hey
humorus joke i take it

I dont think anyone here will have the time to walk you through building a custom rom. A lot of work goes into making them stable etc and they will have Roms they are working on themselves. I think it is a bit too much of an ask.
As said, read and then read some more - it isnt something to start doing on a whim

Arc doesnt seem faster here. But I noticed in app drawer, there is small icons in folder now.
But the screenshot thing is nice. Soon iOS and Android has all same features.
Android has many more features than iOS!
Ios will soon copy Androids features. :-(
But thats OT.

Not to my knowledge. That would require heavy Samsung framework.
Next time you post a request, please put in the general section.
Thanks
Yahh. Today I found about it and I really like it. So I tried many times to port this to my ion. But i am with no luck. Some files they use is not in sony file system. So it may be impossible, if it is possible also it will be very difficult job. But I will try again. I wish I had more knowledge.
+ please post Question & REQ in Q&A forum.

[Q] Android 4.3 for experia arc s yet ?

If anyone knows something pls lets talk about this.!
We are just hitting 4.2 now.. come on, you have a 2011 device, don't expect TOO MUCH... Also, if you see no threads with [4.3] at Android Developing, why bother asking?
Anything goes nowadays... next thing you know people start asking about Key Lime Pie for 2011 Xperia phones. They talk like it's so easy to port ROMs and apps and other things when they they haven't tried it themselves...

[Q] Tap2wake?

Hello,
I looked at the Z2 features a while ago and hoped we'd get some of them too. But unfortunately, the KitKat update didn't include tap2wake
Is this feature possible to get on the Z1 Compact? Please help I have the bootloader unlocked, btw.

I really hope somenone makes double tap to wake possible for z1c . It's really useful.

Tap2wake is kernel related, maybe future Z2 owners would port it or it could be included in a next official build
yeah i'm waiting for that too... that's a good feature to have. i'm surprised only LG has implemented it across it's phone lineup
Ι would say that tap2wake is a must for devices like ours that have ONLY ONE button. Apart from the fact that it is easier to wake your device this way , it also prevents the inevitable wear of the Power button.
hope someone starts a petition to sony hehehe
they gave Z2 that functionality so i'm thinkiing its a matter of time for us

Țap 2 wake
Yeah, upgraded to 4.4.2 and no "tap to wake"... so disappointed :crying:
Until now Doomlord,Androguide Fr and Faux made custom kernels for Xperia Z1 with this feature implemented.Doomlord has no plans to support Xperia Z1 Compact,as he don`t own this device, Faux and Androguide Fr said nothing about supporting this phone.So...we have to wait until someone ports the kernels from Z1 or creates one for this one.I`m also a big fan of DT2W function.I can`t wait for this.

...so perhaps if a few more People made them aware this is a desired feature then they may change their mind.

Many android phone users don't even know about the existence of this feature.Last week I have asked some developers if they can try to make a kernel with this feature for Xperia Z1 Compact but the answer was, in less words "NO". Too bad because it`s a very good phone and the similarity with Xperia Z1 is very very big.So the porting, for someone who knowshow to do it,shouldn`t be so difficult.
Unfortunately developing for our phone does not exist comparing to other phones. I very unhappy about it but at least I hope Sony gives us double tap to wake feature.

[Q] Q: Is it possible to multi boot with the Xperia Arc?

Hi guys,
For my work (I work as a web developer) we are currently looking into buying some android devices for testing purposes. One of my friends has a Xperia Arc laying around, and I'm trying to find out wether it's at all possible to multiboot into different ROMS with this device. I can't seem to find anything related around here, but it's been a while since I was into Android ROMs and was wondering if any of you could point me in the right direction
Thanks in advance, and kind regards,
Gerben van Dijk
