Ok, how many does accutally have a 3D-tv?
Arc doesnt seem faster here. But I noticed in app drawer, there is small icons in folder now.
But the screenshot thing is nice. Soon iOS and Android has all same features.

Android has many more features than iOS!

Ios will soon copy Androids features. :-(
But thats OT.

And I want Pamela Anderson, but is not possible))I'm joking, you can check roms on the Xperia android development.
Arc and arc s are practicaly same phones so i think that roms are also compatible with both of them.Cheers
thanks
your humour acctaully highlighted my day as its rare on the xda forums , can you defiantly confirm that xperia arc and xperia arc s share compatibility and do you know anyone who knows how to help me build a custom rom as im very new and have no skills in coding

Ask Google, he'll help you get started. ;-)

hey
humorus joke i take it
I dont think anyone here will have the time to walk you through building a custom rom. A lot of work goes into making them stable etc and they will have Roms they are working on themselves. I think it is a bit too much of an ask.
As said, read and then read some more - it isnt something to start doing on a whim

[Q] Question about Xperia S UI in ICS and Kernel stuff.

Do you guys think the ICS update will make the interface of our Arc look like the one of Xperia S?
Because I was watching some demos and it looks incredible , especially the music player is way better than the stock one on Arc. I noticed that a certain user called FlamEmo managed to port the Xperia S theme to Arc, and it seems to be working alright, other than some bugs, so I assume there would be no problem such as "Arc is not powerful enough" or stuff like that, so SE really has no excuse not to give that interface (or an improved version of it, since XS has 2.3.7 right now) to every 2011 Xperia phone with ICS.
And my second question, can you tell me exactly what happens if you unlock the bootloader? And by that I mean, which features are lost, which limitations are introduced as soon as you unlock it?
Thanks in advance and have a nice day
Unlocking bootloader you will lose warranty, erase some sectors, hability to set custom kernels...
And yes, ICS will be equal to Xperia S, but when SE release and official rom, or XDA guys exchange a new ROm
About the bootloader unlock, I meant if it would cause me to lose some functionality on stock apps and stuff like that. I've heard the music widget, TrackID and some other stuff stops working if you unlock. Where can I find a complete list of things that stop working or change when you unlock the bootloader? I want to know because I'd like to try CM but obviously I can't without unlocking.
Also, if they really improve upon the S theme and bring it to every Xperia with ICS, that would be seriously awesome. Have they officially commented about that?

There are 2 things not working after unlocking:
TrackID (but keep in mind that there is already a market edition)
MusicLike in FB

I haven't heard such stuff.
But I think SE/Sony will do their best (and that's always great, imo).

Thanks man. I don't care about Facebook (I may be one of the very few on the planet that don't use it) or TrackID (actually, I liked it for identifying tracks over the radio, but I can live without that. I haven't tried the market version yet). What about bricking with updates? ICS is coming and I wouldn't like it if I could not update instantly, but I assume someone will make a flashtool flashable version quite soon. Can I update normally using SEUS even if I'm unlocked?
That would be all, and thanks.

Don't use any OTAs and it won't happen.
But either way there's a sticky thread in developement section.

[Q] Arc S LT8i Sim Contacts Nd text Msges

Hi
I have recently bought Arc S LT8i nd still its on Gingerbread, i have used Samsung Smart devices too, what i see wat lacks in Xperia is that u cannot see ur sim contacts which is on sim, phone just allow u to copy to phone book then they are visible nd if u want to save a new contact its only going to be saved in ur phne book but not in Sim card nd it doesn't ask when u try to save initially ! other problem is of text messages, the phone is not saving any recent text contacts so the next time u text its going to be easy for u but in Sony its not there, u got to go to ur phone book or if maybe it has a option to make a group ! otherwise no recent history of contacts to text messages !
Now my final question ! are these issues going to be resolved in updating it to the ICS version of Arc S or if any ROM that can do the magic ? plz revert anyone
Regards
In all Sony (Ericsson) phones, right from their feature phones, if you wanted to access the SIM contacts (and if you knew which position the number was saved at), all you had to do was enter the position number and press hash. That would take you to the contact saved at that position. For example 5# would take you to XYZ contact.
About messaging, well, instead of typing a new message each time, just type under the conversation you've had with the person before. I think it's pretty straight forward and easy.
And no, there will be NO update which changes this behaviour now or in future. Although, I can't vouch for custom ROMs or 3rd party messaging apps.
Cheers! Hope this cleared your doubts.

Thanks for the prompt reply ! that clears a lot confusion nd please refer me the links for the best nd recent Roms for the Arc S ICS !
Thanks nd Regards
Glad to be of service but I really can't say much of custom ROMs as I'm still on stock Sony ICS.
Have a look at the Development section. You can find tons of ROMs there.
The most popular custom ROMs globally are namely CyanogenMod (or CM in short) and MIUI.
Also have a look at Arconium and JJ's Hybrid ROMs.
Cheers!

Sony is still rolling out the update so there's a chance it's not out for your SI number.
If you're carrier branded, it would take longer still as they would put their own little touches.
I suggest you look at the General thread. Plenty of ICS stock fw can be found there. I'd suggest you go with the Generic Global World 4.0.4 .ftf. You would need Flashtool for flashing it.
