Sorry, just saw these, I didn't get the notices for a couple of these.
You probably don't need either of these adapters. There wouldn't be any difference in functionality for HTC and an iPhone compatible headset. For HTC, they are wired up the same (but different button configuration) to the iPhone, so the mic, sound, and the single button will work without an adapter.
If you have a Sony, Samsung, or others that follow the Nokia style of wiring things up, the iPhone headset adapter MK2 will make the sound come through normally and enable the mic and single button to work.
The MK1 works with anything, has a selection switch and allows you to use your sound only headphones as a handsfree with an action button.

The tooling is currently in progress, scheduled to finish June 6th. Assuming that everything comes out OK, we can start production that day and ship everyone's orders within the week, so before the 15th.
Depending on where you are located, we will be doing slightly different shipping methods. US, I'll probably send all the orders overnighted in a single large box(s) have them dropped off at USPS with tracking from there, and should arrive within a few days of the initial shipment.
I'm not sure if you received the update email (probably not if you are asking about when the ship date is), for everyone with an order in this batch, we will be giving you a 10% lifetime discount on future retail orders from Makible (not combinable with other discounts). Just email us when you make the future orders.
Cheers,
Jon

See the answer to the previous for details. The different adapters have specific applications. MK1 is for headphones that don't have the built in mic, the MK2 is to enable the mic, sound, and the single action button to work with specific phones (Samsung, Sony, and others that use the same pinout), but does not do anything for HTC phones.

Ok thanks. My brother ordered ibeats and he told me they didn't work on his thunderbolt. Then I remembered your product, thought it would help him out.
Guess he has another issue? Anyone know how to get them to work correctly? ( the ibeats)
Also I wish it was stated on the website when I ordered these that it would be delayed. Impatient buyer:/

Sorry if it wasn't clear, I'm currently just by myself with getting Makible launched, so the content on the site is probably not as clear as it could be. We are working on a real public site currently, and will have both the revised site and service in June. You will be able to post up ideas for products that you see a need for, partner up with developers to get it ready to produce, and then receive a profit share when there are orders.
I don't know if the buttons will work, with the exception of the single one. I think HTC uses different resistor values than Apple for the different buttons. I've not looked into it in much detail. I'll be interested to see if anyone else has other experiences.
It would be great if this remote and configuration of the headset pinout was standardized across all Android phones.

No excuse, the email was sent out last night to the mailing list, so you should have received it along with the other 500 people that it was sent to.
The short version of the email:
We are starting production this week, and will start shipping this week.
All of this first production will finish within the next week and all orders will be shipped by then.
We are doing well as a company and will be doing some really cool stuff, thanks for your support.
Regarding the PayPal refund, I've issued a refund to anyone who decides they do not want to wait, and will happily continue to do so. I've looked up "bowtieduece" in both the PayPal and my email records and can not come up with anything, so you will have to give me the benefit of a private message or email me at jon.buford (at) makible.com to be able to resolve the situation.
And just in case you think this is all just a bunch of words, please check out the pre-production photos:

This is a non receipt dispute why would I close it when the Item has not been received. Would consider closing dispute when I receive a tracking number. Also you stated emails went out on xda, still none received here. Bowtieduece

What bugs me the most is you have a tab that says buy it now on your website, follow that link and throughout the checkout process there is no indication that you have no product in stock.

So far, you are the first one to give this feedback, thanks. We are rolling out the new site in the next couple of weeks which will have better detailed info on delivery time as part of the product info. This first site is just a test site, so it is a bit rough around the edges. We are also building up the team slowly, so that we will be able to put more time into both improving your experience while keeping the business and production sides running smoothly.
I still haven't received your message regarding your order, so I'll assume that everything else is OK at the moment.
Thanks,
Jon

Whoo-hoo, everything has shipped from the first batch of orders, including bowtieduece's.
All orders will be received in the next 7-14 days, depending on your location.
Thanks to everyone for their support in getting this first project kicked off, we've got a lot of cool stuff lined up for projects, both from inside of Makible and with outside designers.

[BEWARE] 'Genuine' Samsung pouch/case on ebay (seller: cheapgadget) UPDATED 18-9-11

Just received one of these from this seller on eBay. On the face of it, they look like nice little slip cases with the added benefit of being genuine Samsung (according to the auction title).
However, upon opening the case, I decided to return to the seller; these are the reasons I sent to him via eBay messaging:
Major_Sarcasm on 10 Sep said:
Hi,
I'm sorry, but I'd like to return this case for the following reasons:
1. The hole cut out for the speaker is in completely the wrong place for this phone. Even if you put the phone in upside down, it's the wrong side! The hole doesn't correspond to any other piece of equipment on the device.
2. You state that the case is "Genuine Samsung" in the auction title and state the "Brand" as Samsung also. All the Samsung products that I've bought in the past have at least a card backer with the 'genuine' logo on it and a part number.
3. The auction title states that the case is made of Leather. Then in the auction text, it states 'faux leather'. It can't be both. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the 'faux leather' text or I wouldn't have bought the product.
Regards, Steve

Major_Sarcasm on Sun 11/09/2011 11:00 via email said:
Hi John
As requested via ebay messaging, please find attached photos of the case, packaging and my Galaxy S2 for comparison. As you can see, the speaker on the S2 is at the bottom and the hole on the case is at the other end. Without mentioning the other things that I detailed in my previous message, I didn’t put the phone in the case because I don’t think it will fit at all well and indeed will likely stretch the case. It’s also not long enough and the phone will stick out the top. I know this because the case that I have currently is damn near the same length and my phone sticks out the top of that (the reason that I was replacing it!)
This case clearly isn’t for a Galaxy S2. The picture of a dog you can see on the back of my phone is a thin sticker and adds no measurable bulk to the device.

I have now completed the eBay returns procedure and will be posting later today. I will update the thread if I ever get a refund. Also, I'm gonna link to this thread in the negative feedback that I give the seller
I've also just noticed that the cheeky sod has updated the auction text to include a note about the hole. See the pics below. His description of the hole is just laughable.
Edit: My amusing communications with cheap gadget are continued in post 14
Based on the position of the speaker hole, I think it's a case for the Glaxy S. The seller is just being a cheapskate and try to sell them for S2 owner
Hopefully, I'll get my money back.
Big update to OP. LOL.
Funny how "hanging accessories" is more important than hearing your fone ringing, since it's a fone after all. Smart ass
Ps: seems like your fone has the pink spot camera problem. Try downloading the camera firmware updater from samsung apps. Can't help but to notice

Always very cautious buying on eBay it's a haven for fakes/scammers and cheap items passed off as being genuine.

Wife's phone actually. My phone is in the pics. Taking pics of my phone with my phone would've been clever indeed.
Her phone is completely stock and I'm not allowed to touch it ;-)
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Nah you don't need to be clever, you can achieve this simply by bending time.
This is where I've been going wrong. I updated her SGS2's camera firmware last night. All I have to do now is retrospectively apply the pink fix to the photos above. Anyone have a spare chrono-bending appliance handy?
you know what? i have bought the same thing....it is obviously made for sgs1. i gave them negative feedback and i told them i won't send them back the case because i have no time to go to the post office. they fully refunded me and asked me to change the feedback. so i've got the money back and i forced the case with an object to make the phone fit. i think it is one of the best looking cases although it is not a genuine s2 case. could somebody post ebay links to original sgs2 cases looking like this?
They've agreed to refund me. I've returned the case.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
argh, how frustrating. i use a 'sock' for my phone, its nice as I can quickly wipe my screen when putting it in or taking it out...(i hate fingerprints)
Indeed. I never put my phone in the case that I have at the moment unless the screen is clean. My reasoning is that if it has grease on it when it goes in, it'll accumulate in the case lining. Yuck.

And indeed, I have had a refund and ebay has closed the case. Now I have a dilemma; Do I leave negative feedback and link to this thread for the world to see or give them neutral feedback and do the same or do as they ask and leave positive?
To be honest, I want to leave negative or neutral just because they've pissed me about so much over a case that's clearly not for the phone it's advertised as being for, made me wait nearly a week for a refund and I had to hassle them for it too.
Thoughts, oh wise XDA users?
Neutral.
I voided my warranty and your mum.

Last time they said something like that, the next message was that the order had been cancelled. That was because they never had the stock they sold in the first place.
Bastards. A lot of people got screwed over on that one.
Just like what att did when they had for that price
My hopes are still up on this one. The fact that it sold out so quickly tells me that they had a fairly-decent cap on the number of purchases. I have ordered from them a number of times before and haven't had any bad experiences with them -- yes, they can be a tad slow sometimes, but they are usually fairly good about getting things processed and shipped. I (perhaps too optimistically) give them until the end of this business week before I start worrying.

Htc one X - major issues - International phone...

Well, it was bound to happen eventually.... I have a bad phone it seems. A long story short is the wifi radio is kicking out my carrier signal, I have a yellow burn in on the bottom left hand corner of my screen... and my headphone jack is a HUGE hassle, to get it to acknowledge any headphones... it takes me anywhere from 20 seconds to 3 minutes to get it to work.... I did all the normal stuff, but I am certain most of it is hardware related.
Has anyone dealt with this before? I am sure I am in for a world of inconvenience.... however, I am not sure where I start (handtec, HTC UK, etc).... the phone is less then a month old, ordered April 22. I spoke with HTC in the US and they said I could send it there for repair... but I would be paying the shipping to there, dealing with border delays and awaiting repair.... (which might be better then shipping to the UK).... but I have never dealt with this before, so before I do anything... I thought I would check around and see what my best options are. I live in Canada and I ordered it from handtec UK.
Thanks in advance
My 2nd One X (bought in Australia, Optus handset) has no faults at all (fingers crossed).

Well, bad luck but it is a faulty unit it seems. Why don't you contact the guys where you bought it from and ask for a return?I guess they can replace your phone with a new one and it's much more simpler (and cheaper) than to wait that much to send it to US,get it repaired, pay the shippment..etc.

Well i think this are the only solutions you have...even talk to handtec to give you a replacement,or you can talk to HTC,maybe they give you a replacement instead of repairing this one?I mean,i don't know how HTC does it but when i had a Nokia i send it to Finland and in a week they've send me a brand new one.

so the weird part of it all, my beats headphones work perfectly in other devices, each and every time.... however, if I use my apple headphones in the htc one x, it works each and every time.... makes no sense at all, it is like the design of the headphones and phone do not line up or something?!
Oh well, I also have to ship it to them, wait for them to repair and send it back.... but I still think this will be faster then dealing with the us/border delays. Anytime handtec ships me a phone, I get it in 2 days.

1saleaday Lapdocks (Again) ~$60

For anyone still looking to snag one, http://1saleaday.com/ has the lapdock for sale again. $54.99, plus what I would imagine is their standard $5 shipping.

As mentioned by pre4speed, they decreased the rice by $5. Curious -- I have never seen them do that on their site before.
When will these sales be available outside the US ?

sup guys got mine today, using it now. Didn't even notice the keyboard thing till i saw this thread.(smh..it said it on the box) look like its a common thing. other than the "@" and "2" functions being switch around everything is good. i think i'm going to stick out and don't bother trying to get a exchange plus itook the stickers of already (feel like the uk version is probably the only one they have)
Yea, that's what worries me. Also, it's not going to be exactly cheap to send a box of that size that weighs 5 lbs. I think I'm going to reply back to them to make sure I'm not going to waste time & money on getting the same thing.
Sent from my Motorola Atrix 4G using XDA App
just going to keep it. not worth the trouble to ship back
I need a lapdock!! Why do I always arrive late to the party
Same here, UK keyboard, here is some help...
Yes, the 2/@ key but also others such as \ and # keys. Check here for layouts.

Got another email from them. It seems that upon request, they will provide shipping labels. So if you were debating it on the fact that shipping it back will cost you, just send support an email.
thanks but was mostly worried about them not having the us keyboard version(which Im started to believe is the case) and making me send it back for no reason. After 3 days im loving this thing and can wait for ICS update w webtop 3.0
onesaleaday has it on sale again (via Newegg.com). looks like model #9SIA0MC0B56334. can someone that has received one check the model number so that it can be confirmed if US or UK layout. Looks like the "other model 3 is 9SIA0MC0932943. I went ahead and put it on order, but might cancel if someone confirms this is not US model. I think it is not, as the latter model # is out of stock.
while trying to find out which KB this has, I found another link from 1saleaday to http://bensoutlet.com/products/motorola-lapdock-atrix-4g they also list it @ $59.99.
also I sent an email to 1saleaday asking them to confirm which KB for item on sale.
update sent email requesting info on keybrd in stock. It was forwarded to someone else who replied asking what i wanted (request was in email she was forwarded, and in turn responded to me on). Final response was "We can not guarantee that the keyboard will be either US or UK". I will not do biz with these folks after dealing with them and also from reading all the probs other folks had with their service.
Yea, they gave me the same thing when I sent mine back. We can't guarantee that there are US keyboard ones in stock. Got a refund, and I don't think I will be ordering from them any time soon.
Just head to ebay or Amazon. Surely a few more dollars to guarantee a US keyboard is worth it. As for me, I'm going to hold off until webtop 3.0 comes to purchase a new one.

Oh you guys had me scared. I did end up getting a UK keyboard version, but that's just the labels on the keys. Shift + 2 still gets me @ instead of ", for example. So unless you intend to use the lapdock for learning how to type, it won't be a problem.

I don't understand, is $60 price unusual for the lapdock? I've been keeping an eye on this amazon listing for $60.48 for the last month (waiting for birthday money to purchase it) and I have not seen the price changes.

that's a decent price. normally about $100 with shipping. you might want to check which model they have (UK or US).

slickwraps is it comparable to dbrand ? What style or color so you guys like.

What do you guys think about slickwraps they have a promotion 35% on their website off any item just put (HOLIDAY) when you check out. Totals to $11.02 for a full body wrap! I have the white nexus 5 wondering which one would be the best option. Thanks

Hello,
We addressed your concerns on the original similar post you made. I posted it here in case you didn't see it this morning.
Thanks everyone for posting your concerns.
The delays from Black Friday are due to several factors which I will explain below. I do want to thank EVERYONE for your purchase and know i'm here to help and make sure your package arrives quickly before the holidays.
Slammed
We we're "slammed" for Black Friday and Cyber Monday and being closed for 3 business days for the Holiday has put us 2-3 days behind. We do on regular days ship item's same-day, this is what Slickwraps is known for the best customer service and fast shipping. In fact, we're Google Trust Store Verified with a 99% on-time 1 day shipping stats. Still we want to apologize for the delay, all of our 20 staff members are working 14 hour days manufacturing, packaging and shipping out your orders. As of now all Black Friday orders have been shipped and tracking provided.
USPS, UPS
We we're notified by both USPS and UPS that they are experiencing shipping rates 200% higher than this time last year, thus they are advising us of a 72-96 hour tracking and shipping delay on most packages.
Weather
Currently, in the USA we're experiencing a massive winter storm which is causing major delays for UPS and USPS.
In fact Amazon "Prime" has sent out millions of emails notifying customers that due to weather related issues they're package might not arrive before the holidays.
We again, thank you for your purchases and apologize for any delays. I hope I addressed this precisely and clearly and for any reasons you have any questions I'm you're go to for help!

Mine supposedly shipped on the 2nd but didn't actually update till the 9th which is crazy. Looks like slickwraps made the tracking but it took them a week to actually drop it off for USPS. I have many other packages that are in the USPS system and they have been on time like normal so I wouldn't think this is a USPS problem.

I've got many packages in the ups and USPS system that have been delay free. To be fair I have one package from USPS that's been delayed at least I think it is. I was supposed to get it yesterday and its been stuck in Jacksonville since the 6th. But I don't think that's weather related being Florida lol. My only concern was that it wasn't even accepted till yesterday so I found that very strange since it says you electronic info received on the 2nd. If it was weather related it would usually show that it was accepted but take a long time to leave. Anyways no big deal in the end as long as the package gets to me. I was more just confirming what others have been experiencing. Its nice to see u guys being active on xda and I hope to see more of you.
Edit: The package from Jacksonville has now reached my state

Yes! You're 100% correct. Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas and most of the East Coast.
I did just get off the phone with USP and they confirmed 4-5 business day delays from the east-coast and midwest. He said the Texas terminal is 50 trailer trucks behind on getting unloaded.
I will keep you posted!
In the meantime if you need anything you can tech out to me personally at [email protected]

I can confirm this. I'm an Amazon Prime member, and did all of my Christmas shopping Saturday morning on Amazon, so that I would not have to go out during the holiday rush BS. I'm in VA, and received an email yesterday that my shipments likely wouldn't be here by Christmas.
yep 3.99 all the time lol. You would think i could wait an extra day for shipping but nope

I prefer dbrand over all skin makers for one simple reason; dbrand makes actual skins instead of stickers.Others just make a thin textured paper and call it a skin. That is not how it goes. But with all honestly i haven't tried slickwraps.I tried Xgear and dbrand and dbrand wins easily.I like metal skins of any color.

dbrand is great and always my first choice but their 3m material is so rigid that it can't cover certain devices. Like with my G2 I couldn't go with dbrand cause of the shape of the phone. Also some people want the skin to go all the way around the corners which can be done with a certain type of thickness material. Which then when a heat source like a hair dryer is applied it comes out smooth. I uses a skinomi on my G2 and couldn't be happier.
