HTC Locations? - HTC Wildfire S

Hi everyone,
I'm considering buying this phone because it's heading to Canada, but I'm wondering whether or not the phone comes with HTC Locations or Navigation or whatever the heck it's called.
Not having it is a real dealbreaker for me. I appreciate your help.
Thanks in advance!

of course there is, because htc Wildfire S with A-GPS support (Internal GPS antenna built in) for detail Specification look at http://www.htc.com/www/product/wildfires/overview.html

I meant the HTC Locations or the Premium Navigation app. It's quite obvious that every smartphone nowadays has some sort of GPS capability.
(Hell, HTC were the first ones to implement GPS on mobile devices, why the heck would they leave it out now?)

Selling desire

Hi Everyone,
While I love my desire I think it's time for an upgrade. How much do you think I can get for it? I am thinking I can sell and use money to get a new phone.
Cheers

Depends on which area you are.
In my area, Malaysia it will be around usd150 - usd200.
You could check your eBay - if you do a completed listings search, it'll show you wha has sold and for what price (& what hasn't sold), also bear in mind unlocked vs locked and amoled vs slcd (I think) as some people may more for the former in both instances.
When I've looked for UK they are fetching about £130-150
Around the 200€ depending on the state of it and as waggermama said, the specs
Thanks for the responses. Looking at ebay is a great idea. I am from Canada and with Telus. I am pretty sure it's amoled and the bravo model. Looks like top prices are 250-300 cdn range.
Happy holidays

Should I got this phone?

Hi all,
I have been using a HTC Desire Z. I was wondering if it is a worthy upgrade to the One X? My main dislikes are the non removable battery and no micro SD card. Is there other features would convince me to get this device?

Its a good phone for Entertainment, Gaming, Socialising, Busines & Everything that wherever U go u wont feel like ( O i'm missing this feature or.... hmmm).
Nothing special about this phone.

It looks good and feels good in the had but im afraid it breaks easily+if it wasnt for our devs this phone would lag like as if it was htc inspire. Is just annoying ow htc doesnt care at all and the funny thing is the way how they address the issues, instead of admitting their fault and trying to fix things they act like as if they are a alreadg highly established brand that is a leading supplier in the industry and no matter what they do still customers will buy their phone but truth is that customers might buy their phone once but when they see they got screwed because their quad core phone performs like a normal phone and pieces start to fall slowly then they go to samsung which btw is way much more dev friendly

Do we need another of these threads? If everyone was too lazy to search and read, we would have thousands of threads like this.

Define "special" in the context of a phone. It has the best screen out there, the CPU for which all the best games are optimized, the best UI OEMs ever made, build quality is superb, battery lasts for 5 hours when watching movies... I guess you thought it will also do your laundry and now you are disappointed of it not being that "special".
To OP: I came from Desire HD which was referred as the "big brother" of the Z. I am really happy with my purchase. Though having ICS with sense 4 on the DHD, the difference in the screen and the overall experience is amazing. That's all I can tell you.

In 1 word: ABSOLUTELY
In more words: Your issues with non removable battery and no micro SD card are irrelevant, cuase it has excellent battery (will get even better with SW updates) & 32 GB onboard + 25GB Dropbox + SKYDRIVE + GoogleDrive. And the phone has some CLASS. Definitely UPGRADE.
Well thing is 3G in Australia isn't very good and I do believe that storage will be in the cloud in the future. I personally have stopped using the Sense UI since its so bloated.

I would like to know if this phone is hard to permanent root?

Easy peasy. You unlock it via HTCDev. But just for the Tegra model. The US version from AT&T is a world of hurt.

WiFi issues

Hi guys.
I don't know if its just me, but when I'm using WiFi on my phone it really struggles to connect to it at times when my laptop is showing full WiFi.
Is there a way to make it so that my WiFi receiver is more powerful so I can actually connect to the router?
Thanks

yes navigation, but if you get my point, im asking how good is gps reception without gsm data turned on, how much satelites you can see, and hoe much One V use them, here is the tool for that
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chartcross.gpstest&hl=hr
The GPS receiver on my One V is incredibly fast and sensitive compared to my Galaxy Tab 8.9 and Wildfire S. I'm really quite happy with it.

WRONG, come on people don't post blatantly incorrect information.
I have tested and GLONASS support is there and, if you don't believe me, it also says it supports GLONASS on the box.
One V has a great GPS, it just misses out on a digital compass.

Just got mine and am impressed with the GPS. I toggle it on and check GPS status, got 8/11 satellites immediately. Indoors.
As far as accuracy it seems spot on, within 3-5 meters.

HTC Locations... Disappointed in Route66.

Hi all.
So I recently upgraded from an HTC Inc S to my shiny new One X. I bought an unlimited license for HTC Locations Navigation on my Inc S as I use navigation very often for work etc.
Yesterday I emailed [email protected] with my old and new IMEI numbers thinking that a perpetual license should be transferable to a new device. Well, that turned out to be wrong. Naieve of me to think so looking back.
They replied this morning saying that's "not possible". Bulls**t, not possible... I get their reasons, just think it's a bit greedy.
Just thought I'd let people know if they were considering a perpetual license that it's non-transferable.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
it is , or at least was between several dhds that i had, i haven't got round to it for one x yet, but if they refuse ill be going after refund!
Did you try writing to htc to see if they will help?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Licence transfer is done by HTC support. Just contact them, they transferd mine (licence from a HTC Desire running a custom Rom) to my new One X without problems.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Agree with kdsone above. I transferred my perpetual licence from my DHD, through two One S' and again on to my current One X. Drop an email to HTC through their website support. Took about 48 hours to all go through from memory.

Oh, awesome! I went direct to Route 66 but will give HTC a try. Thanks for replies people.

Similar experience. I brought my device for servicing and the board was changed due to some defects and caused a change if IMEI. route66 was not being helpful and htc support immediately took action when I sent them a "complain" email..
