As above i'd like to have a button remapping in my desire because i've some problem with vol- , trackball and menu keys and now my desires boots just in safe mode.
Maybe if could remapping these keys i can hope to solve my problem.

I need to disable ALL HW buttons on my MDA. I can delete section in registry and disable programmable buttons, but how can I disable "phone" buttons, volume and power button (if possible)?
And is any way how to detect that user has pressed power off button and cancel this action before OS "shut down"?

does anybody know a program to map the power button to a different button lik the OK-button to switch an MDA III on and off as the power button is broken?

Power button mapping
I've tried Vijay 555 to assign power on/off to another button, but it has not worked. I need to map on/off elsewhere, whilst having the button lock option, as my normal Blue Angel power button is broken.
Have I used the software correctly? Is there a way of re-mapping power button AND having button lock still not allow any other button to power the device up?
Any help would be great - whilst I carry on searching the site!!

Can someone help with a how to on assigning functions to the home and back buttons on the HD.
I've been able to map the other buttons, Volume up/down, call & hang-up.
Just thought while typing this, is it possible to assign to the power button also?

Hi, I 99.9% sure that the home button may not be mapped (yet ??) with AEB Plus.
But the "Back" button is the "OK" button in AEB Plus.
Power I don't know about - I suspect not available to AEB+
Basically, my power button is screwed. It is constantly held down, so I cannot lock/unlock my phone and everything else you use the button for. I realised the other day that I don't press the optical sense button down...at all. So I wonder, is it possible to turn that button into my power button? and just disable the power button all together.

mobile goes to asleep by pressing POWER or SEARCH key, wakes up by pressing
POWER key.
To protect POWER key from over used, I hope to change the wake up key
from POWER KEY to SEARCH key too.
I wonder how I can do it? Could someone help?
