Savaged-Zen ROM
RC5 Test Renditions
http://savaged-zen.com
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. The crespo4g build of the Savaged-Zen ROM is currently under testing stages. EXPECT THINGS TO BE BUGGY! If you have issues, please submit issues to the link below.
2. For the TESTING STAGE, the ROM currently includes the latest kernel from mathkid95, the Matr1x kernel. We are working on a Savaged-Zen kernel specifically for the crespo and crespo4g. Please be patient while the other developers on our team get those loose ends tied up
3. Once the crespo4g build is STABLE, this thread will be renamed and reworked to include hosting from our official mirrors. In the meantime, please feel free to contribute by testing or donating. Thank you!
Now that that's done, enjoy the show!
Thank you:
Anyone who has ever submitted code to AOSP development. Without you, projects like these would not be possible. (CyanogenMod, Evervolv, SalvageMod, etc)
Our dedicated Crespo4G testers: jta462, bradart
For helping us set up the repo and countless other reasons: preludedrew
If I forgot anyone for ANY reason, please kindly PM me and I will correct as needed! No need for flame wars.

Crying tears of joy!

Loved ur stuff on the evo mang, especially your kernel - looking forward to this

Thank you for the support everyone!
I will be maintaining the device for the time being, and since I do not own a crespo, my eyes and backend testing work is being done by jta462 who has been extremely helpful so far. (Be sure to thank him as well as this would not be possible without him). Tomorrow, I will have another release, hopefully clearing up the wifi, camera, and mms issues. Tomorrows fixes were brought to my attention by mikeyinid, so a thanks to him is in order as well!
Please stick around ! Love the teamwork of the crespo community thus far.

Alright. This baby is up and running. Confirming that above is fixed and working. Just need gapps and Kernel. I believe Kernel is coming some later. Great work on mwielgosz and SZ team. Aaalmooost ready guys!
Edit - not in a 4g area currently so can't confirm but should be working.

Woot! Flashing now. Glad everything works now. Thanks for your work on this guys We needed another awesome ROM option.

Great! Glad to see beta-3 is not causing any issues. I have a Crespo version build (Nexus S) built and ready for testing on the Crespo forums. That will be released next, as well as a major commit to the Crespo4G source code to make my local changes git-wide. You will start to see official Renditions be pumped out as well as an RC when ready!

Weeeell? I flashed gapps and matrix Kernel. All is well except for multi mount being kinda buggy. Definitely my daily. Good stuff.

No sprint settings but no big deal. Yea, rock solid with matrix. Can't wait for the kernel to be done. 4g does work also.

I will work on getting the Sprint settings integrated into the ROM in the next few days. Also, got gapps, use Kush's zip for now until I patch our updater-script. I will update the OP with a link here shortly.

Savaged-Zen ROM is an AOSP project based on Google's AOSP Gingerbread (Android 2.3.4). We have incorporated some popular tweaks from other AOSP ROMs, as well as added a bunch of our own. This is not a CM Port, only qcom, device trees and lib librarys were used from CM, we have built this from AOSP scratch. There are various commits from members of the CM team and other teams listed in our github.
The main focus on this, it to make a lightweight. FAST ROM that is specifically designed to work perfectly with our Kernel(2.6.38.6 being built now). Right now, we are tweaking the ROM and adding our own custom features that you won't find anywhere else.

[ROM][JB] Team EOS 3 *JELLYBEAN* Nightlies - Stingray / MZ602 / US 4G ONLY

Team EOS XOOMJB 4.1.1 Stingray MZ602NIGHTLIES
Continuing on from the success of the EOS ICS roms, we present to you EOS3, based on JELLYBEAN!
It is the goal of Team EOS to develop and maintain the highest performing and most stable AOSP based rom for an array of platforms. The launching point for this development effort is the Motorola XOOM.
For the latest news on Team EOS Xoom releases make sure you follow @teameos on twitter and on IRC on Freenode in #xoom.
--
NOTE: Team EOS, it’s members, friends, dogs, cats, and associates are in no way responsible for any loss of data or device functionality. Use this at your own risk!
--
A quick note on Nightlies: NIGHTLIES ARE DEVELOPMENT BUILDS. They are automatically generated every now and then, and represent the compilation of the latest commits to the code repository. While every effort is made ensure that the commits that are accepted are stable and do not have a negative impact to the overall performance and function of the builds it is not possible to test every aspect of a commits impact to the overall repo prior to it’s inclusion in a given build. As a result it is entirely possible that instabilities may be introduced as a result of a given days commits. That is the nature of the nightly system, and the risk that is taken using the latest code changes to the project.
EOS Xoom is an AOSP based rom. It is developed and maintained by Team EOS and is the culmination of our own in house development efforts.
Team EOS Xoom Nightly builds: http://goo-inside.me/devs/teameos/roms/eos3/nightlies/stingray/
G-Apps Package
Because this is an AOSP based rom Google Apps are not included in the base rom. To install Google Apps please flash the following package after installing the base rom:

Features:
Because these are nightly builds the included features are constantly evolving, we do not provide a change log manually. Instead please see the changes on jenkins for your build.
For the most up to date and comprehensive listing of the changes included in this rom please visit http://review.teameos.org
Kernel:

Support for OC;Under/Overvolt
Governors: lagfree, interactive, conservative, ondemand, userspace, performance
Kernel Note: In compliance with GPL kernel source can be found at: https://github.com/solarnz/Tiamat-Xoom

Installation Notes:
These builds are designed to be installed from your favorite recovery (Solarnz R4c, Rogue, Clockwork)
Perform a full wipe (read Factory Reset) prior to installing this over ANY ICS based rom.
BUGS!
If you find strange or otherwise unexplained errors please report them here: https://bugs.teameos.org/ Please include logcats and as thorough a description of the issue and what lead up to the issue as possible. With out this we will be unable to track down these errors.

Yes, very smooth in early testing. WiFi hookup quick and solid, stock android browser smooth and fast navigating to xda forums first time. No discernable keyboard lag.
Boat browser doesn't work, prob not ready for JB. Haven't downloaded other apps yet to test.
Shows great promise... thanks EOS.

Same here, Baseband shows up as unknown. I also got the android.phone error at startup. Voice Search doesn't seem to work. Google Now starts, but doesn't complete setup. My clock did not auto-set after initial setup.
Camera works better than I ever recall seeing on my Xoom. Boots quite quickly, and seems to be ridiculously responsive. This is incredible for just hitting source, I wish I could be more helpful!, keep up the good work guys!

Have a bug to report?
Now track the status of your issue on -
http://bugtracker.liquidsmooth.net
--
Quick Tips:
◘ Make sure you do a Full Wipe and then flash the ROM.
◘ DO NOT restore data via Titanium Backup. More often than not it will cause stupid issues.
◘ If you have done all that, and still face issues please post a logcat. (Search on how to do that)
◘ For battery related issues, please post a relevant screenshot from an app like Better Battery Stats etc.

No logcat or no screenshot effectively means your issue doesn't exist

What is King Kang?
King Kang is essentially a hybrid ROM - its a mixture of AOKP, CyanogenMod, and ParanoidAndroid, bringing all their customizations to one rock solid and quick ROM. These numerous features combine to create a blend of features not seen anywhere else before. Make the user interface yours with this ROM. Change the DPI the ROM runs at, tweak the interface to your hearts content, while enjoying great battery life and stability. Never before have these features combined to create a ROM as feature-packed as King Kang. Credits for the features goes directly to the teams responsible - AOKP and CM for their respective work, and ParanoidAndroid for their wonderful DPI on-the-fly modifications. Without these teams, this ROM would not be possible.
This is a merge of AOKP, CM10, and Paranoid Android done by DAGr8. Thanks to him
This is an UNOFFICIAL ROM. If kittens start to raid your house in mass, then I am not responsible (also, take a picture and post it on Reddit for archival purposes)
Thanks to:

- Team Douche

Please report any bugs to this thread, and I'll see if I can fix them, I threw this together for fun, and didn't do that much testing.
I also became really lazy and kanged Team KANG's boot animation.

HA! I'll fix it .
To fix Google talk. Flash the CWM zip here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=773272
I'll post in OP.
EDIT: Only works when I first boot. Not a true fix. I'll look into it.

This is not a feature that is available right now, only for phone calls. You will have to wait until AOKP merges it in, and PACman is updated.
EDIT: Also for SMS
I have two questions. Will this be updated regularly? And is there a changelog or anything?

No changelog, because I can't find one. I'll try to do nightlies. I'm syncing right now.
Also, keep in mind that I only have ~85 Mbps internet and a 3570K, so it might take a while to compile for all devices (I'm going to start supporting maguro and toroplus), but toro will always come first.

Yeah I just noticed that too . If Talk worked this would be the perfect ROM for me.

If this works. You're awesome. BTW, ROM updated.
EDIT: It worked. Now I have to edit all 6 threads .
Can someone upload a fixed camera app or is it fixed in the latest build?

One more
So, I've been on the rom for about 14 hours and I love CM but this has little tweaks to it that I can say, seem to speed things up, and my battery is doing great on its very first charge.
I'm on Nova Launcher Prime just in case anyone asks.
I'm using stock kernel that it was delivered with and no tweaks of my own, besides splash screen and Boot Ani.
If anyone has any questions I'll be glad to answer them, and help DJ out as much as possible.
Build.prop edit for Instagram issue people report.
Code:
debug.mdpcomp.maxlayer=3
To
debug.mdpcomp.maxlayer=0
Nice!!
ThanK you

Is the Bluetooth audio is working fine, thats my major problem with cm, and signal, I get better signal with stock, before I can flash this rom I want to know that.

Looks great don't know if you saw my other message but anyway to get a cm 10 4.2 build since everything needed its out maybe a frosty flavored port of hellybean that is 4.2 for the international sgs3 which DerTeuful makes his own kernel and his builds are just as stable as official builds
I know you can add that special twist to the rom and get everything working correctly for our phones

Thanks guys. This is just a little project I started and thought it would be nice to share with you guys. :good:

That's AOSP. Frosty is Touchwiz and we don't even have a 4.1.2 yet for Touchwiz. It just takes some time bro. But I'll definitely take a look.

The one thing I have no way of testing, BlueTooth. I don't drive so I have absolutely no use of the feature. I'm guessing the same issues will arise with this rom until further notice, as they are not listed in the OP. Also to those that are interested.
for the weird Instagram issues that have been reported, if you did not know, it has a weird editing, applying filters issue, I don't edit in the app so I don't know if this fixes it or not. Here is elesbb's fix. just a simple edit in the build.prop folder....
I recommend editing it yourself as I'm sure DJ has edited the build prop and this will keep everything else entact
Code:
debug.mdpcomp.maxlayer=3
To
debug.mdpcomp.maxlayer=0
Anything else I can add to the first couple of posts? to keep things a little organized here?
