bluetooth headphones - Xoom Accessories

Would bluetooth headphone work with the xoom. I would love not having the wire in the way.

i use my Motorola s9hd. Works well.

are they the ones with the ipod adapter?

i use a set of jabra headphones they work great.

+1 for Motorola S9 even though mine arent the HD they still work great.

Is the moto S10-HD the update from the S9-HD?? Looking at them on the moto website.
Thinking for getting those hopefully if I give moto CS a call I can get he 25% for the OCNNSB25
coupon that was suppose to expire mar 15th

I know this wasnt the question asked and so it wont apply but I just wanted to tell someone
Firstly I have owned three different wireless headphones (inc. Moto, rocket fish, altrec) all around 100$ and the quality of all of them was disappointing. I know wired headphones are a different product category but I have to tell someone, today I got these phones a friend recommend nuforce ne-6. They are only 30 dollars and the sound quality is just amazing. They are worth buying just to have around. I know ill break these eventually as I do all my headphones so ill probably get a few spare.

Bluetooth headset recommendations...

I'm looking at the idea of getting a bluetooth headset for riding my bike (the self propelled kind, not a motorbike). I'm not keen on the idea of paying ~$AU100 for something I find is useless, so Im after people's experiences and suggestions.
I'm mostly looking at this for listening to music, so first up if that's a no-go, then I need to know that (I'll be using a BlueAngel).
So, yeah... Any suggested models and any to avoid?
i'm using bluetake
http://www.bluetake.com/products/BT420EX.htm
i'm happy with it
I'm using a pair of Motorola HT820s (kinda heavy, but your ears go numb after a while and you forget it), which serve me well and sound good, but has a CSR chipset so i get easy clipping for A2DP, my coworker uses some BlueWalker ones and he says they're nice, they're lighter than the Motos, but still loud enough. A2DP on those, don't know the chipset though.
Unfortunately, for <$100, you're going to have to go for some dodgy yum-cha solution from Hong Kong, off ebay for 5c and $45 in shipping.
I've been looking around, and decided on the HP Bluetooth Stereo Headphones. I don't want voice functionality, and the HT820's look a little big. I ordered them yesterday, but there are reports of people getting them working with my phone (O2 Mini). Don't look dorky, but don't have wires. Only problem is that people report that the neck cracks, but with enough whining you can get them replaced through warranty. Toshiba are also selling the same headphones rebadged, but they're not out in Australia (yet).
Oh, those HP headphones are $99 from HP, free shipping (for the time being).

Not necessarily; CompUSA occasionally has the Moto HT820 in the $75-$80 range. I picked up a set there for $70 about 6 weeks ago.
nXZen Plus from Gennum works great
I picked up the nXZen Plus after listening to their demo on their web site of their Extreme noise canceling. Works great, lots of extra pieces to make it fit comfortable. Also supports stereo and comes with a extra Mini plug for your second ear. plug the wire from the mini plug into the back of the Bluetooth Headset & you have stereo. Comes with both AC charger & USB charging cable. Bought mine from Compusa. The sales clerk did not know they had them. I show him their web site with the demo. Cost was $ 129.95. I would not have paid that much for my first bluetooth headset, but this is my third and last headset.
Me and Jed D`Lagged were talking $AU, not $US. Jed D`Lagged didnt mention currency, but did mention Australia. I specified $AU in my first post also.
I was going to order the HP headphones earlier today, but didnt because I decided I also want to buy a laptop from HP aswell, but cant afford to this week.
This one named iTech has great sound quality and is in a small form factor, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=9121031457. I used to use iPhono one, the sound is good but the size is big so this iTech is the only one I found that it's best for both worlds.
I got the HP headphones, and they work "great".
There are still issues (cuts off start of song while it reconnects, occasionally skips) but I'm pretty sure those are stack issues as opposed to issues with the headphones.

Headphones

Im looking for headphones that have music seek controls (forward and back), pause, and a mic. They have to be compatible with the Atrix, as my nexus headphones are not.

Sony Ericsson MW600. Bluetooth headphones that work pretty well with the Atrix.
you need to make sure you have compatible software (music player) - there are only 4 wires (connections) - left and right audio, mic, and ground - putting more buttons doesn't change this fact.
Something has to interpret what connections you are making and breaking and turn that into actions.

I use these for both travel, and to drown out noise at work while I am constipating deeply:
Motorola S9-HD
So far I have had 5 hours battery life on a full charge, despite reading previously that a full charge was 2-1/2 - 3 hours. Now I have had time to really use them I have found it to be good. Also, the mic, although in one of the earpieces has had good feedback as far as people hearing me on calls. Atrix battery barely drains while using these over bluetooth.

I have the original S9 headphones, this 'sport headset' stopped working because of moisture while using at the gym. I just put them in a box, but discovered that this is a major and longstanding issue that Motorola refuses to address. Sound familiar?

I hear the S10 headphone are horrendous. The reviews on amazon are bad.
I have a S9-HD (came from moto warranty), and they are pretty good with Atrix. My previous phone seemed to hate them. Coudln't get a foot away without it cracking out. Seems to work okay with Atrix.
Just make sure you buy them from moto or amazon... there are a lot of fakes.
Other ones I like are the HT820's from moto, but I don't htink they sell them anymore. They are kind of big (and hurt your ears until you get used to them), but they have amazing range and like 15 hours of battery.

I have some S10s. Had a set of S9s before that. Sound reproduction on both isn't the best but as functional devices they are excellent. For good quality a headphone rather than an earphone is the way to go.
Only real downside is that the earbuds tend to ping off in your bag.
Haven't had any issues with moisture either. Even dropped my S9s in the sink once and they were fine afterwards.

I still haven't figured out why they won't work. My wife picked up a set of Bose headphones from Sam's for her iPhone and the button works on my Atrix, but the stock iPhone headset doesn't.
Its most likely proprietary, like everything apple makes is.

[Q] Bluetooth headphones for running/working out

Well my old sony headphones that I use for the gym/running are on its last legs... I'm thinking to buy a pair of bluetooth headphones for this purpose. I looked online and ran across the Jaybird Freedom (JF3) headphones and they seem like they are pretty good. Does anyone have any experience with them? http://www.jaybirdgear.com/jf3/
what are some bluetooth headphones you guys have used and recommend/do not recommend? also any bluetooth dongles for a first gen ipod touch that you use/recommend?
I plan on using these bluetooth headphones with my phone (Nexus one), ipod touch (1st gen), and probably laptop (dell studio xps 16). Also using them for calls when driving...
any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
bump... any help?
It might be me, but I can't even get music over bluetooth on my wildfire like I use to on my Nokia, so you may be stuck with a wired headset if from what I've experienced this may not work.
SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! Go to BestBuy, get the Rocketfish Behind-the-Head Bluetooth Stereo Headphones - RF-BTHP02 and buy the purchase protection plan. 2 years worth of brand new headphones!!!
I use this
Well i still use my old motorola bt0035 and they still work perfect not to mention the batt life its crazy on music 8 hr and stand by a couple off days
I've got a pair of the j3 and they are very good indeed. Look nice and feel great after you have sorted the earbuds out.

I bought the jaybird headphones and like them so far.... only problem is that my ears aren't the same size and I cant seem to figure out the right size for my left ear. my right ear is small, but left feels smaller and I'm already using the smallest size. But while working out it felt like the left ear was going to fall out couple times, but when I got home and tried the medium size, it felt too big...
In my opinion, all the bluetooth headphones are suitable for running. LOL
I say the motorola S9-HD's
you can get em for $44 on newegg

I use the Moto S305 headphones. Bought them 2 years ago for $40 Canadian fit well for me and decent range (prob 20-30 ft or more if you have the sight line)
The audio quality is acceptable...Not alot of bass but acceptable for a headphone(i listen to techno/dance/alternative)
i get roughly 8-10 hours before i need to recharge ( so once a week as i commute 2 hours a day)
hard to beat for the price - paid 40 dollars Canadian.
I did try some sony full can headphones(not sold anymore) and they had much better bass(expected) but costed 99.99 so i settled with the cheaper option. There were also a few in ear sets but i personally cant stand ear buds(dont like the feeling)

i second the jaybird freedoms. i tried the moto ones and they actually hurt my head. i wore them an entire 10 minutes before i decided they weren't for me. i picked up the freedoms in place and there's been no issues with them. my only minor grievance is they charge with a mini usb, it would have been so much easier if they used micro since that's pretty much the standard now.
I bought the lg tone hbs-700 bt headset and im liking it pretty well. I work for a telephone company as a service tech so im always out and about, it serves me well
only thing i wish is that it would have more bass i haven't tried using a program to set the eq yet ive owned them for about 3 weeks and use them everyday what i really like about them is that they work great for making phone calls even in the wind i can put the band under my shirt and the people can hear me fine and it cuts the wind out.
I have a pair of Beats Wireless by Dre, i was quite skeptical but they last an incredibly long time and recharge quickly. audio quality is superb as well as range between both my Macbook pro and Galaxy Nexus LTE. the only issue at the moment is on some older Bluetooth types (anything below 3.0) the audio stutters. The company is troubleshooting the issues. (my father works there). they are a little pricey (280$) but I'm really happy with mine, they are comfortable and look stylish too. I get lots of comments at work!
Check out the Tenqa REMXD Bluetooth headphones if you're looking for a style like Beats. They're only $39 with free shipping on Amazon.

Headphones for Pixel 2 XL (Type C and Bluetooth)

Hey fellows,
using a Galaxy s7 edge since 1.5 years with a 3.5mm Headphonejack, I have to rethink, how to hear music on my Pixel 2 XL.
Tbh i dont like to use 3.5mm headphons with the adapter because of comfort and sound quality.
Thats why I would like to have a nice wired (Type C) or / and good bluetooth in-ear headphones.
Im looking for cheap but good sounding earphones. Any hints?
Actually i guess im going to get Meizu EP51 as bluetooth earphones for running and gym. And now im searching for great wired type c phones.
Let me know, which one you'll get.
Regards!
for Bluetooth go with a good aptx or aptx-hd headphones/earphones

I'm in the same market, but am waiting to see what happens in the Google Assistant space. Googles website lists a few of the newer premium models that will support Google Assistant, but only some are in stock.

Libratone Q Adapt BT (over ear)
Other models from AiAiAi and Master and Dymanic are coming soon, but most of them are over ear. There's a full list here.

Bluetooth 5 has a range 120 to 140 feet, as apposed to 33 feet with most 4.1 bluetooth devices. But you will need a bluetooth device that matches the bluetooth accessory to get the distance. There are also other enhancements such as multiple devices can be used at the same time. I read an articel on this a few weeks ago. I hope my memory has given you some big enhancements with bluetooth 5.

Bose sound sport wireless for the win. They are awesome sound quality. 150 bucks. In my opinion the new truly wireless 250 dollar ones aren't worth it.
I bought these when I was waiting on my Essential to come, and they actually worked really well. Wasn't sure about the whole noise cancelling thing, but since they don't need to be charged separately (the phone powers the noise cancelling), I figured I would give them a shot. Really liked them, but ended up returning the Essential in favor of the 2 XL, so now I'm just hoping they're compatible, but I'm hoping that won't be an issue...they're not the most comfortable, since they have the large rubber things so they stay in place for active folks (I'm not one of them), but I got used to them. And the noise cancelling and ambient noise feature are actually pretty useful. But they've been sitting dormant since I returned the Essential and came back to good old Shamu (If only I could find a reverse 3.5mm -> USB-C adapter hahah). The fact that I got them for like $80 (down from $200 which is just ridiculous) made it a pretty good deal in my mind. The 17th can't come soon enough!
PS I wanted earbuds and didn't want wireless, or anything that needed to be charged, but the options seem to be extremely limited at this point

Yep, I love mine. They sound REALLY good for just being little earbuds. I've had very nice over-ear headphones, currently have a pair of AiAiAi's, and the fit beats are pretty good! Jump rope is the only thing I've found that makes them budge. Floor workouts, everything else they don't move.

Another agreed, they are excellent for my HIIT cardio workouts and reasonable price!
I love my PowerBeats 2. I previously tested a bunch of different Bluetooth headphones for the gym and these are the only ones that stay in my ears consistently and have excellent sound. Battery life is around 8 hours and the Bluetooth connection distance is quite good. I can put my phone on a ledge and work my way through a ~100ft area for the weights and never lose signal.
If I decide to go with the Pixel 2 XL (still debating) I'll be getting the PowerBeats 3 for the gym and leave my PowerBeats 2 at my office desk. One area of contention with the loss of the headphone jack is that I work from home full time and have various clients calling me multiple times a day. So I usually have a set of wired headphones sitting on my desk that I can quickly plug in before answering the phone. With the 2 XL I won't have that option so I'll resort to the PowerBeats 2 to always be ready to quickly turn on and pair.
For those wondering, the PowerBeats 3 are essentially the same as the previous generation but with an even greater Bluetooth signal range and longer battery life.
I have been using the Samsung Gear Circle for years. They sounds great, stay in my ear while at the gym and the battery seems to last forever.
