Make sure you check before you leave the shop... - HTC One X

I'm glad I didn't buy mine online! Well, I ordered online, but picked up in-store.
First one, white. Awesome! Except a small smudgy area of light on the screen, only visible on dark-ish to black backgrounds. Screen fault
I went back into Carphone Warehouse, and they had one white One X left. Yay!
Checked the screen before I left, and it had a dead pixel.
Decided to look at the grey version, and it didn't look awful, so I went for that.
Dead pixel
And another grey one with a dead pixel!
I ended up walking out of the shop with the fifth phone I tried that day - the fourth grey version. That was the first one without any screen issues. They only had two One Xs left in the shop after that. They seemed as pissed off with me at the quality control.
I'm loving the phone - I think it's fantastic - but make sure you spend 20seconds checking the screen if you buy it in-store. Might just save you a lot of hassle.

I think you're what they call a nightmare customer
90% of phone users wouldn't know what a dead pixel is, let alone look for it.

If I noticed a dead pixel it would drive me crazy. Id have to take it back as well.

You know that display manufacturers specify that a certain NUMBER of pixels must've failed before the screen is classed as failed don't you? I suppose they don't tell the sales monkeys that!

Haha same, the dark burn-like marks on some S2s (like mine ; I read that its actually the adhesive they use).
But thanks op, I was going to get mine online but CPW it is... nothing like annoying them right
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium

Ha! I think if they see me walk into the store again they'll probably run away.
They were great about it though - I knew some manufacturers have a certain threshold when it comes to returns and dead pixels, but I said, "if it was a £60 phone, I wouldn't be too bothered, but for £500 I want all pixels present & correct!"
No-one tried to argue that it was a minor issue, so fair play to the CPW chaps. For me, dead pixels are maddeningly annoying - once you've seen one you can't un-see it. Just thought I'd post a heads-up in case people were buying in a shop and not checking the screen first.

I won't be able to get the amount of cash back on the deal I want if I go into a store.. which pretty much means no quality control for me. I have always done it, with my HD2, Desire and my SGS. Got to do it though! There's nothing worse than watching a film, gets to a dark scene and theres some red dot sitting there staring at you Especially if your One X is going to be your precious for the next few years

First one i got had a dead camera now i have a white one everything is fine.
Gesendet von meinem HTC One X mit Tapatalk

I got mine a few days ago and lo and behold I have a dead pixel in the top left hand corner of the screen.
I have tried all the pixel fixing Apps to no avail.
Contacted Handtec and now am awaiting their reply. Fingers crossed I get a replacement quickly as I have now given my old desire away.
Rob

I will buy mine in a Swisscom shop (I already have a contract but I'm able to choose my phone "later" to get a discount). I ask myself if they will be as understanding as other shops. I mean - they already got the contract signed, they couldn't care less if the phone was bad or not - they don't make that much money anyway as I will get it for around 250-300CHF. I will wait for some more weeks I think and probably also ask them if I can test it directly in the store and whether they would replace it or not and probably also explain why I am that cautious (many reports of faulty devices on the interwebz). Let's hope for the best!

Well, buying off the Internet has its advantages too, thanks to the Distance Selling Regulations, with regards to the Cooling Off Period. It states that if you haven't met the seller face to face, and you're not happy with the goods, you have the right to change your mind within 7 days of receiving it. Notify them in writing (email is good) and send it back. Know your rights people.

Just received mine today and one dead pixel, in the middle of the screen!
Phone up O2, they are sending a brand new phone to my local O2 store on Thursday, take my faulty one day old HTC One X to them tomorrow.
If this replacement has or develops a faulty screen I shall be taking it back, cancelling my contract and demanding a full refund for the upfront payment!
Cannot believe I have him mine last then 24 hours and a screen fault has occurred!
@BeciMester regarding this post with the cooling off period. (Cannot post links because of eight post rule)
If it goes over the 7 day period and the fault appears again, am I entitled to cancel my contract and receive the refund or will I be fully tied in then stuck in the loop if/when other replacements start acting up?
If that is the case then I may just cancel tomorrow and wait for the S3. I cannot be doing with a scenario like wilkomints has had/having, I would be on the verge of killing someone!

I think that "burrier" is supposed to mean "undertaker"

Been contemplating sending mine back due to the battery life but when I read things like this I realise it's best I wait it out for the OTA.
My phone is perfect from a hardware point of view. No yellow taint, no dead pixels, no creaking or rattling.
Unfortunately I don't have the luxury of just going into a shop because I bought online. :-(

The 'Returns and Replacements' thread.

I've read a lot about people who have returned their phones. I thought it would be handy if we had one thread where people could state if they have returned their phone, why it was returned and how many devices they have been through.
I have sent mine back today. Dial a Phone said they would send a prepaid 'Special Delivery' envelope, however they only sent first class. I won't be able to track it now.
It was sent due to the screen flickering as I have mentioned in the other thread.
Hopefully it will be the first and last time I have to do so.
Same as OP. Sent today pre paid envelope to DAP for same reasons. White model made in Taiwan. Screen strobing on greys on all brightness levels.
Sent an exchange request to Affordable Mobiles (screen ripples and strobing), won't surprise me if they take days to respond and then ask me to pay for postage

Did you get a prepaid special delivery envelope or was it prepaid first class?
Wonder what the turn around on this will be. Hope it will be here before Thursday as it's getting delivered to my Dads and he's off on holiday for a week.

Pre paid first class, however I paid for SD as didn't want to risk losing it.
Check your DAP account under my messages. I've already got a message from them couple of days ago saying order process has been delayed until tomorrow. Guess they are just awaiting arrival of phone sent today before dispatching new one.
I'm just returning from Carphone Warehouse's store where I returned my One X for a refund. Yesterday I got the first one I bought replaced, just to find a little bit later that the replacement exhibits the same screen flickering / banding / glitches issues as the first one. What really pissed me off with the replacement was that in addition half of its sensors were broken:
* Panasonic 3-axis Magnetic Field sensor
* Panasonic Orientation sensor
* Panasonic Rotation Vector
* Panasonic Liner Acceleration
* Panasonic Gravity
So the guys at Carphone Warehouse were kind enough to immediately issue me a refund, but what really amazed me is that they acted as if I was just the most unlucky person in the world and they have never heard of anyone else having those issues.
The moral from this - I just didn't want to waste my time any more hoping and waiting for the dreaded HTC firmware update.
I have asked to return mine and am awaiting a returns envelope from phones4u to send it back in, however the phone was dropped yesterday and has scuffed the casing so waiting to here if this will cause a problem with the return as per this thread.

returned my one x back ! will wait for the next galaxy to come out, till then galxy nexus will do the job !
had two white one x's. two were having the creaking noise. the other one had the power button loose and the other one had software issues. got me a grey one today and this is the third one. so far this one feels more solid than the other two i had. came close each time to going for the galaxy nexus but i thought maybe third time lucky....so far so good and i am glad i kept this
My OneX arrived back at buymobilephones.net this morning for non-working g-sensor and they say its working fine!!.
I did everything to try and get it working and it suddenly starts once it goes back!.
Not impressed with that for a start.
Slim
Just returning my 2nd hox from three UK (grey) model.
1st HTC one x was dead on arrival, not charging or turning on.
2nd HTC has screen flickering and all usual bugs, intermittent graphic anomalies, coloured bars on left while using camera, browser distorted graphics in top bar and weird box in middle of screen, sense reloading constantly even with 2 factory resets.
Phoned HTC and they said they new of no problems or bugs with one x and no updates coming. Very worrying. 3rd handset on way, last chance HTC then over to galaxy III.
Now getting my third handset tomorrow. All been white.
1st phone. Shocking battery life.
Second phone. Hairline crack, screen flicker, screen glitches

just wonder whats about the dropbox space, every phone another 23gb? did you try to pump up another account?

Currently holding the One S, no issues yet, battery life seems to be great. Get my One X tomorrow, man I got my fingers crossed it will be ok, going to upload a vid comparing them I will link it here, fingers crossed no issues... god I am hoping lol
Ere u go , HTC UK.

So if my phone is doing all of these I should return it:
1. Has a flickering screen
2. Flash makes everything yellow on camera
3. Browser UI is glitching up on me with graphical distorts
4. Battery dies in 20mins of use
5. Keyboard moves me to random places while I type
Yes or no?
Sounds like most of you are getting nowhere returning them all the time. And it sounds like some of you are getting shoddy repair jobs done that are breaking the phone even more.
Logic tells me to get a refund and wait untill a model that works is released and buy the phone again. I love this phone too
Just sent my white HTC one x back to buymobilesdirect as it had screen corruption under touch pressure, fantastic phone apart from that.
Will have my new one on wednesday, fingers crossed!
I bought GTA 3 and showdowgun will I be able to redownload for free or am I going to have to pay for them again??
Made taiwan ht23

Would you return...

So I'm on my 6th handset, and no flickering at last.
However this one has a dead pixel (again) and the front speaker holes where the led is are mis aligned, wonky basically and tbh I think it looks tacky like a cheap knock off
I'm torn between doa'ing this and going onto the 7th handset or just living with the two issues
What would you do?

7th time's a charm...
Those issues would bug me more tbh than the screen flicker which I currently experience but holding hope that 1.30 will resolve it. Try again and hope that the next handset is the holy grail.
Return it again until you get a good one mate. At the end of the day you are on a phone that you will be using at least a minimum for a year..so i say take it back

Personally I'd just return, the One X is an Amazing Handset, and you shouldn't have to live with a defective unit, i'm not sure why you're so unlucky to get 6 of them, but better to persist than give up and then not be able to return later.

I often cant help to think that people only find (some of the minor) issues with handsets once they have been on the forums and then go to look for them.
I wonder if I passed what i think to be a defect free handset to someone that has had more than 6 or 7 replacements that they would find defect that I dont see?
Just a thought….
Steve
No offence, but, return it and move on to a different handset... It is insane for anyone to buy/return/exchange 6-7 times for a product. Clearly the product doesn't work for you. If I have to exchange a product more than once, I'm done with that product..

That's the thing, I could, but to me there just isn't any competition to it, 100% working it wipes the floor with anything else (i hate Samsung's touchwiz and everything else they do with it like the stock browser has no desktop mode at least on sgs2, desktop mode is necessary for me) if there was a nexus with the same specs I wouldnt mind that, but then again I'm hooked on sense there's so many little features that I take for granted now and when I use another phone, it just doesn't feel right. And that's why I have to keep swapping, once I find the perfect one (which should have been the first one dammit) I will be a happy bunny
Edit: damn sense, any other product would have absolute maximum 2 tries then it would be off to another brand

I've almost driven myself mad trying to decide whether to return my HOX due to the flicker at low brightness. The problem is that for me it's a bit of a PITA to find the time to return to the shop, and the other thing is that both of the HOXs that colleagues of mine own, which came from different shops entirely, also exhibit exactly the same issue. So considering my phone is otherwise a very good example without any of the other issues I've heard about, I've decided to stick with it and see what the 1.30 update does.
This issue definitely isn't bothering me just because it's mentioned on this forum; I discovered the discussions on here after noticing the flicker myself.
I'd return it and get a replacement.

[Q] Once bitten twice shy - should I get the S3?

HTC One X owner from India..big fan of HTC products..until now.
After several weeks of careful deliberation I decided to buy the infamous HTC One X, brushing aside the wide variety of build defects being reported all over the internet.
The first time around I discovered the damned WiFi issue and immediately got a DOA certificate from HTC. Got my replacement HOX this Saturday, a brand new piece, and foolishly enough I didn't check the phone at the store. I also had the option of buying an S3 but decided to settle with a HOX (because of my loyalty to HTC)
Later I realized that the display has a big yellow spot on the top and a glaring black spot (both clearly visible on a white background) right in the center of the screen. Rushed back to the store and got another DOA certificate.
My dilemma is - should I trust HTC the third time around? I really want to, despite the nightmare I have faced, but is it worth it? Should I just get the freaking S3?
You should stick with HOX in my opinion you were just extremely unlucky on the first two, if you're used to HTC phones you are going to miss a lot of features and sense if you go for the S3.

Lol had the same dilemma after my first HOX had the screen flex issue.
But samsung service sucks here so i decided to give HOX another go, Fortunately for me the replacement seems perfect with only the rattle sound being an issue/, But i heard its quite normal in all smartphones so i am happy now
get another HOX you wont regret it.

Thanks guys..well the unanimous opinion here seems to be in favor of the HoX. I am quite keen to give HTC one more shot so I've decided to wait till a new batch comes in (the one that gave me trouble was the SH24LW). I have also written to HTC Asia customer grievances. Let's see what they have to say about it.
The funny thing is when I went to the service center today I met 4 people there with issues ranging from WiFi to overheating and display problems. I spoke to these folks and they were all intermediate to advanced users. What I really feel enraged about is the fact that an average or novice user who buys this device is never going to notice all these issue and end up owning a substandard product that's going to give him problem in the longer run.
Its not everyday you buy such an expensive device and the least you would expect is to get some promise of quality from a global giant like HTC.

You see the problem here is that you have to buy the device first before you can break the seal and have a look inside.. and once you do that you inadvertently end up buying the device.. which means if theres a defect you go to the service center, which is about 10 miles from the store, and get a DOA certificate.. then come back all the way round and replace the phone. My cost of ownership of this phone has already surpassed the original price by 50$. Not to mention the 2 days of productivity lost at work!

do you not have the seven day return policy? so say if you are not happy with the handset you got that 7 day window to return it?
that is what we have over here in the UK and makes life a lot easier specially for those who can not make their mind up.
anyways you can still use the guide and ask these questions at the store were you purchase the phone and that way you can have a peace of mind about it if the employees are helpful that is and answer your questions

Unfortunately, we enjoy no such privilege here. The store just retails the product and if you face a problem you have to approach the manufacturer directly.
As for asking questions at the store - here's an interesting story for you. When I informed the salesman about the overheating problem he asked me to use headphones instead
Then I showed him the display issue and he asked me not to open apps with a white background. At the HTC service center I overheard the engineer tell a customer that he cant use headphones other than the ones bundled with the phone otherwise the phone's warranty will be voided. I gave him such a look that he mellowed down and gave up on that logic.

This is India dude..I wouldn't be surprised if the engineers at the service center are unaware of even the screen resolution of one x..happened with me at Samsung's service center..guy told me that s2 n Note have exactly the same resolution..so don't rely on their judgement..just check that the phone is from the latest lot ie either HT25 or 26 or SH series..I would recommend that u go with HT series which stands for manufactured in Taiwan..mine is a real early Taiwan build of March and its flawless in every department..

Me too using ht version and I am from India . Just go for one more hox . You will get a good one. My prayers for you.

My first android phone I have been lucky the only thing I can find wrong with mine is that it makes a hissing noise when recording in 1080p I just turn off stereo and records fine no hiss. If I was in your shoes 2 faulty devices I would diff go for the sgs3 that many f ups is unexceptable

This is a One x forum, of course the unanimous opinion is going to be in favor of the One X. I always tell people who ask which one they should pick that they should base their choice on what they prefer in their phone. Both are the best on the market right now but depends if you like slcd screens or AMOLED technology, if you need a lot of storage, if you're attracted to the beautiful body of the phone, sense or touchwiz, battery life ect... You search what you want in your phone and pick which one to go with.

I do agree on this, lots of users had/ have issues with the one x, I happen to be one of the lucky people without any issues whatsoever and its been great. But again both phones are great so just make sure you know what you're looking for in a phone OP.

My 10th replacement phone.

Ok,
I just to share my pain with you guys. I keep reading you guys on the HOX update thread. I reckon by the time I get a phone without fault, it'll come with Jellybean straight out of the box.
I'm with Carphone Warehouse.
They are brilliant at arranging a swap. But, not so good at sending me a working phone it seems. I'll spare you the details about the issues, but they have all been genuine.
Spoke to a manager today, who said to send the phone to their office, and they will have a look at it. And they will inspect my replacement before they send it out.
However, I'm on the second month of my new contract now, and it's basically 2 months without the phone I ordered. I don't see the point in kicking off over the phone, as most of the time, they don't really have the authority to do much. Plus, it's no good for the blood pressure if you end up arguing with a jerk.
Far better to take your time and write a letter to head office, spelling out all the issues, the timeline and what you want as a resolution. And then sleep on it. Edit it, and sleep on it again before sending it.
If you were me, what would you ask them for? (apart from a working phone, but hopefully that is in the bag if they truly are going to inspect it)
I don't mind stupid comments as long as you give a sensible one as well. I could do with some light relief.
If you were me, what would you ask them for?
a galaxy s3 and be done with it, flawless first time
oh and it being a better phone will be a bonus to
it took me 3 one x's to get a decent one, gave that to the missus and got a gs3, its a much better phone
Your 2 months line rental back at a minimum

If you just want a phone ask if you can swap for a gs3(I had this option and didn't go for it because I don't find the gs3 better than the one x). If you still want a one x, let then let you pick it up in-store, maybe let you into the store room and puck the box personally. Even say if you can get the one x+ for free when it comes out

I would wonder why I wouldn't ask for a different phone after the third or fourth time.
Edit: Just pulled up reviews for CPW. They kinda suck if you look at their reviews. Perhaps it's not the phone, but who you've gotten 10 phones from.

Yes, they did offer me the SG3.
I don't like the screen. Nor the dialler. Or the design.
As for why I different ask for a different phone.
Kind of like those situations where you're waiting for a bus. And you've been waiting that long, you could have walked, but didn't, because you knew the next one would be here in a minute.
I've spoken to them, and if they don't send me out a working phone, without flaws, then I will be getting an SG3.
(but then, whose to say I won't have the same issues with the SG3!! I might just be one of those really unlucky SOB's...)
I mean, given probability, you would have thought that by the 8th one, I would have got a working one.
What I don't want to do, is end up over on the SG3 forum, with the same title, except it saying
My 10th replacement SG3.
And 4 months into my contract.
Yes, you're right. Definitely the 2 months line rental.
You have my sympathy, it took me 4 replacements on the 3 network to get a usable phone and I thought I had it bad, you're doing well not to lose it, sounds like Carphone Warehoue are being decent at least with swapping them out each time rather than a repair.
Then again, with 3 i'm still on 1.28 with bugs galore so it's still not 100%. I would definitely be asking for the 2 months back as you haven't had the benefit of the service you're paying for. I really would have thought HTC would have these problems sorted by now, I'm very surprised.
I would probably at this point even ask for a refund, hold out a month or two and maybe either try again or opt for another phone if something else you fancied came along.
If they are going to check out the new replacement first, maybe give them this chance and then consider your options. Good luck!
@Op,
10 new replacements in 2 months does make me think your story is crap, that's how I see it.

I'd have gone through two. Maybe three. But ten? Unless there was a bad run and CPW got all of them the odds of getting that many defective devices in a row are astronomical. Early in the launch when the One X was at its worst the "perfect vs. non-perfect poll" showed 70% declared perfect by their owners. Out of ten that's seven that were fault free. OP, you seem to have bad karma with the One X. I'd suggest not tempting the gods any longer and finding a substitute.
I also say total crap,
Carphone warehouse wouldn't even replace it 10 times, they would have offered a different phone or scrapped the contract long before now.
I've had one HOX, (release day 5th april)
The one I'm using now is the same phone, it's faultless.
Oh, and I got it from Carphone Warehouse.

So true :good:
Op hasn't mentioned what the "fault or flaw" is that he has experienced. Utter Bull crap if you ask me.
I feel so sorry for htc...because of these people that send their phones back for a creaking screen or flashing lcd's bla bla bla. It is breaking htc to the point of needing a bail-out from the Taiwanese Banks!
I've owned my One X since May and experienced all of the bugs that have been discussed in these forums but I never gave up on her, she's been wonderful to me. Luckily I don't have any hardware defects and accept that she is what she is a hot & sexy and occasionally sometimes difficult to be with. But I love my One X to the end.
Sorry for the rant but really come on 10 returns?? Why didn't you switch service providers after the 3rd return? And next time tell us what flaw's you were experiencing other wise we'll just think you're talking utter crap...end
Well I have just received my fifth replacement (First four because of GPS issues), and this one I found, to my dismay, has a faulty touch screen. I.e. the top third of the screen doesn't register any touch, and I can't drag notification bar down, or search for apps in Play Store etc etc.
This one was FROM HTC.... ugh
Wow 10 replacements does sound bad indeed. Maybe you are just to picky, or they keep sending you the same phone
i got mine since it came out. The only problem with it is the creacking on the left side. It does seem annoying sometimes but not enough to start bugging htc or complain about sh*t quality. I love my phone as it is. Theres nothing perfect in this world

Yea mine also seems to have that issue and the light leak at the bottom on a black screen, but it's not enough for me to send it back. I only had one issue with the phone after I got it and that was a faulty SIM card, but my Service provider, MTN Just swapped it the next day. I love my phone and am running JB ROM now. it makes all the difference. 10 swaps seems like a picky user or you must have been a terrible person in your previous life.

Well just so you know HTC/retailers/carriers dont just keep the returned phones. They resell them to other customers in different manners depending on how honest the party is. HTC is having financial problems because people just dont buy their phones to begin with. I just started working at a phone store and the people there push the SGS3 like crazy and customers just ask about IP4S )
And just because you like the ideal design/ concept/ the brand doesnt make the messy production acceptable. Idk about other major Android phone releases, but I've seen so many people who had to swap A COUPLE OF times just to get a decent one. That was a bit shocking. And I've seen people who claimed to have a perfect handset in the beginning now have issues with the wifi-antenna. SO just a reminder for those of you HTC police, before chastising the disgruntled customers, think about karma. Your perfect phones may be the next one in the line to be sent back to customer service and I'll be eagerly waiting for the story about your experience with HTC repair, especially those you that live in the UK.
PS: Just to say preemptively that Im not a Samsung/ Apple/ Sony fan boy. HTC is still my most favourite Android manufacturer but that doesnt mean I need to suck up to their horrendous quality control.
i call bull **** 10 phones u are either the unluckiest person alive or your trolling
Please, I wanna c a picture of ur face. Please.

@ averygagaanroid I totally agree with you.
My personal experience with htc thus far has been exceptional and the three gorgeous phone's I've owned from them in the last 5-6 years have been a Hero, Desire and One X and yes a have found bugs but I was patient enough and now I still have these perfect working phone's now.
I only hope that htc pull's through these hard times and comes out stronger because I will be buying my next phone from htc in the next 18 months.
What network are you working for?

Three replacements and four phones in thirty days. . .

So the first phone was new and had crackling speakers. Second phone that was sent to me was refurbished and had a smudge underneath the screen so it wasn't cleanable unless I opened the hw. Third refurbished phone had a glass gap between the screen and the base of the phone, so there was bleeding light coming from the back of the phone. Now T-Mobile is sending me a fourth refurbished (most likely) phone.
All the replacements seen to be refurbished.
Imagine. . .I played for S-Off each time and a screen protector each time. That's around $140 ($25x4 + $10x4) USD just on replacement bs.
Anyone else having these issues?
I unrooted, restored stock ota, re locked, and re s-oned the first two devices (fourth device is coming 6/1/15) to restore original (warranty) status despite all these issues being hardware related. Keep in mind I'm no newb to phones.

If you are not new to the phone section, you would not pay for s-off everytime before you check the phone for defects or whatever. So you could save a lot of money,
if you check your device with Pixel test and eyes before you set it s-off
Other then that, i do not have any problems with the phone. Its a huge improvment from m7 build quality to m9.

I already checked for defects. However it was only noticeable during the night. As for the smudge, it can be taken off with a microfiber, however once the oil of the skin touches the screen it comes back. All of these were freak incidents.
Pixel test has nothing to do with my problems with the phones as I have no dead pixels.
Like I said, definitely very aware of my phone and its uses. I've had every phone out there and do numbers of different ports for audio. So its not like this is my first rodeo.

T-Mobile is very generous as they credited me $60 at no hassle or haggling. They've sent me several replacements with no hassle. However they said if the third replacement they send me is defected, they'll allow me to choose a swap of the M9 for another phone. . .which is not what I want because I like this phone.

Sorry to hear that you're having issues getting a unit without defect. I ordered my developer edition phone a few days after it was available and it showed up in perfect condition. I had read about issues regarding gaps at the screen and body, and a "clicky" area at one of the screen boundaries, however my phone was free of all of those. My old M7 had one pixel that would only display in white, but I kept it and was very happy with it.
Bottom line - I hope you get an M9 that you are happy with, because this phone is awesome. As hamdir notes in the sticky thread at the top, the upcoming firmware update brings great improvements to daytime camera performance and battery performance. HTC continues to show themselves as a company dedicated to delivering a great experience for their customers.

That's all good and stuff. . but it's the hardware that is failing this device. All these defects. Don't get me wrong, I love my phone. However this is not okay for me and shouldn't be acceptable for anyone else.
I just want my phone to work as intended.

You appear to be the exception and not the rule with regard to defective M9s. If you hold out for an M9 that meets your standards, I think you'll be very pleased with the device. Good luck!
I ended up with 3 of them at one point. Got to choose between two grey and one gold silver. One of the greys had phucked up speakers. Kept it for a few weeks prior to paying for S off... What kind of momo would pay 25 USD the second they receive the phone. Ended up paying $450 cdn for one after all the credits they gave me for the hassle.

I wish I'd sent mine back. Horrid battery and camera experience with this one
If it makes you feel better, I went through 3 Galaxy S6s with defects before I went to the M9. Yeah, I'm not happy with this onr, but it's more the camera and the heat that's ruining my experience. I'm just not sure why the hell you paid for S-Off 4 times. After the first, I would have waited to make sure the phone was FLAWLESS.

Is the replacement with T-Mobile or asurion? Or another private insurance..I remember with my wifes note4 they gave us a new phone right there in the store..and it was past the 15 days return policy...but then again it was Verizon not T-Mobile

Hello boys and girls.
Would you be so kind to explain me how to understand if my htc one m9 is refurbished? Tried ##778# code and it does not work for me. And my phone is not rooted also.
Thank You in advance.
Best Regards,
So the third replacement they sent me (fourth phone) was also defected. So I finally called @HTC and explained to them what happened. They're sending me a new device, not some cleaned up BS used device. The one they will send me is going to be brand new. Good guys HTC (warranty).
