Great news waIting for it

Its Official
" We are in an Interview with Mr, Lennard Hoornik in Singapore at the HTC One X Launch. We have confirmed news that the One X will be available in India starting Monday 2nd April 2012. The Price is expected to be about Rs. 35000/-.
Mr. Hoornik says that the products for markets like India need to be more durable and long lasting."
He added that Indian languages play an important role in the Indian Android market and with ICS on their future devices, We can expect added language support.

Thinking of this kind of thread in the section. I have been searching for the price and release date on net. And I found the most hits for 38k price and Apr2 for release date.
Are you sure about the price?

I'm wondering why did he make that comment only for market's like India? Is it because like in India everyone buy's handsets @ their full cost(SIM free & unlocked) rather than yearly or 2 yearly contracts like in other places??
Also, with reference to it being "long lasting", what do you feel about the unibody design of the One X & it's affect on repairs/replacement & post warranty durability? Isn't it a contradiction in terms?? Please refer to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24232125#post24232125

Well flipkart didnt mention the price until 7pm this evening and now the one x is out of stock and some moron has reviewed the phone on flipkart . Weird. Checked PDA Cafe in bangalore , they are not expecting stock until 10th April.

^^well its up for pre-order on the mobile store website for 35.8k although only the black version is there. no white ships out from 4th onward. IMO the street price will be around 34k once stock is there.

In a press event held in Taiwan today where HTC unveiled the upgraded versions – HTC One X+ and HTC One S Special Edition, general manager of HTC North Asia, Mr Jack Tong revealed to the press that starting tomorrow HTC One X users in Asia will receive Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware upgrade, while HTC One S users a little bit later (hasnt specified an exact date).
The software upgrade will also bring HTC‘s newest UI (user interface) HTC Sense 4+ beside the new Android version. This is good news for all HTC One X and One S users although HTC hasnt said a word about a global JellyBean rollout yet.
Getting back to One X+ and One S SE these upgraded models should hit Asian shelves around October 30, no world about other markets.

So does that mean I can get an update tomorrow?
I said it was the CID of Indian version, we have to wait until the OTA was released.
So the update is currently rolling out in Asia? Or is that just a bull**** editorialised title? This info could have just been added to the current JB thread (in fact I think it was), no need for a whole new thread.

New threat is fine with me, thank you for the information.
Good thing I'm on HTC_044, right? Haha. Hopefully developers incorporate the updates from tomorrow (as soon as someone posts the OTA), then I can update my HBOOT and the like via RUU and finally have Jellybean (that takes full control of the camera). Yay.

Well, we'll find out how reliable they are in the next 24-48 hours, won't we?
I don't think we will get it today, the 26th. According to that source, it would begin rolling out in Asia. So lets assume that is Taiwan, they have only 6 hours left before it's the 27th and the working day is already over.
So I think we have to wait a little longer.
What a load of old rot...! I thought Samsung was bad at rolling out updates, but HTC take top prize..! The s3 comes to the market months after the Hox and yet they are rolling out jb now..?! I know htc is a smaller company but surely focusing more on customer support would give them a good reputation and help boost sales... I for one would pay more for a handset from a company that responded well to customer feedback..! And yet again another rumour about an ota being released but no one has gotten it...! Do the HTC reps just talk crap to get headlines...???

Ok, I think that the name of this thread should be change immediately as it's causing confusion. As I know the JB hasn't started rolling out and this is inadequate name for a thread.

Anybody getting the Smartwatch 3?

Hey all
Sony's next generation smartwatch is a considerable step up in specs compared to its predecessor, packing a 1.2GHz Quad-core processor and a 320 x 320 LCD display, it certainly looks like a good upgrade. The rubber strap appears to have gone down rather badly, so Sony has addressed this by releasing a metal strap in addition, personally i would of preferred Sony to of made this smartwatch compatible with standard watch straps giving a much better choice. Then again we are yet to see if Sony has any other ideas, the "pop out" design could be used in other wearable applications, say on the sleeve of a jacket. Its going to be interesting to see if Sony makes full use of this design.
So who's upgrading? Or is this device drawing in new smartwatch owners?

I actually bought a Moto360 and returned it to buy the Sony.
3 things were bothering me from the beginning:
Black bar on the bottom. In my opinion a major design flaw.
Battery life compared to other smart watches
Usage of the old chip (I should note that in the couple of days that i had it, the processor seemed fine to me; but the fact that they used a 4 year old chip on a state of the art watch pissed the **** out of me. What ever their reasoning might have been. I couldn't comprehend their choice.
I was so blinded by the looks that i ignored them until i owned it. Finally i decided not to break my principals based on looks and returned it. I was looking for a more fitness oriented smartwatch since the beginning and the sony seems like a better fit. i just don't understand why it doesn't have a heart rate monitor???
Anyways i hope the release date is correct and the device works as advertised, because i have been waiting a long time to get a watch and frankly cant wait anymore. fingers crossed.

Although, if available then, I'll probably buy with metal strap
I'm hesitating, the 360 is Frickin neat but I had both Sony watches and they were both damned good. I guess I'll wait to see what owners say about the Sony SW3 before I decide.

Any news on US retail availability?
Confirmed with Sony that the SW3 does not have wifi.

Hey guys, what's up, ZI Jin Cheng here and this is the review of the Elephone P8000, Elephone's flagship device. I'm very impressed with this device and the only two reasons why I'm not using it as my daily driver is that it is too big and isn't supported by my carrier.

What would you say: P7000 or P8000?
This one seems to have a worse CPU but better battery life.
Another question: where the f*ck are the speakers of the phone? :S
P.S.: No 4G compatibility for the UK for this one, probably gonna stick to P7000.

No idea where you got al that completely wrong info from.
Also, EE is the most popular 4G network in the UK, not o2/giff gaff.
The phone supports all 3 different 4G bands used by UK networks.

Check for yourself and see that it does not cover O2/giffgaff.
Secondly, I am confident enough to say that O2 and especially giffgaff is the most popular network (do not know whether 3G or 4G, but that is not the point). It has the lowest tarriff and the goodybags are a bargain, which in turn make it quite desirable. Coverage is also great.
P.S.: I am not advertising giffgaff in any case, I just answered to your queries. I was really considering getting this instead of the P7000 (I still haven't ordered), but I do need the 4G on giffgaff and on my Greek network.
Woaaah, BIG EDIT:
It suddenly registers that giffgaff is going to work on 4G with this phone. Did they just change it or what?

Really nice phone, at least according to the specs and the price. I currently have a ZTE V5 Pro and I am not pleased with the software. Hopefully the ZTE Axon Mini premium has a better ROM.
Also, those that are interested, the phone will be on sale for $299 tomorrow at Aliexpress (Source: http://dealsnow.info/2015/12/09/zte-axon-mini-premium-available-for-just-299/ - contains affiliate link)
it will be released tomorrow, so the price is not the final one .
Seems excellent! The design is absolutely fantastic. Do you know if it will be available in other colors, too? The gold is OK, but I would preffer a black, or a silver one. Anyway the specs seem very promising. If it's price is well under 299$, then we could compare the Axon mini Premium with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. Also, I would like to see a real life comparison between the Helio X10 (Redmi Note 3's chip) and the Snapdragon 616.

Current price is over $300 and the sale tomorrow has it at $299. Considering the phone is new, I suspect the price will drop a little in the next two months, however, I doubt it will fall under $249 fast. The specs are ncie and it does come with some interesting tech (like force-touch or eye-scanner).
ZTE Axon Mini seems to be a very good smartphone for its price.
The only drawback for me its the rear camera, i would to see a 16MP rear camera on this bad boy.
285$ for a smartphone is not a big amount. Geekbuying seems to have it on offer

The only drawback for me its the rear camera, i would to see a 16MP rear camera on this bad boy.
285$ for a smartphone is not a big amount. Geekbuying seems to have it on offer

The one from Geekbuying is the previous version with SD615 and without force-touch and eye scanner. The extra 15$ is worth for getting the newer version.

The link I posted in the second comment as far as I could find will have it the cheapest when the sale starts. Everywhere else only had the non-premium version and the price difference is small, while the hardware difference are big.

it is already for 285.99$ in geekbuying. they usually ship fast aswell- just got a tronsmart charger i bought in the black friday sale- sent with Netherlands post and arrived in about 10 days. i can't add links since i'm new here, so just check their x-mas sale page.

I already mentioned that the one from Geekbuying is the non-premium version. It comes with Snapdragon 615 instead of SD616 and the screen does not have force-touch.
I bought one on geekbuying for 300$ it's not a 615 but a 616 as seen in attachment
Really great device BTW
Edit : in fact CPU-Z confirm it's a 615, my bad sorry

Also, I don't think your screen has force-touch.
i think i have read somewhere that it will be using snapdragon 616 instead of 615... can anyone confirm this?
also at geekbuying its only 269$, quite cheap

The "Premium" version comes with SD616. Also, it has a force-touch screen and eye-scanner, features that are not on the non-premium version.

In their promotion page they mention the SD615 and the eye-scanner (by mistake?), but not the force-touch screen. It seems like it's the "standard" edition and I don't think they have the premium one.

yeah, the tronsmart car charger is the special product for them. Xmas sale seems very attractive.
Can you tell me which one should buy , Xiaomi redmi note 3 or ZTE axon mini?

I have the same version as you and bought it in europe,
The cpu is a snapdragon 616 with 4cores 1,5 and 4 1,2ghz .
The cpuz got it wrong, it says 615 because it cannot recognize the 616 yet.
The 615 has the 4 second cores at1 ghz max,
I can confirm that with the European version

UK pre-order thread

Does anyone know when the device will be available for pre order in the UK?
The HTC US website has it listed as available, but the UK website has nothing.
Any ideas on price too?
CPW says it will be available to pre-order from tomorrow (13th).

Did you ask in store? I didn't see anything on their website
If you like the sound of the HTC 10, you’ll be able to pre-order it from Carphone Warehouse tomorrow (13 April)

It's up for pre-order on HTC's site and on Clove now too.
I'm hoping CPW offer the black screen with silver back, they often get exclusive colours. So far I've only seen all black or white and silver for the UK.
Wont buy one until ive heard reviews of the speakers as anything not like front speakers no go for me

Order through HTC UK, use promo code "HTC10" and price comes down to £512.
Yeah I did that for the black one after seeing the code in another thread. Only £13 more than the G5 I had on order
I'll only cancel if the price is cheaper at cpw or they have the black face with silver back one for the same sort of price.

I've just done the same, a great price for the phone. I know it will be better than my 6S
What's the official EU price? I'm getting 749 EUR on Spain store don't know if the code is working or not. I also have no idea if this is the 32 or 64 gb version.. Website has no info even if you add it to cart.

£569.99 is price, before promo code, on HTC UK site.
I'm waiting on very.co.uk, as they're currently offering 20% off first orders for new customers until the end of May. So hopefully it goes up soon
Not including potential cashback through TCB
So If all goes to plan snag the HTC 10 in the mid to late £400 range
If not I'll just take the plunge on htc.co.uk
Just ordered HTC10 for £512 from htc incl express delivery...
Sent from my LG-D855 using XDA-Developers mobile app

This is not a model for the SD820 !!
That's a really old screenshot when they erroneously had the spec for the A9 showing when it first launched, it doesn't show that now.
Scroll to the bottom to see the full UK (and rest of world bar a few emerging markets) spec:

Maybe old specification text, maybe
Look polish site:

Htc confirm the selling price in Poland's version of "Lifestyle". The flagship version has not yet been confirmed.

That's the SD820 version.
Not order!!

I'd expect somewhere to offer it in Poland if it's on the regional website. Hopefully in the next few days.
