Plastic Case (Phone stays in while being used)
Pocket Case (Phone has to be taken out for usage)
Premium Case (eg leather & other materials)
Screen Protector (foil & others)

All answers are greatly appreciated!

I voted for Plastic/Silicone/Protector. I use either the Seidio Innocase II Rugged which is a hard shell with silicone exterior, along with a 3M Vikuiti screen protector.

I appreciate any support since we are developing some for different devices....

Just a little screen protector. Cases are for chicks to accesorize with. Though my fiancée thinks cases are stupid, so...... =P

I vote for LCD screen protector. I think they can make my phone moer durable and beautiful.

I use Silicon case for my smartphone.

I use an otterbox commuter for my incredible. I love otterbox cases they never let me down

Hard Back cover goes for me on xperia x10

i use a traditional leather case from Noreve. They are expensive but worth every penny

Plastic Case (Phone stays in while being used)

Invisible shield . works really well .

Pocket case for me

protection
almost all of them

I'm currently using a silicone and TPU bumper case along with a screen protector. I'm pretty sure I'll have to remove the bumper when I use the Game Klip I'm buying, though - but it's not a big deal because the bumpers are soft and easily come on and off.

Trident Aegis vs Otterbox Commuter case

Ok I like how the commuter case is somewhat slim and it maintains the original form factor of the phone giving it a lower profile but giving it great protection. I also like how the Aegis has more options for color although it looks a little thicker. Which one should i go for?
I like the defender personally
I have a commuter case I'm selling if your interested? Pm me for details

I have had the commuter for a couple of months and it is a great case. I've dropped my inc2 a couple of times with no ill effects. The only complaint I might have is that the headphone jack is a little recessed, so a 90 degree plug doesn't work too well, but a 45 and a straight plug work just fine. Pretty minor complaint.
I like that the seal of the case is enough that I don't get crap built up around the edge of the screen and in the ports like tends to happen with cheap cases.
I use an invisible shield brand screen protector (the only kind I will use - lifetime warranty and no bubbles! Harder to put on...).
If you look on Amazon, you can get the case for about 1/2 price or less, and the shield for the same amount. Including shipping, it came to less than 40 for my setup.
I use the commuter. Without any screen protector. I just love the feeling of the screen. Nothing getting in the way ya know? It is gorilla glass, but take your chances of your own accord.

I had a blue Aegis case I loved it at first then crap would always get behind the screen protector that the case has and then the corners started breaking and not clipping together anymore, I am back to zagg and cheap hybrid case this case I can't complain about http://www.ebay.com/itm/HTC-6350-IN...ccessories&hash=item1c1bcbd6b4#ht_1789wt_1037 I have mine in red is all. I just ordered a otterbox commuter though so I have high expectations for the otterbox. if not ill go back to my ebay hybrid case. it isn't rubbery it is hard inside but soft to touch on outside so it can slide on not snap together.

I am also tied between the Commuter and the Trident Aegis since my Incipio SILICRYLIC case broke..by looking at the Aegis pictures, it looks like it covers up the Notification LED for sure, and it looks close to the front-facing camera..Is this a problem for any of the owners?

Commuter
I bought the Otterbox Commuter from Newegg, and so far I like it. It slips out of your pocket really easily because the back is slippery, more slippery than the back of the phone in my opinion. I wish the silicon was tighter on the phone, but it is still tighter and a better case than my old incipio.
I wouldn't get the trident I just took mine off and threw it in the trash after busting 3 of the belt holsters and having to constantly put the thing back together. I ordered a seido off of amazon.
The Commuter felt too slippery for me. I always felt like my phone was going to slip out of my hands unless I used two hands.

[Q] Silicone vs TPU case?

Which case do you prefer for your cell phone?
Silicone, when you take your device out of your pocket, chances are the case will slip and stay in your pocket and the device will be in your hand, without the case.
TPU, have not used it.
If your phone is falling out of your silicone skin case, you have a cheap, ill-fitting case. I use the Amzer Jelly case on my Galaxy Tab 10.1, Nexus S and up until a few weeks ago on my Sensation. That NEVER happened to me. I also alternate between an Amzer Jelly case and a clear TPU case on my Amaze. Both cases fit correctly. I now use a TPU case with a clear plastic inlay on my Sensation. Also no problems there either.
Sent from my Nexus S using xda premium
I use neither on my phone...got skinomi, couldn't stand the bulkiness of having the other types of cases, regardless of the added protection it might have provided.
I prefer TPU cases. I've never been a big fan of silicone cases. As of now, I have an Otterbox Commuter case which is actually silicone and hard shell. The silicone part is a little loose but it has the hard outer shell around it so it's alright.
I got a cheap TPU case off eBay, and I must say it is very good and the design is very nice. It is the "S-shaped" on the back, black TPU case.

Bodyguardz
I prefer Bodyguardz full body protection. It's a wet application type material that feels like plastic but after drying up it hardens and becomes protective. It can be removed at any time and does not interfere with the normal operation of the phone (yes, you can still take out your battery). Honestly I have not dropped my HTC HD7 as of yet, but one thing's for sure it will protect this phone from any scratches on the actual case. Plus, I don't have to constantly clean the screen anymore to remove "finger magnet" phenomena.
It's kinda like InvisibleShield except that it's waaay more reliable and comfortable. If that doesn't please you, they also have a cool Carbon-Fiber cover that is a dry application type. You should give their site a try
i prefer silicon case
there are some cases made of both TPU (soft) and PC (hard) materials. I think such types of case will work fine.

TPU (termoplastic polyuretane) has the benefit of flexibility like silicone but the nongrip effect of the plastic. I would warmly recommend to you to go with the TPU even though it's a bit more expensive than silicone.
If you take into account that silicone lasts for about a month before it starts to stretch and starts falling off your cellphone like a gooey toy, the TPU will last for about 2 years before showing signs of ware.
BTW. you could try the ebay for cheap TPU cases. about=<2$
Otter Box your phone will look brand new when you get your next phone.

TPU all the way! When i had silicone lint from my pocket would always be on it after taking it out of my pocket..... TPU is much smoother and just better in my opinion.

Tpu or the cheap hard plastic.

Thinnest case with full protection

Any one have a recommendation of the thinnest case that protects all four sides of the phone? I have the GSM Nexus and the Incipio and Case Mate options do not provide cover on all four sides. I was wondering if any one has seen something similar but with 4 corner protection
I don't really like cases as I find the ones with a nice feel to "grab" too much when I pull the phone out of my pocket, but I do use a silicone "skin" occasionally when I want to keep the phone from jostling around in my cupholder or if I'm doing an activity where I don't want the phone to slide out of my pocket easily. They're dirt cheap too, only $2-$3 on ebay.

Definitely a toss-up between Rearth Ringke SLIM, SGP Neo-Hybrid, and SGP Ultra Capsule.
Here's an excellent video review of the SGP Neo-Hybrid. I'm really interested in seeing the same reviewer do the Rearth SLIM, and sent him a PM requesting it. I hope he obliges
The problem that I have with the rearth and the hybrid is that they don't come completely up the side of the phone. I wouldn't mind if they came flush. The capsule might be a winner I'll have to find more pictures.

The Rearth indeed doesn't come all the way up on the sides, however the Hybrid does. Check out the review I linked you, specifically 1 minute and 53 seconds in - you can see the rubber part comes up and slightly over the phone.
In either case it doesn't really matter, either way the top and bottom DO have extruding "lips" so when you place your phone flat on a surface, the screen won't be touching it.

I just got my GSM Nexus, and just installed an XO skin (non-case version) on the screen. do any of the above case suggestions interfere with screen protectors? I'm looking to getting a thin case just to increase the grip on the device.
I wish someone would make something like the diztronic but thinner. That way it would have grip and a little protection, but still feel close to stock and fit in docks and such. I saw something like this years ago on a nokia phone.
I have a diztronic case and it's not bad but too thick Imo. I ordered one of those "skin" stickers, but haven't received it yet.

[Q] Case without button obstruction?

Hey everyone.
I'm trying to find a case for my phone that doesn't obstruct the use of the buttons with other plastic. I got the otterbox commuter but the plastic that's used has changed since my last otterbox and it's now rigid and terrible. It makes it virtually impossible to press the buttons.
Anyone have a suggestion?
My Ballistic Case offers great protection and the buttons are fine. You don't have to use the display protector and I don't. I use a Zagg HD screen protector.

Spigen Ultra series...
If you are just looking to protect against scratches, the OEM Samsung cases are the best I have found. Obviously don't provide protection from drops, but ultra thin and add some grip to the phone. I picked up the white two-pack from Expansys. If you have the 50% off from Samsung accessories you can pick up the white/blue pack for $10 plus shipping and tax.

I agree! I use only Ballistic, I tried 4 other cases including OB and the buttons are way to stiff for my own liking. Ballistic with a Zagg HD I highly recommend.
Thanks everyone
I have the PureGear DualTek Extreme Impact Case and it's really good. Non obstructive and provides good protection.

which one would you recommend? any other case that are good?
Really depends on the level of protection you need. I've used just phone skins for looks, to bumpers, to silicone cases, to otterboxes. Depends on what you need and want to look at.
Third one looks great but I prefer case that cover screen too. Just to be safe side. On my first s3 I got hairline crack without even knowing what and where happened.

YOu might check out amazon. I paid like $19 for an otterbox defender which comes with a screen cover built in and has superb protection
I'm with Pennycake on this. It depends on your level of protection. Me personally, I care more for heavy protection, so I got a Trident Kraken case. At $28.99 plus free shipping on Ebay, it was a great buy.
Yes, as others have said it depends on your usage / preference / risk factor. I'm perfectly happy with my Otterbox Commuter other than it being a little slick. If you don't want the bulk of a hybrid (jelly & hard) case, then I'd probably go with a jelly case over the hard case for the shock protection vs. scratch protection with the hard case.
Of those you suggested, I'd pick the third one because its a "hybrid" and does wrap the edge corners which is pretty important pro wise. That, and it just looks cool
I'm using the UAG case right now (the third link). I think it's a pretty nice case, it doesn't add too much bulk like the otterbox and it gives decent protection. I dropped my phone a couple times with the case on and there are no damages on the phone or the case. Pretty good case in my opinion.
Im looking for a thin case with no design or pattern. Just white or black color
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
I use the ballistic maxx case I think this is the best case out....it's not bulky like the defender case it's slim and also comes with a holster like the otterbox does it has raised edges that when the phone is dropped it flips the phone in a way it's hard to crack the screen and also comes with a screen protector not the film kind amazon has em for around $15
I'm using SGP neo hybrid case and it feels good and looks good also...
