Isn't Newts rom set up for ext4? I don't know if the stock rom will support that or not?
I'm using this now, with GingerBangSense. It seems to work well so far

great call on the ext4, totally slipped my mind, stock kernel will not work on any ROM that is currently ext4.

Both very good questions.
NEWT would know more about if u can just switch over to ext3 using the 4ext recovery. I am old school and use a 4.0.1.2 custom recovery, can't remember who made it,

Haha, I didn't even think about that when I flashed your updated GingerBangSense I ended up flashing drells #21 kernel after flashing GBSense, and them went ahead and flashed the stock kernel after Andy posted it, so I guess I went full circle lol

I suppose its possible HTC included ext4 support in this kernel but we won't know until either someone tries or we get the source.

Ill be up to try to see if the kernel is EXT4 capable.
Will post results later on or tomorrow.
Edit: EXT4 is not supported in this kernel.

Please note that as far as i know that hd rls 1.1 uses a New kernel designed specially ONLY for it ??
i was setup with 4EXT for all Partitions as EXT4 , now after andybone Rom installation , it shows 3 Partitions EXT3 ( system, data, cache ) , and an EXT4 partition still exists sd-ext , and the Rom is running ok , didn't try the kernel

if you mean the Singed RUU ( i.e Not Rooted Original OTA ) including Radio , [ it is Only for Unrooted Stock Phones, ] , then check this here ( But i am not sure about it ) ???? http://rootzwiki.com/topic/11801-latest-ota-and-radio/

Those are not RUU's those are simply files for the Radio and Kernel, and what the OTA included, the small patch.
I don't think there is an RUU out for this OTA. the last actual RUU I could find for this phone is "2.18.605.4"
I also have a full rom .zip of "4.08.605.3" saved. both way behind.
with I could find a RUU for this 5.10.605.9 update.

thanks , i guess i replied in a harry , for that reason i said " ( But i am not sure about it ) ???? ' , i didn't even check the links size , and it is posted by a BAMF developer
me also the latest i have is is "2.18.605.4"
thanks again

I'm not at my computer otherwise I would provide the link but search the incredible s forums for incredible s shipped roms. The post is by football and the op contains the link to a file sharing service (can't recall which one off the top of my head). The listed files near the bottom has the link for the HTC signed ruu. From that file (its an exe) you can pull the Rom.zip file. If you can't find it let me know and I will paste the link when I can get to my computer.

Only changes are to acpulock-7x30.c , no additional credits/copyrights were in the header of the one I worked off of. If you had a hand it it, let me know so we both can fix that.
Since this isnt even available for everybody yet, is it stable at 1.65ghz?

You will be able to get higher than 2000 with this kernal easily. The thing is though, I don't think you can flash back to froyo after going to GB, or atleast I can't.
this is for GB? Wish it would of stated it in the op. Where can I find a Oc kernel for froyo with this kind of potential?

I didn't back up the stock rom. If it messes up just remove the battery, go into recovery, flash back to what you were using before.

[ROM] PlainJane GB beta 1 - Deodexed

All credit goes to Jcase. This is his ROM. found here - http://www.androidpolice.com/2011/0...gingerbread-update-for-htc-incredible-2-leak/
The only thing I have done is simply deodexed the ROM. for those that don't know what this means, to sum it up in a few words is, you can only theme a deodexed ROM. so themers, have fun. This is very close to what our GB update is going to be.

Any ideas? I installed via clockworkmod and did a complete wipe of data/cache/Dalvik.

It always says "We've detected a SIM card therefore you must be in Global Mode" or something when I flash it. Is that right? Should I even have a SIM card in if I'm not leaving the country?
Will I need to *228 after flashing? I'm currently in Afghanistan and won't be back in the US for another 2 weeks, and I would like my phone to continue roaming here and in Kuwait whilst I travel home.

[Q] Where can I find Heyitslou Kernel #9 download?

Searched through the forums and found the original post in development, however the megaupload link is broken. Wondering if it's still available anywhere. Thanks in advance.
He also included all of his kernels with his ROMs. They would install on the SD card and you could flash whatever you wanted. So if anybody has a zip of the ROM, they would have his kernels too.
I think I might (might!) have it...
edit--- I don't, I must have deleted it when I was making space on my hard drive. Sorry
Thanks
Thanks for checking. I am wanting it to run with Skyraider just because I love that rom and read it runs great with it.
If anyone else would have it, I'd really appreciate it.
Just checked my files for the Incredible and all I could find is #8. I'll keep looking for #9 though.
I heard #8 is good as well. Any way you could hook me up?

I'm not surprised as I booted Chad's aosp gb kernel on froyo sense a while ago and it booted but broke the soft keys. I think the ROM was skyraider. Probably have to update kernel drivers to get 2.6.32 kernels to work on gb sense but I spent so much time on my gb sense kernel so there is no need.

Could I try a stock rom and kernel and then go back to my current set up or would I then be unrooted?
Well you can "try" and flash the kernel I am using I suppose... but as far as I know it will break your camera and probably some other stuff I don't know. Do a nandbackup just in case you want to be adventurous. You only wanna find out if Sky would work if you change kernels first right?

Yes that's right, it has to be a stock kernel as sky do a check on the kernel before the stream loads apparently.
Well if it's stock kernel that it requires, then you have to use the official Sense based rom and kernel. All sense roms here uses a custom kernel so you are out of luck. You can't use Sense kernel on AOSP roms anyway.
OK cheers
I will have to wait for techy people to hack the sky go app then.
Depending on how Sky works, you can try and flash one those sense based roms. Who knows, the custom kernel they have might work. I have the impression that they are all based on the original sense kernel anyway. Or just wait for someone to hack the app.
