No, the applications are odexed. They need to deodexed to be freely installed elsewhere. For some at least. There are also other requirements.
Sent from my Epic 4G

With this, we'll see developers porting to other phones
Sent from my GT-S5660

i was able to install the music app and thinkfree app which is a pretty standart document viewer (as far as i can tell)
no success with other apps though

We need full system.img instead apps so we can make it work on our phone

they are unusable without libaries
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda premium

excited to see working o desire

What we need is full system dump... Only apps is almost useless...

how is possible that no one made a real galaxy nexus system dump?
Some blog have the phone in their hand!!
Come on let's dump it..its only a command to dump it
even if its available the sdk system image dump, its not the same

i am sure, google has some watchful eyes on their demo units to prevent a complete dump.
the galaxy nexus is supposed to be the first device with it, not some buggy port that scares (common) people

Has anyone tried deodexing the apps yet? Google earth force closes on my phone even though there's no parsing error when installing. I've seen the launcher on the sgs+ forums. It works on my phone.

[TOOL] chef droid - online tool for SGS customization

Hey there,
A few months ago I developed this platform for the portuguese android community to help less experienced users customize their device.
Now, I decided to translate to english and make available to all of you:
chef droid - http://www.chef-droid.net/en/
(chrome web app - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/...nflldjonoogognbdl?hl=en-US&hc=search&hcp=main)
chef droid is an online tool for android devices that allows you to generate a ClockWorkMod Recovery (CWM) script file to remove system apps or bloatware.
disclaimer:
All functionalities were tested on SGS / SGS2 and have been used for a while without any reported problems, but as always by generating and using a chef droid script you know that you're using it with your own risk.

Seems like good work. keep it up. Why don't you upgrade it to JVT? You may add DDJV9 Modem that's meant for the Indian sub-continent.
I've known this work for some time now.
Very good indeed for removing and restoring stock apps.

The website only provides original apps, not mods.
I could create a section for mods but currently I can't afford to use more space on my server. That can be done when the donation amount allows me to expand my hosting plan (and as you probably noticed, all expenses are currently supported by me ).

Thanks to the Devs for the awesomely easy root process. The Tmo SGS2 is my first Android phone and this was my very first root experience. Anyone know what app handles the 611 redirection ? Thought it would be 411 & more, but I got rid of that and 611 still redirects.
In case anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about, try calling 611 (customer service) - the phone actually drops to another app that turns on the speaker and talks to you there - it's OBNOXIOUS.

yup, this one worked, link in the first post should be updated.
but its showing example cards, but when I try to search sth, the page is blank, and when I touch it it goes to normal search results. seems like its very buggy atm, or for my country not all of the feautures are available.
but, good to see this.

[APP] Google Now 2.1.12.516912 • 10/29/2012

Google Now 10/29/2012 update
I was having trouble finding the stand-alone Google Search apk, so thought I'd post it here for anyone else.
I had a modded Google Now (Google Search, or QuickSearchBox.apk), and wasn't able to update from the play store.
Recommended Installation (if you fall into the category above)
• Back up your current version (Google Search) with TB
• Uninstall your current version
• Install this apk normally
*I used adb install, but should work just by running it.
• Enjoy all of the new features
Download
Google Search 2.1.12.516912
Note: This is an unmodded, Google apk. I'm just posting it (might mod at a later time).

Running on an LG P500 is a ARMv6 device. Runs fine as long as I do not touch its mic icon. When it tells me there is an update, I of course cannot get it because it is technically not compatible with this handset. I can only side-load it.
So could you post the latest and greatest apk (probably Dec 10)?
Also, what might it take to either:
Get rid of its mic icon since it crashes it. Using another widget with its own icon!
Or ... get it to connect to the older online voice which will work just fine.
Thanks!

Strange. Probably we have different flashing archives, cause I didn't delete AOSP keyboard. After the L keyboard flashing I simply chose it as a default disabling AOSP one in settings.

This archive is meant to be flashed via CWM or TWRP recovery. Not the stock one. I guess you can search the web for genuine .apk and try installing it as a usual app.
