Vibration is a switchable setting

I haven't noticed any banding. Is there a way to test it?

Cant remember... I dont think so...

I have not changed the default, and all 3 of mine vibrate on press.

Have you tried using a higher quality image to test out the color banding problem?
remember almost all apps made in the market are for 800x480 images

Can someone try these wallpapers on your galaxy nexus ? just for the sake of science

wasn't this an issue with the launcher and some apps not supporting 32-bit
I think this was an issue on the Nexus One Gallery app, and once updated, it fixed it. Also some launchers have a Hi-Res mode which fixed banding issues.

No banding from me, from any of those pics

I notice that trying to set wallpapers on my SGS2 I get better quality when using the app "Wallpaper set and save". Search for it in the market and try applying your wallpapers with it and see if it helps.

I think the GS III uses the stock ICS gallery if I am not mistaken. You CAN choose the entire wallpaper, but it's just tricky. You have to move the box to one side and keep dragging and moving until it fills the whole screen. Def not as easy as the older Samsung way.
Does it start of like this???

If you take some time you can stretch it out to this -- which will choose the entire picture for the home screen.

Which Live wallapaer are you using?

I was wanting to get some ideas for new live wallpapers. I have been running the same old live wallpaper on my S2 and now on S3 which is the Galaxy Pack (link below)
From the wallpapers Ive tried, I think it looks the best. But I'm bored of it now. Which live wallpapers do you guiys think look best on the S3?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maxelus.galaxypacklivewallpaper&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5tYXhlbHVzLmdhbGF4eXBhY2tsaXZld2FsbHBhcGVyIl0.
Definitely Metaballs HD if you dont hate paid apps
Its completely different because you can customize backgrounds, images, colors and shading/blur 3d effect.
P.S. Free version is available too, but with huge capability restrictions.
I did try that, looks cool, but at the same time looks a bit tacky for my liking.

An electrocardiogram of your battery will animate your wallpaper. If your battery going down, the ECG too. Looks very sexy.
But most importantly, does not affect the performance and battery life.

Which click widget are you using?
Multi Live Wallpaper.
Its not actually a live wallpaper, but rather you can select different wallpapers for every screen. Double tapping changes the wallpapers.
So I have a folder in my SD card as "Best Wallpapers" and my phone randomly changes its wallpapers from this folder.
Its pretty decent.
Try it out.
Been using it for a year now and no noticeable battery drain.

[APP] Galaxy Screen burn-in\ghosting diagnose and repair utility

Hi All,
I've written a small utility that will help you diagnose and repair screen burn-in issues on your Galaxy Nexus.
You can download the App from here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bengigi.screen.diagnostic
The diagnose mode shows a full screen white color, with minimal brightness so you can check if you have screen burn-in issues.
The repair mode displays a full screen inverted color of the Galaxy Nexus buttons and top bars.
Let me know what you think and if you have any ideas\comments about the App and how it can be improved.
Thanks!
Changes
-------------
Version 1.1:
- Added support for custom images by taking a screen shot
Never had burn in issues but if this works, this will be huge.

My nexus is almost a year old, so that maybe the reason.
Here's how the burn-in looks like on my device:

wowa! This really works!!
1 minute of doing this and the burn in is gone
Seems great. Looks like I haven't suffered any burn in, but if I did this utility wouldn't help me as I don't use the stock soft key images, and this will only display an invert of those images.

If i understand correctly, this doesnt really repair. It simply burn reverse color so it come to a balance ?

No, the inverted image I'm using is based on the stock rom navbars, but I can modify it to support other navbars, but I'll need a screen shot of the for that.

Maybe you can modify this so it can repair all kinds of navbar heights and buttons! I know this is a lot of work, so you can turn this into a paid app. Anyhow, thank you for this app!

Post your (T-Mo GS4) software pet peeves

We all have them - and it will help ROM devs to know what "the people" want to be changed.
Mine include the clutter in the notification bar, particularly the WiFi Calling item, and the "suggested activities" on plugging in headphones. I'll let you guess which I've already removed.
e: If it's a major missing feature like real lock screen widgets or photo sphere, it probably doesn't belong in this thread, nor does hardware items.
You know you can now hide the wifi calling by long pressing on it in the notification bar, going to app info, and clicking to turn off notifications? It removes the icon and keeps your wifi calling intact.
Widgets. Battery drains I never use.
Stock Samsung colors.
Non-inverted apps.
How about PhotoSphere? I heard it's not on the S4, even though it has 4.2.2.
