Hi guys, today I want to show you my first ROM for my Galaxy S.
Actually it was made only for the forum in which I collaborate (www.uebarena.com/android-arena), however I decided to let it make an appearance on XDA too.
First of all, Credits:
-the whole cm7 team for the awesome AOSP rom
-zacharias.maladroit, for the awesome kernel
-the xda comunity, with its guides and tutorials which helped me out a lot
-my dear friend Memnoch (have a look at his rom on the DHD forums) who supported me in this process
-my beta testers which trusted me and tested all my builds.

(quality is not the best, but he promised to make another one with a better camera, since he is recording with a galaxy mini as you can see )
Pre-installation:
-backup all your app &data before flashing (with titanium, mybackup ecc...)
-I suggest doing a factory reset, so that you come from a fully clean install.
-if you are already on a CM7, do a format of /system and wipe dalvik & wipe cache.
-if you are on a stock rom, first you need a CWM.
Installation
requirements:
_any gingerbread rom (stock or custom)
_CWM recovery
1)
_put the .zip file in your internal sdcard
_reboot in recovery
_factory reset
_install zip from sdcard>choose zip from sdcard> CyanoForTomorrow_v1.0.zip
_when it ends flashing, reboot
_Done. Enjoy.
2)
_download latest gapps here
_flash them in recovery
_Done
If coming from a previous release of CFT:
_reboot in recovery
_wipe dalvik & wipe cache
_flash the rom
_reboot
_after that, install the gapps
(optional) Post-installation
Battery calibration
_connect the phone to the charger, wait till it reaches 100%, then use the battery calibration app.
Change theme:
_open the theme chooser app, select a theme and apply it.
lockscreen ICS-style
_download the file ics-metamorphhere
_put it in your internal sdcard.
_open metamorph
_unzip/extract new theme
_tap the arrow and browse to the theme
_apply
change font
_downlod my font packhere.
_extract
_create a folder named .fontchanger in your sdcard and put all the fonts in it
_opene the app, choose the font and let it reboot (if not, do it manually)

due to the temporary instability of ICS portings, and since buildbot (RIP) stopped building nightlies a long time ago,
I'll manage to keep cm7 alive, updated and optimized at best with my rom,

hi thanks for this rom . .1 quick question ..i see u mention better wi fi which was 1 of the issues i had with 7.1 but i also kept getting the 'hello hello' bug with incoming calls .. and i didnt want to use the speakerphone trick ... is that solved with this rom ? thanks !!

A v1.1 will come up in the next days with the neo18 kernel (definitely awesome)
and with a new cm7 nightly base, as long as they add more fixes or interesting things

Feedback: The ROM is fast, good bootanimation, there is a small difference between default and zacharia's kernel, but i prefer the second one ! And that would be great if you include by default ICS theme and lockscreen .

that's mainly because not everybody likes it like I or we do...
I've received mixed opinions about this,
so I thought it would be better to let the end-user choose to apply the theme and the lockscreen, or to stick with a different theme/lockscreen.

Other thing Alex, i can't choose what to sync in my google account. In cyano "stock" i always untick Picasa sync, with your ROM, this feature doesn't exists

Alright so i was going through hero cdma pages n i found this rom and from the comments tat i read seemed to please everyone over there so i decided to port this rom over here

so it's cm7, like ele's cm7 rom, but built by the cdma hero cm7 developer instead of the gsm hero cm7 developer (ele). Interesting. There should be little difference I would think since the hardware is almost the same and I believe ele has talked with cdma folks in the past to share fixes and features both ways....
but it's worth trying this anyhow. hopefully the gps works at all, and is reliable and stable.

Can this rom play a video longer than 71 minutes???
First impressions very good, very fast and responsive. Will test GPS navigation tomorrow. Would like an option for 2d gallery if possible. Thanks for the ROM, as fast a GB as I've used
I also experienced problem where it won't install some of the applications. Other than that pretty good rom, haven't tested GPS properly though, just for a few minutes.

all I can think of is the fact that CDMA hero has always had a much larger and more advanced dev team than gsm hero. There has frequently been some trickle-down of their concepts into our roms. Sometimes we're in the lead, but more often than not the real inventors have been working hard on the cdma side.
Maybe this is still true?
However I'm not in any way putting down the great devs and cookers who have kept gsm hero one of the most popular underground phones even now
Elelinux, erasmux, JieeHD, Riemer, Ninpo, rdejager, Feeyo, Pulser, robocik, RaduG...
and everyone else of course.

For those having troubles with apks installing, pushing them to system/app is a workaround for the time being (or so i have found ymmv)

Just loaded the rom. Looks good at first but no camera icon. Its a deal breaker unfortunately.........

My wife will test it in a few minutes. Came from ICS alpha and she said that it was a nice Rom, but she wait till it`s stable. Hopefully I can make her happy with your rom
Edit: Hmm her and my first Impressions was not so good at all. It was slow, hangs, not nicely themed and I don`t see any improvements over a stock Samsung based rom. Sorry

By the way, I had problems with Ics and songs in external sd which cannot be played. Is this bug solved in this outstanding rom?

I'm going to give this a go...
After using CM9 for well over a month, the battery life just plain sucks. I've tried everything I can and can't get more of a days use out of it.
I flashed MIUI back for the first time since and battery life is HUGE - so I wasn't going mad.
However I much prefer the CM9 rom to MIUI... finally Android is at a stage where it looks and functions good stock (ish )
Will try it and let you know how it goes...

Hey guys :laugh: After many time passed without developing I decided restart building my own ROM based on latest AOKP release You may say it's another SGSIII themed ROM, but well this is different! I left all the frameworks and apps unthemed to achieve stability and stay as much stock as possible,and the theme is applied since the first boot through T-Mobile theme engine! In this way 99% of your system is themed and themed icons are not limited to system ones! If you install a new app and it is supported by the theme it will be themed SGS3 style

So when i flashed there was not bootanimation and the install with languague google crashed . But the rom is smooth looking for battery tomorrow :good:

Yeah at first boot everything went fine, now i tried to reflash but i noticed these small issues.. i will release a fix tomorrow

Ok I got it It was a winrar fault,I accidentally compressed the ROM too much and some files corrupted I'm uploading fixed version while going to sleep,as soon it's uploaded you'll see it in my folder

Hell why 2-stars rating,why? Also fake rom threads have 3 stars. I guess someone is having fun giving one/two stars rating randomly in this forum

Yeah I meant threads for fake ports and so on! our community experienced some of them It's not the fact I got a bad rating: everyone has its opinion.. but in this way it just makes no sense and moreover it keeps other users from trying my work

I saw your rom have acid audio mod & walkman addon. May I know how you install it without problem?
I just want to know how to install the walkman addon.zip on samsung i9000 galaxy s without fc issues, especially the download info?
I've installed it once on latest cm10 build rom with wipe cache&dalvik cache before install 3 zip files and wipe dalvik cache after installation successful but it still get fc issues

I'm not sure about it because I directly integrated the mod in /system and it just works fine.. However I had the download info crash on RemICS-JB and I solved by deleting the relative apk I can make a CWM package for you if you want!

Maybe something is broken in the installers for clk.it works for some.doesnt work for some.will have to look into the issue

this is the most important question . what about camcording ?
Nice, minor bug, 2G/3G switching not working.
Excellent Rom. The only minor bug for me is that when I'm on lockscreen and push the power button for screen off , having a small lag ( completely screen-off takes 5 sec )

just go to developer settings and turn window animation to off or 0.5.

actually i'm not sure if the screen (un)lock vibration alone can be disabled, ..but i included the 'vibrafix.apk' app, to bypass all vibration - it's a sure thing for avoiding vibrations, and will disable them even for apps that cannot be unset.

lol, thanks for cheering my day, and giving me a good chuckle on this one - really, thanks.:laugh:
...because i had esp, purposely searched for an inverted mms.apk app to avoid the 'glaring white' of the standard apps, and also to save some battery, ..and also i thought maybe all the excessive brightness might affect the pixels elements on the screen over time.
and then, i just got in a habit to copy in the inverted mms for any rom i used or ported - it just became a habit for me to copy in.
but of course, please copy in freely any apps to your liking.
the story on gallery.apk - hehe, there was period when the Gallery app was always fc'ng in every new rom, so i started to use the included pic viewer in 'X-plore file manager', ..but i usually install that separately.
..so, my bad - i just overlooked including an image viewer - again, please use whatever one of your liking, or copy in a Gallery app.

hey kam-, i've never experienced repeated issues for booting from cLK (kokotas') on NAND or DataOnEXT, though I did experience similar to yours, almost exactly, once a while back, just happens i was doing ports of ParanoidAndroid 2.51 & 2.52 then, and i resolved that by ** manually formatting NAND/boot from recovery **.
I formatted NAND/boot from recovery and the issue vanished.:fingers-crossed:
ESP between repeated rom flashes to NAND, the NAND memory never actually gets erased, and if you are experiencing any unexpected things, then better manually to wipe it - there's no reason why the NAND should be clean before your next flash, right? ..unless you wipe it yourself.
and if that doesn't resolve it, then try also formatting NAND, from kokotas' cLK:
kokotas' cLK > Settings > Format NAND
and that should also read out all and any ** bad blocks ** on any of your NAND partitions.
i just happen to have 2 bad blocks on my tmobile hd2, but they happen to usually sit in my NAND/system partition.
