kernel tricks, 'auto' screen brightness (not lowest), haven't even disabled useless apps, etc.
Sample size will soon be 2; i've ordered a 2nd battery for my wife's phone so I'll compare once it gets here.
tldr: 4+, could probably eek out 5 hours of active screen on phone use w/ a standard size (non-ugly hump) battery.
Nice I can barely get 1 hour of battery life from mine.

How's the battery holding up now about 6-7 weeks since you got it? Still really good battery life? When you do about 4-5 hours of screen time how many hours of battery life are you getting? Also what rom are you on? And how does your wife's battery that you ordered compare? Sorry for the 21 questions, but thanks

I'm wondering this too.
im also wondering if this is legit...not a bad investment for $7 but it wouldnt even be here for another month. I just got an epic 4g for $50 and am super satisfied with it (coming from the beast Note 2)...I'm actually surprised with its performance all around EXCEPT for the battery life. I do realize the battery and phone are close to 2 years old which is why im looking into a new battery.....
but really, selling my note 2 for 400 and picking this up for 50 is prob the best investment I ever made, saving my upgrade for "the next next big thing" :good:

I'm curious as well.. OP please deliver!!
I bought 2 of these for $10 about 2 weeks ago and so far so good. With 4g, bluetooth, and gps on all day, I get about 14 hrs (with 3.5-4hrs screen time) and still have about 15% before putting it to charge. Great deal

So you been using it for 2 weeks? Is it really a stock sized battery - will fit with otterbox? Think I might get it... 4 hours screen time is excellent
I'm on Calks EL29, so not a JB rom, but yes 2 weeks. Its a little tight, so I took the label wrap off to save some thickness.

Is it able to fit inside the phone without having to buy a replacement back?
Yes, you still use the same stock back the phone came with, its just tighter.
The only question in my mind is longevity, as I have purchased some knockoff batteries (sold as Samsung OEM with almost identical labeling as the original battery), that started to degrade within a month and now are useless except for short term emergencies.
Most people on these forums swear by Anker batteries, which I've never tried, but I still have Ferocity Mobile batteries (bought on ebay but no longer sold) which are still going strong. They just dont hold a candle to these 2450s,so they are my backup batteries now (have two Epic Touch phones in the family).
I will report back periodically on how they are performing over time.

Would you or OP be able to do a test on those 2450 batteries that OP has? Do you have the same type of battery as OP? If so could you please run a streaming netflix 3g test on it and see how long it runs till it drains from 100 to zero. I'm a HEAVY user on my phone and that would be the closest way to gauge it to my usage even though i don't stream video all day lol. Thank you
Yes, same battery as the OP.
Link the test and I'll try it.

Well there's really no test link. I meant if you could just drain it under heavy usage and post a picture of the Battery usage and then the screen on time. Thanks
I'm not a Netflix guy.
Bottom line: Its cheap and gets to you fairly quick considering China, so why not take a shot if you need a battery?

You're right and it does fit in the original battery cover which is awesome. For the conditioning what did you do? Did you do a full discharge then recharge 6 times?
Bought two

Figured it was worth a shot since it is so cheap.Any recommendations for methods or software to calibrate? Just charge/discharge cycles as listed above or something else?

Callibratimg doesn't do anything useful. It doesn't hurt either but it is pointless.

How about calibrating a bigger battery? I have the QCell 4100 and I was told to calibrate it everytime I pull it off the charger at 100%.

Callibratimg does nothing for the battery. It clears the battery stats. That's it. A reboot does the same thing.
