[Q] Questions While Running Leaked 2.2 Froyo

Hey folks, I was hoping you could help me with this one. I recently updated my droid incredible, rooted and installed the original Froyo Leak posted on xdadevelopers(I also ran v.5 of the patch). My question is now that I have froyo will I still get the same kind of app update notifications that I used to receive in 2.1? I have been running 2.2 for 4 days and haven't received any. Please let me know.
Thanks a Million!
i'm running the leaked OTA of froyo and i still get app updates. Go into market and hit the downloads tab just to be sure. See if any of yours say that there is an update.

[Q] Android 2.2.1

Does anyone know if we are receiving the 2.2.1 update for our G2's? I understand that the phone only came out a few months ago but since we are pretty much running Vanilla Android I don't see what the hold up could be if there are any. I'm just going to assume that the 2.2.1 is just some small fixes for the system?
Sorry if this is a repeat but I did search this forum and found nothing except information on Android 2.3.
Thanks
Flash a custom rom it should be running 2.2.1

[Q] Sensor Settings on Stock Froyo (Defy)

Hi guys! I've tried searching the forum but couldn't find any thread on the smart sensor settings for the Defy. I used to have it before upgrading to Froyo. I was just wondering if they really took it out from Froyo. I am currently using the stock Froyo CEE ROM but prior to the upgrade I was using a stock Eclair for SEA versions.

[Q] 2.2 or CM7 on DEFY

I am new to the Android phone, and I purchase the Defy on last sunday, I like this phone and those function, but I am thinking to upgrade the firmware to 2.2, the salesman say it can be download 2.2 OTA at April, but after a week and there is still nothing.
So now I am thinking upgrade to CM7, one question, after installed the CM7, can it downgrade to the original 2.2 OTA?
Also I am focusing to the Hotspot feature. Is it work fine?
my phone version is
2.59.0.MB525.Retail.n.CH18
firmware version
2.1 update1
Yes, i have done that tomorrow. I don't like some modifications that i was used to, in the contact list, that have changed in the CM7. I'm gonna wait to another version to see if will get better what i want.
it seems like cm7 is still in beta-mode if i was u i would wait untill a stable verison comes out
If you don't want to be flashing fixes every other day i recommend not going with CM7. It runs great for light usage but it has many issues for now.
I recommend going with a 2.2 rom like my EphuNord. It is a clean Blurless 2.2 rom with a few modifications to allow easy themeing. I also uploaded around 8 themes.
If you follow the correct procedures you can always downgrade as far as 2.1 again if you need to.
thx for information, but which is the most stable for 2.2? I saw some post that some rom are not compatible?! Any recommandation? I want 2.2 or above.
I am lost on upgrade or not.
I want to update to ephnord 2.2
But want to downgrade back to 2.1
I am 2.51 uk(the phone came with it)

For Now 2.2 will be a better choice as the CM7 is its beta phases so let it come as a stable build...
N dude make sure while upgrading from 2.1 to 2.2 you does not lose ur downgradability and for that use the excellent work from fritolays so that u can downgade back to ur original firmware just by flashing 2.1 firmware of ur choice back...
Were can i find fritolays`s work, thanks in advance mate.

If you're newbie (or just want to use phone, not patch it every day), then better 2.2
fritolays's work here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=977989
EphuNord is also good choise for you. They both based on latest official leaked 2.2 and very stable.
Thank u so much

search for U20i_2.1.1.A.0.6_FR_DEBRAND.7z
and flashtool-0.6.7.0-windows.exe
or you could try an unoffical 2.3
Are you using the stock 2.3? That is, did you just take the official upgrade? When I tried the offical 2.3 upgrade, the battery life was terrible for me, too, and you said that and the Bluetooth issue are the main reasons for downgrading.
You might also consider trying an unofficial version of Android 2.3 for this phone, for example the CyanogenMod CM7. That gives Android 2.3.7. I have used this since November 2011. The only issue I had is that the built in tethering does not work, so I had to use an app to tether. Battery use is about the same as the official 2.1, and a *lot* better than the official 2.3
So another option might be to install the CM7 ROM. You'd need to unlock the bootloader and install ClockWorkMod first.
This will be more work than just rolling back to 2.1, maybe take two or three times as long, and you might not want to use an unofficial rom. On the plus side, you might like the end result better. I took the chance and am really glad I did.
One place to start reading about how to do this would be to google "cm7 sony ericsson x10 mini pro" - you will find several videos and several pages which tell you how to do it. (Sorry I can't give you the link, I am new here and so far am not allowed to post links).
hope that helps
Good luck!
River~~
very good info
thanks
