SGP GLAS.t Premium Tempered Glass Screen Protector - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Accessories

Just saw this on their site and I'm so excited!
SGP's Steinheil GLAS.t is made to protect the LCD from damage and scratches with specially processed glass that has been reinforced to increase shock absorbency. The entire surface of the GLAS.t is transparent and the back side is covered with a strong silicon adhesive for easy installation. When installed, there are no gaps between the LCD and the GLAS.t, which means the touch screen's sensitivity is unaffected.

Can't wait for it. Hope this day come since I saw the version for IP on their website

Though they said "sensitivity is unaffected" I read some complaints (for other phones) that sensitivity is reduced.
Especially when battery is low.

Holy $40 for screen protector?

I can't buy this.
This is a glass over a glass, then I would have to buy a screen protector for this screen protector.

I seriously hope it is much improved over their SGS2 version. The sensitivity sucked big time even with tweaks made to the touchscreen.

I disagree, with Ninphetamine Kernel, I had no problems with using the Glas even when it was charging. I would buy one, but $40 is a little pricey. They could at least include a little something if we pre-ordered it or offer colored versions like SGS2.

Love SGP products...but man oh man I can't spend $40 on a screen protector.

I bought the ultra crystal of the spg and I wasn't impressed at all.
The plastic seemed flimsy and very easybto crease and I just couldn't get the bubbles out after 4 tries.
Now idk if the ultra crystal is their cheapest model as they had the ultra olephobic and ultra fine version, and now the glas.t
So now I'm on the hunt for a different screen protector now...

Only tiny thing is they sent me the Glas.t for iPhone 4S
And when I went to the page from the first post, they already changed the item to the American AT&T version, not the International (European) version anymore .

So when is the exact release date? Why is the AT&T GLAS.t priced at $34.99USD while our international N7000 is $39.99USD?

Hope this will be availabe locally soon

not impressed. I have their ultra-optics, it's not entirely matte and still reflects light, which looks like rainbows. Also fingerprints can accumulate.

I know a few order this for the n7000 . Why is it not listed under our note accessories? Its posted under att note obviously but wtf. Do you have to call to order this for the n7000?

Available at their Korea store.

I may have to.consider that for the us version of the Note.
Only because eventhough I love my ZAGG invisishield there is a slight lag with the spen over the film.
I'm guessing that wont happen with the Glas.t

Yes, the package is a freaking story book for this damn screen protector. Right till now, this is the most expensive screen protector I have bought to date, and can be found only in gmarket so far. This is kind of like a hybrid matte/clear screen protector, where the matte layer is layered over the clear one slightly, and a protective coating on top of the layers if I understand it correctly.
I've been using it for 3 weeks, and I have to say this is one of the best screen protectors I have owned to date. The screen is smooth, not much clarity is sacrificed, cutting is great, and the best part is how EASY it is to wipe oil stains off the screen. When I wipe the screen with a cloth, I do not even have to use a single bit of strength. As instructed in the booklet, I just have to wipe the screen by circling with the cloth. 3 weeks into the usage, and I already like it a lot and would recommend it despite the high price.
This is not the most expensive I've ever paid for a screen protector, but it is close enough.
The 3M Estoc+ is indeed one of the best around. Easy to the touch and glide, the feel is almost powdery. Its readability and color clarity is on par with a glossy SP, saves there is no gloss at all. It is in fact matte!
I also find that it is suitably thick but not enough to hinder the sensitivity of the screen.
All in all, very good product.
Thanks, Vulpix, for introducing this to me and allowing me to join your purchase.
can you tell us how much did you pay for the screen protector (plus shipping cost to Singapore) ?

Ehhh, I had this before I put on the Estoc. The problem was the coating coming off after a few weeks, which prompted me to search for a new screen protector. I wouldn't bother with the Ultra Oleo.

I bought this from Amazon and the first day it got scratched. A big ugly one where the you could see a slice of rainbow effect. Not recommended! Might try Vikuiti or just get SGP Glass b/c it's sexy.
I want one of these but it is impossible to order on gmarket even with chrome translations etc. How did you guys order this? Is there a website user guide or somethin?
using it for 3 weeks, it really excellent. Not the most expensive screen protector i used, but certainly one of the best. Thank you Vulpix for ordering for me

The ones on eBay are the worst ss in the world I've used them they are horrible and crumple easily u will know once u receive them
Vikuiti are the best ones I have ever used hands down. Better than Martin Fields (these are my second favorite but they scratch more easily) and way better than any nonames. I was not uncommon for them to last half a year without tiniest scratch and much longer than that if ur not as fussy as I am.
Don't get http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Savvies-...ting_LaptopAccessories_RL&hash=item27bf6538f0
Just got mine today and while it was relatively easy to apply on (feels a bit cheap though), it's slightly too big for the Note's screen and the home button cutout is in the wrong location.
Waiting eagerly for SGPStore / Steinheil to start stocking Galaxy Note screen protectors... now they're really quality. Base films made and finished in Japan, packaged in Korea. Pricey but awesome.

I wonder if the Note has Corning Gorilla glass screen just like the Galaxy S2. I don't think I'll ever need a screen protector if that's the case. I've been using the Galaxy S2 without any screen protector for months and it's still as good as new.
From what I've read elsewhere on another thread, it doesn't have Gorilla Glass.
Just ordered the Skinomi fully body one with the CF back. I'll let you guys know how it turns out.
Dropped my Note for the first time today and noticed 3 small surface scratches. Damn it!!! As soon as Zagg releases an InvisiShield protector I'm all on it.
I've only ever tried one Martin Fields and it was TERRIBLE -

http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_note-4135.php according to this it has gorilla glass.
but as is always the case, thin glass made to cover a large surface area will be more fragile than this glass made to cover a smaller surface area.
i just bought a dell streak otterbox impact case, was able to cut it to fit my note. using the included dell streak screen protector as well, just big enough to cover the usable part of the screen. should last until my proper screen protector arrives.

Screen protector recommendations

Does it cover the whole front face and is it wet or dry?
I dont have my phone yet.. in the USA. But the screen protector looks like it covers the whole glass. It's a wet application. I have tried dry ones and they are impossible to install without bubbles/dust/not centered. I dont use full bodies any more. A case is much more practical and saves a phone form a drop.

Why would you use screen protector on Galaxy Nexus?? It's for cheap phones with cheap glass which can be scratched. This one can't. Take a look at YouTube/Google: Galaxy Nexus Key scratch test: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyLC61JxsJQ
I have never used screen protectors or cases with high end phones, this is ruining all the experience.

That test is dumb. A key is not very high on the hardness scale. Likely around nickel or steel (4-5)
Sand (quartz) is a 7
He should do a sandpaper test.

Recommend a "full screen" protector?

I'm looking for a screen protector that fully covers the front screen. I've indicated the most common areas that are not covered by various screen protectors out there:

I'd like at least areas A, C, and D covered. Can anyone recommend a good film for this? I don't want any of the soft films like BSE or Zagg that will easily indent with regular stylus use. Like most other users, I'd prefer something with minimal rainbow effect, good image clarity, and fingerprints that are easy to wipe off (I don't mind fingerprints but I'd like to be able ot easy wipe them off - oleophobic coatings are a bit extreme IMO). I've read a bunch of reviews here on xda and other forums of different SPs but each one seems to have one major drawback or doesn't cover the screen like I'd prefer. Any suggestions?
Anyone?
SGP GLAS.t. Hands down the best. Trust me I have tried them all and wasted too much money in the process.

im honestly not certain how some people can be having so many problems.
(im not saying that there can't be...)
I have the Zagg HD with a case on my phone and it covers pretty much everything that I could want, its nice and clear, it's stayed on well, it feels way nicer than the old Zagg screen protectors ( you can still feel it) but my finger glides very nicely on it, it cleans off well.
the only problem I've heard about it that people dont like is that it dents easily ( I haven't managed to dent it yet except for while I was applying it.
people are saying the dents don't go away....and after I dented mine I was worried that would be the case for me too, but sure enough, 2 days later, I noticed the dents were gone.
Now...I got mine for 50% off ($10) would I pay $20? eh......yeah...but I might investigate some other options first.
now...as far as wrecking the phone...nah, be careful don't get a ton of solution in any of the holes, and make sure you have the battery out when you do it. I'd also leave the battery out for a few hours if you really want to be careful but I tossed mine back in almost immediately.
There are many peoole who are unhappy with this zagg after googling. Most of the review are only half good. I think I will skip this. And get the curved spigen

Damn that looks bad. Mine was just like yours but not as bad. I finally went with a spg ultra clear and didn't have a problem with it. Feels and looks like glass. Zagg's are not the greatest. I will never use a Zagg again.

It just got worse and worse and worse, I couldn't bear it. They then want to charge you for shipping and handling to get it replaced, which is AFTER you send it back. It's so stupid. It's not just phones either, I had a zagg on my iPad 2 a few years back that did the same. I got it for the S3 because I assumed they would realize their stupidity. Oh well.
Where did you get yours? Link please .
I ordered the Spectre glass, hopefully that does the job.
hmm someone has to post their screens of these other protectors people have been mentioning.
Ram, how long have you been using that screen protector? I've had mine for about 3 months now.. and it has maybe one or two small marks similar to yours. You seem to be making very good use of the screen protector lol.

That's exactly how my first replacement looked like after two weeks. I'm on my third and even though it's better then the previous two I had it still has two marks that won't get away and I can't stand the rubber feel.

Zagg is crap like most people know. I had one on my old GNex and it felt like crap and dented really easily. So I got Skinomi.
If you want a good wet apply screen protector then Skinomi is the one. Little to no orange peel, and doesn't have that rubbery feeling. xoskins is also good but it's more rubbery. Free shipping too for US and Canada.

Thats about what mine looks like too. Zagg HD sucks.
This is what happened to my phone when i tried to use zagg.
Wow HanMan that looks horrible. I've had Zagg covers in the past but I've never seen such denting. I've tried the cheap screen protectors available on auction websites for a few dollars and overall they aren't horrible and offer at least some protection. Much better than having a screen that looks as bad as what you are observing.
They aren't the best available anymore, but they get the job done when applied correctly. I have them installed on all my devices.
