They're probably just waiting for a new official Rom to drop, you have to realize they have lives and aren't going to be constantly updating Roms just to keep people happy.

I am very much distraught as we have been together for so long but lately she has been hanging out a lot with Dave, her ex. She says that Dave is homosexual and that i shouldn't worry about him because he no longer "likes what she has" if you know what I mean.
I recently bought her the new s3 after having it myself. Also i assumed that the absolute best way to show her i love her is by buying her a smart phone. There are many apps that can help you. Some are free. If you find out what you don't want to know, lay it down on her thick. Romance, wine and dinner. Do everything she likes in bed then get a nice CZ ring, make sure the phone is near too, get on one knee and tell her you want to marry her since you both now have herpes from thee lest time you went on "guys night" and "they made you have the private room with the stripper".

the best way to find out is just to ask her. More than likely she will tell you some bull**** if she is lying. Change the subject and after a while return to the convo asking her about it but change whatever she said.
Ex. If she said she was with her friends at the mall, change the subject, wait a while and then ask her about the stuff she got at the mall. If she didn't get anything then more than likely she wasn't at the mall. Time to move on to the next one. I'm sure you're still young and there is plenty of other women out there.
Edit: If you have to use an app to track her like some have suggested, then you shouldn't be with her. That is stalkerish and it's definitely time to move on.

You may already know this if you've had experience with previous phones, but take your time and thoroughly read threads before doing anything. Your phone was cheap to get, but will be expensive to replace if you brick it. There is at least one dev here who frequently posts roms that never work (but the descriptions make them sound awesome), so read more than the first post--check out the last pages too.

Here's the link to the Note camera/gallery thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32293258. When you flash it, you'll have a 2nd gallery and a 2nd camera. You'll need to delete data for the new gallery and reboot to get it working. The only thing I've seen that doesn't work in it is the "Cartoonify" effect. And the name of the dev I was referring to earlier is droidmodder. He seems to be trying hard, but hasn't been very successful yet.
