[Q] Cases for the 10.1 - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Accessories

Are there any cases for the thin 10.1 tablet available?
I'm getting my tablet mid of june.

None that I've seen yet. I saw an unboxing video of a case, but I think that is for the chubby 10.1v. I want a case, but don't want to cover up my little androids on back. lol

Oh. Okay

I'm going to go to best buy today and see if any ipad sleeves will work
We're probably going to have to wait until the tab is officially released before we can get a proper case but if I can just get a cloth sleeve now I'll be happy

Yeah, I'm worried that the seller messed up and forgot to put a 'v' after 10.1. It will arrive this week. Worse case scenario is it will sit loose in the case which can be fixed with some quick modifications. But just mainly something to have until manufacturers start selling cases. (Then return for a refund...)
Does anyone know if there's a way to get insurance for the device? (Will squaretrade provide w/o a purchase receipt?)
Sent from my GT-P7510 using XDA Premium App

also hoping the amazon one isnt for the chubby version.
Cant wait to get this thing in a case...
There is a company making a Melko brand leather book case that looks promising, but it also is a photo of the chubby one. Ive emailed them asking if it has been redesigned.. Lets see what they say..

I got the Acme Slick Case from Best Buy. It's not perfect but it works okay and for 15 dollars you can't complain. I figure it will do me until some custom made cases come out.
http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product...spx?path=acafc0b74bca603fcb15b1e5c38b547aen02

Looks nice, but still waiting for some more cases

i ddecided to go with a belkin 10" neoprene sleeve off of Amazon for $8. It is a bit too big, but it does protect the tab and you can fold it in half, prop the top of the tab up and type in an angle.

I'm a fan of sleeves (as opposed to form fitting cases), and I hunted up one of these at Best Buy yesterday. It's very well made and fits perfectly.

Just got my case in the mail today, works beautifully. has 5 cc slots on side and a big pocket for whatever you may need it for.
might return this when Zagg comes out with a case (as mentioned in another thread), but for now this will do perfectly.
Sent from my GT-P7510 using XDA Premium App

quietglow, thanks for the heads up. I just went out and picked up same sleeve, fits great and I really like that it doesn't look like a computer related accessory.

I'm the guy who sent his GT-P7510 to Zagg. Judging from their other offerings, i would expect just an invisiblesheld not a case.

Looks like it fits nicely, how tight is it secured in there given that it seems it may have been for the thicker version.
Let me know! Im ready to checkout my amazon cart!!

Seidio

I was checking Seidio for a Rezound case today, and saw this:
http://www.seidioonline.com/kindle-fire-s/7526.htm
Looks like they are working on a case likely like:
http://www.seidioonline.com/apple-ipad-2-active-case-black-p/csk5ipd2-bk.htm
for the fire. Thought some others may find it nice, I have always loved seidio and am a strong believer in them.
*posted in wrong area, having mod move ^^
I'm of the opposite opinion. I've always thought Seidio was overpriced and lacking in quality. I've had two of their cases and both broke within a couple months.
I think it would be the best case so far. I don't like the leather cases and soft cases like marware that people are buying so far.
They posted pictures finally:

I'm really looking forward to trying out some of these cases... especially from Seido their stuff is usually high quality. I've had several of their other cases for my android phones and they have yet to disappoint me. Just hurry up and gimmie one
Now shipping.
Ordered one and two screen protectors.
WOW what a case. Me like one for Xmas.

At work at the moment, so haven't gotten a chance yet. It arrived just before I left for here.
The case is amazing. Pic from me installing CM7 on it using its stand.
I like the idea, but I'm afraid constantly.popping it out of the case in order to tilt it would 1 be annoying and 2 wear on/damage the kindle. Let me know what you think after using yours for a bit.

It adds a bit of bulk. The texture is actually not great. It fairly smooth so it feels like the Kindle is gonna fall out of your hand.
I plan on using it when traveling, but around the house the Fire will be naked.
What about popping it out for using the stand? Does it seem like it will wear on the kindle?

Wow, that's a nice case! I'd be interested in it Maybe after a review or two.
Check out the brief review at Amazon
Hi,
Check out the brief review at Amazon. Sounds good. Looks like a nice mixture of a thin case with a nice lip. I went ahead and placed my order from Amazon via Wireless Everything. I called them. They said they were selling the retail box version and that their standard shipping includes USPS First Class. I just recieved an email stating that it has shipped.
I'm going to get the Case-Mate Tough Case also went it comes out. Who knows though, maybe this one is overall a more stylish and functional case because of how thin it is.
AC
with the disappearance of the Anymode bumper case, this looks the closest to what i want. thanks for sharing!
edit: i ordered it
It is certainly a nice case. Maybe I'll order one too. But I really wanted a tough case because I've had experience with that case and I know it to be a good one. Hmmm... decisions decisions. Hopefully when you guys get one you can upload some more pictures and your personal opinions.
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note.
I got the one like in the picture today with my note. Its a nice case for sure. Buttons are still easy to push and use. Its worth it.

I received mine today, and it's wonderful. The only thing I would comment on is that the hard back makes it easy to slide around. Only having it face-down will keep it from slipping.
why is it $40

So, it's the best because you sell them?
im waiting for my diztronic to arrive. i find the "s" cases a bit cheesy looking.
I have the opaque black one from Amazon.de, and it´s not bad at all. It looks like a two-pieces hard case, but it´s all soft plastic. The worst thing about it is the wrinkled part on the sides, which, in my opinion, is too sharp and uncomfortable. It´s not very thin, so makes the phone quite big (even more..). It covers the power and volume buttons, so it protects them of being pressed accidentally. It looks great on the back side and protects the phone perfectly, so I can´t complain.

I have two of those cases. Purchased from ebay, they were less than $3 each and included shipping.
To sell them for $9 is a bit offensive, considering your taking advantage of the XDA community and not really trying to help benefit others - only yourself.
Well I am glad you were able to get them for that price, can you please share the link since I will like to buy it and also I am not asking for some crazy amount for them either which includes shipping and my time and effort to find them.
If I do not like the price and do not want it. I understand

I get them for less than USD1.50, they are a unbranded product, one of the cheapest case you can get from china, they do there job and they do fit pretty well, but I will recommend the mercury case, it's better quality and branded, i have done a review, click on the link in my sig.
there are many other choices, and it's personal preferences.

I love this case. My phone has been driven over by a car with this case on. The only thing that got messed up was my screen protector!!
i forgot my s3 on top of my car (I'm stupid yes I know) and I pulled out of a parking lot and heard it fall off as it hit my trunk. I went back around the street, which happens to be a busy road, and found it face down with tire marks on it. I was so amazed the phone was not damaged at all. Its a great case and offers great protection.
The only thing I can say I dislike about the case is that the rubber edges pick up lint as I put in my pocket sometimes. That's the only thing I can really find wrong with this case.

I just got my dualtek case today. I will share my initial thoughts for those who might be interested. I ordered the black version which has a matte finish, I ordered this one because it seemed to have good grip. It's actually kind of slippery. The power button is very hard to press, I hope that gets better with time. The charging port and the headset jack are not covered like in other rugged cases. The case includes a screen protector, I haven't used it but it looks like a cheap one, it doesn't cover the entire screen and it doesn't have circular cutouts for the front facing camera and the sensors. It is a VERY nice looking case IMHO, and it looks like it will hold up just fine under heavy abuse. It doesn't look extremely rugged like the otterbox defender, but it should protect just as good on drops and that sorta thing. Overall it seems like a great case and would recommend it to those looking for great protection at a great price point.

I have had my Otterbox since day one of my Razr Maxx so it's hard to believe a case exist better than it. Then only issue I can say is that sometimes I can make your phone heat up more than normal.

I use this one, looks like you are reading/carrying an old book. It has a few turn-able pages to add to the deception. If you left it visible in your car, no one would know the wiser, you can keep it on your bookshelf.... It's not cheap, but well worth it in the long run. This is more for transporting the device, not for practicality. Great during boring meetings, work or school!

Watch the video of the greaseball in the meeting and tell me you don't want one  Seriously though it has the best stand mechanism of any case made. Problem is you'll hafta get one on ebay while supplies last as they seemingly aren't being manufactured anymore.

does anyone know which is the thinnest case with front cover for xoom?
I'm actually using the Xyboard 10.1 OEM folio with Bluetooth keyboard. It's a little tight getting it to fit at first but it works well. The camera and buttons don't line up with cutouts and such, but not an issue for me. I got it because the keyboard was the best I could find at the time and on a whim, VZW Rep said "let's try this" and it worked great and I also got it half off in the store

The bad thing is that itsn't 360 degree so if I have to rotate my xoom it doesn't give much help
